The woman shared that, in her early 30s she felt pressured to get married because everyone around her was doing same. In a bid to assist, a friend of hers match-make her with a man who lived outside her state. But while conversing with him she noticed that he sounded loud, proud and arrogant. It didn’t sit well with her but she decided to tag along and not judge him immediately.
Another thing she noticed was that he sometimes sends her 200 naira so she can get airtime; according to her, she didn’t complain because she wanted to maintain an impressive “wife material” persona.
But what was really off for her was that he sometimes called her at midnights when he would be clubbing. He would be shouting over the loud music saying, “baby! baby! I miss you! I wish you were here!“.
