Kumawood star, Kwadwo Nkansah, affectionately called Lilwin has disclosed that he would have still been a ‘mortuary man’ if he hadn’t been an actor or musician.
He said prior to his current status, he worked as a mortuary attendant at the age of 21.
The comedian indicated that he would have been carrying dead bodies to earn income if he had not pursued his dream of acting and putting smiles on the faces of many in Ghanaian homes.
Speaking on Ultimate FM’s Brunch hosted by Naa Klordey Odonkor, the ‘I don’t think far’ hit maker indicated that though carrying dead bodies was a difficult task, he would wish to return to his former career.
‘About ten years ago, when the transport system in the country was terrible, especially at a small village called Kam 19, hardly would you see a vehicle plying on our road, the distance from the houses to the mortuary was far, so I was carrying dead bodies, those days I was charging GH¢20.00 per a body, it was very heavy but I needed the money so couldn’t resist the job.
I would have been carrying dead bodies now if not for my new job, I used to make Ghana-made sandals and shoes, if I stop both my musical and acting career, I would go back to my former self of making shoes or carrying dead bodies,’ he explained.
The CEO of ‘Boss Nation’ disclosed that he makes his own footwear, ‘Sometimes I make my own shoes and sandals’.
The talented actor advised the youth to live a healthy life style and desist from activities that would send them to their early graves.

Samsung has warned owners of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphone to stop using the device or exchange it urgently since it runs the risk of exploding.
The South Korean company recalled 2.5m phones last week following reports that some units had caught fire during or after charging. One six-year-old from New York was reportedly using a Galaxy Note 7 to watch videos on Saturday when it burst into flames, causing burns to his body.
His grandmother Linda Lewis told the New York Post: “He doesn’t want to see or go near any phones. He’s been crying to his mother.”
Samsung has said that battery problems are responsible for the explosions but that it cannot be sure at this stage which of the phones it has sold are affected.
In a statement the company introduced a product exchange program that allows all owners to trade their devices for a new one.
“We strongly advise all customers to use this exchange program because your safety is our top priority. Additional sales and shipments of the affected devices have been stopped, but if you already have a Galaxy Note 7, we strongly advise that you replace it.”
“Until a replacement device is provided, Samsung asks all customers with a Galaxy Note 7 smartphone to power down your device and return it to its place of purchase at your earliest opportunity,” the statement added.
Users who don’t follow Samsung’s recommendations may find their device, which only launched last month, remotely deactivated. Unconfirmed reports stemming from a Reddit thread have suggested that Samsung will brick affected Note 7s starting as soon as 30 September. Smartphones typically have a remote kill switch to deter would-be thieves.
As a safety measure, airlines across the US started to warn passengers to avoid switching on or charging their Note 7s during flights, in line with advice from the Federal Aviation Authority.
Customers can trade their Galaxy Note 7 for a new version of the smartphone that isn’t faulty or they can choose a different model of smartphone, including the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge, and receive a refund for the price difference between devices. To sweeten the inconvenience, Samsung is also issuing US customers with a $25 gift card.
The company’s share price has plummeted in response to the recall.

Dame Patience Jonathan, the wife of ex Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan, may lose to the Federal Government, a N10bn hotel allegedly belonging to her if she fails to explain how she came about some funds allegedly traced to her accounts.
An EFCC spoke to Punch yesterday:
“This is one of the questions she may have to answer as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission continues investigation into the $20m found in five accounts she has laid claim to.
The hotel, which is known as Aridolf Resort Wellness and Spa, Yenagoa, was inaugurated by Patience in April 2015, barely a month before the end of her husband’s tenure
According to a UK business newspaper, The Financial Times, the hotel, which has imported state-of-the-art furniture, can compete with other luxury hotels in developed countries.
The Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay, told the publication that the EFCC had the right to investigate anybody who was living above his or her means as he wondered how Patience, who was a civil servant and never held any government position, could have billions in her bank accounts. He said:
“The EFCC and ICPC Acts have provisions under which they can ask the court to freeze the account of a person if a person’s capacity to earn is below the amount of money that the person appears to have.
