A video of Nigerian superstar singer, Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, and a mystery lady, whom he referred to as “his girlfriend,” has gone viral and spurred massive reactions online.

In the video, the pair appeared to be having a great time at an unnamed destination. The lady was lounging in her swimsuit when Wizkid walked behind her and gave her a hug and a peck on her forehead.

“What’s up, girlfriend”, Wizkid said as he planted a kiss on her forehead.

The lady shared the loved-up video on her Instagram page, @Kaicy_Kyngs_official, with the caption, “I’m your crush’s crush.”

The clip has since gone viral and left many wondering what the lady’s relationship with the father of four is.

Some who seem to have already concluded that they are an item have accused him of disrespecting his baby mama and manager, Jada P.

A video of the adorable conversation between sensational Nigerian singer, Simi, and her two-year-old daughter, Adejare, has gone viral online.

The ‘duduke’ crooner was captured having a chat with her daughter when the little girl suddenly screamed her name ‘Simisola’ which many would consider disrespectful in this part of the world.

Simi, who is happily married to singer Adekunle Gold, was taken aback by her daughter’s utterance and queried her for calling her by her first name, asking “Who’s your mate?”.

After much back and forth between the mother-daughter duo, Adejare retracted her words and instead addressed the singer as “mummy.”

Lady apologizes to her male friend after falsely ‘accusing him of raping her’ (video)

A young Nigerian man, identified as Richard Osita, has called his female friend, Bella Nwoko, who falsely accused him of rape.

According to Richard, his longtime friend, Bella had on two occasions threatened to accuse him of raping her.

He said he and Bella grew up together, and he had always seen her as a little sister, but despite their closeness, Bella threatened to ruin his reputation by accusing him of rape.

He said that she first threatened to accuse him of rape in 2021 when he turned down her sexual advances and also threatened to accuse him of rape last week after he asked her to refund the money she owed him.

To corroborate his claim, he took to his Instagram page, @your_young_king, to share a video of Bella apologizing for “accusing him of rape.”

Sharing the video, he wrote,

“Na song I sing I no kill person” – Singer, Obidiz reacts to Mercy Chinwo’s N2bn lawsuit threat

Nigerian singer, Obi Lawson, popularly known as Obidiz, has finally responded to gospel singer Mercy Chinwo’s threat to file a N2bn lawsuit against him for using her name in a secular song.

Recall that Mercy Chinwo had, through her lawyer, issued a “cease and desist” letter to Obidiz ordering him to take down his song titled “Mercy Chinwo” from all digital music platforms.

The song in question, titled “Mercy Chinwo,” was released in 2023 and tells the story of a wayward church girl.

“She dey share me the cake, but she no want commit. Mercy Chinwo for church, but for club na Cardi B sef”, the lyrics read in part.

Along with taking down the song, Obidiz is required to publicly and personally apologize to Mercy Chinwo.

She warned that failure to accede to her requests would attract legal action, including approaching the court to award N2 billion in damages against him for the defamatory use of her name.

“That you immediately CEASE AND DESIST from any further use of the name and image of Our Client in promotion of your music.

4.2 That you take down or cause to be taken down, the song titled “Mercy Chinwo” which you published on be taken down immediately from all music digital platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Sound Cloud and any other platform whereby you made such publication.” The letter read in part.

Reacting via his Twitter handle, Obidiz denied making reference to the gospel singer in the song. According to him, the song was about a lady he met.

Woman forced to walk over her daughter’s corpse to prove her innocence in the girl’s dɘath in Anambra (video)

A disturbing video showing a bereaved mother being forced to walk over her daughter’s corpse in Anambra has gone viral and sparked outrage.

It was gathered that the young girl identified as Ogochukwu died under mysterious circumstances in Umueze Uga, in the Aguata Local Government Area of the state, on Thursday, March 30, 2023.

Following Ogochukwu’s death, her mother, Azuka Emene, was reportedly accused by members of the community of having a hand in her death, an allegation she denied.

However, photos and videos of the woman being made to walk over the corpse of her daughter to prove her innocence have surfaced online.

