A Nigerian lady sends off her mother with numerous gifts to thank her for taking care of her and her child during Omugwo.

The lady who goes by the handle @mummychimbuodogwu posted a video on TikTok of the mother and the numerous gifts she had prepared for her with the caption;

“Omugwo is over , thanks mum for taking care of us ! 😍”

The lady had recently given birth and her mother had come over for Omugwo, which is a period where the mother would she would take care of her grandchild and by extension her daughter.

On completion of this period, the lady decided to show her appreciation for the mother’s effort by preparing gifts for her to take back with her.

Netizens have commended the lady for her generous acts while wishing the same for themselves and their mothers.

Relationship adviser Blessing CEO has criticized the Nigerian designer Veekee James for the way she has handled her marriage in the eyes of the public, blaming her for the endless criticism that has been leveled against her marriage.

She called the designer out while reacting to an article about the couple which had suggested that the husband had ‘married high’. In the video she posted to her Instagram page she explained that this was all due to Veekee’s oversharing of her relationship on social media.

She advised her that her conduct is what led to unnecessary criticisms of her husband and that she should dial things back as people can’t talk about what they do not know;

She said in the caption of the video;

The estranged wife of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad has finally lashed out against the trolls who keep ruining her name.

The mother of Mohbad’s only child has been on the receiving end of severe criticism and insults following the death of the late singer.

The situation was only made worse by Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba Who has kept on accusing her of infidelity, claiming that her son isn’t Mohbad’s and demanding a DNA test which she refused to do.

The aggrieved father has even gone as far as accusing her of causing the late Mohbad’s death, fueling the flames of hate that fans of the late singer have against her.

It seems like the lady is fed up with people defaming her name and in a recent post she made to her Instagram story, has cursed all who continue to slander her name.

The Nigerian actress Sandra Ifudu has declared that she will sue any male actor who tries to forcefully kiss her while making a movie.

The actress took to her page to call out male actors who take advantage of their roles in movies to try and force their female counterparts into engaging in excessive physical acts with them.

Sharing her own experience in a video the actress revealed that she too had been a victim of such acts, accusing some of the previous male co-stars who had worked with her.

She explained that some had tried to overstep their boundaries by turning a simple kiss for the movies they starred in into a “French kiss”.

Sandra stressed the health and mental consequences such an act can have on the female actress, stating that permission and respect for personal space during a kiss is critical, and exchanging saliva can have serious health risks.

An X (Twitter) influencer has come under fire after he compared the wedding ceremony of singer, Davido to that of billionaire son, Anant Ambani.

The influencer who identified as Pooja had shared in a tweet that Anant Ambani’s wedding cost way more than that of the singer.

During the weekend the son of the richest man in Asia, Anant Ambani tied the knot with his lover Radhika Merchant in a luxurious ceremony that took place in India.

Also, recall that Nigerian singer Davido had wedded his long-time partner Chioma in an outstanding ceremony which became the talk of the town.

The influencer had placed both wedding budgets side by side and announced that the billionaire’s son surpassed the ceremony of the singer.

His judgement which wasn’t well received by some Internet users, landed him on the hot seat thereby forcing him to take down the post.

Social Media Influencer, James Brown has shared on his Instagram page that he had a dream whereby he and Papito, his mystery lover, had a baby.

The crossdresser who shared stunning images of himself online attached this statement as a caption underneath the post.

Recall that James Brown had once shared loved-up videos and images of himself and a mystery partner who he often referred to as ‘Papito’

He has now revealed that, while he slept last night, he had a dream that he and Papito,  had a baby together.

Reactions have trailed a video of a male chorister leading the congregation into worshipping God with a trending TikTok sound.

Sharing on TikTok, the male chorister identified as @kingcaleb commenced the praise and worship session by hoping on a popular TikTok sound; the pain, the torment, the torture.

The viral video recorded the shocking reaction from his fellow choristers and the congregation, who expressed confusion before singing and dancing along.

The chorister noted that he introduced the song for the congregation to disregard their pain and pay attention to singing a new song from God seeing as he transitioned from the TikTok sound to a thanksgiving gospel song.

Despite his explanation, many TikTok users insist the song portrays disrespect and mockery to the church. Many speculate that the modern day youth church has turned sacred church activities into a secular place of entertainment.

While some question the importance of the song to the church service, others find amusement in the elders’ reaction to the song.

A Nigerian lady has stirred the imaginations of netizens after she covered the face of her soon-to-be husband in their pre-wedding photoshoot pictures.

The pictures which have since gone viral have drawn a lot of speculation from netizens who wondered why the bride had covered her man’s face.

