On her Pampers deal with son Jamil: The Pampers deal came literally about a month and a half ago so it was after I had Jamil.
On how she felt at the news of being replaced while on maternity leave: I don’t think I was really bothered. I know how entertainment is and sometimes you need that kind of news so I didn’t take it personally and I wasn’t really moved by it because when you’re having a baby that’s one of the biggest joys that you can ever ever imagine.
On making a comeback after having a baby: My priority was just to make sure that I was healthy and that my baby was healthy and that we had a safe delivery. So at that time I was taking time away from music and I knew I had to take time off but my focus was really my baby…and I had worked while I was pregnant. I had recorded my album so I also knew that I had something when I was going to come back and I was going straight back into work. I also believed in the grace of God over my life and I guess that helped me.
She also shared 5 things people don’t know about her:
1. She doesn’t like wearing heels. She prefers flat shoes.
2. She can cook but doesn’t like to cook.
3. She prefers staying at home and just watching TV.
4. She drives sometimes and she drives very slow.
5. She loves bread.

Apparently, Wizkid Media Company reacts to news going round about his 2nd child with US Video Vixen – Binta in a press statement released to the media:
“Wizkid hasn’t confirmed any news about him having another child. We know he’s single and he’ll be releasing his EP next month.”
They also talked about Tania Omotayo in the whole drama, noting that the couple have actually been on a break the moment the baby with Diamond was conceived:
“Tania broke up with Wiz a while ago but both parties agreed to be friendly towards each other. Nonetheless, she kept her distance from him and missed a lot of his events and performances over the Christmas holidays. She went on vacation with her friends in Dubai during his industry night event. Wizkid was probably trying to win her back when he tweeted “T baby forever” sometime ago, perhaps he was trying to work things out.”
Wizkid has definitely been in the news a lot lately; from new music to feuding with Dammy Krane, being accused of song theft by Blackface Naija and now a new baby mama.

Mercy Johnson’s Husband Speaks On Running For Edo State Deputy Governorship Position
Below is the statement he released:
My attention has been drawn to various campaigns on-going online about the upcoming election in Edo State later this year.
The campaign mainly by young people (youths) and students from Edo State and my local government, is that I should vie for the position of Deputy Governor in the state.
This is based on the premise that since the party zoned deputy governorship slot to Edo Central where I am originally from, I should represent various interests in the area.
This is a gesture I appreciate; it is a good thing for people to recognise your good work and want you to serve especially when one has been supportive without being in government.
I want to make it clear that the position of deputy governorship is not a position one campaigns for, the party leaders alongside members chose who flies the party’s ticket alongside the governorship candidate.
However, I am available to serve in whatever capacity the party wants me to serve. I am a loyal party member.
Most importantly, the people of Edo State deserve much more than what they are getting from the present government.
Good governance is not what is seen on the pages of newspapers, good governance reflects in the lives of the governed.
People of Edo State can testify themselves if they have gotten the best from the present government. The people know they got the wrong end of the stick. Good governance is not PR, it is value-adding.
In whatever way things swing in Edo State, I am an interested stakeholder in the happenings in my state and a visionary individual who believes good leadership coupled with youthfulness can turn the whole of Nigeria and Edo State around without unnecessary noise.
I will continue to engage relevant stakeholders in Edo State regarding this matter.

Kenyan man weds his partner who waited for him all through his 27 years in prison
Last weekend, in Nakuru, Kenya, Charles Kinyua, who was released from prison a month ago, finally wedded his wife Josephine Wanjiru, in church.
She waited for him all through the 27 years he spent in prison, until he was included among the reformed convicts pardoned by President Uhuru in December.

Kinyua was sentenced to death in 1988 after he was found guilty of armed robbery and served time at the Kamti Maximum Prison. In 2013, he was declared a reformed man by Reverend Muthungu who also officiated the wedding.
“When we went to Kamti Maximum Prison, Mr Kinyua caught our attention by how organised he was,” Reverend Muthungu told the audience at the wedding ceremony. “He worked faithfully and was a leader of the other inmates and we did not have any doubt that he had transformed. He used to tell us on how he had lost hope of ever leaving the prison.”
Speaking with the press, Josephine Wanjiru said she always hoped that Kinyua would eventually be released, and then she narrated how difficult life had been living as a single mother and raising their two children.
“I prayed to God when it dawned on me that at my young age l was going to stay without my husband,” Wanjiru said, crying. “It is through God’s grace that l never got re-married. When he was arrested I saw darkness and I was still very young and I thought it was the end of the world. I contemplated committing suicide.”
“When our firstborn joined school, he had a difficult time when the teacher asked him to write the name of his parents,” she continued. “He later started questioning me on where his father was and I had to tell him. When I received news that he had been released from prison I fainted. When l gained consciousness, I spent two sleepless nights celebrating with my family.”
For Kinyua, he acquired skills and became an accomplished mechanic.

In a statement released by Iroko Tv, French media giantCANAL+, together with existing investor Kinnevik AB, are investing in addition to iROKO’s own cash flow to give the leading African tech & entertainment company the platform to scale its operations and expand aggressively across the continent.
iROKO will channel the investment into local content financing and production, as well as its product and engineering teams in Lagos and New York. The ambition is to produce at least 300 hours of original content in 2016, with the expectation of doubling that by 2018. This will enable the company to build on its already extensive catalogue, making it arguably one of the largest libraries of local African content.
The announcement also sees Jacques du Puy, President of Canal+ Overseas, join the iROKO board.
CEO and Co-founder of iROKO, Jason Njoku says: ‘With millions more Africans poised to come online via mobile in the coming years, our mission is to lead viewers to content they’ll love.This is something the vast majority of the continent struggles with today. We hope to bridge that divide, and this additional investment supports such a plan.
‘For us, there is no version of reality where the marriage between Africa’s most powerful communication tool (mobile) and the most prolific and loved entertainment provider (Nollywood) won’t be a joyous union.’
Mobile phone subscriptions in Africa are almost at 1 billion and by 2019, it is predicted that smartphone handsets, with which viewers can watch content, will make up 73% of the continent’s devices.
Njoku adds: ‘The challenges surrounding mobile TV in Africa are mighty, but not insurmountable. It’s human to be entertained and connect over community and we are obsessed with creating Africa’s largest community around local content. We have always been crazily bold in our ambitions to bring the content closer to viewers and build a truly frictionless and inclusive entertainment experience. Today’s news improves those odds.’
iROKO, has previously raised $25m from international investors, including Tiger Global, Kinnevik and RISE Capital. It also holds distribution deals with Canal+, BA, Emirates, Nollywood TV and Lebara and has two Linear TV channels on Africa’s Star Times.

Peter Okoye, one-half of the award winning pop duo, P-Square just renewed his solo deal with Olympic Milk.
Peter was initially unveiled as the face and brand ambassador of Olympic in October 2014.
Announcing the contract renewal that held today, Monday, January 25, 2016, Peter shared photos on Instagram with the caption,
