“I would rather go for adoption than have kids of my own” – Nigerian plus-size model, Monalisa Stephen, says
Nigerian plus-sized model and fashion designer, Monalisa Stephen has revealed she would rather opt for adoption than have children of her own.
Monalisa in a recent interview with the Sun, said she took the decision never to bear her own children as a teenager and she’s is still standing by the decision.
In her words,
“Yes, I am still standing on my decision not to have my own kids. It was a decision I took when I was 16. I will rather go for adoption than have my own children. In fact, I may dedicate my life work to catering to kids around the world. I hope my future husband will understand and respect my decision.”
Recall that, the Nollywood actress was attacked on social media weeks back when she stated that she doesn’t want to marry neither have children of her own.
In a new interview with Vanguard, the actress has opened up on the reason why she is making that critical life decision.
“Most people think it’s abnormal not to have your own flesh and blood and they think I took this decision because of my past relationship/heartbreak. Even someone personally chatted me and said she hopes I will find time to heal from what I am going through, blah blah, but this is a decision I took when I was 15, even though I am in my 20s but I relate well with older people and they thought me a lot of good things which changed my approach to life decisions and situations,” she said.
