She said ;
“I didn’t have a good relationship with my father growing up because he wanted a male child. Those made me understand as a child that you have to fight for yourself because it is about you alone at the end of the day.
“People think I like money, the fear of failing makes me work hard. I always push myself to succeed and be the person everyone doubted me to be. When I was little, people would ask me what gave me the impression I could become successful in life. I once struggled to pay my rent and I have been turned down by people many times. I didn’t get here because I am beautiful or an actress; I kept pushing myself. I do things that you will never think I can do; nobody thought I would be given an admission at the prestigious Harvard Business School.”
She said she was aware that everyone had a limited time to spend on earth, insisting that she had decided to live like there was no tomorrow.
Ike explained further ;
“I have been through a lot in my life; I have my ups and downs. I try to have a good life because life is too short. I lost my mother when she was still very young, which made me realise that we cannot live as long as we want. You don’t even know what can happen tomorrow; so, you have to embrace every moment.”

Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, has implored Nigerians to not give up their hopes on the plans of President Buhari to build a new Nigeria and that the pains that are being experienced at the moment are just the price to pay for a better tomorrow.
Aregbesola, who stated this during the weekend, while hosting the Committee on South-West Youth and Women Sensitisation Programme, led by wife of the Deputy Governor of Katsina State, Hajia Mariya Buhari Munir, appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the Buhari-led administration.
In a report by The Guardian, he told the group that was on a courtesy visit to him that despite the challenges Nigerians are faced with, there is still light at the end of the tunnel because they have a president who can be trusted.
Aregbesola said,
“For whoever that has grievances with the present Federal Government, I want you to know that it is not always easy to correct an already damaged situation. It is obvious that there are challenges and pains, but I want us to see it as the challenge of building a new Nigeria.
“We should accept the hardships we are facing now as the price to pay for building a new Nigeria of our dreams; that country where everything will work the way it ought to is what our president is working hard to achieve. We shall get there and we shall all be better for it.
“We cannot give up on Nigeria at this time, we are almost there, let’s have faith in our president; we can do it and I know it is possible. Nigeria is redeemable and the process has already started with the present administration.”
The governor said the rot inherited from the past administration could not be hurriedly fixed in one or two years, explaining that the nation would have experienced serious doom if the present administration had not berthed when it did.
He described Buhari as a partner in progress and a pillar of strength and support to many states that could not finance themselves, citing the various forms of assistance given to them in the form of bailouts, the Paris Club refund and others, which helped them to find their feet.
Nollywood actor, Emeka Enyiocha who has been away from the movie scene for quite some time now, has explained his reason for the absence.
Enyiocha, who owned a beer parlour in the Surulere area of Lagos said;
“I don’t want to work for other people to eat.”
The actor added that the people he handed over the business to were mismanaging it, forcing him to close it down.
On why he left the movie world;
”I left the industry because I got married and started having kids. I had more responsibilities to deal with. I needed to be closer to my family and kids so that they would not call me uncle when they see me. Marriage and family slowed me down. It definitely slows someone down except you do not want to take care of your family.”
Former BBNaija Housemate, Lolu has opened up in a new interview on his relationship with Anto both during and after the show and he insisted that the kiss they shared in the house was as real as life.
Lolu Somuyiwa, in the interview with Segun Adebayo and Victor Ogunyinka, of Tribune, also opened up that life after the house has not been easy.
Safe to say it has been overwhelming. With having to deal with a barrage of messages from women, who want a piece of him, to building what he called an uncommon brand to living up to expectations from people.
Excerpts below:
Since you left the Big Brother Naija house, you have been seen everywhere attending events and making new friends. What have you been up to?
I have been everywhere trying to be successful. I have been building my brand and achieving my goals as much as I can. Big Brother gave us a platform and I have been trying to build on that platform to achieve everything God has placed in my heart.
Has it been hard building your brand on that big platform?
The brand I am trying to build is not one that would be built overnight. What I am building requires a lot of hard work and groundwork, and a lot of determination and commitment. So far, so good! I have been working hard to bring that dream to reality.
As much as I am working hard to bring make sure everything turns out fine, I have come to understand that by the time you get to the end of a destination, you will realise that there is another destination. Basically, I am a work in progress. I am grateful for how far I have come, but there is more work to be done.
After the Big Brother show, was there a time that you felt like there were things you should have handled better; what was that thing you wished you could take back?
What makes a man is him being able to accept responsibilities for his actions; whether good or bad. I don’t think I should have done anything differently or take anything back. I have always felt like everything I did in the house was done with the same sound mind. I don’t have any regrets about whatever happened in that house. I am so happy that for those 11 weeks I was in the house, I was myself.
Let’s talk about you and Anto. There was the first and second coming. There was also the kissing moments that everybody saw. Was that kiss real? Or you were acting?
Acting? The only time I acted while in the house was one of those times when we had to carry out a particular task. People felt I acted because I may have been blessed to know how to use words. My experience in the media spanned over 10 years, where I am used to words day in day out.
Apart from being in the media, I read a lot and I had to learn from people. I think people just finally got to see me on television as opposed to hearing my voice on radio. Whatever happened in that house was not an act. It was real from day one till I left.
Recently, we had the gist about Alex and Khloe having a big fight over Leo when he celebrated his birthday. In fact, we learnt that Khloe deleted Leo’s pictures on her instgram page afterwards. What exactly is going on between the two girls?
People just like blow things out of proportion. All the housemates are on the same Whatsapp group and we all talk regularly. There was never a time that this issue came up in the group. Alex and Khloe are in that group.
Both of them talk in that group. It does not make any sense to me. People are very quick to add up one or two things to paint the picture they imagined. I won’t say they are best of friends, but they have mutual respect for each other. I don’t think there is any snatching of Leo gist anywhere.

