Reality TV star and entrepreneur, Tacha Akide, has reacted to the ongoing controversy surrounding Nigerian music superstar, Davido.

The singer has been trending on social media since an American lady, Anita Brown, claimed she is carrying his child. She also released receipts and shared a video of herself doing a pregnancy test online.

Barely 24 hours after Anita made the claim, another French woman, Ivanna Bay, came out to reveal she is also pregnant for the singer. She shared screenshots of her chats and a video recording of her call with the singer to back her claim.

Amid the controversy, Davido has refused to directly address the pregnancy allegations, and only took to his Instastory to promote his song “Unavailable”, which seems like a subtle jab at the women.

In response to the saga, Tacha has taken to Twitter to express her displeasure with the singer’s crew members for failing to put him in check.

According to her, they should have done better instead of allowing the singer indulge in sexual frivolities.

Reacting, a follower asked if Davido’s team members were supposed to hold his manhood and prevent him from sleeping with women.

Tacha, responding to the follower, asserted that his team should have monitored his social media pages and chats instead of letting him do whatever he wanted.

Nigerian student, Ifeanyichukwu Oseke, stabbed to death in Canada

A Nigerian student identified as Ifeanyichukwu Oseke has reportedly gotten into a brawl and was tragically stabbed on Sunday night at a Scarborough plaza in Canada.

The tragic occurrence occurred at Brimley Road and Eglinton Avenue East just after 7 o’clock in the evening, according to the Toronto Police.

“Information was received that two individuals had been fighting in the plaza. One of them had some serious injuries that required an emergency run to a local hospital,” said Toronto Police Service Duty Inspector Jeff Bangild at the scene Sunday night.

Unfortunately, one person has succumbed to their injuries. The victim in this matter has not yet been identified as the investigation is ongoing.”

According to a report by CP24, Ifeanyichukwu Oseke passed away en route to the hospital, and the event is now being regarded as a homicide,

The culprit was reportedly observed running away from the scene with another individual, but no descriptions have been provided by the police.

Due to the bustling nature of the plaza at the time of the event, investigators are pleading for any witnesses to come forward.

Police added, “It was very populated at the time, and we understand that there were a number of people who actually had seen this event,” adding that they believe it to be an isolated incident and that there is no danger to the public’s safety.

When questioned about the stabbing’s weapon, the police claimed that it seemed to be a “edged weapon” of some sort.

Businesses in the neighborhood are being urged by police to review their surveillance video first thing in the morning for anything that can help with the homicide inquiry.

Police have described the unidentified suspect as a male with medium-length dark hair who was wearing light-colored jeans, a tank top, and shoes.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers or the police in an anonymous manner.

A group of internet fraudsters, popularly known as Yahoo boys, has reportedly gifted an industrial generator to a church in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, as a token of appreciation.

According to a Twitter user, Chris Popoola, who revealed this on the platform, the boys gifted the church the generator for welcoming them and not condemning their activities, unlike other places of worship.

Chris mentioned that during his time as a student pastor at a church near the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho (LAUTECH), the senior pastor of his church frequently criticized the activities of Yahoo boys, which caused them to stop attending services.

He stated that the boys later left the church and joined another nearby church that welcomed them with open arms.

He further revealed that not long after, news spread that the Yahoo boys had collectively purchased a noiseless generating set, commonly known as a “Mikano gen,” as a gesture of appreciation for the church that accepted them without condemnation.

“When I was a student pastor in a church in the LAUTECH area, I remember how Yahoo boys stopped coming to our church and flocked to this other church because my senior pastor wouldn’t stop warning them.

Not long after, we heard that the Yahoo boys bought a Mikano gen for this other church. The point of my story is this: sinners know where to go when they want to hear the truth of God’s word, and they know where to go when they seek validation.

Drama as bride’s relative steals her dowry in Kano

There was mild drama during a recent marriage ceremony in Kano State when the bride’s relative, who was designated to give her hand in marriage (Waliyyi), was accused of stealing her dowry just before the wedding.

The incident reportedly took place in the Kurna area of Dala LGA in Kano State.

