Following the death of the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, James Ocholi, his wife and his son are also reported to have died from Sunday’s car accident on the Kaduna-Abuja highway.
Ocholi and his son are believed to have died instantly while his wife went into coma and later died at Doka hospital, Kaduna.
The Minister and his family were reported to be heading to Abuja from Kaduna.
Spokesperson of the Federal Roads Safety Corps, Bisi Kazeem, confirmed the accident, saying: “The minister and two other occupants died eventually, while four people were injured.”
A Twitter user who is a friend of the Ocholi family, revealed that she learned first-hand that the wife and second son of the Minister were indeed dead.
Gosh! Her mum was involved in the accident too and in coma right now. Please, a word of prayer for her speedy recovery ???
While we cannot confirm the marriage reports, we can indeed say that Funke Akindele and JJC have something going on between them, other than their work on the set of Jenifa Diaries.
The two lovebirds involved a public display of affection (PDA) and a subtle locking of fingers as they dashed out of the venue together.
The rumoured couple had earlier on, tried as much as possible to avoid each other on the red carpet as Funke Akindele made her entry, a good 30 minutes before JJC made it to the red carpet.
However, the pair couldn’t keep their plan air tight all night long… as they couldn’t wait to be in each other’s arms.
Together, they left the venue on a night where the Jenifa Diaries star was rewarded with Best actress in a comedy movie/series for her work in the hilarious movie.
I’m an ex-model and a beauty entrepreneur. I have a bachelor’s degree in Economics, a certificate in Business Accounting from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and an MSc in Finance.
I had a great childhood and I have a very loving family. As a child, I read a lot of books and I was also very sporty.
Modelling
A close friend, Isoken Ogiemwonyi, introduced me to modelling shortly after I earned my first degree and moved back to Lagos. I had always been told I could become a model because of my facial structure and height. She sent my photos to about five modelling agencies and they all agreed to meet with me.
That was how I ended up in Beth Model Management. I modelled full-time for about two years and I’m so proud of Nigerian models like Mayowa Nicholas. I think there are so many opportunities for Nigerian models because our fashion and beauty industries are growing rapidly.
We definitely have some of the best models in the world here in Nigeria, and hopefully the world will get to see more of us very soon.
Passion
Although I have a background in Finance, I love beauty and fashion. Nevertheless, deep down I’m a geek and I love numbers. I think having a degree in Finance is useful in every facet of life- from beauty to fashion to sports to even pharmacy.
When I was much younger, I dreamt of becoming a doctor and living in America but that clearly didn’t happen. Most of all, I wanted to be happy and settled. Thankfully, I’m currently living my dreams.
Inspiration
I have a lot of women who inspire me and they include my mother Chinelo Chukwueke, because she is the kindest, strongest and most beautiful woman in the world.
Tara Fela-Durotoye, because she has changed the landscape of the Nigerian beauty industry forever and Isoken Ogiemwonyi, because she has a fine mind.
Projects
I currently own and run a beauty website which is an insider’s guide to beauty secrets. I am also collaborating with a brand to release a limited edition range of bath and body products.
I’m also working on developing a beauty app with my business partner. Hopefully, it will be launched by the end of the second quarter of this year.
Marriage
A mutual friend introduced my husband-Naeto C, and I to each other in July 2010. It definitely took a while for us to get used to each other, especially as I was only 22 when we met. But my hubby made it a seamless process for me because he is a very down-to-earth person.
Pressure
Sometimes I feel the pressure that comes with being married to a celebrity. Most times, I don’t allow the pressure get to me. I’m very comfortable with who I am and I don’t live my life in other to get the approval of others. If I feel like dressing up, I go all the way, but if I don’t- then I just don’t and I’m fine with it.
Personality
I’m fun-loving person , open and very friendly. My international style icons are Miranda Kerr, Kendall Jenner and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley because I love their casual chic ‘model off duty’ style. My Nigerian style icons are Lisa Folawiyo, Karen Koshoni, Funke Fowler and my sister in- law, Fifi Umenyiora.
Beauty secrets
I have a somewhat clean diet and also try to avoid eating carbohydrates.I also have a disciplined workout schedule. In terms of fitness, I love high intensity interval trainings, and I do that five to six times a week.
Style
I would describe my style as casual chic.I would never be caught dead wearing polo-style shirts. I would only wear it to support a cause or an event but in my everyday life, I would never ever wear one.
