Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh has reportedly returned to his base in Belgium where he will continue to coach, after accusing his staff of witchcraft. – Vanguard Reports
Oliseh reportedly contracted a virus in one of his official assignments, which he allegedly blamed on occultic manipulations by his enemies.
He allegedly said there were attempts on his life and has vowed to flee far from the country to where they could not fly to attack him.
“He is always scared in camp and suspicious of even members of his back room staff”, a close source to the team informed.
The source said that the outspoken coach allegedly confronted his staff and warned them that there were many witches and wizards who were trying to undermine the success of the Eagles.
“He warned those fond of putting their hands in their pockets before shaking him to desist or keep their handshakes as he feared they touch objects concealed in their pockets before offering to shake him”, the source said.
Also, the coach alleged that many of the people surrounding him do not believe in the success of the team as he claimed that they don’t rejoice when the Eagles score goals.
Beyond the trivial accusations of witches and wizards, Sports Vanguard also gathered that the coach had written to the federation to pay his outstanding N10 million accommodation fee as agreed in his contract(N5 million for 2015 and another N5 million for 2016) if they want him to reside in Nigeria as he said he would not stay in the hotels when the Super Eagles are not in camp.
The police in Lagos have arrested a 17-year-old boy, Opeyemi Odujobi, for allegedly r*ping a schoolgirl, Sade (real names withheld) – a terrible act which has resulted in pregnancy.
Opeyemi allegedly r*ped the Junior Secondary School 3 pupil in September 2015 on Ayoola Street, in the Abule-Egba area of Lagos, where the duo lived.
Fifteen-year-old Sade told the police that she was asleep around 11pm in September when the suspect allegedly sneaked to her side and r*ped her.
It was gathered that Sade had lived with her grandfather, identified only as Richard, in the community for years while the suspect started living with Baba Richard about a year ago.
Opeyemi moved to Baba Richard’s residence after his parents reportedly had a disagreement, which severed their relationship.
She said, “One night I was sleeping when Opeyemi came to meet me and r*ped me. On that day, I saw bloodstain on my clothes and I felt pain in my body. I told my grandpa that I was not feeling good. He gave me medicine and I was alright. I did not know I was pregnant until I went to my father’s place. It was my stepmother who discovered the pregnancy.”
However, Opeyemi said it was the girl who seduced him, adding that he indulged in the act when he could no longer control himself.
He said, “The girl seduced me, but I initially resisted it. It came to a stage I could no longer hold it and we had s*x. I was afraid to report the issue, but it later led to pregnancy.”
The police, however, arraigned 17yrs old Opeyemi before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ogba on one count of r*pe.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge and elected summary trial.
The presiding magistrate granted him bail in the sum of N250,000, with two responsible sureties.
The case has been adjourned till March 2, 2016, for trial.
Telecommunication company, Etisalat Nigeria has sued MTN Nigeria and Visafone Ltd, challenging MTN’s use of the 800megahertz (MHZ) spectrum following the acquisition of Visafone.
MTN closed the deal acquiring Visafone in January this year.
A statement released by Etisalat says the suit was filed in order to prevent the use of the spectrum by MTN at this time, as it will entrench the dominance of MTN in the retail data services market.
The statement released by Etisalat’s Head of Media, Chineze Amanfo reads in part;
“You will recall that MTN Nigeria was declared dominant by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) in 2013 and remains dominant in the wholesale leased line and retail voice markets. The use of the 800MHz spectrum to deploy broadband services ahead of its competitors, particularly those who prior to MTNs purchase of Visafone, held similar spectrum bands as MTN, will further entrench MTN’s dominance in the Nigerian telecommunications sector”.
Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has alleged that his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi, spent the sum of one hundred and fifty million dollars ($150m) to finance the 2015 elections of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Daily Post reports that the Governor made the allegation while speaking at his special thanksgiving service. He claimed that Amaechi who was Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Organization, allegedly spent the huge sum between December 1 and 18, 2015 to sponsor the national election campaigns of APC.
He however vowed to recover monies belonging to the state. The governor is quoted as saying:
“Nothing is impossible with God. We won the election clearly as confirmed by the Supreme Court. If there was a rerun, I wouldn’t have contested because there would have been bloodbath. I resolved not to be part of anything that would bring bloodbath,” he said.
“I am the executive governor of Rivers State and a strong one for that matter. We will support INEC to conduct credible elections. However, any official who plans to rig will get the treatment reserved for armed robbers”, he said

Ghoste Magazine recently dropped a list of 8 talented Nigerian acts who upped their games last year and will most definitely be consistent this 2016.
The list include Mavin acts, Korede Bello and Reekado Banks as well as Adekunle Gold and Lil Kesh of YBNL while Simi is the only female singer who made the cut.
