21 Things Tiwa Savage said about TeeBillz Accusations

teetee

Tiwa Savage has addressed the shocking accusations leveled against her by (ex) husband Tunji ‘Teebillz’ Balogun.

Yesterday, Teebillz had taken to social media to level allegations of infidelity, neglect and passive torture from Tiwa Savage in their marriage.

He was later reported to have attempted suicide by jumping off the Lekki-Ikoyi bridge in Lagos.

The allegations brought on a lot of heat and discussions on social media, with many polarizing opinions being offered.

But in an exclusive interview with Azuka Ogujiuba, ThisDay Editor, which was obtained exclusively by Pulse TV, Tiwa Savage addressed the allegations, and made emotional revelations about her husband.
Read the edited quotes of her interview below.

1. When I woke up, I thought they found him dead. My first thought was that we need to find him, he is suicidal, and we need to make sure he is alive. I didn’t even know what he had said. Someone took my phone from me, they don’t want me to see what was said online. I was just sacred for his life.

2. At around 10 and 11, Banky W’s Mum and his family were praying, and we got the call that he was found in Lekki, and that he has been taken to Banky’s House.

3. For the past two months, TJ and I have not been together, it was something we were working through, but I knew this marriage would not work.

4. I haven’t spoke to TJ in about a week, and we were supposed to get some passports for my son. He was reading the messages and he wasn’t responding. I begged him to be friends, and let’s be good parents to Jamil. He didn’t respond.

5. I covered up for a lot of hurt in our relationship. Just before I went to Jamaica, I found out that I was pregnant. We were just trying to find out how we were going to manage another baby so soon. I got to London, on a 10-hour flight to shoot a video with Busy Signal (Reggae Artiste). While doing my makeup, I found out I was bleeding and I passed out. I was rushed to the hospital, and we were trying to call TJ to tell him what happened. While we were sleeping at two AM a number called him saved as Edible Catering….I checked his phone, and the number was asking him if she can come to his hotel. She responded that He (TJ) knocked her out last night, that he was a great night. I confronted him, and he said he took another woman to the hotel and said they were just chilling. This happened the period I was in Jamaica, and I was in the hospital. I sent TJ pictures, and he was busy with another woman. I was in ahospital and you couldn’t be bothered find out what happened to me. I packed my stuff, took my son and went to my friends house, her name is Tiwa also. I stayed the night, and she asked me for the next step, I told her I was done.

6. I covered up for so long because I wanted people to believe that TJ is the one that takes care of me, TJ is the head of the house…I wanted him to be the head of the house. I covered up so much.

7. TJ has not spent one Naira, I paid for hospital bills, his flight, his accommodation, we also went shopping for TJ so that he will have new things. His excuse was that Í don’t have money’. I had to pay for everything so that he can go out and hustle, and get the contracts. He didn’t have money for diapers, but he had money to have a bi-weekly haircut, had money to pay for his laundry, had money to take a woman to the hotel.

8. His cooking allegations is a lie. I am not going to say because of my career that I am not going to cook. I work long hours to put money in the house, I work to make sure that we have a roof over our house. I come back home really late, and when I make something for myself, I make some for TJ. I had to hire a cook to cook for me, him and the other people that live in the house, I don’t think that is wrong…Even if it is true, the things he puts me through will not even encourage me to ask him if he is hungry. He goes out and you come home at 7 in the morning, sometime 2pm. He comes back drunk, he comes back angry, and we don’t know what sort of mood he is in. Sometimes TJ will go out and he will not call, and he will not tell him. I am just sacred for his safety, I will be calling him frantically, to find out that he didn’t go and drink. I am even praying that he is with another woman, so that at least I know that he is alive. That’s not the person that I will ask if he has eaten.