Faux pas
Some years ago, I wore only flats irrespective of the event. Be it a wedding or a red -carpet event, I would only wear comfortable flats and it is a terrible faux pas.

Ex bread seller turned model, Olajumoke Orisaguna looks gorgeous in an african prints choker dress as she modeled for Divine Endowments clothing store.
Thank you for all your effort at containing the corruption in Nigeria however unpopular. Nigerians elected you through serious acrimony , loosing several lives and facing deadly unrest but they chose you. Though you are from the North of OUR country you are president of all. How is it that violence and deaths still hold sway? My hope and prayer was that on your ascension you would deploy our military with fiat and alacrity armed to the teeth and silence or at least contain Boko Haram.
My prayer was that as a seasoned General you would not only flush out king pins and barons but retrieve the loot as you napped them one after the other but we see them working for you. Is this the change you promised us Mr President? Maybe I don’t fully understand how these things work but I know one truth “Women with babies on their back should not be slaughtered in their farms while out there striving to make ends meet”. They say you did not send a condolence message to comfort the families but rather you are requesting for cattle routes for the herds men? There is fighting in Lagos and vicinities? Kidnappers are even negotiating exchange rates, hiking ransoms and collecting change over the victims, little girls are being kidnapped from southern states and sold off in marriage to old men off north? Is it okay to encourage pedophilia in the name of tradition? My president, I am not only sorely pained, disappointed and ashamed, I am almost regretful of ever encouraging Nigerians to embrace you . Reason says do not jump to quick conclusions but be rational in thought. We, concerned citizens of the diaspora are watching and praying for a swift arrest of this drift. When the citizenry loose trust and believe that their government has their interest at heart , anarchy is unleashed and we mark the beginning of a sorry end. Mr President, where is the change you promised?

Recall, earlier last week, reports swirled that technology giant Samsung was reportedly meeting with Jay Z to buy his Tidal music streaming service.
Samsung has since come out and said it won’t be happening.
via Variety:
“The rumor of Samsung acquiring Tidal is not true,” said Samsung spokesperson, breaking the company’s silence on the matter. This comes after months of reports about conversations between the two companies.
Rumors about Samsung looking to acquire Tidal were first fueled by Tidal owner Jay Z stopping by Samsung’s campus to meet with the company’s executives last October. The New York Postreported last month that the two parties had picked up talks again.
Jay Z acquired Tidal for $56 million a little over a year ago. The streaming service has been struggling with management and marketing issues following the acquisition; it appointed its third CEO in nine months in December, and fired its COO and CFO earlier this month.
However, in recent months, Tidal has seen solid growth, thanks to a number of high-profile exclusives. Most recently, Kanye West released his new album “The Life of Pablo” exclusively on the service. And in January, Tidal released Rihanna’s “Anti” album days before other services, which led to 1 million users signing up for a trial of the service. Samsung participated in that promotion, leading many to suspect that bigger things were coming for the two companies.
Samsung itself has been struggling for some time to build a music offering that could compete with the likes of Apple Music and Spotify. Two years ago, Samsung launched a Pandora-like streaming service dubbed Milk Music exclusively to users of its devices. But now, all signs point to Milk Music being shuttered in the coming weeks, as Variety reported earlier Friday.
Khloe Kardashian has defended her brother-in-law Kanye West‘s recent Twitter outbursts.
In the past few weeks Kanye has claimed he has debts of $53 million, said he made Taylor Swift famous and hit out at music producer Bob Ezrin, Wiz Khalifa and Deadman5 – but Khloe has praised her brother-in-law for ‘owning who he is’.
She told NYLON magazine: ‘Is he like wild and out there? Yeah, but I respect him for that. I like anybody who owns who they are. And, just like no qualms about it. That’s what I love.’
However, Khloe hinted that her mother Kris Jenner doesn’t feel the same way, explaining: ‘I’m sure she’s probably like ‘Ugh, what the f**k going on?’ I’m sure she’d say the same thing about all of us like, ‘Shut the f**k up.’
Meanwhile, Khloe praised her sisters, Kim Kardashian West, Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall and Kylie Jenner, with keeping her grounded.
She said: ‘If one of us is maybe too full of ourselves that day, that’s what your family’s for, to bring you back down and to burst that bubble for you.’