But the less bothered lady continues to live-stream herself and laughing at the victim’s painful screams.
At one point, one of her viewers called in and attempted to convince the lady to help the victim who could be heard crying and yelling “stop raping me.” But she still didn’t make any attempt to help and continued to stream.

A Nigerian man from the Northern region who reportedly fired his plumber just for being yoruba, took to Twitter to advocate for less association between Northerners and Southerners.
He said that Southerners hate Northerners and don’t even hide it. He also said that Southerners also envy the privileges Northerners enjoy.
His tweet reads;
Those of you Arewa Twitter overloads retweeting tweets from these southern people, I hope you know you’re making them more popular? These people hate you, hate your way of living and envy your privileges. They don’t even hide their hatreds towards you.
Why must you associate yourselves with them? Unfollow them, draw a barrier between you and them. Our plumber is a Yoruba guy but i told him today that he won’t ever work for us. Yes it’s that personal. They’re loyal to you only when they’re benefiting from you.
Seeing the backlash his tweets caused, he deleted the tweets and revealed that he just wrote that to spite people ;
Mission accomplished. I made lot of you angry. I’d take the tweet down. This is to make you feel how we feel when you’re unfairly judged. We didn’t sack any plumber. All my tailors, except 1, are from the south in workshop. We aren’t tribalistic but you’re pushing us to the wall.

Nigerian singer L.A.X, in a exclusive interview with Star Tracker, speaks on his successes, recent projects, plans, hopes and more.
Read excerpts from the interview below;
What new projects are you working on at the moment?
Right now I’m working on my album. Last year I was working on it but I lost my hard drive on which I had close to 90 songs on. This happened early last year after I dropped ‘Run away’. I felt like there was a reason I lost those songs, so I focused on creating a new sound for myself. So when you hear my music now you will notice that the sound is different from what I had on ‘Caro’ or ‘Ginger’. It’s now a different vibe all together. I just felt like that is the direction God wants me to go. Right now my album is on the way and it will be ready before the end of the year.
Where do you see yourself in the next one year?
I will be as big as Wizkid and Davido, even bigger than them. There’s nobody that can’t be. I let my music speak for me, I have sat with people that won’t lie to me, people that are bigger than me and when they listen to my songs it’s the same feedback.
Months after the split of the duo Psquare, Peter one half of the group explains that it was the disrespect directed towards himself and his family that pushed him to quit.
Peter Okoye, now known as Mr P, says his brother Paul would insult his wife and kids and expect a Psquare performance moments later.
Peter married Lola Omotayo-Okoye in 2015 and they have two children named Cameron and Aliona.
“In life what we call family value is important,” said the ‘Ebeano’ singer said on Citizen TV in Kenya.
“The fans want Psquare but how many times do you want Psquare to come back and break up.
“We’ve broken up three times and the same issue is still there. So if Psquare is going to come back we need to settle that issue. Psquare might come back, they might not come back.
Peter said he must put his wife and children first because of the vow he made on his wedding day.
“I pulled out the plug because I felt the disrespect coming from my family (was) getting too much,” he said.
“There’s something we call marginalisation. Don’t ever be a slave because you want to be family.
“Psquare can only come back if the respect comes 100 percent.
“I don’t disrespect my brother’s wife neither, his family but he does that to me all the time. He’ll insult me and my family in public, on Instagram, and the next minute he’ll wait for me backstage for us to perform together.
“I can’t do that. One thing is for sure, I took a vow to protect my wife and kids the day I got married and I stick to that.”