9. When I sacked him as my manager – I will never discredit or take away that TJ worked hard, hustled and believed in me. But what I will say is that at one point….he is booking events and he will book shows. The first time I found out that there was foul play was when he booked me for a wedding in London. I have to be paid before I perform. I called one of the organisers, and said I have not been paid. He said that the show has been paid four months ago, he showed me the account were they paid him. TJ declared that the show was for 3M but they really paid 4.5M, out of the 3M he was still receiving the management fee 40%. He took money already, and collected his percentage, and he didn’t feel anything. He was stealing from his wife. I had to perform at the wedding for free. I do get to perform for free when he takes my money.

10. My mum is based in the UK, and when I had Jamil she moved back to Nigeria with us. My mother is not like that (witchcraft), she is a sweet lady, and she’s very British, she doesn’t judge, she is not hung up like that. A lot of times, my mom would say ‘Tiwa you are the wife, be patient, don’t curse don’t shout, build the home.’ She has been nothing but a great support for me. I would love for him to tell me if there is something my mother has done.

“TeeBillz is addicted to cocaine, he’s in serious debt” – Tiwa Savage Says

Teebillz-and-Tiwa-Savage

Tiwa Savage keeps spilling the beans on what led to a breakdown in their marriage.

The songstress in an exclusive interview obtained by Pulse yesterday, Thursday, April 28, 2016 revealed all the nitty-gritty going on in their home.

According to her, “I am dealing with infidelity, cocaine, bad debt and a husband jealous of his wife’s success.”

“I walked in on TJ taking cocaine in my house in 1004 (Victoria Island, Lagos). I didn’t even know he takes cocaine. I walked into the kitchen, and I saw him taking cocaine, so I screamed, and asked if that is cocaine. HE started screaming that ‘What am I doing down here, where is the cocaine?’ How can someone without money take cocaine? I called his parents and complained that I can deal with weed, but cocaine, no. So I am dealing with his alcohol problem, you come home late, infidelity, cocaine, bad debt, jealousy over my success.”

Speaking further on the allegations she revealed their marriage has been full of infidelity, mismanagement of funds and mental abuse.

She also said they’ve gotten help for the embattled artiste manager several times but he keeps backsliding.

Savage said, “He was getting help at one point when the whole cocaine thing came out. This has been happening for a long time. We get him help and he goes to see a doctor or a pastor, or a counsellor and he uses his own hands to ruin things again. If I didn’t care about him, I wouldn’t be covering up for a lot of things. I wouldn’t be searching for help for him. Even now I am still searching for a way to help him out of his debt.”

Also speaking about her mental abuse, she said, “Everyday all I hear from TJ is that ‘I created you, I took you from nothing, look at you now.”

“Before Marriage, I Didn’t know of TeeBillz 3rd child” – Tiwa Savage Reveals

Tiwa-Savage-interview-1 (1)

Tiwa Savage clearly has a lot to say concerning her failed marriage.

In an emotional interview exclusively obtained by Pulse, the singer says she never knew of his third child here in Nigeria.

According to her,

“Before marriage, I didn’t know of his third child in Nigeria. A lot of people warned me about him, but I am going to say I made a mistake. At the beginning everyone says you can’t leave the marriage because our culture frowns on it. I made a mistake, do I have to wait ten years, 15 years?

If I am not happy. And I was scared that if I ever find somebody else to marry me? That’s the misconceptions of our society. I don’t care if I ever get married again. I care about being happy for Jamil, I care about not walking on eggshells.

I do want a man that works, that will help me with my financial burden. He doesn’t have to be a millionaire or billionaire, but at least someone that helps, and won’t put me in more debt.”

Speaking more on her marriage troubles, she said,

“The marriage is finally over, it’s been over for a while, and I have covered up for a while. What happened was God-sent, and he made it easier for me to walk away with what he did on social media. He got so many people angrier, he pulled so many innocent people into this. Even his family. He made it easy for me to finally up and walk away.”

Paul Okoye To Entertainers: “Pray Against Ranting Spirit”

pauls

A few hours ago, Paul Okoye took to Instagram to dish unsolicited advise to fellow celebrities and entertainers.

