Ex-husband of 'Face of Beauty' CEO finally

Peter Idehen, the ex-husband of Patience Patra Idehen, has finally shared his side of the story two months after she publicly accused him of abandoning her and their children.

Recall that Patra, who runs the once-popular beauty pageantry, Face of Beauty Nigeria, made headlines recently after calling out her husband for being a deadbeat father.

She mentioned that issues started arising when she purchased a car in her name. According to her, her husband became jealous and began giving her attitude because of the car and how she paid the bills whenever they went out together.

Sadly, she suffered financial hardship in December 2022 and had to sell the car and a plot of land she owned in Benin City.

Amidst her financial struggles, she claimed her husband abandoned her and their two children under the guise of learning a new skill, which she had paid for.

Things worsened when she received a heartbreaking message from her husband, stating that their marriage had been over since 2019.

Due to her financial situation, she couldn’t provide for her children. When she contacted him for money, he allegedly sent meager sums of N2,000 and N5,000, barely enough to feed the kids.

She tearfully narrated how she went days without eating because she was saving her money to feed the children. She mentioned being on the verge of eviction and requested financial help. Watch her speak here.

In a new update, Peter has come out to respond to her allegations in a video he shared online. He denied abandoning his wife and their kids, claiming that he traveled to hustle for the family but always checked on Patra and the kids, and she consistently reported that everything was okay with them.

His words,

“First of all, I did not abandon you and the kids. I did not. When I left, it was to go hustle for you and the children. Regardless of the fact that we were not together anymore, I never abandoned my responsibility and I am sorry if you perceived it that way because we are not together and you alone have to go through taking care of the children. I understand that. A lot of things have happened that I was not aware of.

First of all, we didn’t even have that communication. We were not talking on the phone. We communicated via text. Anything you were telling me was via text. When I asked you how are you, you would say you were fine, so I didn’t even know the depth of what you were going through.”

Responding to the allegation that he married Patra because she had money, Peter said;

“I knew you had a car but I did not know like the extent to which you had some money. I thought you were a trying babe. If you see a girl who had nice hair and a nice phone, would you think that she is a millionaire? That is the normal thing that girls try to have. It was after we got married you started letting me know the depth….I did not know all these things before we got married. We were in love and that was what led to the marriage. Not because of any other factor. At all. I am a Bini man. I have pride. You know right from time I have never and will never be interested in your money. I have my pride.

For the age thing, I knew you were older than me but I didn’t care. I am a Bini man. In my culture, a woman (wife) shouldn’t be older than her husband, unless we are siblings. In any relationship, the woman is not supposed to be older than in man in Bini culture. So those things didn’t bother me at all.”

Zimbabwean filmmaker and journalist, Violet Avoid, has taken her own life just a day after celebrating her 33rd birthday.

Violet, who gain prominence after featuring in Andy Muridzo and Jeetaz Band’s music video ‘Malowe,’ reportedly committed suicide by consuming rat poison.

This tragic decision comes two months after she narrated how her life took a drastic turn following a rape incident at a work function.

She had revealed that after a night of wild drinking, she woke up the following morning to discover that she had been raped.

She said she was filled with confusion and distress as she was unable to identify the rapist who took advantage of her while she was drunk.

According to her, she didn’t tell anyone about the incident, not even her husband. Instead, she choose to take morning-after pills with the hope of avoiding pregnancy.

She then continued to live her life, howbeit consumed with guilt. Sadly, she eventually found out that she was pregnant.

She said she considered attributing the pregnancy to her husband but couldn’t because he had been out of town for at least three months.

With time, her husband started noticing that she was pregnant but she vehemently denied it. The stress took a toll on her health and she fell ill.

Her husband suggested that she seeks medical help but she refused, leading to a heated argument. Things took a turn for the worse when her husband’s friend, also her boss, intervened, resulting in a physical fight.

In the process, her husband got seriously injured after her boss knocked him over and he hit his head on the corner of the table.

He was thereafter rushed to the hospital while bleeding and in serious pain. However, Violet was remanded in prison for days until her boss turned himself into the police. Upon her release, she started caring for her husband, who remained hospitalized.

