Reno Omokri Releases

In his words,

“Two dead bodies. That’s what we’ve seen from all the morgues, that’s what we’ve seen going to hospitals, that’s what we’ve seen as records.

What has happened is that there have been so many footages that people have shown but we have not seen dead bodies, we have not seen relatives.

We have not seen anybody coming up to say indeed I am a father or mother to someone and I cannot find the person. Nobody has come . I have been round and there is no splash of blood anywhere there.”

However, former presidential aide, Reno Omkri has now countered the governors claims, by sharing a video evidence of blood on the floor at Lekki Tollgate after the incident.

FG to reduce cost of data from N1000 to N390 per GB

Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communication Commission, Umar Danbatta, has stated that the Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy is planning on reducing the cost of data from N1,000 to N390 per gigabyte.

He stated this on Saturday while addressing journalists in Kano. He disclosed that part of the plan was the new national broadband plan for the year 2020-2025, which says Nigeria must provide broadband connectivity, cover virtually all parts of the country and deploy 4G infrastructure also across the country.

According to him, the ministry was tasked to come up with a digital economy policy and strategies, adding that all the efforts put in place are intended to bring the cost of data down to N390 as against the N1,000 that Mobile Network Operators, MNOs, are charging.

“Actually the cost has come down to N1,000/gigabyte of data, but the government is saying that we should be targeting N390 in the next. 3 to 5 years.

We need pervasive broadband data infrastructure because at the landing point in Lagos, where we have all the submarine cables.

We are indeed pursuing the plan. There is infrastructure and company licensing framework that could give the companies the ability to afford to sell the data to the retail agents, who will sell the data to the citizens,” he explained.

Ultimate Love’s Rosie cries bitterly as she confirms Kachi called off their wedding and broke up with her

Co-winner of the first edition of Ultimate Love TV show, Rosemary Afuwape, better known as Rosie has taken to social media to pour out her heart after learning of her lover, Kachi’s intention to leave her for another woman.

The winners’ relationship had been initially reported to have hit rock bottom following squabbles over issues personal to them. Rosie has now confirmed that Kachi told her of his desire to call off their much anticipated wedding.

The reality TV star claims she is ever ready for the breakup as it may be good for her mental health and also make way for the perfect man to come her way and give her and her son the perfect love and affection.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Rosie penned her position on the matter.

She wrote;

“He has changed and that is why took my stand based on such change. Besides he had started announcing to people wedding was off even before I approached Multichoice. All I did was to help him make it official.

“He has shown me the way he loves me and l am grateful but I won’t and no longer would like to be treated in such manner, let him go and treat whichever lady like that, more than how can someone you love do that to you? And that is just out of the many things I had to endure.

“I need a real man to love me genuinely, more than that is not just even about me but Jeremy. I cannot make my son go thru half of what i have gone thru, naaaaaaaa. In this lite I have been thru a lot to continue going thru what l went thru would mean I don’t love myself or my son to give him someone that would be a great model to him and not one that is flippant at every slight provocation, behaving like a woman and wants to show me he is a man in a wrong way.

“It is out of respect I decline and step out for another to step in and be with him and give him all that he wants and more but as for me, naaaaaa, Kachi is too good for me, I don’t deserve him, I pray he gets one that would dance to every of his tunes, love that, kachi has spoilt my name publicly, and demands.

“I won’t do that, I am a simple girl that only desires for a man to love me and not love in their definition but to be passionate about me, when you talk he says what about him, is always about him, him, naaaaaa and more than that, Iowe it to Jeremy to give him a great model that Would raise him in the fear of God.

“Mind you fear of God is not been born again or knowing the things of God, NO, fear of God is reverence for God…that because I fear and honour God there are certain things I cannot just do normally to a fellow man.”

Prospective tenant shocks many after sharing photos of a house up for rent in Lagos

A prospective tenant who is in search for an apartment in Lagos state took to Twitter to share photos of a house he was shown.

The accommodation is a room self-contained but is rather too small as one can barely move freely in it.

