The Nigerian Army has debunked claims on Social media that says the army will be totally withdrawing it’s troops from all roads in Aba and Umuahia.
In a statement released yesterday, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman who is the Director Army Public Relations, said the Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, while addressing newsmen in the state, said there would be gradual withdrawal and not the total withdrawal of troops.

The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to some stories in the media that it is withdrawing its troops from Exercise EGWU EKE II, crediting such information to Abia State Governor and the General Officer Commanding 82 Division Nigerian Army. This is not true. The Nigerian Army wishes to enjoin members of the public to disregards such rumors.
For the avoidance of doubt, the Abia State Governor in his speech stated that “there will be gradual withdrawal of soldiers on the streets of Aba and Umuahia from tomorrow”. This should not be misconstrued as withdrawing of troops earmarked for Exercise EGWU EKE II. The General Officer Commanding 82 Division has not said such thing.
Consequently, we wish to state that Exercise EGWU EKE II is commencing tomorrow as scheduled. Commanders have been instructed to ensure that all hands are on deck to commence the Exercise to its logical completion. We wish to state further that the successful completion of the exercise will dovetail into the various states security outfits till the end of this year.
Members of the public especially in the areas where the exercise will take place are please enjoined to go about their lawful businesses. We wish to also state that we would not allow any individual or group to jeopardize the conduct of the field training exercise through unlawful or criminal activities. Hoodlums and criminal elements are once again warned to be law abiding and not cause any breach of peace.
We hereby reiterate that our troops would conduct themselves in the best professional manner, abide by the Rules of Engagement and Code of Conduct in line with requirements of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

A 27-year-old Nigerian woman was fined RM1,500 (N120k when converted to Naira) in default of two months’ jail by the magistrate’s court in Kualar Lumpur for offering sex services to a policeman.
The woman identified as Aitimon Ruth Efe pleaded guilty when the charge was read to her before magistrate Mahyuddin Mohamed Som on Tuesday, September 12.
The mother of one was charged with soliciting for the purpose of prostitution by saying “Hey, brother… want sex with me? RM200” to corporal Mohamad Musa Mohamad Kadam in Bukit Bintang on Sept 6.
The offence falls under Section 377B of the Penal Code, which carries maximum one years’ jail, or a fine, or both, upon conviction.
Deputy public prosecutor Nur Farah Adilah Noordin urged that an apt punishment be handed down to the accused. However, Aitimon’s lawyer, Norizan Yaacob, pleaded for a lenient sentence, saying this was her client’s first offence.

The Nigerian currency, naira, lost N2 to the dollar at the parallel market on Thursday, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports. It exchanged for N369 to the dollar, weaker than N367 posted on Wednesday, while the Pound Sterling and the Euro closed to the naira at N478 and N437, respectively.
At the Bureau De Change (BDC), the naira was sold at N363 to the dollar, while the Pound Sterling and the Euro closed at N478 and N437, respectively.
Trading at the investors’ window saw the naira closing at N360.50 to the dollar, while it exchanged at N306 to the dollar at the CBN window. Traders said demand for dollar far outstripped supply as usual.
NAN reports that the naira had been battling to remain stable at N365 to the dollar before the forces of demand anther. Some financial analysts had on Tuesday argued that the naira, at N360 to the dollar, was undervalued.
In spite of over 3.6 billion dollars injected to the foreign exchange market by the CBN since February, the naira rate was still struggling to be stable.

Operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Lagos State Police Command, have arrested an Alsatian dog named Bullet, for alleged robbery in the Ladipo, Oshodi area of the state.
The state Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, during a parade of the dog at the command headquarters in Ikeja on Thursday, said two other robbery suspects, Odunade Olajide and Adeniyi Adisa, sent the dog after their victims.
He explained that in fear, their targets would surrender their belongings.
The CP said after dispossessing the victims of cash and other valuables, the suspects would speed away with the dog on a motorcycle.
He said the men, however, met their Waterloo while attempting to rob a lady of her valuables in Ladipo, as the victim raised the alarm and the suspects were apprehended by the police.
Imohimi noted that their operational motorcycle was also recovered.
He said, “On September 5, 2017, two local criminals, who specialised in robbing people by sending a dog to attack them, were arrested. The suspects would command the Alsatian dog to attack a victim. The dog, in response to the command, would pounce on the person. Gripped with fear, the person would hand over all his belonging to the gang.”
The CP explained that detectives had been on the trail of the suspects, but luck ran out on them last Thursday when they were arrested.
But the suspects denied the allegations, saying they had only gone to buy dog feed when the woman raised a false alarm.
Olajide said the woman eventually found her phone where she kept it, adding that by then it was late as SARS operatives had arrested them.

