Nollywood actress, Dayo Amusa, has in a recent interview advised young women to stop dating married men, as one day they will be wives and mothers and would not want the same thing to happen to them.
The actress said dating multiple men may not give one an option of a perfect man, as it sometimes leads to confusion.
“Frankly, as a public figure and based on what I stand for, I would not encourage a young lady to chase after married men. Some might say that married men would take good care of them, but it is wrong. It is not something I would encourage the youth to do.
“Also, I do not think that having numerous boyfriends gives you the privilege of having a perfect guy as it could even cause confusion at some point,” she said.
The actress further stated in the interview with Saturday Beats, that there really is nothing wrong with actors choosing to live fake lives, as she described their business as make-believe.
She said,
“Although social media is a platform that is meant to provide opportunities for people, sadly, most people are misusing it. I do not see the big deal in any artiste going on social media to live a particular life because it is called showbiz. You have to ‘show’ for the business to grow.
“You have to brand yourself and make people see that you can promote their products well through the lifestyle you depict. If that is what people mean by fake life then it is fine. As an artiste, we live in a make-believe world which means that 80 per cent of the things you see us do on screen and even on social media are make-believe.
“It is totally different from my personality. I might be at home and choose to tie a piece of cloth round my waist and drink garri. But if I would go on social media, I would not want to do that because some of my fans would be disappointed.
“I am not advising young women to pretend to be who they are not. What I am saying is that as an artiste, we need to ‘show’ for the business to grow. I am a very realistic person and I do not see myself as one of those fake ones”

Adeola shared a photo of herself rocking the haircut which apparently was disdained by the deacon who had also seen the picture and so she asked that it’s all covered when she’s coming to church.
Adeola became somewhat insulted by this and so she decided that maybe she’ll find another church that can accommodate her haircut because she can’t change herself just because of a Church.
She shared the photo on her page below and wrote,
Deacon in church saw my picture with the haircut and told me to wear wig or hat when coming to church.
Me: I’ll find another church that can accommodate my haircut!

Madam Kemi Olunloyo has reacted to the drama going on between Stella Dimokokorkus and Linda Ikeji, after the latter accused her of theft. (See Story Here)
Kemi Olunloyo took to her Instagram page to wade in on the apparent fight between Linda Ikeji and Stella DimokoKorkus.
The two who were once best of friends, seem to be at loggerheads, and below is what kemi has to say about it all;
#HNNGossip I’m the only NIGERIAN in the Top 10 pioneer bloggers in the world @time magazine 1999. Many of you were babies when this started in 2006. Linda is a blogger, Stella and I are Journalists. There is a big difference. Journalists who blog are called professional bloggers. Mr Aye Dee took Linda’s blog down for 29 hours because of copyright infringement. I was the first to fight for Linda behind the scenes and told you her blog will return live at midnight and it did plus I tweeted it #LIVE. My Twitter genius @tade355 go find me those tweets. I called my friend Sergei Brim co-founder of Google who linked with Google Nigeria. The beef here is long-standing. At the Nigerian Tribune in 2013, I was told to do a story on Nigeria’s top Female bloggers. When I compiled the list, Stella declined to be featured if Linda was on it. Next I was Linda’s victim. The 2013 gun story where she diminished my brand. I dropped the Tribune story and instead I wrote a story on how Nigerian bloggers have generally failed because of copying and syndicating each other. Linda also made fun of Stella’s oyinbo babies saying she slept with oil expats and didn’t know the father of her kids when she actually married one and had kids with him before they moved to Germany. I watched all this play out from 2005-2018. The solution now is Linda, keep your interns trained on photo credits and sourcing info. Someone will take down your blog permanently like what happened to Twitter. That could collapse your empire. Don’t let it happen!! We are web logging and logging the web is not all copy and paste. #WEBLOGGING without the we is what is termed blogging. You must credit and source content from the web meaning other people’s work. Cheers Kemi Olunloyo–Journalist????
Veteran Nigerian rapper, Ruggedman has written open letter to his fellow celebrities, asking them to challenge governance.
Ruggedman, one of the most respected Nigerian rappers, has written an open letter to his fellow celebrities on Instagram.
In his letter, the Hiphop star told the celebrities that they have a responsibility to their fans who made them who they are.
He said it is their duty as celebrities to use their platforms to demand better governance for the people.
Read the letter below:
“OPEN LETTER to CELEBRITIES
“With humility and respect I come before each of you who has toiled so hard with discipline & sacrifice to come this far. May all your efforts & fame not be in vain. I write to ignite your sub-conscious minds on the poor state of the nation and why as celebrities should demand from the govt to FIX ELECTRICITY & SECURITY FIRST! A vigorous campaign through our social media, peaceful rally & personal rappourt will be efficacious. In other words, the REVOLUTION the poor masses and Nigeria need with zero casualty is “CELEBRITY REVOLUTION”.
That is why you have a VOICE.
“A quick look into the SLAVE TRADE ERA and ask some honest questions. Who were those selling their fellow citizens then? Who were the intermediaries? What was their gain and where do they stand in history now? A vivid look into the approach of majority of our politicians today, you can strike resemblance. If you have no choice than to campaign for any, kindly make your voice count.
“Picture others including yourself from now till February vehemently BREAKING YOUR SILENCE and demanding that that any government in power should allow the budgets and actions of the govt in the next 2years focus on restoring 24/7 power and rebuilding police services from personell, police stations, welfare, National Emergency Number, National Database, Borders and Human Rights.
“The Police is tied to so many things and nobody can bring meaningful growth, fight corruption, insecurity and achieve PEACE if we have this kind of police system. Police salaries and welfare are horrible, the stations are always in darkness and smelling. No staff toilet and they fuel patrol vehicles and generating sets with their money etc. Police & Army Human Rights abuses are disgraceful. The govt should fix the rot in these two so we can be as half better as South Africa.
“Human Rights abuses, Domestic Violence, Insecurity are on the rise, sad part is when these crimes are going on, nobody to call, Nobody to rescue & you must not take laws into your hands.
“Please decide now to ADD VALUE to the society and not AS USUAL. Thank you.

Yep. I am glad you remember what I’ve always said. Remember I said for long voicework was my main income stream because I had no fulltime acting work…in fact it was this consistent MTN work I was referring to.
I am sure some of them are. They still use the recordings made with the previous voice artist before I started doing the prompts in 2012
The recordings are called (ivr) internal voice recording. So the established style/tone of the recording voice.
i have done the voice for a while. But there were other artists who may be white who also did and those recording are still also used. Also, when I am not available, they use a similar voice, so the MTN phone voice stays consistent.

An appeal court in Abuja has reduced former governor of Plateau state, Joshua Dariye’s jail term from 14 years to 10 years.
The appeal court who quashed count 23 because the persecution did not prove beyond reasonable doubt that the former governor diverted the funds of the state to purchase a house in London, held that the maximum sentence of 14 years for the counts was excessive especially because the appellant is a first-time offender.
The presiding judge, Justice Stephen Adah on Friday who reduced the charges in the counts to 10 years, while the terms with two years are reduced to one year each, also quashed the sentence in count 12 as he read the unanimous judgment of the three-man panel.
The panel held that the lower court which had earlier found the former Plateau State Governor not guilty for the charge, should not have sentenced him on the charge.