However, following his discharge, he sent her packing from their matrimonial home. Sadly, she left with no money, job or family to turn to or anywhere to go.

Fortunately, she managed to secure a job and accommodation at the Seventh Day Adventist church, where she worked as a farmer.

However, it appears that she couldn’t handle the trials and travails anymore, and ultimately chose to end it all.

A Nigerian artist has warmed the hearts of many online after he shared a video of him gifting an orange seller an art work of her that he drew.

The woman was earlier captured in the video sitting next to her tray of oranges while attending to her customers.

The artist who identified as @davspen_art while sharing the video on TikTok, showcased the process he took to get the artwork ready.

He started by scouting the environment where the woman sold her product and putting her face to heart.

He then displayed from the beginning to the end of how he sketch the woman’s face into becoming an artwork.

On presenting the piece to the woman, she appeared excited while receiving it with smiles and even proposed to pay him for the piece.

Popular Nollywood actor, Prince Eke has criticized his colleagues as he celebrates eight years of escaping the nest of kidnappers in Rivers State.

Popular Nigerian singer, Ahmed Ololade, better known as Asake, has stated that because he was too humble, people used to take him for granted.

In a video that has gone viral, Asake spoke about his past experiences while interacting with his colleagues.

Asake stated that it is preferable for someone to be egoistic and that humility is a waste of time since others do not value it.

US-based Nigerian singer and dancer, Korra Obidi, has criticized her ex-husband Justin Dean for neglecting to pay their first daughter’s school expenses.

The American dancer vented her frustration on Facebook Live, disclosing that Dean still won’t pay his appropriate percentage of June’s tuition and doesn’t contribute to her food or medical expenses.

She said that Athena would soon be joining, and she wouldn’t find this east at all, which was why she was speaking out.

According to Korra, Justin Dean stopped paying in July, but she didn’t know this until she got a letter from the school threatening to expel June.

Nigerian media personality, Daddy Freeze has advised men not to date or marry women who earn less than them and cannot place them on monthly allowances.

The socio-religious commentator urged them not to keep pursuing ladies who appear to be hungry and to ask meaningful questions.

Daddy Freeze underlined that a woman is not worthy of a man’s attention if she is unable to provide him with an allowance while speaking during an Instagram live session.

Florence while quoting a tweet with her pictures on the microblogging platform X, shared that she was looking for somebody’s son.

Tweeps, however, were quick to notice that she was the same lady who was rumored to have abandoned her boyfriend for singer Iyanya at Davido’s concert.

Three Victims Found Dǝad Following Alleged Cult-Related Attack In Rivers State

Tragedy struck in Egbeh community, located in the Ubie kingdom of Ahoada West Local Government Area, Rivers State, as suspected cultists carried out a gruesome attack, resulting in the abduction and killing of three individuals, one of whom was a woman.

Reports indicate that the cultists, allegedly connected with a leader known as General ‘Danger,’ launched the assault on Monday, December 4, 2023.

The victims were forcibly taken by the suspects, and their lifeless bodies were later discovered along the Egbeh and Ebiriba Road area of Ubie Kingdom.

According to sources within the community, the two male victims had previously engaged in a dispute with a woman identified as the mother of General ‘Danger.’ Allegedly, she made threats against them, vowing to carry out revenge.

General ‘Danger‘ is believed to be the head of the Iceland cult group operating in the region.

The abducted woman was reportedly the girlfriend of one of the male victims.

The mother of General ‘Danger’ has since fled the community.

Following the abduction, panic has engulfed the area as residents raised the alarm, prompting a search for the missing individuals.

Sadly, gunshots were heard in the vicinity of Egbeh and Ebiriba Road, and the bodies of the three victims were later discovered.

The Rivers State Police Command spokesperson, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident and assured that investigations are in order.

As the investigation progresses, the community mourns the loss of the victims and hopes for swift justice to be served.

Nigerian businesswoman, Sandra Iheuwa, has revealed how she was driven out of his house by her ex-husband, Steve Maduka, after he threatened her with a pistol.

