Popular Nigerian singer and disc jokey, DJ Cuppy has reacted after a Twitter user said her song ‘saved’ his uncle’s life.
In a sarcastic comment and obvious diss at the Nigerian singer, the man identified as @chu_chu_ezekwem on Twitter said his uncle who was in coma for 6 months, got up to switch off the TV when Cuppy’s song was being played.
“My family is forever indebted to dj Cuppy for saving my uncle’s life. He was in coma for 6 months but when dj Cuppy’s song was played in the hospital ward. He got up and switched off the Tv”. He tweeted.
The young man’s comment went viral and garnered likes and retweets and this got Cuppy’s attention. In response the billionaire heiress tagged the Twitter user “a clout chaser”.
In her words, “Here is the clout you wanted, I hope it was worth it, enjoy bro!”.
Residents of Otuokpoti community in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State have been thrown into celebratory mood after a 55-year-old woman gave birth to triplets.
The first-time mother, identified as Mrs Tegbe Awusaziba, delivered the babies through caesarean section after several years of marriage without the fruit of the womb. Fortunately, both the mother and her babies are said to be perfectly fine.
Following the news of Mrs. Awusaziba’s safe delivery, members of the community went agog and trooped out to celebrate.
Speaking to newsmen, Mrs Awusaziba expressed gratitude to God and said she didn’t believe that she was pregnant at the early stage of her pregnancy, due to her age.

Nollywood actress, Etinosa Idemudia recently took to Instagram to address Nigerian men who are quick to use the bible to demand submission from their wives.
She stated that when there is a slight misunderstanding, the average Nigerian man will quote the part of the scripture that favours his interest and ignore the other part that instructs him on how to treat his wife.
According to her, the same bible that instructs wives to submit to their husbands also instructs men to love their wives like Jesus loved the church and to be willing to give his life for her.

Nigeria has overtaken the Democratic Republic of Congo with the highest number of citizens that lack access to electricity.
World Bank Group officials who gave the announcement during a virtual engagement with power reporters in Abuja on the Power Sector Recovery Programme (PSRP), said Nigeria has 25 percent of people without access to electricity.
The international financial agency’s officials revealed that while electrification in the country has been growing at 1.1% yearly since 2010, it has not kept pace with the population growth of 3% yearly. This has increased the deficit by 3 million people to 85m which is 57% of the population.
The group said,
“Nigeria now has the largest number of unelectrified people globally and the trend is worsening; of the electrified, the supply is very unreliable with widespread blackouts.
“Nigeria now has 25% more unelectrified people than the 2nd most unelectrified country (DRC – in absolute terms).”
WBG Practice Manager, West and Central Africa Energy, Ashish Khanna who made the presentation added;
“The power sector is operationally inefficient with unreliable supply exacerbated by high losses and lack of payment discipline.
“Businesses in Nigeria lose about $29 billion annually because of unreliable electricity while Nigerian utilities get paid for only a half of electricity they receive.”
The group also said that its PSRP intervention is helping to change the narrative. It approved $1.25bn between June 2020 and February 2021 to reset the power sector. The bank also said to achieve universal access to electricity by 2030, Nigeria would need to connect over 1 million households yearly while devising means to ensure consumers pay for the electricity consumed.

A while back, the British Royal family reacted to the explosive interview given by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during their interview with Oprah Winfrey.
During the interview which aired on March 7, the couple made allegations of racism within the palace and a lack of support from the royal family over mental health issues and media intrusion.
On March 9, at about 5:30 p.m. London time, the palace issued a statement on behalf of Queen Elizabeth.

Mary Daniel Onu, the young amputee lady who went viral after photos showing her hawking water despite her condition was shared online, has totally transformed, and is unrecognizable in new photos.
The lady was said to have survived an accident in 2006 that killed everyone in the bus, including her parents. Mary, who dropped out of secondary school in JSS3, had to live from hand-to-mouth, and hawk sachet water on the streets of Lagos.

Human Rights Activist, Harrison Gwamnishu opens up on the last wish of late comedienne, Ada Jesus who passed on after her birthday.
It would be recalled that Ada Jesus died some days ago after battling for her life as a result of chronic kidney disease.
According to Harrison who is one of the caretakers of the content creator until her last breath revealed to BBC Pidgin during an interview that Ada had difficulties breathing and talking at some point.

Best graduating student of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), 2019 set, Folashade Salako has died following a ghastly car accident she was involved in.
Folashade who won the first Shalina’s international Young Pharmacist Award and the best graduating student of her set, died on Wednesday, April 21st, from injury inflicted on her head during the car accident.
The young promising lady was rushed to the University College Hospital (UCH), in Ibadan, Oyo State for a surgical operation. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead after series of effort to save her.
Folashade Salako won the 2019 Shalina Young Talent Award (SYTA) where she was crowned as Nigeria’s “best Pharmacy brain”.
The young lady beat 360 contestants from some of Nigeria’s top Universities to scoop first place in the competition.
A Twitter user, @gracii_funso who took to the platform to mourn her demise, blamed poor management of traffic road accidents for the death of the promising Nigerian.