“Please beware of these two evil spirits – the spirit of insecurity and ranting spirit,” he posted moments ago, and also added the caption, “word”.

The quote seemed to have been typed directly on a mobile device and was not attributed to any source, and so fans have assumed the words to be the P-Square star’s own words.

Although, it is unclear who Okoye is referring to, people are already making a few guesses based on recent events in Nigerian social media platforms.

Read his full note:

word

However, this is the first controversial comment the singer is making since he made peace with his brother, Peter Okoye. Recall that the P-Square family drama kept social media busy for weeks after Peter Okoye called out their elder brother Jude on social media. But they made peace and have since traveled to South Africa to shoot a new video.

And so, when Paul Okoye took to his page to make this statement, many people assumed he was referring to a more recent family drama involving Tiwa Savage and her husband.

Breaking: Oba of Benin is Dead

Benin-500x400

The Oba of Benin, Omo n’Oba Erediauwa Akpolokpolo I, has been reported dead.

The announcement was made a short while ago made the Iyase (Prime Minister) of Benin Kingdom, Sam Igbe, in an official statement from the palace.

“King has reunited with his Ancestors,” the statement by the Iyase read, after it was confirmed that Omo n ‘Oba had finally given in to a long-running battle with an unknown illness.

Oba Erediauwa, born in 1923, ascended the throne of his fathers in 1979 to become the 38th Oba of Benin, traditional ruler of the Edo people in Benin City.

Prior to his coronation as supreme ruler of Benin kingdom, he was addressed as Prince Solomon Akenzua, and took on the title Omo n’Oba n’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Erediauwa I after succeeding his father Oba Akenzua II, in a ceremony held in Benin city, on March 23, 1979.

He was said to have died in his palace.

“Buhari’s Reaction To Herdsmen Killings Disappointing” – Wole Soyinka.

Wole Soyinka

Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, has showed his disappointment at Head of States, President Muhammadu Buhari for his reaction to the increasing attacks and killings by herdsmen in several states in the country.

In an address to the National Conference on Culture and Tourism on Wednesday said he was shocked by the President’s claim that the attacks would soon be over, Punch reports.

He added that comments made by the President and the government fell short of expectation and did not provide any reassurance for Nigerians.

He said:

“When I read a short while ago, the Presidential assurance to this nation that the current homicidal escalation between the cattle prowlers and farming communities would soon be over, I felt mortified.
“He had the solution, he said. Cattle ranches were being set up, and in another 18 months, rustlings, destruction of livelihood and killings from herdsmen would be ‘a thing of the past’. Eighteen months, he assured the nation. I believe his Minister of Agriculture echoed that later, but with a less dispiriting time schema.
“Neither, however, could be considered a message of solace and reassurance for the ordinary Nigerian farmer and the lengthening cast of victims, much less to an intending tourist to the Forest Retreat of Tinana in the Rivers, the Ikogosi Springs or the Moslem architectural heritage of the ancient city of Kano. In any case, the external tourists have less hazardous options.”

The football running back for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League, Ezekiel Elliott had this outfit y’all are seeing worn at the night of Thursday’s NFL draft.

The NFL star is obviously seen rocking a crop-top dress shirt.

Would a typical Nigerian man rock this? The first man that will come to my mind is Denrele Edun.

Mother Recounts How Her Son Handled Kids Trying To Bully Him

0

A woman named Tabitha Boyce has recounted how her son, Jacob, handled some kids trying to bully him – in a post that has been shared over 10,000 times on Facebook.

According to her, they were both exiting the car after a long day at the track when some neighborhood kids started laughing and pointing at him. They were taunting him about his spandex track uniform. Rather than get into a fight, he replied them saying,

“This my track uniform and I’ve been at the track running all day, while you sleep and play I’m at work, which is where you need to be”

When another boy tried to insult him by saying he is probably a slow runner, her son Jacob went into the house and came out with just some of his medals.