The tragic news came on June 14, 2024, when it was disclosed that he had passed away that same morning. The cause of death was not stated only the time of passing.

In reaction to a post made by a literary critic on Facebook, a media personality named, Ikhide Ikheloa states that mothers work thrice as hard as fathers but aren’t given nearly enough appreciation for it.

The critic, Marisa Bate wrote;

“describing women who clean and run a house, look after multiple children, and source and prepare food for a spouse as “not working” is surely one of the most successful conspiracies of the 20th century”

To which he replied;

“It took me a long time in life to realize that my mother worked thrice as hard as my dad, at home.”

Another media personality, Fidel Ebohon also reacted to the post, listing the various duties that women are expected to perform at home;

“Cleaner, cook, nanny, teacher, comforter, errand runner, hostess etc. The list is endless.

If men are billed by women for this multiple roles, we will go penniless.”

According to this if women billed men for every role they performed many men would go broke. If a household were to hire a person for each of these roles, that household would be termed rich, yet a woman is expected to perform all of these roles without question.

She is not acknowledged for it with many men believing that this important aspect of running a house cannot be considered work, and their stay-at-home mothers “do nothing” dismissing the hard work of mothers.

The Nigerian billionaire and Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote has revealed that he doesn’t have a permanent residence in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.

He disclosed this during his speech at a media parley which took place at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, on Sunday, July 14, 2024.

The billionaire said that his passion lies in the industrialization of Nigeria and for that reason he refuses to acquire permanent residences outside the country, like in countries such as the UK or the US.

In the speech he revealed that he once had a house in London but sold it in 1996, showing his dedication to focus on his home country Nigeria.

Speaking, he revealed;

“The reason I don’t have a London or America house is solely because I wanted to focus on industrialization in Nigeria. I figured that if I had those houses, there will be one reason or the other for me to visit those places thereby causing distraction for me. I am very passionate about the Nigeria dream and apart from my Lagos house, I have another one in my home state Kano and a rented one in Abuja,”

Nigerian Reality TV Star White Money has disclosed the reason he thinks his music isn’t performing well in Nigeria, which is because Nigerians don’t understand the type of music he creates.

The winner of Big Brother Naija ‘2021 ‘Shine Ya Eye’ has attributed the poor performance of his music in Nigeria, his home country to Nigerians, stating that he would be better received abroad.

He stated various reasons he felt this way, one being that Nigerians could not appreciate his music as it spoke to his experiences and did not contain vulgar lyrics. His music was more ‘conscious‘ and uplifting, not using lyrics that could send his listeners into depression.

He also claimed that because he was more known for his cooking in the show, he was boxed in and hasn’t been allowed to explore his other talents. He continued to say that while it was true that cooking was his passion and he was good at it, music was where his true talents lay and would like to be recognized more for that instead.

In his words;

“Music has always been in me, and I have been doing it for a long time. I do it passionately, and my inspiration comes from the Holy Spirit and the environment. I tell stories from what I see and what I’ve been through. I make ‘conscious’ music.

I have a conscience. My songs don’t contain vulgar words or demeaning lyrics. I don’t talk down on anybody, or use lyrics that can send people into depression. All my lyrics are quite catchy and understandable. When I listen to my songs and I confirm that I am not doing the wrong thing, I get encouraged to continue.

I know that some Nigerians already see me in a certain way, so they would not want me to do my thing. They want me to stick cooking, because of my affinity with the kitchen while in the BBN house. But, I already have that going on. Cooking is a passion, but music is my talent; and I have proved in many ways.

Currently, I think my brand has more prospects outside Nigeria than in the country. Nigerians don’t understand me. They don’t know what I’m about. So, I want to take my brand international with my cooking, music and everything else that I do.”

Nigerian singer Portable has been spotted in a street fight a few days after he returned from the United States of America.

The singer who is constantly in the news, was captured in a video shared online exchanging punches with an unidentified man.

Though the reason for their scuffle is unknown, crowds could be seen gathered around the duo, trying to separate them.

As the singer tried to retreat from the fight and reach his car, his opponent came launching at him with the intent that he would not back down from the fight yet.

Different reactions have trailed a video that was shared online, which captured a young boy wearing a boot belonging to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to school.

The pupil who stood in front of his peers during the school assembly was seen rocking the boots with a pair of white socks.

Surprisingly, he had been recorded by a corper serving in the school, who appeared stunned after she realized that they were wearing matching footwear.

While she videoed what the student and his peers had on their feet, she went on to show hers and that of her colleagues.

Some internet users who came across the clip had suggested that the young boy had taken over the boots from his older siblings who was done serving, while others found the video hilarious.

