A Nigerian man has received backlash over the video of his Edo parent’s shocking reaction after seeing a washing machine in the UK for the first time.

Sharing on the microblogging platform, X, a tweep identified as @ChuksEricE disclosed that the young man was doing his laundry when his parents entered the kitchen with an electrified look.

The young man recorded his parents smiling sheepishly at the washing machine as they observed the technological advancement. His father who was squatting, suddenly, fell on the floor to watch the machine spinning the clothes without manpower.

Apparently, his parents hailed from a small village in Edo state and hadn’t seen a washing machine prior to their visit to the UK. The young man exclaimed that his dad and mum had just disappointed him with their expression.

Speaking in their Edo dialect, the father mentioned that Western manufacturers no longer want the people to undergo manual labour.

The video has triggered several negative criticism from netizens with many condemning the young man for embarrassing his parent upon their new discovery.

Popular Nigerian thespian Adebowale Debo fondly referred to as Mr. Macaroni has shared via his page on X (Twitter) that people should normalize going to court to seek justice if they feel defamed.

He said this following the recent behaviour of some entertainers who called for the arrest of whoever defames them instead of going to court.

Mr. Macaroni went on to state that he was not saying this to defend cyberbullies or encourage online harassment but to ensure that things are done rightly by the books.

Popular Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi has vowed to arrest social media trolls, claiming she does not mind dying in the process of exercising her civil right.

Recall that the 41-year-old actress recently ordered the arrest of an X influencer identified as Big Ayo for bullying and defaming her online, at the same time she was slammed for supporting the current presidential administration.

The X influencer had expressed his annoyance over her choice of a presidential candidate by placing the actress under a curse. He alleged that Toyin Abraham had received bribes from the president to sponsor her husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi lifestyle.

Without further ado, Toyin Abraham hosted a live session on Instagram, expressing her frustration on how tweeps on X constantly bully and defame her, to the extent of cursing her kids and husband.

The actress explained that she never received funds from the presidential candidate and didn’t commit any criminal offense by voting for her preferred candidate.

Meanwhile, she persistently pleaded and communicated with her fans that she had never received money from the political party but all efforts were in vain

In her words, the social media bullies were paid to ruin her life and career using her political right as a front. She declared her fight against online bullies even if it would result in her death as she fears no one.

A viral video of Abuja residents queuing to board bikes “okada” in Lugbe, Abuja has sparked conversation online as Internet users compare the level of the passenger’s coordination to Lagos passengers.

A woman identified as @momoftriplets was amazed after observing how organized and coordinated the passengers were in the queue as they waited in turns to board any bike that entered the park.

In her words, it was quite unbelievable to see Nigerians queuing to enter bikes in Lugbe as she suggests coordination should be imposed across the country for decorum and orderliness in public spaces.

Quoting her video, a resident in the comment section mentioned that the bike men are answerable to passengers on the queue so anyone who refused to join the queue would be stranded at the bus stop for hours.

Abuja residents have trooped into the comment section, stating how transporters in Abuja take shifts on their working days. Many speculate that coordination is a strategy for increased prices without bargaining.

Sharing on TikTok, the mother who identifies as @omofolawe_1 claimed that toddlers make attempts to provoke their mothers but a parent should take immediate action rather than being ignorant.

In the viral clip, the mum was engrossed in recording a video of herself when she captured her son through the video, mounting the chest freezer in the kitchen with great determination.

Despite the height, the little boy mounted the chest freezer holding the lid’s handle as a support to reach the top.

Without holding back, his mum quickly removed her eyeglasses, expressing shock as she ran towards the little boy and carried him from the freezer top.

A 35-year-old railway worker Santosh Lohar, working in a forested region near the city of Nawada in Bihar India, killed a snake by biting it.

The laborer suffered a rude awakening after the snake bit him during his sleep but instead of seeking medical treatment first, he took a metal rod, pierced the snake, and bit it back twice, according to local media.

The Indian man explained that a local superstition propelled him to take action as it is thought that two bites back will return the poison to its maker.

He said, “In my village, there’s a belief that if a snake bites you, you must bite it back twice to neutralize the venom”. It is believed that biting the snake prevents him from dying.

The snake died, but Lohar survived as he was rushed to the hospital, where he received care overnight. He was said to be given antivenom, responded well to the treatment and was discharged the next day.

It is a well-known fact across the world that people can die of a snake bite and so the incident has sparked a debate amongst social media viewers as to whether the snake was really poisonous, as its identity has not been confirmed.

A Nigerian woman by the name of Blessing Okonkwo has been apprehended by the Nigerian Police for selling her three-year-old brother Friday Okonkwo for N410,000 in Adamawa State.

She had carried out the act after she lied to their mother that she had made plans to enroll him in a school, but it was all a lie.

Instead, she sold the young boy for the sum of N410,000 to one Efunaya Nabufe who trafficked him to Enugu State.

After she was apprehended, she confessed that it was the state of the country that drove her to that extent, then went on to explain what she did with the money.

