A UK-based gay Nigerian man, identified as Tosin Ojutalayo, has officially tied the knot with his lover, Andrew Odong.

The couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony held at Castle Bay in Hyères, France.

Tosin took to Twitter on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, to share photos from their wedding and also revealed how they first met ten years ago.

He disclosed that their love story began a decade ago when Andrew first slid into his DM while he was in a relationship.

Tosin, who prides himself on being a faithful partner, said he immediately shut down the advances. However, fate had a different plan.

Two months later, they unexpectedly crossed paths at a dinner party, reigniting their connection.

Sharing their unique love story on the platform, he wrote, “He slid into my DMs while I was in a relationship, and I shut it down, of course, because #YorubaMenDontCheat. Then, 2 months later (now single), I walked into a dinner party, and he was there. 10 years later, we’re getting married in 2 weeks.”

In another post via his Twitter handle on Tuesday, May 23 he revealed that they are now married.

“Update: We got married,” he captioned their wedding photos.

A Nigerian clergyman, Iyke Ezekiel, and his wife, Doris Ezekiel, have welcomed a baby girl after 20 years of marriage.

Pastor Yinka Yusuf, the General Overseer of the Household of God Church in Lagos State, along with his wife, Rose Yusuf, shared the good news on Facebook.

They posted photos from the baby’s dedication ceremony, which took place on Sunday, May 21, 2023.

Pastor Yinka Yusuf wrote, “After 20 years of waiting, God blessed my beloved son, Pastor Iyke, the Pastor of our Abuja Household of Love Church, and his beautiful wife, Doris, with a wonderful baby. I was there in Abuja this morning to dedicate the baby. Miracles are forever, and you are next in line for a Miracle.”

His wife also expressed her joy for the couple in a Facebook post, saying, “What a joy as we dedicate our beautiful granddaughter, the daughter of our son and daughter-in-law, Pastor Iyke and Pastor Doris, after waiting for 20 years! Our God is a faithful God! Just because you haven’t testified doesn’t mean God has forgotten you. It simply means that God is on His way to you. Our God never fails! Miracles happen turn by turn. If your neighbor is rejoicing, rejoice with them because you are next in line for a miracle.”

A lady has taken to social media to express her disappointment in her partner after he bought her a phone that had a lower value than the one she had requested.

According to the lady, she had informed her boyfriend that she wanted a particular brand of phone which costs N345,000 for her birthday. However, he ended up buying a phone worth N120,000.

Upon receiving the phone and realizing it wasn’t what she had wanted, she said she was heartbroken because she knew her partner could afford the phone she asked for.

In an attempt to address the issue, she sent him a lengthy note expressing her disappointment. Unfortunately, he did not respond to any of her messages, leaving her feeling ignored and further hurt.

“I’m 24 years old and this is my first relationship, my guy is good and spends for me, but during my last birthday I told him I wanted a phone, the cost then was 345k, I knew he could afford it, it’s less than his salary of 400k in one month, but he got me a 120k phone. I felt heart broken, cheated, jilted, I felt I wasn’t wanted, I felt disrespected.

I sent him a long text and asked for a break, he didn’t even reply. It’s been 4 months now, I’ve written to him almost ten times since last week, called him but he keeps blocking my calls, I wanted to tell him I’ve forgiven him so we can move on. I love him so much, I miss him and it’s affecting my health. I didn’t do anything wrong in my opinion, what can I do to get him back please? I will also like people’s opinion.” She narrated.

Reality TV star, Leo Da Silva, has spoken out in defense of UK-based YouTuber, Emdee Tiamiyu, who is currently facing heavy backlash for his recent interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

During the interview, Emdee claimed that many Nigerians enter the UK under the guise of studying but actually have a hidden agenda to ‘japa’ and find better opportunities in the country.

He made this statement shortly before UK implemented a policy restricting foreign students from bringing their family members along for academic programs below the PhD level.

The interview didn’t go down well many Nigerians, who didn’t hesitate to drag him to filth for ‘exposing’ the well-kept secret of Nigerians. Some also opined that the video evidence will be used against Nigerians in the future and will make it difficult for Nigerians to migrate to the UK.

