Bill and Melinda Gates are ending their marriage after 27 years
Bill and Melinda Gates marriage appears to have hit the rocks after 27 years.
This has been confirmed from Bill Gates’ social media account, and signed by the couple.
According to the statement, the decision came after a “great deal of thought and work.” But the couple no longer believes they can grow together as a couple in this “next phase” of their lives.
The statement reads ;
After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage. Over the last 27 years, we have raised three incredible children and built a foundation that works all over the world to enable all people to lead healthy, productive lives. Tragic: Hit-and-run driver kills man and his pregnant wife four months after their wedding in Delta
In a quite tragic version of events, a newly married couple identified as Kingsley and Ajoke Akpor, were reportedly killed by a hit-and-run driver in Warri, Delta State.
According to the reports, the tragic accident occurred on Sunday night, May 2, along NPA Expressway. While details on the accident are still sketchy, it was gathered that the couple were crossing the highway after attending a birthday party held at PTI Conference Centre, when the speeding driver rammed into them.
The unidentified driver fled the scene after hitting them.
Late Kingsley is said to be a photographer and has a photography studio in Agbarho, Ughelli North LGA of the state — the couple got married on December 21, 2021.
Ajoke was heavilly pregnant with their first child and billed to deliver this week. Their remains have been deposited at Ekpan General hospital Mortuary.
Meanwhile, friends have taken to Facebook to mourn he couple. Efe Akpoviri, wrote:

Actor, Joseph Faduri has joined the league of people who have taken a swipe at actress, Iyabo Ojo over her stance and actions towards the controversy surrounding embattled actor, Baba Ijesha who defiled a minor.
Faduri, in a video shared on his Instagram page, accused the actress of playing God by going after anyone that has a different opinion from hers in Baba Ijesha’s rape saga.
According to him, what Baba Ijesha committed is sexual molestation and not rape and as such, his crime is bailable — he went on to allege that Iyabo Ojo was raped 5 times but refused to give up the identities of those behind the act even though they are a danger to the society. He then questioned why Baba Ijesha’s case is different.
Faduri who claimed that he is not in support of Baba Ijesha, asked Iyabo Ojo to allow the law take its course. He concluded by saying that the arrested actor deserves a second chance.

“He can never change” – Another man accuses Baba Ijesha of molesting an 8-year old girl in Oshodi (Details)
Another Nigerian man has accused embattled actor, Baba Ijesha of defiling an eight-year-old girl while he was residing in Oshodi, Lagos state.
The netizen, identified as @Heryinksbaby on Instagram, alleged that the actor who’s currently being held in police custody for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old girl, was caught for a similar crime while he was in Oshodi.
Taking to actress, Iyabo Ojo’s page, the man called on justice to be served and urged the actress to ensure that justice is served in the ongoing case.
According to him, Baba Ijesha can never change as he was caught sleeping with an 8 years old girl while still staying at Mafoluku in Oshodi.

A Ugandan man has taken to Twitter to share an hilarious childhood memory of how his mother made him a little bride at a wedding.
Mark who is now a successful event host in Ugandan, shared a throwback photo that showed him serving as a little bride at the wedding.
He explained that his mother was the wedding planner and the little bride became sick on the wedding day, out of options, he said his mum made him wear a white dress and veil and used him as the replacement.
His tweet reads,
“This Day in History: The Flowergirl fell sick on the wedding day, and my mum being the wedding planner, she thought of who could replace the flower girl. I was her only option”.

Man flogged in public for beating up his mother in Anambra (Video)
A video making the rounds on social media captured the moment members of Ogidi community in Anambra state flogged a young man for assaulting his mum.
According to reports gathered, the young man identified as Sunday Maduegbunam Kosisochukwu was seen in an earlier video beating up his mother and shoving her around.
Sunday’s act was deemed abominable by the youths in the community and he was confronted to confirm he is the one in the video.
The young man was then tied to a tree and whipped publicly.

