VeryDarkMan has been thrown into cell for close to a week now and his media enemy, Blessing CEO has come out of the goodness of her heart to plead for his release.

It was alleged that actress cum politician Tonto Dikeh, actress Iyabo Ojo and Sam Clef were behind his arrest by the Nigerian police on Friday last weekend.

Prior to his arrest, he had been dragging these trio when they were advocating justice for the late Mohbad. He had come for them unprovoked and discredited their reputation.

VDM’s arrest brought a myriad of reactions from the public. While those he made enemies were glad and relieved that he is finally being dealt with, his supporters protested for his release claiming he says the bitter truth.

BlessingCEO despite their cat and rat relationship online has made a video pleading that his arresters release him as she feels pity for him.

She said he has been childish and immature with the way he attacks people greater and influential than him. She attributes this to his sudden popularity that he didn’t expect and negative influence on him by specific celebrities who just want to use him.

Blessing reminisces on her own prison experience and assert that it is not a good place to be. She therefore begs that they forgive him as social media is boring without his annoying presence.

Speaking in his Yoruba dialect, the Keke Napep driver stated reasons why the tricycle job is preferable to a teaching job and other white collar job; driving Keke Napep is lucrative.

Paternity fraud and DNA tests have been trending for quite some time now and have required different opinions and thoughts from internet users.

Sharing via her page on the platform, she mentioned that couples should respect and trust who they are married to.

Adding that it’s only when you are married to an unserious partner, such doubts should arise and you should also be ready to dance to the tune.

Her tweet read;

“Running paternity test/ DNA without your wife’s consent/in secrecy, is a solid ground for DIVORCE!!! If it’s a woman who has never given you any reason to DOUBT her!!! she should do you an extensive favor of NEVER SEEING THOSE KIDS AGAIN! If you know who you married and have genuine love for them, you won’t do such stupid thing! If you marry rubbish man or woman,,, you should be ready to dance to the garbage tune.”

While some internet users agreed with her, others suggested that DNA tests should be conducted on both parents.

Below are some of the comments,

@oluwatofunmilayoo:  DNA should be conducted on both parents too, switching of babies is real

@boss_humprey:  If you are doing paternity test, be sure to do maternity tests for your wife as well. Because some persons (nurses) tend to switch babies at birth. So it is important to get the full gist since you decided to put on your investigative hat.

@ellavenjearbo:  I think DNA test is very important, but for peace to rain, do it without her knowledge. If the kid is yours, branch and buy her gift and flowers as a quiet apology for doubting her loyalty but if it is not yours, scatter everywhere.

Nigerian actress and singer, Dayo Amusa has slammed judges at the Beast of Two World movie premiere for giving Bobrisky an award for the most dressed female.

The actress had criticized the judges at the premiere for gifting a crossdresser an award in the presence of real women.

Amusa claimed that there were two categories, best-dressed male and female but the organizers decided to reward Bobrisky with the award for best-dressed female.

In her opinion, a transgender man should not be given an award from under a female category and their actions at the ceremony resulted in two men collecting both awards.

While addressing the public, she noted that if the organizers wanted to reward a crossdresser they should create their own categories.

The actress who mentioned that the judges disrespected all other women present, said;

“I’m not happy, the winner could have been anyone but definitely not a crossdresser, what’s wrong with us, when did we become like this? I can’t imagine the judges disrespecting every woman who was there, who actually made an effort to be at that event, you watered the effort of all the women at the event by giving the best-dressed female to a crossdresser, I don’t get it. If they deserve to get an award, give them a space and platform to showcase themselves. Their actions made me walk out of the event angrily.”

“What P-Square, 2Face, D’banj sacrificed for us is what we’re enjoying now” – Davido

Popular Nigerian singer David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has admitted that the prominence that Nigerian musicians are currently enjoying has been sacrificed by their predecessors as he speaks up about his first international deal with Sony.

In a recent interview, the “Stand Strong” crooner discussed this and mentioned that he had signed with Sony Music in 2016, marking his first worldwide contract.

The singer claimed that because Sony was the label that signed him, they had to produce an album with him, and as such, they selected the producers and other musicians.

He claimed that the album was a failure by his standards and that he was forced to hire his producers again in Nigeria as the other ones were unable to appreciate the sound of African music.

According to Davido, the success that Nigerian musicians are currently experiencing is a result of the efforts of their predecessors, including P-Square, 2Face, and Dbanj. The next generation of artists will benefit more from the current generation’s output.

“Men support my dancing career more than women” – Kaffy

Popular Nigerian dancer and entertainer, Kafayat Shafau, better known as Kaffy has stated that she gets more support and affection from guys than from women.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, Kaffy disclosed this and added that becoming a dancer has caused her to lose some close friendships.

Dancer Kaffy slams

According to the Guinness World Record holder, the biggest sacrifice she had to make when she decided to pursue dance full-time was breaking into that door that did not exist, as dance was neither a mainstream nor a financially feasible job.

The expert choreographer also criticised how women in the entertainment sector were frequently treated like sexual objects.

Kaffy said; “I have got more admiration and support from men, than women. It came after a bit of resistance, which is normal, because there will always be some of resistance when one newly gets into a field.”

Taking on a career without any gender focus is already tough. As a dancer, the only place we were appreciated was when we were displaying for the National Troupe, or when were called by a governor for a national assignment. Dancing was not a mainstream career, neither was it commercially viable.

Breaking into that door that did not exist was the main sacrifice for me, as well as the pain of losing family friends and people around me. I was practically isolated. There even some people who initially supported me, but withdraw their support because they did not see what I was seeing.”

As a woman, one is often asked what value one brings to the table to be considered with one’s male peers. I struggled a lot with that, because while expressing myself, I had to deal with music directors, editors and different stakeholders who felt one’s opinion was not necessary.

But one of the things that helped me was the fact that I am highly educated and intellectual enough to express my ideas and implement them in ways that earned me respect. I was also hands on with whatever I said.”