Yoruba actor, Olarenwaju James, aka Baba Ijesha, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command.
The 48-year-old actor was arrested for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old girl over the course of 7 years.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed this in a statement titled, “Lagos police arrest, investigate popular Nollywood actor for defilement”.
he statement reads: “The Lagos State Police Command has arrested one Olarenwaju James ‘male’ 48, aka Baba Ijesha, popular Nollywood actor for defiling a minor.
“The case of defilement was reported on 19th April, 2021 by one Princess Adekola Adekanya ‘female’ at Sabo Police Station and transferred to the Gender Unit of the State CID, Panti, Yaba Lagos for proper investigation.
“Based on preliminary findings, the suspect started sexually assaulting the victim, 14 years, since she was seven years old.
“The suspect confessed to the crime and was also captured by a CCTV camera in the house of the complainant.
“The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered for proper investigation as he promised to do justice in the matter.”

A differently-abled Nigerian pharmacist, Blessing Mary Ocheido, has shared how she was denied an opportunity to study in a Nigerian university, because of her condition.
Recounting the struggles that comes with being physically challenged in Nigeria, Blessing, a disability rights advocate, accused Madonna University of rejecting her application in 2008 despite her stellar performance at the interview.
However, Blessing is now a United Nations Youth Steering Committee member on Beijing+25, an Enterprise for Peace Scholar and a 2021 One Young World Ambassador, and her successes have garnered numerous awards for her over the years.
Sharing her experience in a lengthy Facebook post, she wrote,
“In 2008, I applied to study pharmacy at Madonna University and I was turned down owing to my disability despite my stellar performance at the interview,” she wrote.
“They told my mum (whom I went with) that being mobility challenged, I will not be able to participate in their compulsory Saturday morning exercises so there was no place for me at the institution.
“I remember when we left and how my mum cried her eyes out and told me not to worry. That I was too good for them. Anyway, I eventually got my pharmacy degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
“Even then, there were people who did not want me to graduate as they simply didn’t see why I, as a person with disability, will dare to aspire to a prestigious course like pharmacy. Why not Home Economics or simply sit at home and be at the mercy of my family members’ kindness
“Why did I even dream of financial independence as a girl on a wheelchair? Omo, I don suffer for this Naija sha. But seriously though, why are most Nigerian institutions so discriminatory against persons with disability.”
A Nigerian man, identified as Akuma Felix Emeka, has been poisoned to death barely a week to his wedding ceremony in Owerri, Imo state.
The 34 year-old groom-to-be was allegedly poisoned by his ex-girlfriend, who also reportedly poisoned herself.
Although the details is a bit sketchy, it was gathered that the ex-girlfriend invited Felix for a drink on Saturday, April 3, 2021, unknown to him that she had other plans for them.
She allegedly poisoned the drink and they both died from the poison. According to reports, they were found dead in his car with what was left of the drink.
Felix, a graduate of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, was scheduled to tie the knot on Sunday, April 11. Unfortunately, what would have been a joyful celebration has been turned to mourning and he will buried on Friday, April 23rd, in Delta State.

Controversial Nigerian crossdresser, Okuneye Idris better known as Bobrisky, has revealed he is not participating in the ongoing Ramadan fast being observed by Muslims.
According to the Instagram celebrity, his monthly cycle flow prevented him from taking part in the fast, which started ten days ago.
Bobrisky made this revelation known via his official Instagram, while emphasizing that women who are on their monthly periods are permitted to skip the fast.

A man, identified as Chukwudi Collins Chukwudi, has been killed by a vigilante in Ebonyi state just eleven days to his white wedding.
It was gathered that the 29-year-old man had attended a wake-keeping in Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday, April 20, when the trigger-happy vigilante allegedly shot him dead.
The Enugu-born man had his traditional wedding on March 6, 2021, and the white wedding was slated to hold on May, 1 2021, in Enugu state before the unfortunate incident occurred.
A friend of deceased, Innocent Ezeogo, who also went for the wake keeping, said the vigilante approached them shortly after they arrived at the venue and insisted on firing a shot in their midst. However, they declined his offer and when they were about to leave the venue, he opened fire and shot Chukwudi.
“I am his friend, we attended a wake at Nediokpa Village in Okposi when a gun-wielding man, identified as Hosanna Aju, opened fire on him. The gun man approached us shortly after our arrival at the venue and insisted to fire a shot in our midst. We protested against the move and when we stood up to leave the venue, the gunman shot my friend dead,” Ezeogo said.
The deceased’s fiancée, Juliana, who is still in utter shock, has called on the police to ensure justice is served.
“I tried all my best to stop him from attending the wake but to no avail. We are to have our wedding on May 1, but look at me. I am devastated,” she said.
The State Police Command’s Spokesperson, DSP Loveth Oda, revealed that the suspect is not a vigilante in the said community and they can’t explain how he got the gun.
“He could not explain the source of a locally-made double barrel gun, which he allegedly used to commit the crime,” she said.
DSP Odah added that the plans have already been concluded to arraign the suspect. She also appealed to people to always report any person found in illegal possession of a firearm.
A video serving rounds online has capture the moment an unidentified young lady was nabbed while using her baby for examination malpractice.
In the viral video, the lady who was sitting for her final exams in an unnamed institution was caught cheating. She allegedly spied answers from papers she hid under her baby’s cloth.
The lady who vehemently denied being involved in such when questioned by the invigilator, was exposed when her baby’s cloth was lifted to show papers containing possible answers to questions she sellotaped to her baby’s body.
