The National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has told those clamouring for the division of Nigeria to jettison the idea as the country is better together.
The former Lagos State Governor stated at the Special Ramadan Prayer, “Tafsir” Lecture, held at the Lagos House, Marina, on Sunday.
According to him, another civil war could have serious consequences and lead Nigeria to becoming another Iraq or Sudan. He further said the country is yet to recover from the last civil war, adding we can not afford to experience another war.
He said;
“For clamouring for war, God will not allow Nigeria to experience it. If we say Nigeria should separate, people should remember what war caused in Sudan and Iraq. Such war does not end in time. We are yet to recover from the civil war.
“We are better together. I have nowhere I am going. Whoever has experienced war in the past will not pray for such. Nigeria will not separate; it’s not acceptable to us. Our prayer is for prosperity and more wealth for the country.”

The alleged lawyer to embattled Nollywood actor, Olarenwaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, Akin Olafeso has shared that Nigerian comedian, Princess set up his client following an alleged illicit affair between the duo.
In a post that was shared on Facebook, Akin Olafeso revealed that Baba Ijesha had an affair with Princess in the past — however, his client gained access to her family through this means and molested the 14-year-old adopted daughter.
Olafeso also revealed that although when he molested the little girl, Princess had no idea about it, but as soon as she got the wind that her daughter was molested by the actor, she went into action to set him up in a bid to teach Baba Ijesha a lesson.
However, the lawyer has promised to meet the Princess in court. The alleged lawyer wrote,

A Malaysia-based Nigerian man, Prince Ugo Sam, is giving thanks to God for his life after he narrowly escaped death in a ghastly auto crash.
Taking to his page Facebook on Sunday, May 2, he shared photos from the crash scene and of himself on a hospital bed.
“Glory be to God. I am alive” he wrote.

Some days back, it was reported of nine wedding guests who died in a ghastly road accident in Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State.
It was gathered that the victims were on their way from the wedding of a close friend in Benin City when the accident which took their lives happened.
According to viral reports, there were 10 passengers in the commercial bus and only one person survived while the other nine died.
It was said that a truck collided with their bus at Ekpon Junction in Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State.
The Edo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Henry Benamaisia, who confirmed the unfortunate incident said five persons died instantly while three others in critical condition were rushed to the hospital.

A Nigerian lady has given the quite sad narrative of how she was allegedly defiled by her father’s superior in the barracks when she was celebrating her 11th birthday in 1998.
In a post shared on her Twitter page, the lady with the handle, @LADEmie, revealed that at the time, she was hawking Kunu, a locally made nutritious drink, to help raise money for her family’s upkeep when the superior allegedly lured her into his office and defiled her in 1998.
“I was raped my by father’s superior In the military at my 11th birthday. He threatened to sack my dad if I told anyone. He could have killed me. I was 11, while I was hawking kunu to feed my family. He promised to buy my goods and I entered his office. We were in the barracks.
If I didn’t sell Kunu, we wouldn’t eat. My dad’s salary was nothing. It’s been 23 years, but it still fills like yesterday”
Lade who is now 34, said she doesn’t have photos of her abuser but remembers his first name, Owolabi.
In new reports, there’s concerns that Nigeria’s elephant population is fast depleting after local hunters shot dead a 4th elephant in Ogun State.
It was reported that the elephant was killed near Omo forest in Ogun State. According to the Elephant Protection Initiative, this is the 4th elephant illegally killed in two years.

An undergraduate of Imo State University (IMSU), who was declared missing, has been discovered dead after five days.
Kingsley Chiwueze, a 300-level law student, was on Monday, April 26 declared missing after he could not be reached on the phone and his whereabouts remained unknown.
Chuwueze who is a native of Oguta Local Government Area of the state, was involved in student union politics and declared his intention to run for the office of Senate President of the National Association of Imo State Students two weeks ago.
The President of the Students Union Government of IMSU, Arinze Oguike, who confirmed the development on Sunday, May 2, revealed that the corpse of the law undergraduate was found in the morgue of Umuguma General Hospital, Owerri.
He said some students stormed the mortuary and the attendant told them the corpse was allegedly deposited by the management of a private hospital, in Owerri.
The student leader said,
“The attendant told us that his corpse was brought by people from a private hospital on Whetheral Road. We will go to the hospital to find out how they took custody of the student’s corpse.”