Reacting to the saga, former Big Brother Naija, Leo Da Silva, took to Twitter to defend Tiamiyu, arguing that it’s not his fault because UK would have implemented the policy with or without the interview.

He explained that he lived in the UK for 10 years and knows for a fact that UK authorities always clamp down on anything that will benefit other nationalities in the UK.

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has reacted to her colleague Adunni Ade being called out over an alleged debt of N250,000.

Adunni Ade made headlines a few days ago when some Islamic clerics, during the late Nollywood actor Murphy Afolabi’s firdau prayer, accused her of owing him N250,000.

According to the clerics, who claim to be members of Murphy’s burial committee, he had paid Adunni Ade the money for a role in his movie before his sudden passing.

However, Adunni Ade has now come forward to deny the allegations, stating that she had already refunded Murphy Afolabi’s money prior to his death.

Adunni explained that Murphy Afolabi had approached her for a job in 2021 and paid her the sum of N150,000. However, she was unable to proceed with the job due to the death of her brother.

She said that she requested his account number and promptly refunded the N150,000 when he attempted to make another agreement with her.

In response to the saga, Nkechi Blessing took to Adunni Ade’s comment section to express her support.

She noted that when someone becomes disliked in the movie industry, those in positions of power will go to great lengths to see them fall.

“If they don hate person for that their industry they will go to any length to see that person fall. Thank God say man no be God…. It’s well!”, she wrote.

A Nigerian businesswoman has claimed that the late Nollywood actor Murphy Afolabi owed her a huge sum of money before his sudden passing.

The woman made this claim during the Firdau Prayer held in honor of the late thespian on Monday, May 22nd, 2023, in Lagos State.

During the event, the woman stepped forward and informed the Islamic clerics that she had a N1.4 million business dealing with the actor before his death, which he had not yet paid.

When asked what she wanted them to do, she informed them that a committee is already working on recovering the owed funds from the deceased actor’s family.

Meanwhile, Nollywood actress, Adunni Ade has broken her silence after being publicly accused of owing her late colleague, Murphy Afolabi, N250,000.

It was earlier reported that the burial committee of the late Murphy Afolabi called out Adunni Ade over the alleged debt.

During the 8-day Firdau Prayer held in his honor, some Islamic clerics claiming to be members of the burial committee announced that Adunni Ade owed the deceased N250,000 and urged her to refund it.

They claimed that Murphy had sent the money to Adunni Ade as payment for a role in his upcoming movie before his sudden death.

Finally breaking her silence on the debt allegations through a statement issued by her team, Adunni Ade debunked the reports of being indebted to the late actor.

According to her, Murphy Afolabi had contacted her for a job in 2021 and had paid her the sum of N150,000.

However, she was unable to deliver the job due to the death of her brother and refunded the actor his money when he tried to make another agreement with her.

To support her claims, Adunni shared screenshots of her bank statement, which showed that she received N150,000 from Murphy in July 2021 and how she sent the money back to him in October 2021.

Nigerian YouTuber, Emdee Tiamiyu, has tendered an apology to Nigerians after getting dragged to filth over his recent interview with BBC News.

It was earlier reported that the UK-based Youtuber granted an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), where he claimed that Nigerians use MSc as a ploy to gain entry into the UK.

According to him, his countrymen are not genuinely interested in education or the certificate, and only want to relocate to the UK with their families.

“The student route is more like an answered prayer. It is a big bracket that’s able to take a lot of people, the ordinary people. We’re beginning to see that a lot of people just hide behind the studentship. So the student thing is not real, it’s not like they need the degrees,” he said.

The interview video went viral shortly after the UK Home Office placed a ban on foreign students pursuing less than a PhD degree from bringing dependents.

Emdee’s claims didn’t sit well with a lot of Nigerians and they bashed him for his unguarded remarks on an international platform.

Following the backlash, Emdee has publicly apologized to everyone offended by the claims he made in the interview. He said he decided to apologize after reflecting on his words.

According to him, he only agreed to the interview in order to highlight the frustrations of the Black community in the UK, and didn’t mean to taint the image of Nigerians.

She also shamed and ridiculed the babymama for having kids for a man she is not married to and can’t even visit his home.

