Nollywood actress, Opeyemi Aiyeola, has taken to social media to recount how she narrowly escaped death, following self medication.
According to the actress, who urged her fans to endeavor to always read medication leaflets, she was guilty of self-medication and it almost caused her her life.
In a video she shared on her Instagram page, the actress revealed she was at a movie set in Lagos when she suddenly developed some symptoms and assumed she could be suffering from malaria.
She put a call to a doctor, who prescribed a medication for her, she took the drugs without reading the mini leaflet in the tablet, to be aware of the side effects.
According to her, after taking the first dose of the medication, she reacted to the drugs but still drove to a movie set from her house in Ogun State to Lagos.
At the movie set she passed out several times, before she was eventually rushed to the hospital. On getting to the hospital Opeyemi was diagnosed with another ailment and not malaria which she assumed she had and was taking medications for.

Three young men have been arrested over alleged homosexual act in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue state.
The youths were caught in the act by residents of Zone HB community on Monday, May 3, and handed them over to the president of an NGO, Comrade Chris Ogah, who eventually turned them in to the police for prosecution.

A 10-year-old Nigerian Refugee in the US identified as Tani Adewumi, has officially become a national chess master.
Tani, whose family fled Nigeria over Boko Haram crisis, came into limelight in 2019 after winning the 2019 New York chess championship while living in a homeless center on religious asylum.
Tani’s found consistent success and it was announced earlier in the year that he will compete in the Chess Club of Fairfield County (CCFC).
The competition held on May 1 and Tani snagged the national title.