A Nigerian lawyer has taken to the microblogging platform X to rant about how his sister was unable to secure an apartment in Lagos because she is unmarried.

He said that the landlord had listed several reasons to uphold his statement and then told her to come with her man on her next inspection.

His reasons were;

“1. I can’t rent my house to a single lady because it’s different kinds of men that you will be bringing over.

2. Who will I now be discussing with if something comes up as you don’t have a husband (as per she’s not a human being that can comprehend English)

3. Can you afford the rent? If you have husband, at least he can be adding to your small salary. My sister, small salary? too funny

4. You need a man so we can discuss details”

The lawyer who is quite vocal about how people face discrimination on the basis of gender, religion, age and tribe, vehemently condemned the actions of the landlord.

He went on to attach a picture of the form that was given to his sister to fill out by the house owner and pointed out one of the requirements that caught his attention.

The landlord had included “Name of wife (if married)” on the form instead of Name of spouse which proved that he was not going to rent his house to a single lady.

A Ghanaian man named Boakye Fredrick is set to break the Guinness World Record for the longest dance hour by an individual.

In a video that has now gone viral online, the young man was seen dancing energetically in his native attire.

It is reported that he is set to dance for 7 days straight to surpass the current record holder who danced nonstop for five days.

Srushti Sudhir Japtap, who is the present-day record holder is a 16-year-old Indian dancer, who danced for 127 hours straight.

In a bid to surpass him, Fredrick plans to dance continuously for 168 hours.

The challenge which has is set to last till the 18th of July 2024.

At the time of filing this report, Fredrick has danced for eight hours straight without stopping.

A trending video capturing the moment a little girl’s family intentionally flaunts wealth at a school party during the kindergarten competition has stirred controversy online.

Showing in the video, three kids were assigned to one basket each to receive donations from the respective guests at the school party. However, the little girl happened to be the centre of attraction at the event with her relatives spraying money audaciously.

Surprisingly, the other kids were ignored by other invited guests while the girl’s family members surrounded her, spraying bundles of naira notes.

In a bid to celebrate their daughter, the family has attracted a possible legal case for the naira mutilation which is against the law and also indirectly created enmity between the little girl and other pupils involved in the competition.

Internet users criticized the family members for oppressing invited guests and pupils for their impudent behaviour in a social gathering organized for the kids.

Nigerian lady gets disciplined by her uncle after he discovered she extorted her mum by collecting an extra N100,000 for her final year clearance fee.

The lady who identifies as @adeola.mii shared a video of herself working for the money she extorted from her mum after her uncle instructed her to fry Garri as punishment.

Revealing in the video, the young lady could be seen frying a large amount of Garri vigorously in a heated kitchen.

She captioned the video,

“My uncle got to know that I added N100k extra to the clearance fee I collected from my mum”

It is no news that university students extort or increase institutional fees in order to receive more funds from their parents, even though some eventually get caught in the act.

Nigerian man laments bitterly after giving his girlfriend N15,000 to buy necessary foodstuffs but ends up cooking an unsavory concoction rice.

Sharing on TikTok, the man @obasellanything mentioned that he had given his girlfriend N15,000 to cook a mouth-watering meal but to his surprise, she prepared a meal less than the amount she received.

His girlfriend had prepared a large portion of concoction rice using palm oil and crayfish to nourish the meal.

The man could be heard expressing his displeasure and lamenting over the unsavory meal his girlfriend prepared for N15,000. He exclaimed that he is yet to eat the meal but she had devoured half of the meal in the pot.

The man disclosed that instead of cooking a proper meal, his girlfriend utilizef the money for her personal shopping without considering him.

Different reactions have trailed a video that captured some female students of the Federal University of Oye Ekiti taking off their hair do hurriedly.

The video which was shared on TikTok, captured a large number of student losing and cutting off their braids with the help of their colleagues.

The recorder who shared the video online stated that the girls were asked to take off the coloured hairs or forfeit the writing exam.

According to her, it is an examination policy that people who have coloured hair or attachments would not be allowed to write exams.

In a bid to sit for the exams, the students who had coloured hair and didn’t want to risk missing the exam started taking it off.

Nigerian reality TV star Tacha has weighed in on the ongoing feud between Nigerian actress Toyin Abraham and some X (Twitter) influencers.

She said in a video that she shared on the microblogging platform that the actress was constantly bullied online but people didn’t expect to react because she is a public figure.

Tacha who has also faced cyber bullying online on different occasions said the thespian had the right to take to court anyone who defames her character.

She went on to correct the narrative that the actress didn’t arrest the X influencer, but was only picked up by the police because he failed to come in as requested by the force for questioning.