Others are Falz, Skales and Yung6ix.
Meet the Ghoste 8…
ADEKUNLE GOLD
Adekunle Gold has to be the biggest discovery in the Nigerian music industry for 2015. He snuck up on us with his audacious sound on ‘Sade’ and by the time he dropped ‘Orente’, he had us hooked. The YBNL act, recently dropped his 3rd single, ‘Pick Up’ and we are expecting a debut album in 2016 and an unplugged show.
FALZ
We love Falz, who doesn’t? Falz easily became one of the most sought after MCs in 2015 with songs like ‘Karishika’, ‘Clap’, ‘Celebrity Girlfriend’ and more off his sophomore album, ‘Stories That Touch’. The album has been mentioned as one of the best albums, released by a Nigerian artist in 2015 and we expect to see it bag nominations and awards this year. Popularly known for his funny yet dope lyrics, Falz earned the respect and love from fans and other music enthusiasts all through 2015, including notable endorsement deals.
KOREDE BELLO
This young Mavin superstar blew us away with a song that we daresay was the most viral tune of 2015, ‘Godwin’. He bagged enviable endorsements deals in 2015 and numerous accolades including the award for the Best Pop Single and nominations at the AFRIMMA and KORA awards to mention a few. The leader of the Bellovers clan, is already having a great 2016 as his most recent single ‘Romantic’ featuring Tiwa Savage is already being referred to as one of the biggest tunes of 2016.
LIL KESH
‘…every song was a hit, back to back…’ Lil’Kesh was such a thrill in 2015, with strong follow-ups to his monster hit ‘Shoki’, he dominated the airwaves and streets with catchy lyrics and beats. The YBNL MC had a great year, stayed off controversies, bagged notable nominations and performed at some of the biggest events around Nigeria. Ghoste anticipates more hit records and a debut album from Lil’Kesh in 2016.
REEKADO BANKS
Crowned ‘Next Rated’ at the 2015 Headies, Reekado Banks blazed a hot trail of 4 singles and over 5 hit collaborations in 2015, a very impressive record for a new artist. In 2015, he bagged an enviable ambassadorial role with a Nigerian telecoms company. Loved by Reek Addicts all over and with his 1st single of the year, ‘Oluwa Ni’ already climbing up charts, it is safe to say that Reekado Banks will be on our playlists all year
SIMI
If you haven’t heard Simi sing, where have you been? From her Restless EP, to her 1st official single ‘Tiff’ to her most prominent single, ‘Jamb Question’ and her most recent offering ‘Open & Close’, Simi has shown great prowess as a songwriter, vocalist and performer. In 2015, she was definitely the breakthrough female artist and in 2016, we expect more great music and maybe an album.
SKALES
One can arguably agree that Skales was the man of the year in 2015. Rising from a failed label contract, to owning one of the biggest hit songs in Africa, ‘Shake Body’ and a successful debut album release, Skales keeps proving why he deserves the ‘Man of the Year’ title. With over 5 singles and music videos ruling the airwaves to date, big music collaborations, performances in different countries and nominations at some of the most prestigious awards, a sophomore album in view, Skales is definitely one to look out for in 2016.
YUNG6IX
Yung 6ix went quiet for a bit but in 2015, he came back all grown up, with a trail of hot singles and collaborations, including ‘Blessings ft Oritsefemi’ and ‘For Example ft Stonebwoy’. We are excited about the consistency with his recent releases and his new brand direction. It is safe to expect hits from the South South MC, a sophomore album, nominations and maybe endorsements too.
Governor Fayose of Ekiti State, on Sunday, said the Presidency needs to be more open on President Muhammadu Buhari’s sudden vacation.
In a statement by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, the governor, who prayed for safe return of the President, said Nigeria needs to know the truth. Said
“Nigerians deserve to know the truth about their President because the President is an open book that every Nigerians should be free to read.”
Nigerians deserve to know where exactly their president is spending his vacation.” He“We were told last Tuesday, that Mr President was travelling to France and from there to London to attend the Syria Donor Conference, and that he would return to Nigeria this weekend.
“All of a sudden, we were told that the President was embarking on a five-day vacation. Where and why? We were not told.
“Curiously, it was at this same period, last year that President Buhari, who was at that time the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, disappeared from public, with lies told about him granting interviews in London.
“It is therefore important that in future, the presidency should be more explicit in communicating with Nigerians on issues regarding the President because a nation’s president is an open book that can be read by anyone.”

Njaga Chang, a Chinese man working at the Xin Quarry in Akamkpa Local Government Area of Cross Rivers state has been arrested for cutting off the fingers of his Nigerian colleague, 23-year-old Nisikak Tommy, because he failed to switch on the generator on time.