And Khloe believes it is their close bonds which have kept the siblings from going off the rails like other celebrities such as Amanda Bynes.
She said: ‘Oh god, I don’t know how we would do it without our family.
‘I see there’s a lot of celebrities and, you know, people say they’re having a breakdown and this or that…
‘Like the Britney Spears’ of the world who that’s – well she had a sister but – like Amanda Bynes, who was one person, like that’s really hard, that amount of pressure and just scrutiny on one person where no one else really understands their journey.’
Davido who recently returned to Lagos and signed a new artiste – Mayokun , someone he met on instagram has fans coming around to get “favours” from him.
The singer shared a snap showing some young boys who seemed like they wanted money from him or probably wanted him to sign them. The singer said “oya sing like say I go sign you” in the snap he shared.
Few days after signing an endorsement deal with Techno Mobile, Fuji Music star, Sulaimon Alao Malaika has settled down in Toronto, Canada for his Canada Musical Tour.

It is not news that Nigerian celebrity travel a lot.
While most of them have a busy itinerary, some of them have a super busy one. 36NG takes a look at celebrities that have been to more countries than their counterpart, or better still, celebrities that are rarely in Nigeria.
1. DBanj
Name a country you have been to and D’Banj has probably been there.
The well traveled star has an international appear that most Nigerian celebrities can’t boast of. It is no surprise he was chosen as the host of Lip Sync Africa.
D’Banj is undoubtedly Nigeria’s most traveled celebrity.
Believe me, we do love it when we see our Nigerian Celebrities step out in style and sometimes rock style even more way better that their counterparts abroad.
Yesterday, the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, ended the days long activities marking the 74th birthday of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, a ceremony which also coincided with the church’s 30th anniversary.
At the ministers’ conference that preceded the celebrations, Pastor Adeboye surprised ambitious ministers who have long been waiting for him to step down so they can take over when he said “there is no death in my eyes at all.” The revered pastor then advised those who are impatient to kindly leave the church.
Some ministers had campaigned that he resign when he turned 70, Vanguard reports, adding that his food was once poisoned for this and a minister even used juju on the famous General Overseer. But at 74, Adeboye says he is not stepping down anytime soon.
“Anybody who wants to go in anger in future, is hereby advised to leave now because you may not like the one who would succeed me and if you wait till then to leave, it may adversely affect your destiny then,” Pastor Adeboye told the ministers.
On claims by some ministers that it was the church’s constitution for ministers to step down once they turn 70, the church denied this.
In his statement to the press, the Special Assistant to the General Overseer on Administration and Personnel, Pastor Johnson Odesola, said the critics were ignorant of the constitution.
“Whereas the constitution provided that the deputy and assistant general overseers are appointed to retire at 70 and enjoy their retirement benefits for life, there is no such provision for the general overseer,” Pastor Odesola said. “People have papers but they don’t read them. We have a compendium about the day to day running of the church but people just don’t read. The people who are agitating for the G.O.’s retirement because he is over 70 years are ignorant and the Bible says you don’t become foolish.”
The 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards held on Saturday, March 5, 2016, and Ghanaian star Yvonne Nelson was noticeably missing as well as a number of her recent movies from the nominee list including “If Tomorrow Never Comes”.

This attack on Toyin Aimakhus’ estranged husband Adeniyi Johnson is becoming incessant.
The Nollywood actor has been on the receiving sides of hoodlums. Under six months this will be the third time he will be attacked but this time around it is by enraged Hausa men.
Johnson who was on his way to the Redemption camp for the monthly Holy Ghost service from Ibadan on Friday, March 4 shared the news of his recent attack on his Instagram timeline.
He wrote that some Hausa guys attacked his car and other oncoming vehicles around Ogere axis of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
He was able to drive to safety but not with his car intact as the wind screen of his car was broken. Read his story below:
“That’s my windscreen mobbed on lagos-ibadan expressway around Ogere by some hausa guys putting big wood on the road and stoning cars with plastic and cans… if u ar plying that road pls be careful… Police please help restore sanity on the highway… However that can’t stop us from attending the monthly HolyGhost service at the Redeemed camp… last month was ARRESTING THE ARRESTERS…… this month’s theme is THE WINNING SIDE… leggoo… #Godblessourhustle #Godownsmylife #GODOVERALL…..”