“If you are living a lavish lifestyle and it appears you don’t have the means to have acquired the property and the wealth you have, the EFCC is free to probe you.”
Dame Patience recently sued Skye Bank and the EFCC for freezing four company accounts which have a balance of $15m.
The former first lady also has another account with the title, ‘Patience Ibifaka Jonathan’ which has a balance of $5m. The account is, however, still active.

According to budding Ghanaian rapper, Lord Paper, he had an erection on set during the shoot of his erotic video for “Awurama” but didn’t penetrate the video vixen he featured.
The 3:47-minute video, which has gone viral on the internet and social media, was full on scenes in which the rapper was immersed in deep foreplay with a lady.
The foreplays ends in the two having a hot sexual encounter that was vividly portrayed in the video.
Lord Paper, real name, Michael Takyi-Frimpong, spoke to the Accra-based Onua FM on Thursday, 8 September and admitted that he had an erection during the shoot.
He, however, maintained that he didn’t proceed to engage in sexual intercourse with the video vixen.
“I wanted it to look real, like we were actually doing it [having sex]. I will be very honest, I had an erection but there was no penetration,” he admitted.
The rapper also used the medium to dispel rumor that the video vixen was his girlfriend. He clarified that he settled on her out of the three ladies who auditioned for the role because she possessed the natural looks he sought.
“She had this natural looks and stuff as compared to the other girls so I just had to make that decision,” he told Onua FM.
However, when asked whether he would marry the lady, he affirmatively responded, “Nana Yaa is a very pretty lady and I don’t see why I would say no to her if she agrees to marry me.”
It’s more than 20minutes, I’m still unable to put words together to begin this story. I will try keep it simple and necessarily detailed so everyone will understand the true picture of what happened, why against my belief that writing personal experiences on social media is immature, I had to still write mine. Let’s just say I’m not thinking right now, maybe I’m so upset but truth is, I need your advice.
I’m writing this thread seated at the back of a Hilux truck just outside our apartment. Yaa, that me in the picture. You see, today is EID and believe me I should be resting in the house since I’m not working today. Days like this only come by 6times in a whole year and more than anything, I would have loved resting than being out here.
It was yesterday evening, she called and said she her driver were headed to my office. She wanted to pick some stuffs around my office. Yaa, I forgot to say this is Saudi Arabia. If you know Saudi quite well, you will agree with me that a husband will definitely get exhausted running errands for his wife or the family. I was not in the mood for shopping but she wanted to shop. She got upset that I didn’t want to accompany her shopping.
She did her shopping alone and returned few minutes before I closed from work. We headed home. Unknown to me, I forgot my internet router in my office because I was rushing to get home and continue with my FIFA 16.
Her internet service expired some days back so we were using mine.
While playing game, she walked into the seating room and demanded for my router. Mine, not hers. With her tone and facial expression demanding the router, I didn’t respond because there was an indication that she was warming up for a quarrel. I wasn’t just in the mood. The thing is, she is very skilled in extending her anger phases. That is one thing I can’t understand till today. Believe me, it was not like this while we were dating. Sorry, I forgot to tell you I married my university girlfriend, she years my junior and the same department. Ya, I’m one of those guys that dated and planned for the future with their girls at the same time. God blessed that plan but at this point I don’t understand everything that has been happening for the past one year plus since we got married. She repeatedly demanded that I handed over my router to her but I was quiet. Meanwhile, it occurred to me that I forgot the router in my office the minute she first asked about it. Truth is, I actually needed to use the internet that night for my online FIFA.
After several times of asking for the router and no response from me, she took the TV remote and switched off the TV. She walked straight to the kitchen and hid the remote. I approached her in the kitchen and told her I was not ready for any kinda quarrel. We have had enough for the past one year of getting married. I then told her I forgot the router in my office, I didn’t have it. I guess she didn’t believe me, she never did. She told me to leave her alone. I returned back to the seating room with my heart beating fast. I knew she wanted a serious quarrel that night. After some minutes, I returned to the kitchen and requested for the remote. Then I figured out she hid it in her pant. Pretending I was passing by, I swiftly went for the remote from under her short gown and grabbed it. She didn’t expect I knew where she hid it. She followed me behind and ceased the game console, second indication she wanted me to react. I do have a problem with my temper just like every human, male or female. I have also learnt to deal with it by walking away at times I feel I was going to lose it. The same reason I’m outside at this time, 9:55 pm Saudi time. She knows I have fought hard to tame my temper issues but most times, she makes deliberate efforts to have me overreact to her nags and rants.