Recall that after splitting from Ubi Franklin, Sandra married the CEO of Royal Hairs Limited, Steve Maduka; however, their marriage was short-lived.

Sandra said that her marriage to Maduka ended when the businessman threw her out of his house for not prioritizing hygiene in an interview with media personality, Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu, on the most recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast.

She claimed that even though she adjusted and helped around the house while heavily pregnant, her ex-husband demanded she should leave, saying she was pretending.

Sandra said:

“He [my ex-husband] said I was throwing pillows on the floor and I wasn’t cleaning the house. We had a house boy so I don’t understand how a whole CEO and businesswoman has to be cleaning her whole house.

“He also said that I wasn’t cooking for him. We had a chef. He said I needed to be in the kitchen directing the chef and I said we already have a timetable.

So, one morning, he woke me up and was like, ‘Sandra, leave my house.’ He threatened me with a gun. He said he was gonna shoot me. He was shouting and insulting my parents. I was doing everything he wanted me to do. I left my business and I was cooking, doing everything with heavy pregnancy. I will serve him food on the tray because that is what he wants. He is a traditional man. So, I did all of that. He said, ‘Nah,’ I’m pretending.

He said that I was pretending that if he just gave me another week, I would go back to the way I was. I told him that I wasn’t pretending that I was doing what it took to take care of my marriage and protect my marriage. But he insisted I leave.”

A startling incident unfolded during a mass service at St Gregory Parish in Iyiowa Odekpe, Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, as a man was caught red-handed stealing a woman’s handbag.

The incident, which occurred on Sunday, has raised concerns about the safety of worshippers in churches.

According to a Facebook post by Egbuaba Ifeaoma, who witnessed the incident, the woman had left her handbag on her seat while she went to give an offering during the early morning mass.

Upon her return, she discovered that her bag had been stolen.

Quickly raising the alarm, church members sprang into action, determined to apprehend the culprit.

The alleged thief attempted to escape by running into a concealed area, but the vigilant church members were fast in their pursuit.

Eventually, they managed to locate and apprehend the suspect, subjecting him to rough handling.

This incident serves as a reminder for people to remain cautious and vigilant, particularly during religious gatherings.

The audacity of thieves targeting worshippers in churches is a cause for concern and a need for heightened security.

Nigerian Youtuber and lawyer, Chisom Daveed has countered people who believe that men disrespect women in this generation because of their indecency.

Chisom requested that they mention a period when men had respected woman while listing some ways woman were treated in the past.

According to the lawyer, men have never respected woman, so it’s not about the generation or their appearances.

She cited several examples like when women were not allowed to vote, allowed to own properties or when they did not have right to their children.

She also added that it’s not about the ‘woke generation’ because even the sleeping generation were more disrespected by men than now.

She said;

“Tell me, can you show me a time in history where men have ever respected women, is it when they were not allowed to vote, when they were not allowed to own properties or when they did not have rights to their child, when women were not allowed to work outside of their home and even if they did they get paid a fraction compared to what men earn, tell me a time in history when men have ever respected women, people that before they do not even see you as a human being, I am not sure they do now, so tell me when men as a collective have ever respected women, so it’s not a this generation or woke generation even the asleep generation they were still be disrespected more by men than this generation.”

Chisom then rounded up by saying people should allow wisdom and knowledge pick them for once.

South African woman shares how she contracted HIV at 17 after slǝǝping with a married celebrity

A South African woman, identified as Lebo Motsumi, has recounted how she got infected with HIV after having an affair with a married celebrity.

In a series of posts shared on Twitter (now X), Lebo, who is now a HIV and teens coach, narrated how she met the celebrity at the club at the age of 17.

She said they began having unprotected sex unknown to her that he was HIV positive and was sleeping with her with the intention of infecting her with the virus.

Lebo, who has been living with the virus for 14 years, shared her story to encourage other people to avoid unprotected sex and encouraged them to get tested periodically.

It’s worth noting that the said celebrity, singer Tebogo Ndlovu better known as Zombo, passed away in February 2008, presumably from the deadly virus.

“How I got infected with HIV.