A UK-based Nigerian Youtuber has come under heavy fire from fellow Nigerians on social media over his recent interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

The young man, identified as Emdee Tiamiyu in the interview, claimed that his countrymen are not genuinely interested in education or qualifications and that they only come to the UK to study as a means to relocate.

Emdee, who shares relocation tips on his YouTube channel, stated that many individuals who apply for schooling in the UK see it as a way to escape Nigeria, rather than a genuine pursuit of education.

“The student route is more like an answered prayer. It is a big bracket that’s able to take a lot of people, the ordinary people. We’re beginning to see that a lot of people just hide behind the studentship. So the student thing is not real, it’s not like they need the degrees,” he said.

The video of Emdee’s interview with the BBC surfaced online following the introduction of new immigration rules that restrict Nigerian students, and others studying in the UK, from bringing their families as dependents, except under specific circumstances.

Since then, the video has gone viral and attracted severe criticism from Nigerians on social media.

“Typical of Nigerian in diaspora . Immediately they have Uk/Canada/ usa residency, their tone and behavior changes … Other nationals are doing same thing even worse but never come online to say this . He has destroyed the hope of struggling and genuine students”.

Nigerian actor and politician, Banky W, has spoken on his absence from the recently concluded Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

The 9th edition of the AMVCA, which took place at the Eko Hotel on Saturday, May 20, 2023, celebrated talents in the film industry across Africa.

Numerous celebrities attended the event in glamorous and stunning fashion. However, the beloved pair of Banky W and Adesua Etomi, who are known for their stunning red carpet appearances, were noticeably absent.

She stated this in reaction to the public outcry that arose after Asaba-based actors, including herself, were snubbed in the recently concluded Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

Recall that the organizers of the award show were called out for not recognizing actors based in the Eastern and Southern part of Nigeria, such as Destiny Etiko, Yul Edochie, and Junior Pope, and failing to nominate them in any award category.

Following the outburst, Bella went online to defend AMVCA, stating that they did not recognize Asaba-based actors and producers because of the quality of movies they churn out.

She said they are fond of producing movies with the same recycled storylines, adding that she is fed up of acting in village-themed and witchcraft movies all the time..

Speaking further, Bella encouraged producers to create impactful movies with compelling storylines, as this could potentially lead to recognition in future award ceremonies.

A UK-based Jamaican disk jockey, DJ Magic Jay, has recounted how Nigerian superstar singer, Wizkid allegedly slapped him at an event in London in 2018.

The Jamaican, who expressed his love for Nigerian afrobeats music, said he went to greet Wizkid at YCee’s concert at the 02 Academy in Islington, London. However, Wizkid dismissively slapped his hand away.

He revealed this in a recent interview with Ruggedman TV, hosted by the legendary Nigerian rapper Ruggedy Baba.

“YCee’s concert, I was in Islington at the 02, I walked in, I went to greet him [Wizkid], I said, ‘Hi, how are you doing, Wizkid? My name is Cool Magic Jay; I’m a Jamaican guy who loves afrobeats’. I went to shake his hand, and he slapped my hand away.” He said.

DJ Magic Jay said he would love to interview Wizkid to understand why he acted that way.

“I wanna interview Wizkid. A final-year student of Benson Idahosa University (BIU), Bruno Chigozie Ezeonye, has passed away due to alleged negligence by the school authority.

The Computer Science student, said to be the only son of his parents, reportedly slumped while playing football on the school field on Tuesday May 23, and was rushed to the school clinic.

The deceased was reportedly left unattended for hours at the clinic, which is allegedly under-equipped.

His schoolmates reportedly tried taking him to the nearest hospital to be treated but were unable to do so because there was allegedly no fuel in the ambulance.

When they eventually got fuel, the school’s security refused to allow them leave the premises until they submitted an official exit request.

Due to the delay, Chigozie, who was only 21-years-old, gave up the ghost on Tuesday. His mother reportedly collapsed after receiving news of his death.

Following his death, students at the school staged a protest, and reportedly vandalized the school clinic and security post.

Nollywood actress, Adunni Ade has broken her silence after being publicly accused of owing her late colleague, Murphy Afolabi, N250,000.