I watched her hide the console in her pant yet again. I shuddered in obvious fear because I knew what the woman wanted, a fight. Unable to deal with it,the intimidation and the shame, I went for the console and squeezed it out from her hand while she was trying to hold it tight. That was when the trouble then started. She wanted a buffer to help her spill everything she had nursed in her mind. “You are a violent person!! You can kill, idiot!! You were not shown love by your parents, that is why you will squeeze your wife’s hand to collect the console. They allowed you to grow up in the street without parental guidance and love.” Then it came….pwaaaaaaah!!! She spat on my face!!!!! God knows, I have never been spat at before, not by my parents, not by my siblings, not by anybody. ” I agree I was not shown love by my parents but your Dad is a coward for running away from your mother without being there for you guys when he needed to play his roles as a father. That explains the reason you are like this”, I said and walked back to the seating room.
I managed to play a few games which I lost mostly and then slept off around past 5am this morning. Around 3pm, I woke up and went to the office. Not like I had work but I needed to clear my head away from the house. If only there was alcohol in Saudi, I would have been somewhere in a hotel drinking away the shame. When I returned home by past 7pm, hungry and tired. I needed to continue my game but I could no longer find the game console and the TV remote. I asked for it and she ignored me. I managed to eat and then left the house to this truck.
You see, I love my wife more than anything, more than anyone. She is one person in the whole world I could go any length for. I love her, that was why I forgave her when she broke up with me after I left Nigeria for Saudi Arabia. She broke up with me few months after I came to Saudi and started dating another guy twice her age. She says she never expected I would come back to her after she left me but I did. I did because I saw a future with her, a future I imagined, believed in and worked towards its reality. Today we have gotten to a level where most people out there would want to be, our colleagues envy is because they believe we are privileged and blessed but what they don’t know is that in the truth, I have no peace. This marriage has become my legacy and my curse.
I want to send her back to Nigeria in few days time and I hope I’m not making a mistake!!! Spitting on my face, nah nah….am so fed up!!!!

I was having my lunch in a restaurant in Accra this afternoon, when A friend started a discussion of what some of our female Nigerian students in Ghana have turned themselves into.
I could not agree more. While the parents spend lots of money to ensure their daughters are comfortable and graduate with flying colours, their children have a different agenda.
There was this particular case of a young girl whose mother rented a 2-bedroom flat for her in Accra. My friend, said news just got to him this week, that this student slept with 5(five) guys at the same time and was still begging for more. She is always high on hard drugs. And, the mother, back in Nigeria will be boasting of her daughter, who is studying in Ghana. Oh, so pathetic.
Sadly to say, many of these young girls have become international prostitutes and seriously hooked on drugs. I mean what I am saying. And many people in Accra can bear me witness.
Some of the mushroom universities attended by the students lack hostel facilities and the students are forced to rent accomodation thereby according them too much privacy which they are not matured enough to handle.
This issues also involves our boys. Some have become drug addicts, school dropouts and they still collect school fees from their parents.
Parents need to pay regular unexpected visit to their children and monitor them via phone calls at odd hours to find out where they are and what they are up to. If you a parent, you must never cease to pray for your children. And, if you are not sure of child’s behaviour, keep him or her close to you.

The Peoples Democratic Party in it’s Eid-El-Kabir message to Nigerians, which was signed by its spokesperson, Dayo Adeyeye, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to stop blaming past governments and face governance squarely.
It reminded President Buhari and his party, the All Progressives Congress, that they were elected to better the lots of Nigeria and not to be blaming past governments every time.
He said,
“Mr. President in his Sallah message today, again blamed the present acute economic recession on the past administration and global economic downturn.
“Let Mr. President and his party, the APC, be reminded that it took a smart and experienced world-class Economic Team in the Year 2010 to lead Nigerians through a cushioned global financial meltdown and beyond.