NDLEA raids eateries in Plateau and Enugu, recovers drugged cakes
Officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency raided some eateries in Jos, the Plateau state capital where freshly baked cakes made with cannabis sativa were recovered in addition to 48.726kilogrammes of assorted psychotropic substances.
Director, Media & Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, who revealed this in a statement on Monday, May 3, revealed that some of the drug joints raided include KNL Lounge located along Lamingo road and another branch along Mining Quarters, Rantya Low Cost estate, as well as Tuscany Lounge on Azaki Ave, all within Jos metropolis.
Beside the drugged cakes called brownie recovered from the three eateries, psychotropic substances also seized from there include: Barcadin Codeine 14kg; Flunitrazapem 355.5grammes; Tramadol 370.1 grammes; Exol-5, 30kg; Diazepam 2.5kg and Pentazocine 1.5 kg, totalling 48.726kg. The Plateau Commander, Ibrahim Braji disclosed that five persons have so far been arrested in connection to the seized drugs.
Meanwhile, operatives of the Niger state Command of the Agency have arrested a 24-year-old 400-level student of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Abel Godwin Idio for selling two strong variants of cannabis, Arizona and loud, concealed in textbooks. He was arrested in Gidan Kwano within the vicinity of the university.
According to the state Commander of the Agency, Haruna Kwetishe,
“Abel uses the inner pages of his textbooks to conceal the drugs within the campus to sell.” While stating that Abel was arrested on Friday 30th April, 2021, he said two other traffickers; Yahaya Joshua and Yahaya Audu, were arrested the previous day along Mokwa-Jebba road with 32kilogrammes of cannabis sativa.
Chairman of NDLEA, Brig. General Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) in his reaction, commended the Plateau and Niger Commands of the Agency for disrupting the activities of drug cartels in their respective states.
He charged them to remain relentless in pursuit of the Agency’s mandate to rid Nigeria of illicit drugs.

“My client had an illicit affair with princess, we are ready to meet her in court” – Baba Ijesha’s alleged lawyer
The alleged lawyer to embattled Nollywood actor, Olarenwaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, Akin Olafeso has shared that Nigerian comedian, Princess set up his client following an alleged illicit affair between the duo.
In a post that was shared on Facebook, Akin Olafeso revealed that Baba Ijesha had an affair with Princess in the past — however, his client gained access to her family through this means and molested the 14-year-old adopted daughter.
Olafeso also revealed that although when he molested the little girl, Princess had no idea about it, but as soon as she got the wind that her daughter was molested by the actor, she went into action to set him up in a bid to teach Baba Ijesha a lesson.

“I am alive” – Nigerian man says after narrowly escaping death in ghastly auto crash
A Malaysia-based Nigerian man, Prince Ugo Sam, is giving thanks to God for his life after he narrowly escaped death in a ghastly auto crash.
Taking to his page Facebook on Sunday, May 2, he shared photos from the crash scene and of himself on a hospital bed.

Some days back, it was reported of nine wedding guests who died in a ghastly road accident in Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State.
It was gathered that the victims were on their way from the wedding of a close friend in Benin City when the accident which took their lives happened.
According to viral reports, there were 10 passengers in the commercial bus and only one person survived while the other nine died.
It was said that a truck collided with their bus at Ekpon Junction in Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State.
The Edo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Henry Benamaisia, who confirmed the unfortunate incident said five persons died instantly while three others in critical condition were rushed to the hospital.

“All the women I dated knew about my broken marriage” – Don Jazzy reveals (Video)
Nigerian music executive and producer, Michael Collins Ajereh, AKA Don Jazzy, has shared that all the women he’s ever dated knew about his first and only marriage, which only lasted for two years.
Jazzy had fans and colleagues taken aback some weeks back when he opened up about getting married to Michelle Jackson when he was only 20 years old.
But the marriage was cut short after two years as he got divorced due to him chasing his musical ambition and becoming one of the most highly respected Nigerian music mogul in the country.
However, in a recent interview, the Mavin records boss shared said that all the ladies he has dated ever since his marriage ended knew about the union.
According to him, his ex-girlfriends just decided not to let the cat out of the bag.

Nigerian lady claims she was defiled by her father’s superior inside the barracks on her 11th birthday
A Nigerian lady has given the quite sad narrative of how she was allegedly defiled by her father’s superior in the barracks when she was celebrating her 11th birthday in 1998.
In a post shared on her Twitter page, the lady with the handle, @LADEmie, revealed that at the time, she was hawking Kunu, a locally made nutritious drink, to help raise money for her family’s upkeep when the superior allegedly lured her into his office and defiled her in 1998.
“I was raped my by father’s superior In the military at my 11th birthday. He threatened to sack my dad if I told anyone. He could have killed me. I was 11, while I was hawking kunu to feed my family. He promised to buy my goods and I entered his office. We were in the barracks.
If I didn’t sell Kunu, we wouldn’t eat. My dad’s salary was nothing. It’s been 23 years, but it still fills like yesterday”
Lade who is now 34, said she doesn’t have photos of her abuser but remembers his first name, Owolabi.
Concern for Nigeria’s elephant population as local hunters kill 4th elephant in 2 years in Ogun state
In new reports, there’s concerns that Nigeria’s elephant population is fast depleting after local hunters shot dead a 4th elephant in Ogun State.
It was reported that the elephant was killed near Omo forest in Ogun State. According to the Elephant Protection Initiative, this is the 4th elephant illegally killed in two years.
Sharing photos of the recently killed wild animal, they wrote on their page,