She said; “I used the proceeds of the crime to buy a grinding machine so I can start a business and also gave my boyfriend N200,000 to buy items required for our tradition wedding.”

The mother of the victim who is shocked at her daughter’s action, has narrated her part of the story.

Recounting the incidence, she said;

“I used the proceed of the crime to buy a grinding machine so I can start a business and also gave my boyfriend N200,000 to buy items required for our tradition wedding Ever since she took away the boy I never heard from him, because any time I called to hear his voice she kept telling me one lie or the other for one year now. I got tired of asking and since I least suspected my own daughter could do this to me, I didn’t raise any alarm As God will have it, she took a proposed husband home to her father in the southeast, the father demanded to know the whereabouts of his child first before attending to her marriage proposal She then lied to him that the kid was dead, but the father consulted an oracle and was told the child was alive. He then threatened her and she opened up and told him the truth; that he was living with a woman in Enugu When her father informed me, I reported the matter to the police who swiftly arrested her and her accomplice, the child trafficker, one Efunaya Nabufe”

Nigerians have called for the arrest of a 62-year-old man in Anambra State who has been sexually assaulting his 3-year-old daughter and threatening her mother, his wife if she told anyone.

The man who is a notorious tout in Onitsha not only defiles his daughter but has been molesting her sexually for a long time.

A part of the tweet read;

“His name is MAGNUS ODIDIKA OKPALANNADI. He lives at No 13 Abba Street Omagba phase 2, in Onitsha, Anambra state. He is a dangerous thug, and a well-known motor park tout in Onitsha, who has been in and out of prison. This devil of a father has continuously subjected his little innocent daughter and wife to physical and psychological trauma for far too long without consequence. He didn’t only defile the innocent girl but has been sexually molesting her repeatedly since God knows When. A Nigerian man expressed utmost shock as he discovered a massive crowd of TikTok dancers at Circle Mall in Lekki upon his first visit.

Sharing on TikTok, the man identified as @clemziclement noted that it was his first time visiting the mall as he questioned the normality of the vicinity.

In the video shared, different troupes of dancers with their videographers were filmed performing and displaying trending dance moves in groups and solo.

Looking out across the mall, the man saw the different troupe of dancers occupying different sections of the car park area in the mall with the aim to creating social media content, mostly for TikTok.

Apparently, the man @clemziclement who is also a content creator had utilized the opportunity of the huge crowd to create viral content, revealing the surprising event in the mall.

The video has triggered differing opinions as netizens opined that content creation has become the new hustle for youths to make income on social media. Many viewers compared the number of dancers seen in the mall with other malls across the country.

While some conclude that the majority won’t even trend even with the time and energy invested to entertain their audience, others suggest that the mall enforce a restriction policy on the dancers.

He disclosed that this friend of his is set to divorce his wife who has stage 3 breast cancer with claims that he had grown apart from her.

The user who shared the dilemma online said that the man was divorcing his wife because he couldn’t handle her undergoing her cancer treatment and was just using claims of ‘growing apart’ to cover up.

The man who felt awful over his friend’s decision decided to stop being friends with him and promise to stand by his wife who has always been good to him.

A Nigerian man has shared via his TikTok page @bossfilmzy11 the reaction of his parent after he addressed them as lovebirds.

The couple sent multiple voice messages to him, asking him why he would refer to them as ‘birds’ and if he was crazy.

The young man had called them love birds after he came across the loved-up images and videos they had spammed him on WhatsApp.

However, his compliment wasn’t well received by his parents who thought he was indirectly insulting them by calling them birds.

His Dad could be heard saying; “Are you crazy? Who are you referring to as lovebirds? Are you calling your parents birds? You don’t have respect, I wanted to send you some money for food before but it’s cancelled now because you called us birds[sic]” and his mother asking if he called her a bird because she consumed rice a lot.

While they continued to query him, he tried to explain himself by sending them what the term ‘lovebirds’ means.

The video making rounds online revealed two male amputees physically attacking each other with crutches over an undisclosed incident.

The viral video captured the men struggling to overcome each other but hindered by their physical disability with no stamina to balance with one leg.

The two male amputees had lost one leg different from the other; one of them had no right leg and the other no left leg.

Despite their disability, the men were engrossed in their battle seeing as one of them instantly flung his crutch to challenge his opponent into a fistfight.

A Nigerian mother’s reaction to the AI-generated images her daughter sent her, has garnered hilarious comments from netizens.

The lady with the username shared @prettymimi057 the video on TikTok, in the video she had sent her mothers pictures of herself with a baby bump and the caption “Congratulations to me, It’s a boy”.

The lady who shared the video had employed the use of AI to create images of herself where she appeared pregnant and sent the images to her mother, who was unsurprisingly not amused at what she saw.

The lady’s mother replied in their native language Igbo berating her for the images she sent. She accused the girl of demeaning herself by having such images and went on to thoroughly scold her for her actions.