According to Tabitha, the bullies’ eyes lit up in amazement, looked pretty surprised and they were speechless.

NYSC to Deploy Doctors, Pharmacists, Others to IDPs Camps

NYSC-doctors

Yola, April 28, 2016 (NAN) The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is to deploy medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other medical professionals to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps nationwide.

The Director General of NYSC, Brig-Gen. Sule Kazaure, made this known Thursday while flagging-off the NYSC intervention programme at Damare IDPs camp in Yola.

Kazaure said that the deployment of NYSC to the camps was part of the scheme’s contribution to government’s efforts in assisting the IDPs.

“This programme, which is designed to bring succour to the inmates in this centre, is also intended to compliment government’s efforts towards provision of the welfare needs of members of IDPs nationwide.

“The scheme, therefore, will deploy the services of corps professionals such as medical doctors, nurses, pharmacist, etc to the centre to assist Federal Government in the provision of medical and other sundry needs of the IDPs.

“Specifically corps members will be participating in medical outreaches, environmental sanitation, educational intervention and general awareness creation on healthy living,” he said.

Kazaure also said that the scheme would use the opportunity provided by the programme to distribute food items and other materials to the IDPs.

He said that the flag-off of the intervention programme was his major official assignment outside Abuja and this was an indication of the importance the NYSC attached to the plight of the IDPs.

Kazaure urged other wealthy Nigerians and corporate organisations to assist government in rehabilitating IDPs in the country.

He commended the military, NEMA, Red Cross, NGOs and various faith based organisations for their contributions to welfare of IDPs.

“I want to thank you all, especially, the corps members who despite all odds are currently serving in the state,” Kazaure said.

The leader of IDPs in Damare camp, Mallam Modu Gana, lauded the intervention programme of the NYSC which he said was timely.

Gov. Muhammadu Jibrilla of Adamawa and the State Coordinator of NEMA,Sa’ad Bello, also lauded NYSC for the gesture, which they said, reflected one of the objectives of the scheme.

Family Member Gives Latest Update on Tiwa Savage and Tunji Balogun Marital Drama

Tee-Billz-Tiwa

A very close source who spoke to Bellanaija has revealed that Tee Billz is “safe and with loved ones”.

When asked if Tee Billz’ Instagram account was hacked, the source confirmed that the Instagram messages were posted by Tee Billz though he is being advised to say it was a hack.

On whether this is a publicity stunt of some sort“definitely not” was the answer given.

On reports that Tee Billz attempted suicide this morning, the source declined to comment but told Bellanaija that “today has been a difficult and traumatic day for everyone. People should remember that there are children involved here and we should all be sensitive and supportive”

He added, their 2nd wedding anniversary was 2 days ago so it is an emotional time.

On how Tiwa Savage is coping, “pray for her like you would your sister in this situation”.

He ended by saying Tee Billz is “Safe and is surrounded by people who love him…Tunji is a great guy, he will overcome this”.

“Tiwa Savage Is The Real Victim Of Teebillz Rant. Has Anyone Asked If She’s OK?”

tss

”Hello,

I’m an avid reader of your blog and i just wanted to share my own 2cents on the Tiwa and teebillz matter so my fellow Nigerians can open their eyes on this fiasco.

First of all, i have learnt in life that things are not always what they seem like in the world of celebrities, that’s why it’s called “show” business, I have no doubt that teebillz was experiencing depression prior to his outburst, but his rant on IG is very typical of an insecure man that abuses his wife physically and emotionally, I am a married man myself and unfortunately I have been in the eye of the storm of other people’s abusive marriages; trying to be the peacemaker , from those experiences I have observed that it’s common for the man to be insecure and falsely accuse his wife of unproven infidelity , and to never accept responsibility for the failure of his marriage/life.