According to Daily Trust, the theft was discovered after a search was conducted on individuals in the vicinity, and the money was found inside the pocket of the Waliyyi.

A ‘Waliyyi’ is a man who represents the bride in marriage negotiations.

A resident, identified as Sunusi Dan Mamman, who witnessed the incident, recounted that the dowry was found in the pocket of the Waliyyi, who claimed to have no knowledge of how the money ended up there.

“During the search, the money was found inside the pocket of the Waliyyi, who said he didn’t know how it got there.”

“After finding the money, the Waliyyi was chased out of the mosque as he could no longer stand as the bride’s representative. His younger brother was then assigned to take his place, and the wedding proceeded,” he said.

Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, has responded to rapper Sarkodie’s claim that he asked her to keep the pregnancy after impregnating her.

You will recall that in her recently released memoir titled “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,” the 37-year-old actress stated that Sarkodie made her terminate a pregnancy.

According to her, Sarkodie impregnated her in 2010 but refused to take responsibility for their unborn child, leading her to have an abortion.

An excerpt from the book reads, “I wasn’t the only one responsible for the situation, so I called the man whose potent seed had germinated in me. His name is Michael Owusu Addo, a renowned Ghanaian musician who is better known as Sarkodie.”

However, in his latest single “Try Me [Raw]” released on Wednesday, Sarkodie countered Yvonne’s claims. He claimed that he asked Yvonne Nelson to keep the pregnancy even though he wasn’t ready to be a father, but she refused.

“I am not going to sit here and lie we had a thing, first I thought we were cool till I had a hint … You told me you were pregnant and I was the one to be blamed … yes I wasn’t ready but I told you to keep it and you explained that you have to complete your school”. he raps in the first verse of the song.

Yvonne has now responded to Sarkodie’s claim through a series of tweets on her official Twitter handle. She accused Sarkodie of using the song to dismiss the pain she went through.

Nigerian music producer, Solomon Oyeniyi, better known as K-Solo, has slammed those criticizing singer Davido for allegedly impregnating a US-based businesswoman, Anita Brown.

Taking to his Instastory to weigh into the controversy surrounding Davido and his alleged fifth babymama, K-Solo said people should leave Davido alone to spend his money as he pleases on any woman he chooses.

He asserted that society cannot demand that men strive for success and then dictate how they should spend their money.

According to him, Davido’s wife, Chioma clearly choose the kind of life she wanted when she married him so people should stop wailing on her behalf because she is not complaining.

He added that she should go and hustle and make her own money if she doesn’t want to continue being disrespected and cheated on by the singer, adding that being wealth is not gender-based.

Speaking further, K-Solo hailed the singer’s alleged pregnant side chick for allegedly owning a lamborghini and properties worth millions of dollars in the United States, and dared Chioma to disclose her own assets.

A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to reflect on her failed marriage on what would have been her first wedding anniversary.

The woman with TikTok handle @bolaghold got married to her husband on June 26 2022, but things took an unfortunate turn and she made the difficult decision to end the marriage after only three months.

She shared photos and videos from her wedding ceremony on June 26 2023, and stated that she blames herself for her marriage crash because she was not smart enough.

Though she did not share details of what transpired between her and her ex-husband, the woman appears to regret leaving the marriage.

She captioned the video, “Why did everything happen so fast? I curse 26th of June and blame myself for not being smart enough. It hurts my marriage didn’t last for 3 months”.

In a follow-up post, she revealed that being married turned her into a shadow of herself.

Nigerian singer and brother of late rapper Dagrin, Trod, has denied allegations of siphoning royalties from his brother’s music.

Popular Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has finally broken his silence on actress Yvonne Nelson’s claim that he made her terminate a pregnancy.

It will be recalled that the 37-year-old actress made this claim in her recently published memoir tiled “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson.”

She had claimed that Sarkodie impregnated her in 2010 and refused to take responsibility for their unborn child, which forced her to abort the pregnancy.

He also accused her of being a ‘hoe’ who slept with numerous men and sucked different dicks, and dared her to share her full story. He, however, prayed that she gets the healing she needs because she still seems hurt.
