Delectable actress, Uche Jombo, who delivered a bouncing baby few months ago was named a goodwill ambassador of the National Open University earlier today.
A lady has claimed she was raped more than 43,000 times after becoming trapped in Mexico’s human trafficking industry.
Karla Jacinto estimates she was raped around 43,200 times after being forced to sleep with at least 30 men a day for the last four years.
She revealed she was first targeted at the age of 12 by a trafficker who prized her away from her dysfunctional family with gifts and money.
She was then taken to Guadalajara, one of Mexico’s biggest cities, and forced to work as a prostitute.
She told CNN:
“I started at 10am and finished at midnight. Some men would laugh at me because I was crying.”I had to close my eyes so that that I wouldn’t see what they were doing to me, so that I wouldn’t feel anything. He punched me with his fists, he kicked me, pulled my hair, spit at me in the face… he also burned me with the iron.”
She was rescued in 2008 as part of an anti-trafficking operation in Mexico City. Now aged 23, she is looking to raise awareness of Mexico’s human trafficking crisis – with an estimated 20,000 women believed to fall victim every year, according to International Organisation for Migration.

A miracle two-headed baby girl has been delivered in an extraordinary birth in Bangladesh, medical officials said.
The baby, who was born late yesterday, is now being treated for breathing difficulties after she was shifted to the intensive care unit of the country’s largest hospital in Dhaka.
Her father Jamal Mia, a farm labourer, described being “awestruck” when he first saw his new baby.
He told AFP:
“She has two fully developed heads. She is eating with two mouths and breathing with two noses,” he said.”Still, I thank Allah that she and the mother are now okay.”
Jamal added that he was concerned about how he would manage to care for the baby if extra expenses were needed.
“I feel sad for her. She has been born to a poor man. I don’t have money to even properly treat her mother,” he said.
Abu Kawsar, owner of the Standard Hospital of Total Healthcare where the baby was born, said initial tests showed she only has one set of vital organs.
“The entire town poured into the clinic. There were thousands of people with some of them coming from the nearby villages,” he said.
“It’s good that the baby has been shifted to Dhaka. Otherwise, it would have been difficult for us to control the crowd.”

“He must feel really good about that. I wish everybody well; when it comes to everybody else’s journey, as far as people that are trying to find themselves, this is a very fresh and new thing, so I think it’s important for me to let her tell her own story.”

Some accredited oil subsidy marketers on Thursday said the failure of Federal Government to release the approved N413 billion subsidy debt in order to avoid disrupting their fuel importation schedule.
The marketers made their feelings known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos. They said they were concerned that the money had not been released one week after the approval was granted.
The marketers alleged that the delay was affecting loading activities at depots and had led to the shutting down of some filling stations due to non-availability of petroleum products.
One marketer said:
“Government, through the Central Bank of Nigeria, has not released any subsidy claims as promised. As I am talking to you we have been directed by the CBN to go and meet the Debt Management Office for clarification.
“All our efforts to get the said money have been in vain and to start importing has been a serious problem. There is no money to back up the cheques presented to the marketers.“We do not even know the basis for the clarification of the cheques, but we are aware that there is no money in the account.
“It is like giving the marketers cheques only to discover that there was no money in the account.“Nothing like importing now because all marketers are angry because of the failed promised,”
The marketer said:
“If you go outside Lagos you know how much they are selling fuel per litre now, it is the last stock that we are selling now.
“It is unfortunate that the Department of Petroleum (DPR) is saying that we are hoarding the products, which is not the truth.“We have not collected a single coin from the money.
“If not the fact that some of the marketers are making some money from other products, how do you think we will be able to get anything for now?“We have been summoned by DPR for a meeting this morning to settle the crisis, we are only managing what we have in stock at present,” he said.
NAN recalls that the Federal Government, had on Nov. 3, approved the sum of N413 billion to petroleum products marketers as the outstanding payment for subsidy claims.