Veteran-retired Nollywood actress, Regina Askia and her beautiful daughter, Stephanie Hornecker were both pictured together with the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi at a recent event in US.
Chief Superintendent of Police and Police Public Relations Officer, Zone 2, comprising Ogun and Lagos State, Ifedolapo Badmus has opened up on the outcry against SARS revealing the outcry is over-hyped on social media.
Read excerpts from her interview with Vanguard below:
Well, the issue of this squad called Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, and its operational model has been over flooded basically on the social media platforms. The #EndSARS# started with a group of individuals that, due to their own personal experience or encounter with the operation, started the campaign. They propelled it with social media, escalating the whole issue negatively.
On their achievements
From the name, it is simple. Their duty is to combat violent crime in the society. So far, they are doing what is expected of them and also doing it well. They have been able to combat serious crimes. At least in the Lagos and Ogun State zone that I cover, there are notable incidents they successfully tackled. There’s this notorious criminal called TK in Lagos who terrorised banks and killed people around 2015 and thereabout. His reign of terror was very fierce.
The SARS unit was able to bring him down. Since then, bank robbery has reduced under SARS’ watchful eyes. Another one was the case of Evans the kidnapper and the kidnapping era. With all his sophisticated model of operation, SARS subdued him and others. Now, with all these laudable deeds by SARS, no one has come up to say, improve SARS and its personnel.
Nobody had also brought up #ThankyouSARS# campaign, but for a little blunder which we are also fighting to curtail within the organization, everyone is screaming ‘EndSARS.’ There are other crimes they are preventing from happening proactively. No one is talking about that. We are not saying that there are no issues within, but the truth is that social media users have over hyped the problem. All these are been addressed appropriately.
On the alarming number of SARS brutalisation reports..
We are aware that bad news sales faster than good news. People have been feigning SARS attack on the social media. I am a Zonal Public Relations Officer of the Force and I have noticed that people deforms information even when there is no confrontation at all. Most people somehow, do this to seek relevance on the social media. Even some celebrities are doing it.
The issue has spiraled to the other members of the Police Force: when a normal Policeman did anything uncalled for, they tag it SARS. This kind of act is sending a negative picture to the international community about Nigerian Police. We don’t have any other country other than Nigeria, and whatever we do reflects on us a people. The negative effects rub off on us too as Policemen.
When we are outside the country, they see us as corrupt officers due to social media postings. I have spoken to stakeholders in this #Endsars# campaign group, advising them that there are ways and manners the goal can be achieved without using social media platform to escalate the issue. SARS integrity has been projected in a negative form abroad, and even some people are afraid to visit home with the insinuation that SARS will attack them.
Former Big Brother Naija Housemates, Cee-C and Leo are said to be ‘dating’.. But these are just rumours, as neither of them have come out to either confirm or deny the rumours.
The duo apparently, had their first hosting duty together, and they looked absolutely stunning.
The lovely pair were the host of a beauty pageant event last night in Calabar. Lanre DaSilva Ajayi made Cee-C’s stunning dress.
Contrary to those claims, Melaye’s relatives and many senators have told SaharaReporters that he was never kidnapped but only staged a walk into a bush to avoid being charged before a Kogi High Court.
Although Dino Melaye, the senator representing Kogi West, resurfaced on Friday to claim he “spent 11 hours in the wilderness”, SaharaReporters can confirm that he was never kidnapped.
Melaye was scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday before the Magistrate court in Abuja for alleged gunrunning, but the trial could not hold due to the claims by Senator Ben Bruce, quoting Melaye’s brother, that he had been abducted by unknown gunmen.
On Friday, he wrote on Twitter: “I thank God once again for escaping another dangerous attack. I also thank Nigerians for their prayers and show of Love. Spent 11 hours in the wilderness traumatized but God preserved me. God is the best and in whom ONLY I trust. They will continue to try. WE SHALL OVERCOME!!!”