PUNCH reports that Chang attacked Tommy with a hose, before using a machet to slice off the boy’s right hand fingers when the boy tried to escape.
Eye witness, Ene Bassey, told PUNCH how it all happened. According to Bassey, Chang was upset by Tommy’s slow response and attacked him.
“Chang chased him with a machete. He first deflated the tyres of Tommy’s motorcycle to prevent him from fleeing and tried to cut his head,” Bassey said, “Instinctively, Tommy raised his hand to block the cut aimed at his head. In the process, the machete cut off one of his fingers. He was left in a pool of blood as he cried for help.”
“After the incident, owners of the Xin Xin Quarry, who also own two other quarries in Akamkpa known as Expanded and Fughou Quarries, rather than attend to the injured man, ferried the Chinese man to Calabar and had him hidden,” Bassey added.
“It was Tommy’s fellow Nigerian workers at the quarry that managed to take him for treatment at the Bakor Medical Centre in Calabar.”
PUNCH reports that Chang was arrested by the Akamkpa police but was later released on bail as the company settled with victim.

Nigeria’s national team, Super Eagles, are about to have a new baby! Today, footballer Uche Kalu and his fiancée Ada announced that they are expecting their first child.
The couple made headlines last year when Uche Kalu, who currently plays for PTT 1 Lig club Adanaspor in Turkey, proposed to his medical doctor girlfriend Ada in April 2016.
This will be the couple’s first child together, and though they are yet to announce the date they will be solemnizing their relationship, we guess it won’t be too long now.
The couple kicked off conversation this year after they went on vacation together in Mozambique. This happened after AKA made peace with DJ Zinhle.
Last week, following all the criticism their relationship has gotten, especially for AKA who has been dragged endlessly for breaking up with the mother of his child Dj Zinhle, the rapper was forced to respond to his critics.
“We have all moved on with our lives,” AKA tweeted, “It’s actually quite ridiculous how people are taking my separation with the mother of my child, worse than the mother of my child.”
We guess with their appearance yesterday, people will finally let them be.
Not The Politics kinda person, But I really love the way Ben Bruce and Rotimi Amaechi kept shading themselves! They should mention already!
So read what went down below:
Senator Ben Murray Bruce and Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi were involved in a twitter fight few hours ago.
Senator Bruce fired the first salvo towards Amaechi when he was apparently replying a jibe from bloggerJaphet Omojuwa. Omojuwa had tweeted that the senator should not be taken seriously for not criticising former president Goodluck Jonathan when he was in power.
The reason I will NEVER take people like Ben Bruce serious is because when they saw a leader (GEJ) do wrong, they kept quiet. Don't be Bruce
Then he fired another tweet, this time targeting Amaechi, who was alleged to have spent about N82 million on a dinner.
Rotimi Amaechi
The tweet was reference to a statement cerdited to President Muhammadu Buhari that Nigerians were not welcome in the United Kingdom because of the criminal activities some Nigerians engaged in over there.
Your own minister spent ₦80 million on a one day dinner, yet it is your citizens you accuse of being criminals #IAmANigerianNotACriminal
But Amaechi did not take the veiled reference to his alleged extravagant spending lying low.
He blasted the senator for not being bold enough to mention the name of the minister in his tweet.
“A coward who is not bold enough to name the minister that he alleged criminally spent N80M on dinner is unfit to sit in our senate chambers,” he tweeted.
A coward who is not bold enough to name the minister that he alleged criminally spent N80M on dinner is unfit to sit in our senate chambers
Bruce came back with another tweeting to mock the minister. He referred to the recent Supreme Court judgment that upheld the election of Nyesom Wike as governor. He said the judgement “Wike’d” Amaechi.
When you have been Wike'd, you become wicked! But you will always be my beloved brother, no matter how much you transfer the anger on me.
Amaechi responded with a tweet of his own, accusing the minister of being active only on Twitter and not on the floor of the Senate.
He tweeted, “I will not respond to innuendos. Be courageous, name the minister. We know you talk here & do ‘siddon’ look where you are elected to talk.”

Below is what TY Bello has to say about our favorite bread seller turned model.
“Aso kan na ni mo wo kiri Lana ‘.. Jumoke the ‘model’ the Internet had been searching for speaks almost no English.
She explained how she had worn the exact outfit in our photograph the day before and someone showed her her own photograph on his phone from face book. A mallam led her to my studio that morning.
She narrated her journey to Lagos …A hair stylist from Ire in Osun state but not making enough profit between she and her husband , a sliding door installer in from same village ,to care for their two young children.