Asides being small, the room has a single small window that’s high up and doesn’t provide adequate lightening or ventilation.

“I had to stretch to reach the window,” the Twitter user wrote.

The kitchen and bathroom are narrow, that movement will be restricted.

“Lagos is testing my mental health tbh. When I’m not a prisoner,” the Twitter user captioned photos of the accommodation.

To make the whole situation even more absurd, it was revealed that the accommodation costs 250,000 Naira per annum and this is minus the other fees such as agent, agreement, and caution fees.

“I drive better when I drink”– Driver brags and drinks “beer” on Facebook Live moments before crashing his car; kills three people including his girlfriend (Photos/Video)

A man was captured on camera drinking and driving before he crashed his car, killing three fellow passengers, including his girlfriend.

The rather reckless situation was livestreamed on Facebook to 47-year-old Camilo Morejon’s profile as the man drove through Jersey Village in northwest Houston, Texas early on Sunday morning, October 25.

Before the crash, Mr. Morejon can be seen drinking from a bottle of what appears to be beer while bragging, ‘I drive better when I drink.’ His girlfriend is also seen drinking in the Facebook Live video

Shortly after the video ends, Morejon’s car, a silver Honda rammed into a pickup truck killing the three other occupants of his own car and leaving the pickup driver fighting for his life.

The Harris County District Attorney has charged Morejon with three counts of intoxication manslaughter and one count of intoxication assault.

Harris County prosecutor, Sean Teare said the Facebook live video showed him being behind the wheel and drinking beer.

‘It’s very rare that we see actions of the defendant that close in time to a horrific crash like that but it’s what happens, it’s what goes on moments before lives are lost,’ Teare said.

‘We’ve had four crashes in 24 hours that will contribute to seven deaths possibly, all of which are going to be charged,’ Teare said.

Investigators say they are also looking at a number of bars that may have sold alcohol to Morejon to see if they might have possibly played a role in the crash.

‘We believe there are probably three or four bars that are around the area we believe they were and we are in the process today of going to those locations determining which ones were contributing factors to this crash,’ Teare said.

The dead passengers have been identified as his girlfriend Leosveyka Gonzalez, Pedro Martinez and Massel Rodriguez.

Morejon is also currently in serious condition in the hospital along with the driver of the pickup, Ricardo Rodriguez-Tamayo. If convicted of the charges he faces, he could be jailed for up to 80 years according to Click2Houston.

According to the lady who shared the story on Twitter, the man lured the ladies via social media with his eloquence, intellectual talks, wealth and accomplishments.

She shared how the man, who she esteemed as her mentor, wanted to play the same game on her but blatantly failed because she has a boyfriend.

Read her full post below,

As a young girl glued to her screen while growing up. I listened to this young man a Nigerian who studied abroad. He spoke so eloquently, so passionate about wanting to develop and contribute to Nigeria.

I was so happy to be a Nigerian seeing him fly around the world to meet dignitaries like the Queen of England, The Pope, International business men and the likes. I would join his live on Instagram and listen to his shot messages and it gave my spirit a lift anytime I was giving up on my dreams.

I really liked him as mentor and he discovered I was always the first set to come online to contribute to his classes and I was added to a group chat of Intellectuals.

….

Right before now he notified us he wanted to contest for a particular position in the state and people rallied around him because they were ready to support him.

Na so the man begin show real colour. As election no favour am, they give him another position in the state and he needed ideas on how to move in his new office of appointment and he needed crazy deep thinkers to work with. He invited some of the intellectuals but with my kinda work I couldn’t attend.

I reached out to him to inform him I won’t be able to make it so he said I could come around when I was free to go through what they were able to develop and I could add a thing or two.

So I looked forward to my off day ….. I love to look good, smelling nice is a norms for me, na so I set out ooo. In a pair of jean and a roundneck top.

Note before that day I have never seen him physically , never met him but I see pictures.
I got an address & took an uber there. I arrived the said location & made my way to his office.
I met his office assistant and was asked I wait, someone was in there with him.

…. his office door opened. He smiled at me and walked his visitor out. He came back and I was called in.