You will notice that teebillz never took any responsibility for his life; he blamed his father, his mother in law, Tiwa, don jazzy e.t.c. Tiwa savage’s career story is an experiment on if a woman can be successful in naija without her husband becoming jealous and insecure, you don’t marry a celebrity woman and be expecting her to cook for you or regularly ask you if you’ve eaten, how reasonable is that? the price of fame is that you don’t get to cling to a normal life like everyone else. How come the women that are married to celebrity men never complain about not always seeing their husbands or their constant infidelity?

It’s shocking that I was just watching Tiwa’s new video “if I start to talk” yesterday and I wondered about the imagery depicted in it; I thought she might be trying to share something about her experience with the world, but a lot of people missed it, there are subtle signs that she is being physically abused in her marriage.

Lastly if teebillz really wanted to commit suicide he wouldn’t be so “attention seeking “about it , the best way someone like him can destroy his successful wife is to cater to the emotions of Nigerians with the suicide claim ,why did he rant on IG first? Why did he not go to the bridge and silently jump? How did banky W know he was there?

Why did he not consider a more direct way of dying? (Run into a fast moving car).My people let us open our eyes and stand for justice, I don’t care much about Tiwa or teebillz but I know that this whole buhaha is a testament to the mentality of the typical Nigerian man”.

Photo: Man Stabs Girlfriend To Death in Ilorin For Refusing His Marriage Proposal

00

A man allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death in the Tanke area of Ilorin, Kwara state, on Monday, April 25, for refusing his marriage proposal.

It was gathered that the man, a franchise officer with one of the leading mobile telecommunication operators (MTN) in the area also stabbed his girlfriend’s mother when she tried to settle the issue between the two.

She sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital where she is receiving treatment.

THISDAY investigations revealed that the man is currently on the run.The spokesman of the Kwara state police Command, Mr. Ajayi Okasanmi who confirmed the incident said the has been declared wanted.

According to Leadership Newspaper, prior to the tragic incident, the deceased who had been in a relationship with the suspect for some time, insisted that she could not marry him.

“It was gathered that they went out on Sunday night and returned to the girl’s house at Tanke area of Ilorin where the mother had also come on a visit to her daughter. Early yesterday morning, the argument resurfaced with the girl still maintaining her position. The young man was said to have allegedly threatened to kill the lady if she refused his proposal.

It was at the height of the argument that the lady’s mother reportedly came out of her room with the intention of settling the dispute. The young man was said to have dashed to the kitchen where he allegedly brought out a knife with which he attacked the two women. But another version of the incident claimed that the young man, who is currently on the run, had first reported for duty at his office (a telecommunication firm) located along the University of Ilorin road before he told his colleagues he wanted to go and pick something at home.”

An eyewitness said that the deceased said to be in her early 39 was stabbed several times at the neck and around the back of the armpit. An autopsy will be conducted on her corpse by the UITH before a formal report will be filed.

Late Amaka Igwe: Daughter’s 2nd year tribute will probably make you cry

Late Amaka Igwe’s daughter, Ruby has paid tribute to her mother on her second year death anniversary.

The film-maker and Nollywood icon died on April 28, 2014 in Enugu, aged 51.

Read the second year tribute that will probably make you cry, as she gives details of how her plans were shredded when she lost her best friend two years ago and more…

AMAKA

Ground Zero +2
To God who made me I don’t know how it’s two years today.
Mummy, you’re still not back?
I’m sure my memory will ease me back to a semblance of normalcy, but it won’t ever get there. I relive every hour. From midnight, or just before, from nine pm on the 27th when we had that three-hour call that ended with deathbed type words and prophecies and affirmations from you that I thought nothing of…
…to 8am, when we started our average of 5-8 daily calls (sometimes email) procedure.

That three-hour call was our farewell song. I just didn’t know you were singing. You told me you loved me, and I felt it in every fibre of my being. You told me how proud you were of me.

You said you wouldn’t be there on my birthday. We talked about the future, and the future future, and unlike our usual co-daydreams you managed to keep the focus on me and erase yourself carefully out of it.