His name is Eric Mununuzi, a handcart pusher and an aspirant for a political sit in Uganda
According to him its his time to eat from the nations Treasury. What He wrote below;
“It is fare that everyone is given a chance to eat and I believe that my turn to eat has come. It is hypocritical to lie to the people that you are going to serve them yet your appetite is directed at the jumbo moneys that belong to Mwananchi. Most of these leaders are elected to positions pencil thin yet, after three months in office; their waists grow from 18 inches to 80 inches. Is this not hypocrisy? Instead of concentrating on national infrastructure, they concentrate on stomach infrastructure”
Nikki Samonas has expressed her disgust for financially-challenged men as a result of her life experience which has seen her take care of herself all her life.
She says because she is from a poor background and has had to hustle to cater for herself, dating poor men is not an option for her.
According to the actress, she is tired of working her ass out to take care of herself, hence wants any man who comes into her life to help relieve her of such burden.
“I have suffered in life, I mean I had to work to cater for my family and pay my school fees and so, I think it is time someone else takes that up. Someone should also take care of me so for me if you don’t have, money or are not financially independent, I cannot date you. It’s as simple as that,” she said in an interview with Delay on the Delay Show on Viasat 1.
“I have no problem with the poor neither am I saying I want someone who is extremely rich. No, all I am saying is, as a man, you should be okay in your pocket to help provide some of my needs,” she added.

A five-year-old Kenyan girl is fighting for her life at the Intensive Care Unit in Coast General Hospital, Mombasa, after some unknown criminals gang-raped and sodomised her for over four hours, reports Kenyan.Co.Ke.
The girl was defiled at the Kadongo slum in Mombasa, on the of Sunday, November 8, and has undergone an eight-hour reconstructive surgery to rectify her damaged internal organs which were ruptured following the ordeal she went through.
According to the girl’s father, the girl disappeared from home at around 8pm and efforts to trace her bore no fruit.
“I went to report at Nyali Police Station at around 11.30pm after realising my daughter was missing; but at around 12.30am, two of my neighbours brought her. She was soaked in blood and mud and when we looked at her, we realised that she had been raped and sodomised.
I don’t know who did this to my daughter. All I want to ask the police is to ensure the area is secure enough so that a similar action does not happen to another innocent child.
I also pray that a speedy investigation is conducted to apprehend the culprits,” the distraught father cried.

Ahead of today’s national conference of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), national working committee has dismissed the remarks attributed to the chairman of the conference planning committee, Dr Raymond Dokpesi.
Dokpesi had attributed the party’s dismal performance in the 2015 general elections to the fielding of Dr Goodluck Jonathan as sole presidential candidate.
Dokpesi had said:
“The party in 2010 and 2011 made the first round of mistake of not allowing the North to complete its term. That was when the party gave a special favour for the then President, who came to complete the term of Yar’Adua, to be allowed one term to finish.
But in his reaction yesterday, in Abuja, the national publicity secretary Olisa Metuh, told newsmen that the party chieftain could not speak for the party. Metuh said:
“That statement made by Chief Raymond Dokpesi is his personal opinion and does not represent in any way, an official position of the PDP.
In the first place, Dokpesi is not a member of the national executive of the PDP and he can only speak in his personal capacity; and his opinion remains personal and does not represent that of the party.
“The decision to field former President, Jonathan, in the 2015 presidential race was approved by the National Working Committee (NWC), the National Executive Council (NEC) and the party’s national caucus.
In addition, the constitution of party allows a sitting president chance to exercise his personal right to run for a second term, if he so desires.
“This is not the time for buck passing or blame game. We are repositioning our party. What we should do is to join hands to reposition PDP based on the report of the Senator Ike Ekwerenmadu committee, to reclaim the party’s lost glory.
This is what is expected of us all at this time.” Asked whether PDP regretted its action, Metuh stressed that the decision to field Jonathan was taken by all organs of the party.
“How can you regret a decision taken, where everyone was there – the NWC, NEC and the national caucus?
What are we talking about? Everybody was conscious of the decision. Nobody was coerced into supporting the position.”