We exchanged pleasantries and he handed me the laptop to go through the ideas. …. I was also editing the content because it was in raw format. When he went out and came back with tea. You can’t give e drink if I wasn’t there when you opened it or made it.

I declined I didn’t want. We had a very interesting Conversation, idea developed and properly written out and I was ready to leave, Lagos and traffic. I showed him and he smiled back saying nice job.

He asked when next I was free, he would love I go through some documents for presentation and I told him he could share via mail so I go though and if I feel anything should be added I will do an and inform him. He insisted I come around. I said I would notify him if I was gonna be free on my next off day.

…..

He asked where I stay I started to wonder why the plenty question so I said I stay with my uncle & his family which wasn’t true

He asked why I didn’t get my self a house. I told him I didn’t want to rush He stated telling me he will get a houe for me in Lekki, infact buy me a car, get a maid for me to help with cleaning. Take me on vacation to Dubia and any country of my choice.

You need to see me evaluating If the man was high on his tea Asked if I have passport or he will call his contact in immigration to start processing one. Asin I just open my waist purse remove my pin knife hold, set my pepper spray so one hand I go pepper him face if he comes close.

Asked if I have passport or he will call his contact in immigration to start processing one. Asin I just open my waist purse remove my spin knife hold, set my pepper spray so one hand I go pepper him face if he comes close.

I was irritated but I was calm. He kept blabbing about how he has toured nations of the world, who he knows bla bla bla. All that one was for me to fall for him. Ogbeni thought he was talking to some desperate chick who wants to gumbody to him to look successful. Little did he know.

Told me my kind of lady deserves an elderly man to shower her with love, attention, money & besides I’m very intelligent. He will hook me up with several people who will need my idea creation & I will make money.

I was now getting bored. I couldn’t hide my facial disgust anymore. That I was a beautiful black glowing lady. And that I should be happy someone of his class and status is showing interest in me??? werey was feeling himself I just took my phone looked at my man’s picture and said Zhaddy this one done fuckup.

Your baby girl is just for you and you alone. He asked what that meant & I told him to take a look at the picture. He did. I told him I have to leave because all he said isn’t related to idea
creation. I stood up to leave after collecting my phone. He stood us and wanted to touch me.
Telling me there is no point going home that day.

I spinned my knife sharply. That he has an executive room in one of the most beautiful hotels in Lagos. That we could spend the night there?‍♀️?‍♀️ Werey still get mouth. I told him to sit down.
He had no choice when he saw pepper spray, he said he has asthma. I told him then cooperate.

I was still wondering how alot of ladies would have falling victim of this man. I just left after being speechless. Nothing could drop from my mouth.

I waited for my uber to come pick me and I left for home. He started calling. Begging that he knows I was disappointed but I shouldn’t blame him. That I was a ine lady and that he is very careful of ladies he relates with. Omo I didn’t know when I shouted shutthefuckup. Even the uber driver self fear?? I ended the call.

While on my trip home I was really worried because poverty rate in Nigeria has made this people think they can use sweet words to tell advantage of young girls who look up to them immediately I looked at the group of Intellectuals.

Only to discover they were all female?? I sat up again and I became very very confused.
15 young ladies? Are you thinking what I’m thinking. I decided to become an active member of the group because I had an aim.

What was going on with this women? Is this situation only happening to me or have this girls gone through the same thing. I was very very scared but trust me I as willing to kno more. Sincerely most of them are very very intelligent, beautiful and ladies that can easily intimidate you with the kind of intelligence and choice of words.

The kind of ladies that will sweep you off your feet because of how sound they are. But most have been at one point in their lives been seriously hurt by men, they have been used, lied to and told they were too smart to be gfs or wives.

I became friends with them by telling them how beautiful they were, I discovered they fell for words and I knew something more was happening. They all went to dinners with this man as idea Assistant ?? I was curious to ask how the night turned out after the even but none
of them wanted to talk about it.