Eight (or so) brief good morning, this-is-what-I’m-up-to calls, all the way to 4pm, when (I think) the 5th or 6th call (who counts when you think they will always come), when you called to check in and make sure I was studying, and give me your location, make me feel jealous all over again because I was the minority, away at school while you were with Dad and the boys…

…And say goodbye for the very last time. It wasn’t even a proper goodbye. ‘I’ll call you back’. Na so.
My spirit knew there was something wrong when you didn’t call at 6pm. Or 8pm. So I call you, and you don’t pick up. To distract myself I launch into a long laugh/chat with a friend, and then panic at 9pm when I talk about you so I remember to call, and you still don’t pick up. More panic. Then I am called to be informed of a very out of the blue out of the way visit. And then I know. Without knowing.

I run with the think horses not zebras approach.
I decide your phone has been stolen, and the robber ate your sim card because he was hungry after executing the crime, or better yet was feeling guilty and decided to use the sim card as the bread component of communion, with freshly tapped palm wine as the other. I decide your battery melted in the hot Udi sun.

I decide you were busy, and would be calling any minute to apologize and pick up where we left off. I prepped my pretend anger voice. I denied what no one but my heart was telling me.

I held out for all kinds of hope. Prayed the craziest prayers. Bargained with God.

That you would wake me up in the morning before my alarm. I believed that so much it was hard getting to sleep that night, I was waiting for the morning to come. Then it was all laid out, and I couldn’t un-know. You were gone. You were gone. You were gone. And you won’t be calling me back.

They don’t have phones where you’ve gone.
Seeing your phone and all your belongings when I got back home infuriated me. Then humbled me. Do not store up earthly treasures… Priorities.

If anything, God should have allowed that phone follow you to heaven, with at least one Ankara outfit, your glasses, that drum, and your gold necklace that you wore forever. A heavenly starter pack, to ease you into your new and improved eternal life. Not so?

Ruby-Igwe (1)

Last year I wrote about everything that was supposed to be. I was still very angry at you. Today, I am not that far away from anger, just down the road. Maybe next year I’ll be on a different street.
Today is my Ground Zero Plus 2. 2 years ago today, the thing I feared the most happened to me. I lost my best friend; and I lost control. My plans were shredded. The floor vanished under me, and it started to simultaneously rain from the ceiling. I fell, and fell, and fell, and I reached my foundation.

I don’t have precise words for what I feel. It’s never not going to hurt. I miss your full-frontal, spontaneous, in-your-face, fierce love. Sometimes I forget that you are gone, I really do. I have happy moments, with friends and family, I achieve something, I’m surprised, and I receive something undeserved unexpectedly and I reason that I can’t be this happy if you are gone.

Then I look around for you to agree with me and my neck almost goes 360 because you are not here.
Purpose has however never been more important. I feel awake.

You leaving has unlocked latent places in me that I wish never had to exist and come to the fore, but I will make the most of. I feel deeper. I love the ones I love, much harder. I’m less scared, of speaking my mind. I don’t want to leave things left unsaid. I don’t want to leave my life half-lived.

I’m scared more, because I have to think of my future and my future future without you. I don’t quite yet know how to exist in a world that you aren’t in; new phases and whatnot. I feel sometimes like a toddler someone yanked out of her walker.

I can’t comprehend that I won’t see you see me graduate anymore, and become a Barrister, and write much more, and found things, and fulfill my destiny, and get married, have kids, and grand kids… So you mean you really won’t come back?

My imagination cushions the impact. I have you prepping Jesus for a close-up, shooting the trailer for His return, with angels at the monitor, Peter at the camera, Uncle Offor holding the boom and you in the director’s chair yelling, ‘Aaaction!’

I have you eyeing me when I’m about to say something silly or do something stupid, or when I refuse to eat humble pie and apologize for doing said silly thing. I have you belly laughing in unison, when something I know would make us laugh makes me laugh.