At the invitation of a distant relative who knew someone operating a bakery , she relocated lagos with her 14 month old daughter to give bread hawking a try , leaving her husband and older 5 year old behind.
As I listened to her I wandered if the beauty I had seen on my screen as I edited my image was a fluke ..well until she smiled ., I realized that I was wrong ., I had in fact ,underestimated the beauty of this 27 year old woman.
As always ., it was her eyes and of course her perfectly chiseled features that jumped out at you when she chuckled .This lady belonged in front of my camera.
After a conversation with her husband telling him the story of our meeting I decided I was going to photograph her that very afternoon..Within an hour ..Bimpe Onakoya , one of Nigeria’s leading makeup artist and Zubby one of my favourite hairstylist were at my studio to work magic.
They had both followed the story online and were more than happy to put in their very best for her.Olajumoke .., with curly extensions out ,revealed a short natural Afro that beautifully hugged her face.@Bimpeonakoya also had decided to keep the make up minimal… She stepped in front of my camera and I almost couldn’t recognize her . She moved different too.
Jumoke looked straight into my lens emoting like she had done this all her life …. I knew we had found a star”
Since the news hit the media that Edo State youth have resolved to have one of their own to represent them in the upcoming governorship election in Edo State and have called on me to come and represent them, I have been inundated by calls, messages, volunteers making themselves freely available, and independently sponsored publicity all encouraging me to come out (since my party in their wisdom, have zoned the deputy governorship ticket to my senatorial district- Edo central) and answer this call to serve my land and my people.
However, in the midst of this gazillion support and encouragement, a few persons mostly out of concern have wondered audibly “why would a vibrant and young man border to waste his time and money in politics?”
In response to this and many other questions – some I have privately answer- and because of those who don’t have the privilege of access to me, I have decided to provide these public answers:
“Why waste time and resources in politics?”
The vastness of the REAL CHANGE that is needed in my State and the energy it requires is too huge for the shoulders of old men alone. Most civilized nations know this and it is reflected in the ageof those who now lead them.
If the youth does not have the audacity to step up and take their own responsibility, we will still be a third world 100 years from now.
Our problem as a nation is that we have been led by the DREAM of the old generation whereas the VISION of the young has been missing.
The VISION of how a state or a nation should be, lies with the youth and even the Bible clearly stated this – old men dream dreams, young me see vision.
I am persuaded that my time and in fact my life would have been well spent if I succeed in channeling a new VISION for my beloved state and that is why I term it the audacity of hope.
“Why will a husband of a beautiful and successful actress want to contest?”
(Laughed) I am grateful for the life and family God has given me. Grateful for who my wife is and grateful to God that we are going to have many beautiful years ahead together.
However, there are thousands of families out there where one square meal a day is a miracle. I have found out that no matter how much I and my wife give out, it is never just enough to cover everyone we would have loved to help.
This is one of the reasons I accepted the call to serve because I believed there must be a better way to reach everybody and help them to help themselves.
“A concerned family member is worried for my safety?”
Even outside of politics, life is a risk. Even in the United States you see how people die now and then from gun shots.
We cannot afford to continue living in fear and limit ourselves because of fear for our lives. Every time we step out of our homes, we take risk, politics is one of those risks as well.
“Another family friend is worried about the ‘insult’ I will get online and many are genuinely worried about what will happen if I don’t get my party’s nomination. And few of my wife’s online followers are concerned she might also be insulted or embarrassed?”
Greatness does not come without its own challenges. A child that is afraid to fall will never walk. Even my wife records the number of time she failed before the humble success she has now.
Those who care enough about pursuing their vision have no time to consider ‘insult’ from the many ‘anonymous’ who hide behind phone or computer screen.
My only question was whether it was a noble cause. And after consulting with wife (because she will be affected by my decision) and relevant stake holders, I decided to answer the call.
Mind you, my personal resources are like a drop in the ocean in attempt to set off some youth to stand on their own. We must now use our common wealth for our common good.
ON THE YOUTHS OF EDO STATE
The youth constitute about 70% of the population of my State. We cannot continue to disenfranchise such huge mass in the administration of our state.
The state belongs to them, virtually every political promise is made to the youth – jobs, economy revamp, education, etc., it is only logical to let them be a part of the class that will provide their own solution. You can’t claim to know how a shoe pitches when you are not in the shoe.
I clearly identify with the call of the youth to have one of their own to represent them. And I will be ceasing the initiative.
We have to put energy and life back to our party and tell the teaming youth of the state why they should follow us again. And let them know that in us they will have access to their leaders because one of them is there. And these and many more reasons are the substratum on which my ‘Audacity of Hope’ is founded.
REACHING ME
In a matter of days, we shall open up channels to reach me online, but for now I can be reached via my Facebook Page.