The clip also recorded her saying;

“I don’t understand the constant, steady bullying based of, of the candidate that she chose to support. Lets not act naive, now with everbody dragging Toyin Abraham what was her impact in the last election, would our president still be our president with or without Toyin Abraham’s help? Yes! You that is dragging Toyin Abraham, what is your contribution to nation building?”

A nursing mother has taken to social media to reveal how she improvises after receiving money for her baby’s formula, substituting it with an unsuitable product for the baby’s health.

The new mother could be seen refilling the tins of baby formula with an unsuitable dairy product harmful to the baby’s digestive system. The woman noted that she often improvised with another product after receiving money.

Despite being considerate money-wise, the alternative baby formula is not designed and recommended to feed babies and infants under 12 months of age.

Netizens have raised eyebrows, stating that the new mother is intentionally endangering her baby’s health because of expensive baby formula.

A Nigerian lady refused to be held back by her father’s curse after she went on to set up a brand new store for herself after he said to her that she wouldn’t achieve anything.

The video which she shared on TikTok, captured her putting the store in order by stocking it up with different items she intend to sell.

The lady who seemed grateful for what she had been able to achieve, stated via the caption she attached to the clip, that her father once told her that she would never achieve anything.

The caption read; “Alihamdulilah, I remember the day my Dad called my Mum that I will not achieve anything in this work. Alihamdulilah”

Nigerian Pastor Advises Men To Not Give Up On Marriage Irrespective Of Their Financial Situation, Sharing Photos From His Wedding (IMAGES)

A Nigerian pastor has encouraged young men to pursue love and marriage irrespective of their current financial situation as “God will make a way”

The pastor, Sam Odeg shared images of him and his wife when they were at their lowest and where they were now in life. He encourages young men to pursue whom they love, stating that one way or the other things would work out.

While celebrating their wedding anniversary, he shared his story and also images of his spouse both before and after their wedding.

Narrating his story, he wrote;

“These pictures were taken on Friday, 16th September, 2022 in my one room as a bachelor. That place she sat was my bed too.

And all that you see there were the only properties I had. Thank YOU LORD JESUS CHRIST

She was making our wedding lists there. We kept cancelling out things that had high prices and replacing them with cheaper ones.

We had planned to get married on 10th December 2022 that same year. But it didn’t work out because of financial constraints. So we postponed it.

We refixed the date to be on Monday 10th April, 2023 the next year. It still didn’t work out because of finances again. We shifted it yet again.

Finally, by faith, with lots of doubts and fears oh, we fixed it to be on Monday 10th July 2023. And GOD did it for us.

We already decided that whichever year and month our wedding would hold, it would be on the 10th of any month we would choose. GOD did it for us.

Just like yesterday, we will be ONE YEAR tomorrow!

Thus far hath the LORD brought us! Kai!

FATHER we say THANK YOU!

We have vows never to share in Your GLORY. NEVER LORD! NEVER! 

I don’t know who this is for, if you’re planning your wedding and the money isn’t enough yet, please postpone it. Don’t be ashamed to shift it to a later time. Certainly one day, it will happen and you’ll return all glory to GOD ALMIGHTY

An egg vendor falls into debt as an unknown bike man ran into his tricycle conveying several crates of eggs on the street, leading to an unexpected scene of flowing egg yolk.

In the video shared online, the cause of the accident between the tricycle and bike man was undisclosed and the cyclists were not captured on the scene. However, many suggested that the untarred sloppy road might have derailed the bike.

The viral clip recorded several crates of eggs laying broken on the road after the tricycle lost its balance on motion. The video of the broken eggs could be likened to the biblical illustration of a land flowing with milk and honey.

Internet users express their sympathy towards the parties involved in the massive loss as many emphasized on the outrageous market price of egg in the market. Some netizens claimed that the price of the motorcycle cannot afford the broken crates of eggs.

A video has gone viral of a couple embracing while riding a motorcycle, touching the hearts of any who views the video.

The lady who was presumed to be the wife was the one riding the motorcycle while her husband held her tightly from behind, not caring about the opinions of others.

The lady spotting the camera seemed shy, as she tried to block her face with her hands but her husband couldn’t be bothered.  The man did not let go of his wife even after drawing the attention of onlookers.

While most men would be embarrassed in that situation as it was the wife driving the motorcycle, it did not affect the husband as he continued to hold on to his wife throughout the video, not letting her go for a single moment.

The video was shared on TikTok by @prettyomah48 and has since gone viral.  Many who come across the video have been touched by the loving couple, commenting on just how in love they were to not be bothered by spectators.