Big Brother Naija ‘lockdown’ star, Nengi, has reacted to the sad story of Iniobong Umoren, the Philosophy graduate of the University of Uyo, who left her home for a supposedly job interview in the outskirt of Uyo.
She was reportedly raped and killed by a man who said he had a job opportunity for her.
Reacting to this, Nengi released the curse of God on her killers, she wrote on her Instagram story ;

Comedienne, Princess has revealed that she did not authorize the public release of the CCTV footage which showed veteran actor, Baba Ijesha molesting her foster daughter.
Recall that, Punch recently released the footage which captured the moment Baba Ijesha molested the minor.
However, the comedienne who has now released a disclaimer through her lawyers, claimed that she did not authorize the release of the CCTV footage.
The disclaimer reads,
“Our client disclaims any liability or responsibility whatsoever that arises from the publication of the video on the internet or any other social media platform showing OLSRENWAJU JAMES OMIYINKA (AKA. BABA IJESHA) molesting our client’s foster daughter.
“Our client expressively disclaim any liability whatsoever for any loss however, arising from the content of the CCTV footage released to the general public”.
Meanwhile, since the release of the footage, there has been uproar across social media.
Popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson has waded in on the ongoing rape scandal involving Baba Ijesha and the minor he allegedly molested.
Recall that the CCTV footage surfaced online, and Nigerians watched with disdain, the way Baba Ijesha molested the minor.
Reacting to this, Mercy Johnson is of the opinion that anyone who still tries to defend Baba Ijesha at this point needs to be arrested.

A video making the rounds on social media shows the moment a pastor was laid curses on members who did not donate towards her birthday celebration.
The pastor stood on the pulpit as she addressed members and pointed out that some members refused to contribute towards her birthday and lambasted them for it.
She pointed out that when members come to her with their needs, she gives, yet they won’t do same for her.

Iniobong Umoren, a Philosophy graduate of the University of Uyo, left her home for a job interview, so she thought —but was raped and killed by the man who invited her for the job interview.
The sad development was confirmed, Sunday afternoon, by the Police in Akwa Ibom State.
The police spokesperson in the state, Odiko MacDon, identified the suspect as 20-year-old Uduak Frank Akpan.
The suspect, said to be a serial rapist, killed the missing woman and buried her in a shallow grave in his father’s house, after raping her.
“The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested one Uduak Frank Akpan, 20 years old for kidnapping, raping and murdering one Miss Iniobong Umoren.
“On 30/04/2021, the Command received a report on the disappearance of the victim.
“Following available leads, men of the Anti-Kidnapping Squad of the Command, led by CSP Inengiye Igose, consolidated on the initial great progress made by the DPO Uruan, SP Samuel Ezeugo and arrested the perpetrator who confessed to have lured his victim to his house in the guise of giving her a job, but ended up sexually and physically assaulting her which led to her death. To cover his tracks, he dragged and buried her in a shallow grave in his father’s compound.
“The deceased has been exhumed and deposited at UUTH for autopsy.
“The suspect confessed to have told his local government chairman of his atrocity before escaping to Calabar and was never at any time handed over to the Police by anyone.
“Suspect is a confessed serial rapist who has owned up to the raping of other victims. He will be charged to court at the conclusion of investigation.
Ms Umoren was last seen on April 29 before she went to honour the appointment for a ‘job interview’
She was screaming for help on the phone, said one of her friends who established contact with her on the day she went missing.
“She sent me a 1sec audio record on WhatsApp and I had to call her back to know if she wanted to say something to me but immediately I called her I heard her screaming,” the friend, Uduak Umoh, tweeted.
Concerned Nigerians did an amazing job, deploying internet tools to see how they could track the missing woman’s location or uncover the identity and the location of the person she went out to meet.
#FindHinyUmoren trended on Twitter for two days, after Ms Umoren went missing.
The Commissioner of Police in Akwa Ibom State, Amienghene Andrew, commended “the social media family” for their “effort” in the case.
Iniobong Umoren has been confirmed dead.
She was raped, murdered and buried in a shallow grave by her abductor identified as Uduak Akpan.
Below is the last conversation she had with her friend, Uduak Umoh while she was ‘heading’ for the supposed interview she was invited for by her assailant.
“It was immediately I got this 1sec voice note from her that I called her and she has not been taking my calls.” Her friend, Uduak had tweeted.
#FindHinyNumoren started trending after her @UmohUduak1 called for help online, saying she was unable to reach Ms Umoren after a job interview along the airport road in Akwa Ibom.
She added that she had received a one second voice recording on WhatsApp, and when she last heard her on the phone, Ms Umoren was screaming.
The police announced that they had arrested two suspects believed to have played a role in the disappearance of Ms Umoren in Akwa Ibom.
Ms Umoren had announced on Twitter on April 27 that she was in need of a job.