I was 17, my friend and I went to a club to watch a performance by Chomee. During the performance, I spotted Tebogo Ndlovu (Zombo), and he was winking at me. He had lost a lot of weight.

Well, people lose weight, so It wasn’t a big deal. He approached me and asked for my numbers, and I gave them to him. We hugged, and he left the club.

So, growing up, I have always wanted to be famous, and I saw this as my ticket to fame. All I could think about were headlines in different newspapers, magazines, etc. “LEBO MOTSUMI PREGNANT WITH ZOMBOS CHILD” yeah that how desperate I was.

We spoke on the phone for a couple of days and planned to meet, he came to my house cause I was living alone at the time. We had unprotected sex and I really didn’t mind cause I had a plan.

Little did I know, he also had his own plan, which was to infect me with HIV on purpose. This relationship was not one built on love. I wanted fame, and he wanted to infect me.

We had sex everywhere and anywhere, mostly in his white golf 1. I remember the wife would call me to leave him alone, did I listen? Nah, I was on a mission. To date, I feel she was warning me, but at the time, I didn’t really care. I wanted the fame.

Months later, he got ill and was admitted to Sunninghill Hospital and told me he had TB. I still made nothing out of it, and when he recovered, we continued having sex, I would even feed his drug addiction with my school fees money.

I eventually fell pregnant, and I was so excited. I called to inform him, and he denied the pregnancy. After some time at 6/7 months, I decided to have an abortion at a back street clinic. Went on with my life.

He then reached out and asked me to watch a music show on SABC1. I think it’s called “Liveamp” now. He appeared on the show sitting on a wheelchair. He then disclosed his HIV status and mentioned he went around spreading the virus cause he didn’t want to die alone.

Now you probably thinking the first thing I would do is test? Nope, I thought I was immune to getting infected with HIV, I just never associated myself with the virus.

How do I know he infected me? At 16, I was pregnant, and after giving birth to a premature baby (after trying to abort), I tested negative for HIV, and zombo was the next person I slept with after burial of my son.

HIV doesn’t have a face, and it can happen to anyone. Let’s start testing regularly with our partners. Get on prep, and use a condom consistently. An HIV infection is avoidable.”

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, popularly known by his stage name Mr Eazi, has asserted that renowned comedian, I Go Dye took his money and failed to show up for his event.

In a recent podcast interview with music journalist, Joey Akan, on Afrobeats Intelligence, he made the accusation against the stand-up comedian.

Mr. Eazi recalled how despite having paid I Go Dye to appear at an event he had planned in Ghana, he never showed up.

He claimed that he would still bring up the incident and insist on receiving his money back anytime he saw I Go Dye.

In his words,

“I had the first social award of my university, Swagatainment Award. That was when I booked R2Beees, Wande Coal and Sarkodie. Wande Coal was in town but didn’t show up at the event. I did not know he didn’t receive his full money.

I was like begging Sarkodie. It was about $2,500. Please, come on stage even though I have not paid you in full. And he saved me by coming on stage. That is why he is more than a friend. He is my brother. I had Sarkodie, R2Bees. I Go Dye ran away with my money.

I Go Dye if you are hearing this right now, you took money from some Kwame Nkrumah University students and you never showed up.

A UK-based Nigerian woman, identified as @Engr.Lois A, has blamed Nigerian immigrants for the ban on all visa types to the UK.

In a post she shared on the microblogging platform X, she stated that Nigerians living in the UK were always ranting online.

According to her, she believes that the UK decided to put a ban on all visa types because of the kind of content Nigerian creators living in the UK were sharing online.

She wrote in the tweet;

There appears to be trouble in the marriage of the American celebrity couple, Cardi B and Offset, as they have unfollowed each other on Instagram.

A quick check of their Instagram profiles shows that they have both unfollowed each other on the photo and video-sharing platform for reasons best known to them.

Though it’s currently not clear why they are at odds, they gave a subtle hint with cryptic posts they shared on their Instastories.

The WAP crooner, who shares two children with her husband, asserted that she has ‘outgrown’ someone, presumably referring to her husband, and she needs to put herself first.

“You know when you just outgrow relationships,” Cardi wrote.