“The ‘Change’ is really with them (APC) and their barrage of falsehood.
“They were elected to further better the lots of Nigerians, and not to dish out constant complaints on the situation which they mindlessly created not minding the attendant consequences of their actions on our collective destinies.”
Adeyeye advised all Nigerians especially, the political and ruling class in the country to emulate “Father Abraham for his willingness and total obedience to the will of God by agreeing to sacrifice his only son”.
He advocated for good governance, peaceful co-existence and urged Nigerians to make sacrifices for the greater good of the country.
He said,
“We want to use this opportunity once again to celebrate and felicitate with all our Muslim brothers and sisters in Nigeria and across the world on this occasion of Eid-El-Kabir as instituted by Allah through Prophet Ibrahim.
“We want to also urge Nigerians to use this period and pray for the recovery of our ailing economy, the unity and oneness of this country and continue making sacrifices for Nigeria to become great again.”
Four domestic servants, including a driver and a houseboy, whose names were used to open bank accounts for Mrs Dame Patience Jonathan, the wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan has been arrested by The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Sources within the anti-graft agency said on Sunday that the companies’ accounts were opened at Skye Bank.
The companies are Pluto Property and Investment Company Limited, Seagate Property Development and Investment Company Limited, Trans Ocean Property and Investment Company Limited and Globus Integrated Service Limited.
The four companies’ accounts, which have since been frozen by the EFCC, have a balance of about $15m while another account, which bears Patience Jonathan’s name, has $5m.
Mr. Sammie Somiari, who deposed to an affidavit on behalf of the ex-President’s wife, said the former First Lady was the owner of the money in the accounts.
She had revealed that she gave millions of dollars to the then Special Adviser to the President on Domestic Affairs, Waripamowei Dudafa, to open accounts for her.
Somiari, however, claimed that Dudafa opened five accounts for Patience and that only one of the accounts was in her name, while the other four were opened in the names of companies belonging to Dudafa.
A detective at the EFCC, however, revealed that Dudafa used his domestic servants’ names to open the four other accounts and then deposited the money into the accounts.
The operative added, “We were investigating Dudafa when we stumbled on those four companies’ domiciliary accounts opened at Skye Bank with a balance of about $15m. On further investigation, we were able to identify the directors of the companies.
“When we detained the directors, we found out that they were Dudafa’s domestic servants. One of them was a houseboy while another one was a driver. Their photographs were used in opening the accounts and their signatures were forged.
“We found out that these domestic servants were completely innocent because they had no access to the accounts. We have since released them. The sole signatory to the accounts was Patience Jonathan and she was issued with a special card, which is accepted worldwide. She has a separate account, which was opened in her name and has a balance of $5m.”
The detective said a lawyer, Amajuoyi Briggs, who allegedly helped Dudafa to perpetrate the fraud, would also be arraigned.
It was learnt that two Skye Bank executives, Demola Bolodeoku and Dipo Oshodi, who helped Dudafa to open the accounts on March 22, 2010, were also being investigated.
The detective added, “This is a clear case of fraud and there is no way the bank officials will say they did not know what was going on. They are under investigation and those found culpable will be arraigned.”
The EFCC operative said he could not immediately confirm if the transaction was reported to the Nigeria Financial Intelligence Unit.
He explained that the commission had discovered a trend which politicians used in laundering and concealing funds, saying it was becoming more rampant due to the operation of the Bank Verification Number which links all accounts owned by an individual.
He added, “What we have noticed is that in order to conceal funds, what politicians and top civil servants do is to open bank accounts in the name of family or friends and then make themselves the sole signatory to the account.
“Don’t forget that we traced about 17 bank accounts to the immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh (retd.).
“Often times, they do this in connivance with bank officials and that is why the EFCC Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, has said henceforth, whenever we are investigating a bank official, we will probe the entire bank as well because these officials usually act under the instruction of their superiors.”
Jonathan’s wife has, however, sued Skye Bank for freezing her bank accounts and giving the EFCC vital information about her finances.
She also wants the court to order Skye Bank to pay her damages in the sum of N200m for what she termed a violation of her right to own personal properties under Section 44 of the 1999 Constitution.