The EFCC, Lagos zonal office, has arrested eight suspected Internet fraudsters. The suspects are Samsonre: Olujobi, 28 (a.k.a Mau Rice, Melinda Mcginnis); Abraham Sunday ( a.k.a. Raymond Dodson) 32; Gabriel Ayo ( a.k.a. Robert Mcintosh, Donald Great) 25.
Others are Omotayo Raphael (a.k.a. Michael Black) 25; Semiu Sunday Olawale (a.k.a. J. Cabtree) 23; Dafe Onosigho (a.k.a. Johna Kurz ) 27; Ewiolo Elvis (a.k.a. Morgan Moore), 32 and Usiaka Louis (a. k.a. Anthony Parker, David Smart, Alfred Norman) 22.
They were arrested following intelligence report about their alleged involvement in some criminal activities.
The suspects who were arrested around the Egbeda and Agege areas of the state, were said to have defrauded their victims whom they connected with on some online dating sites, of huge sums of money in different currencies posing as Americans.
Evidence gotten from their emails contain account usernames and passwords of their victims who are mainly Americans. The scammers who are experts at stealing domain names of persons and organizations also use their victims as money moles to transfer monies between countries.
Actress and Singer, Selena Gomez, just underwent a kidney transplant, and she just took to Instagram to tell us of the struggle behind her smile.
She revealed that she had a kidney transplant this summer to help her battle Lupus. For this reason, she hasn’t been able to promote her new music. She went on to reveal that it was her friend who donated the kidney.

The burial which held at St James Anglican Church, Ologuneru, Ibadan, was attended by his close friends and family members who couldn’t hold back the tears as his body was lowered into the grave.
Hector is survived by his pregnant wife and daughter.
23-year-old Faith Ariwera Chuku who was was shot dead by unknown gunmen along Emohua-Elele-Ahoada Road, Rivers State, has been laid to rest on Saturday, September 10, in Port Harcourt cemetery after a funeral service at Living Hope Baptist Church, Elelenwo.
Faith was one of the hundreds of Rivers pupils sent abroad by the immediate past Chibuike Amaechi administration under the now rested Governor’s Special Overseas Scheme of the Rivers State Sustainable Dev.Agency(RSSDA) and returned to help her parents raise money to continue further after Governor Wike’s government allegedly announced a cancellation of all forms of Academic Scholarships in the State.
She made first class in Medicine from The University of Newcastle, UK and was on her way to Abuja in company of her mother to renew their UK visas when she was killed

Sir, the very sad news is that she was shot along the now infamous Emohua-Elele-Ahoada Road in Rivers State on her way to Abuja to new renew her visa for a possible return to the UK.
I also hear she’s the only daughter of her widowed mother(not so sure), who bore the difficult brunt of seeing her daughter through school after your government announced a cancellation of all forms of Academic Scholarships in the State. Reports say she had returned to help her family raise money with which to proceed to Medical school,sadly, her return has cost her life, what a loss His Excellency!

So, a beautiful Lady felt the need to have fun, so she played an epic prank on her parents, by telling them on whatsapp that she’s pregnant.
She reaveled to her father that he’d be a grandad soon, and he responded thus: “Wow I am very happy my dear. Granddad J”.
and The lady then asked her dad, if he wasn’t upset, he replied thus: “No. I love you deeply and if you happy then I am with you 100%. I will be happy to play with my grandchild while I still have energy.”
Going on to the mum was quite different, as her reaction was beyond the mood.
“You’re going to be a grandmother” wrote the lady to her mother on Whatsapp, and she responded with: “I’ll kill you”..
He mother then responded thus: “You don’t have a descent job and you want to have a child?”. Lol

Twitter user, Shar Lo was left in total shock over the reaction of her childhood friend after she broke the news of finding a new job to her.