I have you, in a parallel planet, doing the Senior Status LLB like you said you would. I have you dabbing, and thanking God you don’t have to try and krump anymore. I have you virtually hugging me, tightly, bone crushingly; as if to pull all my scattered emotions back into order.

I have you in my heart, in a special chamber, helping my heart beat with your drum, your shorts, the vest and a huge smile.

I no longer think I have all the time in the world. But I’m still learning there’s a time for everything. I want to lean in so hard I’m half on the table. And if there’s no table I’m building one. Because life has never been shorter. And because I can.

I love you deep. I love you bottomless. I love you so much it scares me. You used to say you loved me enough for both of us, I didn’t get it. Now, wherever you are, whether you can or can’t love me back, I love you enough for the both of us too. Mamma mia. It’s my turn.

I didn’t know I would still be here, and still be me, but I am. I miss you without words, none are capable of articulating that emotion. Most times it makes me want to curl up in a ball, and not do anything at all. Sometimes, some days, that’s exactly what I do.

But In this weakness I am strong. And it is still well. Nothing else to say or do, but thank God, for my Ground Zero plus 2.’

tee

Okay, People…It is Real…The Tiwa Savage-TeeBillz Story is real! Tunji Balogun a.k.a. TeeBillz tried to commit suicide this morning.

Apparently, many of us thought he was just ranting and talking via his Instagram Page…Many thought his account was hacked! But nah! It wasn’t! Tiwa Savage’s Husband tried to commit suicide this morning by jumping off the Lekki- Ikoyi toll bridge and this is fact. LIB Reports.

According to an eye-witness named Chukwuma Ani, who witnessed the incident and was one of the men who pulled Teebillz off the bridge, he told LIB exclusively that around past 9 this morning while driving on the Lekki-Ikoyi toll bridge, a car hit his own from behind, damaging his car. He said he came out of the car and approached the driver of the vehicle that hit his.

He didn’t know who the man was (it was Teebillz) but he said he berated him for hitting his car and asked the man to come out and assess the damage caused to his car. The man looked at him and told him to leave…that he was there for a reason. That he was planning to commit suicide and Chukwuma Ani would hear about it later…

Not knowing who the guy was or understanding why he was talking suicide, Mr Ani said he kept insisting that the driver must come down from his car and see the damage he had caused to his car. He said he noticed alcohol on the floor of the driver’s car so thought the man was drunk. He said while shouting and berating the driver for hitting his car, the guy just suddenly drove his car with speed to the front.

Ani said he got into his own car and gave chase and was surprised to see the driver of the car parking his car in the middle of the bridge as other cars drove past. He said he parked in front of the driver and approached the man again, telling him that he couldn’t even apologize for hitting his car and was instead trying to drive off. He said as he was berating the man, he (Teebillz) got down from his car and walked to the bridge railing.

He said he stood there wondering what the driver was trying to do and it was at that point that two other cars approached them. He said as he was trying to figure out who the new comers were, Teebillz had moved to the bridge railing and was trying to jump. Mr. Ani said a light skinned guy came out from the first car and began running towards Teebillz screaming and that was when he realized what was going on..

“I thought I was watching a movie” Ani told LIB “the man held the railing and tried to jump over it and that was when the yellow man held him and started shouting for help. The two of them nearly fell into the water. I quickly joined the yellow man to pull the guy out and while we were struggling with him, one PSquare twin (Peter Okoye) and Banky W joined us to pull the man out ” Ani said

LIB called Peter Okoye to confirm he was there but he refused to say anything “Even if I was there, I can’t say anything about it” he said.

We hear Teebillz is doing okay now and is surrounded by family and friends. People need to take depression seriously in Nigeria – a lot of people are so depressed and struggling and don’t usually have anywhere to turn to for help. Let’s always lend a helping hand. Hope Teebillz gets better.