Actor, Yomi Fabiyi has reacted to the CCTV footage of Baba Ijesha abusing a minor.
Fabiyi tagged the footage as disturbing and also condemned the act of using the minor as bait for Baba Ijesha who is said to have molested the girl seven years ago.
According to him, “If the girl was your child, can you make her go through such trauma again in the name of gathering evidence?”
Yomi Fabiyi said this in a statement titled, ‘It Is Criminal To Molest A Minor Or Use A Minor As A Trap To Gather Evidence.’
The statement read, “It is disturbing and unfortunate viewing the images of the released CCTV footage of a minor been sexually abused by a senior colleague, Mr Lanre Omiyinka a.k.a Baba Ijesha. There is no excuse for this act. I condemn this act, it is embarrassing and disappointing.
“I have carefully waited for reliable options before jumping to a conclusion as done in a civilised society, a stance a handful misconstrued as supporting the suspect, it is a shame a handful in Nigeria still engage in social media recklessness in the name of social media age. NOWHERE HAVE I SUPPORTED OR CONDONE SUCH, someone just placed the idea and many without caution jumped on it. If you are not enlightened, SEEK KNOWLEDGE.

I am sad, we have failed many innocent children and it is time we rise to this challenge, THE WORLD IS WATCHING. Every Nigerian who honestly feel for the poor girl should take to the street in a peaceful protest, demand arrest of all connected to these ugly images, it is a cause worth risking everything for, do it for humanity and every innocent child.

Nigerians have demanded for the head of Baba Ijesha, after the CCTV footage where he was seen ‘molesting’ the 14-year-old girl was released.
Recall Ijesha was arrested on the 22nd of April 2021, over allegations that he molested a 14-year-old girl.
The video which was kept private for days has, however, been released by the family of the victim and Nigerians have reacted to this.

@bustiberry: I really don’t understand we Nigerians, I always say this and I will keep saying it ,we are our own problems, it’s always advisable for people to listen, digest and understand and this is applies to reading too.. princess said the child recently talked about what happened to her 7 years ago and knowing fully well that Baba ijesha is a public figure and without an evidence there won’t be a case, we all know the Nigeria we live in immediately the girl child spoke to her foster mother about what happened 7 years, they decided to plant a camera in the house and invite the accused, personally I won’t call it a set up because they just wanted to be sure and have concrete evidence , lo and behold the accuse didn’t disappoint not even up to 2 seconds, he started the rubbish and he even had a hard on, no dignity, no self discipline how do people get attracted to a minor for Christsake and some people are still justifying him even after watching this footage, it’s really sad this is why so many victims of assault, molestation ,abuse and rape find it difficult to come out to speak up, to anyone that is going through such at the moment, I advice you speak up and look for help in the right places and to anyone that has ever experience this before, I pray God comforts you and heal you completely .and to everyone that doesn’t see anything wrong in this act,May God visit you specifically in Jesus Might Name.

Popular Nigerian Singer, Chidinma Ekile has quit secular music and returned back to her roots, gospel!
The singer made the announcement on her Instagram page, while celebrating her 30th birthday. “MY NAME IS MINISTER CHIDINMA EKILE. I’M A CRUSADER OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS. I’M A CRUSADER OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST.”
In 2010, Chidinma rose to prominence after she won the Project Fame West Africa as a 19-year-old. Afterward, she released her debut single, ‘Jankoliko’ featuring veteran star, Sound Sultan.
She then signed to iLLBliss and Clarence Peters’ record label, Capital Hill/Goretti Company and became a West African sensation with the single, ‘Kedike.’ She also released other singles like ‘Emi Ni Baller,’ which won Best Video at the 2014 Headies.
At the 2012 edition of the KORA Awards, Chidinma won Best Female West African Act. She was also nominated for Best Female Act at the 2014 MTV Africa Music Awards.
Currently, Chidinma is signed to Eezee Concepts – home to Gospel superstar, Mercy Chinwo – where she has released her single, ‘Jehova Overdo.’
