Recall the singer was recently involved in a viral gist after the social media went awash with his name. A twitter user had claimed that Victor AD wrote the single “Jowo” for Davido.
But the singer has since cleared the air on the saga saying he never wrote any song for the afrobeat star.

A young man, Essien Akpoiko James, has been accused of running his best friend over with a car to avoid paying a debt of 30,000 Naira.
According to viral reports, Essien was owing one Ephraim Edet who is said to be his best friend, 30,000 Naira, and allegedly ran him over with his car when he asked for his money.
It was gathered that when Ephraim met Essein for his money, he asked him to wait for him to get it. He then allegedly entered an unregistered Lexus and drove it with speed against the victim, knocking him down.
According to eyewitnesses who took to social media to call out the suspect, the victim was immediately rushed to Life Care hospital and the suspect was said to have sped off to the nearest police patrol team and complained that he was attacked by kidnappers.
It was also alleged that police officers followed Essein back to Gibbs street where he had knocked down his friend and fired several gun shots which scared the gathering crowd.
The suspect is now reportedly at large following the death of his friend.
Senegalese footballer and Liverpool forward, Sadio Mane snubbed a handshake from his manager Jurgen Klopp after Liverpool’s 4-2 win over Manchester United on Thursday night, May 13.
Mane was a second-half substitute as the Reds picked up a huge win to move to the 5th position in the league as they aim to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

During the post-match interview, the Liverpool boss played down the incident and admitted that he failed to explain his selection to the Senegal striker.
He told Sky Sports,

Two fake operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) got busted as they attempted to extort a Lagos resident with an armed policeman.
A Twitter user identified as Samuel Otigba who uploaded a video from the scene, revealed that one of the fake operatives tried to escape by jumping from a 4 storey building but fell into the electric fence. They were later handed over to the real EFCC operatives, while the mobile police officer with a rifle escaped.
He tweeted,
Omoooo today is wild. We caught 2 men that came into our estate claiming to be EFCC officials, with fake EFCC ids & accompanied with Mopol, trying to extort money from a resident. One of the fake officers tried escaping by jumping from a 4 storey but fell into the electric fence.
The mobile police officer with a rifle escaped. They have been handed over to the real @officialEFCC operatives for proper investigation.
The EFCC confirmed the arrest of the suspects and the mobile policeman who initially escaped. The anti-graft agency revealed that the suspects were apprehended at New Horizon Estate in Lekki, while on an illegal operation of “serving” a court order purported to have emanated from the Mushin Magistrate Court on an unsuspecting victim.”
The fake EFCC operatives have been identified as Pascal Ugwu Chijoke and Sodiq Ibrahim Adekunle, while the police inspector has been identified as Edwin Bassey.

A gang of three fake operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission who embarked on an illegal operation purportedly to execute a fake Court Order have been arrested in Lagos.
Ghali Ahmed, Head of the EFCC Zonal Office in Lagos disclosed this today, May 13, 2021 at a press briefing in the Commission’s office, Ikoyi, Lagos.
According to him, “The fraudsters were arrested at New Horizon Estate, Lekki, Lagos, in the middle of their illegal operation to ‘serve’ a Court Order purported to have emanated from the Mushin Magistrate Court, on an unsuspecting victim.”
The three-man gang of Pascal Ugwu Chijoke, Sodiq Ibrahim Adekunle and Edwin Bassey, a Police Inspector, posing as EFCC operatives allegedly stormed the residence of their target with all the paraphernalia of typical EFCC raid, wearing fake EFCC branded jackets and identity cards.
Ahmed warned Nigerians to be wary of impostors, using the good name of the Commission to extort unsuspecting targets. He urged citizens to be vigilant and report suspicious activities to the Commission.
He assured that the Commission is determined to stamp out the activities of impostors. “We will always be ahead of these fraudsters. If they fail to desist, they will face the music,” he said.

Commissioner for Police in Akwa Ibom state, Andrew Amiengheme, has dismissed reports that says Mr. Uduak Ezekiel Akpan, the suspected killer of job seeker, Miss Iniubong Umoren, committed suicide in its police custody.
Reports made the rounds online recently that 20-year Akpan, who allegedly lured Miss Umoren with a job offer and subsequently raped and killed her, had committed suicide.
According to the reports, Akpan committed suicide with his trousers tied to metal after having his meal. Dismissing the report, the state police boss in an interview with The Nation, said
”It is not true that Uduak Akpan has committed suicide. The suspect is in our custody. Maybe he committed suicide in the bedrooms of those peddling the rumour.”
Iniubong Umoren aka Hiny Humoren, was a young lady who went job hunting and was later declared missing before she was found dead, and buried in a shallow grave by her abductors.
The deceased on Thursday, April 29, 2021, had gone for a “job interview” at an undisclosed location on Airport Road in the outskirts of Uyo.
About two hours later, she reportedly made a frantic phone call to her friend, Uduak Umoh, where she was heard screaming before the call was abruptly ended.
This immediately prompted Uduak to raise an alarm on social media with the hashtag #FindHinyUmoren.
In a tragic update, Uduak Umoh revealed that her friend was raped before being killed and buried in a shallow grave by her abductor.
Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Erica Nlewedim blew off an ardent admirer who had been seeking her attention on various social media platforms for a long time.

The Weija Circuit Court in Greater Accra Region, Ghana has sentenced a man, Papa Nii who bathed his wife with acid, to ten years imprisonment.
The victim, Ofeibea Florence Aryee, moved to her father’s house after she was kicked out by her husband, Papa Nii who later went to meet his father-in-law in guise of asking for forgiveness but sneaked into the bathroom where his estranged wife was bathing and poured acid on her.
Executive Director of Crime Check Foundation, Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng, who confirmed the development, revealed that Papa Nii was sentenced on Monday, May 10.
“The law bites and those who perpetrate atrocities like this should be dealt with accordingly. No matter how somebody might wrong you, there is no cause to attack the person with acid.” he said.
Sharing an account of how she was attacked, the woman said Nii drove her away to her parents but later came back to her family house pretending he wanted to apologize to her to come back to live with him.
She revealed that her husband had a concealed acidic substance on him and when she was going to take her bath he followed her and poured it on her. On her sick bed, she vowed not to continue the marriage.
“My husband told me he does not want to stay with me again so he threw my things out. I went to have my bath and he followed up with the acidic substance and poured it on me.” She told crimecheckghana.

A 200-level female student in the Department of Political Science at the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba, Feranmi Fasunle Omowumi, has taken her own life.
According to The Nation, the young lady reportedly drank poisonous substances believed to be sniper.
VanguardNews also reports that she took the deadly substance in her room in the Akungba community. Sources in the institution said that when her friends discovered it, they rushed her to the institution’s health centre from where she was again taken to the Specialist Hospital in lkare. She was thereafter referred to the Federal Medical Center FMC in Owo on Wednesday where she died.
She did not leave any suicide note to indicate the reason for her actions

Nigerian music producer, ID Cabasa has debunked viral reports claiming that popular Nigerian singer, Sound Sultan is battling throat cancer.
Reports that served rounds on social media yesterday, May 12th alleged that the ace singer, Olanrewaju Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan is currently battling with throat cancer in the United States of America.
According to SaharaReporters, the singer has commenced chemotherapy in one of the hospitals in the country.
While fans took to social media to share goodwill messages and prayers, in reaction to one of the posts, music producer, ID Cabasa debunked the report, emphasizing that the news is untrue.