He was so smart that they were all friends and never thought they were all being used. He played them all smartly taking turns to which one suits his desires and they kept it hidden
He made everyone believe in themselves. They all felt very special, very very unique because he reassures them daily.

He tried removing me from the group but I was added back by the girls. He knew trouble was about to start. He took this girls on several trips outside the country & none of them had a clue of what was going on.

….

One day we had a disagreement in the group and some of them started calling themselves names.
it was evident some of them knew they were sharing the man. But they didn’t want to miss out of the goodies. I even got to know one was married. And she was still that close to him ?

He kept calling me regularly to beg I forgive him and when the fight in the group stated he needed someone to talk to. He claimed he needed help. Me I’m not interested in helping because that could be an opportunity to do his evil ways I told him to look elsewhere.

The group scattered when I showed them his chat. Calling them easy women ?‍♀️?‍♀️ They felt hurt and started leaving the group. He saw what I did and called me to vent. Werey didn’t know the girls were with me. They told him they’re coming for him .

If 16 ladies plan for you it takes the grace of God for you to escape it. Little did I know they were others before I joined the group. They reached out to others, some married, some single working class ladies, some children of his bosses in politics, one who lost her womb to abortion ?‍♀️
When I heard their stories I went speechless.

….

Na so party scatter. My girls are now free from a mentor who took advantage of them.
His home is on fire. The girls whose parents brought him into politics are out for him. They don’t want to be called out but they gave consent to me writing this.

Not everyone who speaks good English, writes well, talks eloquently and stands for something good is a mentor. Some mentorship should never get physical. It should be penpal standards
Arm your self with discipline so sugar coated mentors don’t lead you to destruction.

Don’t pick the fast way to success. It may be your greatest mistake.

“Returning stolen goods may not shield a looter from prosecution” – CP Bala Ciroma

The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, Bala Ciroma, has stated that returning looted items may not shield a looter from being prosecuted.

Bala Ciroma revealed this in an interview with NTA on Wednesday October 28th.

Recall that, Private and Public warehouses were looted by hoodlums on Monday and Tuesday in Abuja, and the FCT authorities have appealed for the looters to return the stolen items.

However Bala has stated that returning the looted Items does not shield the looter from being punished according to the law.

In his words,

“In a situation where people come to return goods, the fact remains did you commit an offence or not? We will get our legal experts to look at it and we will decide what to do with it.

We will conclude our investigations and the legal experts will look at it accordingly but the fact remains that a crime has been committed.”

He added that that the police had been able to arrest several persons who looted warehouses and some properties had been recovered.

‘Desist From Divisive Actions That Could Jeopardize Our Unity’ – President Buhari Tells Nigerians

The President has reminded Nigerians of the need to guard jealously the unity of the nation which was won at great cost.

President Muhammadu Buhari has requested Nigerians to refrain from words and actions that could threaten the progress and unity of the country.

The President made the appeal during the launching of the 2021 Armed Forces Remembrance Day (AFRD) Emblem and Appeal Fund in Abuja on Wednesday October 28.

At the ceremony, President Buhari said this year’s occasion reminds Nigerians of the need to guard jealously the unity of the nation which was won at great cost.

The President, who stressed that ‘‘Nigeria’s strength lies in her diversity’’, honoured the memory of the nation’s fallen heroes and veterans, recounting their sacrifices during the First and Second World Wars, the Nigerian Civil War and Peace Support Operations around the world.

He also paid tribute to men and women currently engaged in internal security operations, particularly the ongoing fight against insurgency, terrorism and armed banditry in some parts of the country, praising them for remaining steadfast in the difficult task of restoring peace and security despite the coronavirus pandemic.

”We honour the memory of our gallant officers and men who have paid the supreme sacrifice in order to keep the country united as one entity.

‘The nation remains grateful for the efforts and sacrifice of the Armed Forces especially in the fight against insurgency and other internal security challenges confronting Nigeria.

‘The Armed Forces Remembrance Day or Veterans Day as it is known in some parts of the world is an important event observed in commemoration of the end of the Second World War.