A young but talented boy from Enugu state has constructed an aeroplane with the help of locally sourced materials.
Although the mini airplane has no engine, it looks like a real jet and even can contain two or three passengers.
See some photos of the amazing plane below:
However, while some people really admire such young talents, others expressed scepticism.
“Na wao… Can it fly? Cos aeroplane flies. Not putting metal together and giving it a shape of an aeroplane then bringing it to public viewing..When will Nigeria stop feeding on carcass of western worlds? Still kudos to the boy,” Amdoyin wrote.
“Great! Keep it up boy! If our country wants a future, they should pick boys like this and develop them immediately by sending them to abroad for further studies. This guy can begin building planes in the future for Nigerian Air plane Manufacturing Company N.A.M.C. I just coined that one!” Ideyontop noted.
“High time all these things are discouraged. No matter how hard they try, the art of aircraft manufacturing is not a one man thing, it requires high tech brains.”
“Maybe to join a toy-making company because that’s what I can see there. So many unknown people make toy cars, toy guns etc, so I don’t think this should be news. It’s not all about putting metals together and producing another toy; it’s about making something functional,” Jesumed wrote.

An 8-year-old boy is being charged with beating a 1-year-old girl to death while they were left home alone as their mothers went to a nightclub, Alabama police said Tuesday.
Birmingham police spokesman Sean Edwards said the boy beat and killed 1-year-old Kelci Lewis when she wouldn’t stop crying.
The mother of the toddler, 26-year-old Katerra Lewis, also is charged with manslaughter for her role in the death of her daughter.
“This is by far one of the saddest cases that I have witnessed and been a part of since I became a police officer,” Edwards said. “This type of irresponsibility on behalf of a parent is totally unacceptable,” he said.
Police said a murder warrant has been obtained for the boy who is now in the care of Alabama’s child welfare agency, the Department of Human Resources. His case will go through the family court system.
Edwards said the 8-year-old was the oldest of six children left alone as their mothers, Katerra Lewis and a friend, went to a nightclub on the night of Oct 11. The 8-year old is the son of Katerra Lewis’ friend. The friend has not been charged.
A 6-year-old who was in the home that night told police what happened, Edwards said, and the information was consistent with the toddler’s injuries.
Kelci Lewis suffered severe head trauma and major damage to her internal organs, police said.
Edwards said the 8-year-old is the youngest murder defendant he’s ever been aware of in the Birmingham area.
“I believe the 8 year-old is going to require some intense counseling for the next several years,” Edwards said.
He said the mother’s punishment is “something she has to live with for the rest of her life.”
Katerra Lewis has posted $15,000 bond.
Ahead of Wednesday’s (today) inauguration of 36 ministers-designate, there were indications on Tuesday that President Muhammadu Buhari, had reduced the number of federal ministries to 25 from about 29, Punch reports.
Under the new dispensation, the ministries of police affairs, aviation and special duties appear to have been scrapped while ministries of Lands, Housing, Urban Development and Works have been merged to become Ministry of Works and Housing.
Also, the information, culture, national orientation and tourism ministries have been collapsed into one Ministry of Information and Culture.
Also, the Ministries of Sports as well as Youth Development have also been merged to form Ministry of Sports and Youth Development. The Ministry of Aviation is now under the Ministry of Transportation, among other mergers.
The development came even as the President on Tuesday retired 17 permanent secretaries and announced the appointment of 18 new ones.
Indication that the President had settled for just 25 ministries was contained in the announcement of the appointment and deployment of permanent secretaries by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina.
A new study reveals that those who hadn’t been on Facebook for a week were more satisfied with their lives, with 88 per cent of them describing themselves as happy.
The research carried out by the Happiness Research Institute, involved a sample of 1,095 people who were divided into two groups, half of whom continued using Facebook while the others stopped.
“We focused on Facebook because it is the social media that most people use across age groups,” Meik Wiking, HRI’s chief executive told AFP Tuesday.
After a week, those people who hadn’t been on Facebook said they were more satisfied with their lives, with 88 per cent of them describing themselves as “happy” compared with 81 per cent from the second group.
At the end of the experiment, the abstainers reported having a richer social life and fewer difficulties in concentrating, while the others reported no such change.
“Instead of focusing on what we actually need, we have an unfortunate tendency to focus on what other people have,” In other words, Facebook users are 39 percent more likely to feel less happy than non-users.