It was earlier reported that the burial committee of the late Murphy Afolabi called out Adunni Ade over the alleged debt.

During the 8-day Fidau Prayer held in his honor, some Islamic clerics claiming to be members of the burial committee announced that Adunni Ade owed the deceased N250,000 and urged her to refund it.

They claimed that Murphy had sent the money to Adunni Ade as payment for a role in his upcoming movie before his sudden death. Read here.

Finally breaking her silence on the debt allegations through a statement issued by her team, Adunni Ade debunked the reports of being indebted to the late actor.

According to her, Murphy Afolabi had contacted her for a job in 2021 and had paid her the sum of N150,000.

However, she was unable to deliver the job due to the death of her brother and refunded the actor his money when he tried to make another agreement with her.

To support her claims, Adunni shared screenshots of her bank statement, which showed that she received N150,000 from Murphy in July 2021 and how she sent the money back to him in October 2021.

Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti has been released on bail from the custody of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Lagos on Tuesday night.

Recall that Seun was detained by the police for allegedly assaulting a police officer some days ago on Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos.

Kuti’s lawyers in a statement had earlier said that he would be released on bail as ordered by the Magistrate.

The development was confirmed by his attorney, Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika, SAN, in a telephone interview with The Punch.

“Yes, Ṣeun Kuti was released minutes ago,” he said.

A video of the singer outside the center was also shared online with fans and friend jubilating his release.

According to him, he had seen her in his dream when she came to borrow his gas cooker to prepare a meal.

A South African lady identified as Lindiwe TheryLin Pholo, has taken to social media to mourn her niece, Khanyisile Nondela, who committed suicide.

According to her, Khanyisile took her own life on Sunday night, May 21, 2023.

Sharing on her Facebook page, she reminisced about the last time they were together and how excited she was to follow her to the airport and see a plane take-off for the first time.

She wrote;

“Last night I lost my niece to SUICIDE. Just a few weeks ago we stood side by side to bid farewell to her grandfather. On my way back home, she asked if she could accompany me to the airport.

Amongst other things that excited her that day, was catching the sight of the take-off of an aeroplane and the meeting of her favorite artist Zola 7 for the first time, who embraced everyone by agreeing to taking pictures with all my nieces.. We hugged, said our goodbyes and I boarded. Little did I know it would be the last time I saw her.

You broke my heart Khanyisile Nondela, How I wish, how I wish I knew what you were going through, maybe signs were there and I ignored them, but it’s too late now. I failed you and I am sorry. In God’s hands, may your beautiful young soul gently rest in peace.”

A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to share how the eyelash extension she fixed nearly caused her to become blind.

She posted a video showing how she had just installed the lashes when, a few hours later, they began to irritate her eye.

Her eyes both got swollen, and tears started to flow from them. The sclera, the white component of the eye, also turned bright red.

She thought that it would go away on its own after some time, but instead, it worsened. Her man could be seen comforting her and using tissue to wipe the tears that were trickling down her eyes.

She eventually visited a hospital, where they had to do testing and start therapy once she learned it would harm her eye, and the procedure required that her left eye be covered.

Popular relationship doctor, Joro Olumofin has advised ladies to put their own happiness first and abandon their partners if they don’t pay a monthly stipend of 300,000 naira.

Veteran Nigerian singer turned realtor, Lanre Dabiri popularly known as Eldee, has claimed that his father was the first person to introduce the internet to Nigeria.

In a recent interview with media personality JOI, the artist made the assertion and added that his father was entirely responsible for the founding of IT enterprises at the time, including cybercafés.

The artist, who now resides in the United States with his family, claimed that despite studying architecture at university, his father had taught him the basics of information and communications technology.

Nollywood actress, Adunni Ade, has been called out for allegedly owing the late Nollywood actor Murphy Afolabi N250,000.

During the 8-day Fidau Prayer held in his honour, there was an announcement imploring Adunni Ade to refund the late actor’s money to his burial committee.

Popular On Air Personality and podcaster, Nedu, has asserted that it is better for ladies to date and marry older men instead of their peers.

According to him, marrying an older man would provide a lady with peace of mind and greater financial security.

He expressed this viewpoint on a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, which he co-hosts alongside Husband Material and Diety Cole.