In Commonwealth member countries, the Remembrance Day is observed on 11th November yearly. However, for us the date was changed to 15th January annually to accommodate the commemoration of the end of the Nigerian Civil War’’ he said.

On security operations in the North West and North Central zones in the country, President Buhari expressed delight at the return of normalcy in some of the areas that previously witnessed security challenges.

”Our dear nation has witnessed numerous security challenges since independence.

”These security threats have undermined Nigeria in the areas of trade, investment and economy, education, health as well as agriculture and frequently denied Nigerians the freedom of movement.

”I am however pleased to state that a lot has been achieved in the Internal Security operations in the North West and North Central zones where in addition to Operations LAFIYA DOLE, HADARIN DAJI, HARBIN KUNAMA, WHIRL STROKE, other operations such as ACCORD, SAHEL SANITY and KATSINA were successfully launched.

”This has led to the return of normalcy in some of the affected areas. However, all hands must be on deck to check attacks on soft targets, ” he said.

The President, who restated that his administration will continue to forge useful alliances with neighbours and friends in the international community for the total defeat of the security threats affecting the sub-region, promised to ensure timely provision of adequate resources and necessary logistics support for the Armed Forces.

President Buhari further pledged that under his watch the Nigeria Armed Forces will operate with the best modern warfare equipment, with welfare issues receiving utmost attention.

”We are quite aware that it is our responsibility to provide a conducive environment that is devoid of security threats.

”I want to re-assure Nigerians that security being one of the pillars of this administration will continue to be at the forefront until peace and security are restored in the country,’’ he said.

The President also used the occasion to reassure Nigerians of his administration’s commitment to creating an environment in which all citizens and foreigners are guaranteed freedom and returns on investments.

He, therefore, urged business enterprises to render discounts and rebates to men and women in uniform as a symbol of appreciation for their sacrifices, saying ‘‘this kind gesture will make life easier for them and deepen their patriotism’’.

On support for families of members of the Armed Forces who died in active service, President Buhari acknowledged that the unfortunate cost of the fight against insurgency and other internal security challenges was the unavoidable loss of lives of some gallant compatriots.

‘The reality is that the spouses and defendants of these bread-winners in most cases experience trauma and deprivation. However, we can be of support to them to lighten their burdens especially in light of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

”I therefore call on all to spare a thought for them and take positive steps to come to their aid,” he said, commending charity organisations engaged in the noble cause of bringing succour to the families of fallen heroes and veterans.

Speaking as the Grand Patron of the Nigerian Legion, the President expressed delighted that the Nigerian legion has continued to be a rallying point of veterans, doing a lot in catering for the welfare of ailing members

”To ensure that our veterans continue to share the comradeship that existed while in Service and that their welfare is adequately catered for, the Federal Government established the Nigerian Legion as well as fully paid all pension arrears of veterans,” he said.

He urged State Governors, who are patrons of Legions in their respective States, as well as Nigerians, to continue to support and participate in the Legion’s initiatives in the areas of transportation, agriculture and housing development.

The President called on Nigerians and other residents in the country to procure and wear the emblems with pride in order to identify with those who laid down their lives for the peace and security of the county.

”I encourage all to donate generously in support of our veterans and dependents of our fallen heroes,” he said.

President Buhari announced a donation of N10 million to the Nigerian Legion.

The Minister stated that China has no google, Facebook and Instagram as everything is “well censored and well regulated. ” He warned that the next war that will be fought in the country and across the globe may be fought through social media. He also pointed out that #EndSARS protesters mobilized using social media.

In reaction to the call for social media regulation, Ruggedman questioned the minister’s assertion that social media would destroy Nigeria in the long run.

He said social media users only spread what is fed on the platform, he then advised the Federal government to feed social media with their positive works, if they won’t receive accolades from Netizens.

According to him, only individuals who do not want their failures exposed are afraid of social media.

He tweeted,

Who is us? Social media spreads what you feed it. Feed social media with positive works you have done and it will be spread it. You will in turn get respect and accolades. Only those who do not want their unproductive, failed selves exposed are afraid of social media. #DoYourWork