A member of the community, Okuekwe Aguata, who shared the photos and videos on Facebook, wrote,

TILL ON LATE OGOCHUKWU EMENE MATTER… DID AZUKA REALLY KILL HER DAUGHTER? CAN A MOTHER KILL HER BRILLIANT AND PROMISING DAUGHTER?

The mother though her character and body language may cause the accusations that she’s responsible for her daughter’s death, but so many information shows that the woman will never kill her daughter deliberately.

Human rights lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), has addressed concerns regarding his son Folarin Falana, professionally known as Falz, embarrassing the government, which some people had raised.

He claimed that he received requests from people to confront Falz about his statements and actions, which are damaging to the reputation of the government.

Mr. Falana claims that Falz is an adult who is conscious of his behavior and that he questioned the source of the suggestion.

He continued by recalling how his son had frequently seen him get arrested numerous times while he was fighting for freedom during the military period.

He said;

Popular Nollywood actress and producer, Ruby Ojiakor has revealed that she has been the victim of sex-for-role offers in the movie industry,

Speaking in an interview with The Punch, she recounted turning down a marketer’s offer to sleep with her in order to land the role of the lead in a movie.

Ojiakor said that when she rejected his advances, filming had already started, so she thought it wouldn’t matter, but she was replaced in subsequent scenes.

IN her words ;

“I remember when I was called for a job in Enugu and we shot it for two days. I was supposed to be the female lead character in the movie. The marketer that owned the job wanted to ‘get down’ with me. But, I told him I could not do such a thing. I thought that since I had started shooting some scenes in the movie, nothing could be done to me and he cannot cancel my scenes, which I shot with Ghanaian actor, Majid Michel, then.
I also felt Majid would not want to re-act the scenes he had done before. Those factors made me think that the producer’s decision to change me would be fruitless. But to my surprise, I was not called to continue my scenes. When I challenged the production manager, he said I should not be angry because someone else had been called to play the role. I was not given any reason for being removed from that project.
I asked if Majid agreed to re-shoot those scenes, and I was told he was paid extra money to do so. That was how I lost a movie role because I refused to sleep with the owner of the movie. The scenes I had already shot were wiped out from that movie. That was a painful experience, but I have moved on.
I don’t think anything can be done to stop sexual advances from filmmakers. Some people have tried to report them, but it has not yielded any positive result. When an actress reports an offender, she is practically setting herself up for a fall. The offenders know themselves, and if one person reports any of them, they would gang up against that actress in the industry, and she would not be getting movie roles. It is just like a cartel. The best thing is to train oneself and be firm that even if others are doing it, one will not do it. That was what I did.”

Singer, Portable breaks silence after court granted him bail

Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, otherwise known as Portable, has broken his silence after he was granted bail by a magistrate court sitting in Ifo, Ifo local government area of Ogun State.

It was earlier reported that the Zazu singer landed in police custody on Friday, March 31, 2023, after an intense drama with police officers at his bar on Thursday.

He was subsequently arraigned in court this morning, April 3, on a three-count charge bordering on assault and theft of musical equipment.

Portable’s counsel, Adodo Destiny, had prayed the court to grant the defendant bail.

Delivering his ruling on an application for bail made by his counsel, Magistrate A.S. Shoneye said the offenses were bailable. The court granted portable bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in the same amount. The court ruled that both sureties must have landed properties near the court.

The court, however, ruled that Portable be transferred to the Ilaro Correctional Center, pending the time his bail requirements are met.

Shorty after the court ruling new photos of the singer were shared on his Instagram page with a caption expressing gratitude to God.

Filmmaker and actor Yul Edochie’s brother, Linc Edochie, has reacted to the tragic demise of his nephew, Kambilichukwu.

Recall that the 16-year-old son of actor Yul Edochie died on Thursday after he suddenly developed a seizure while playing football with his schoolmates.

Reacting to the boy’s tragic passing, Linc, in a video he shared online, said the last couple of days since the incident have been traumatizing for the Edochie family.

He said that while they have tried to remain positive and give thanks to God even in their time of grieving, it hasn’t been easy.

“The last couple of days have been completely traumatizing, I’m not gonna lie… But the bible says in all things give thanks to God. I know we are gonna emerge stronger from this and I also know that evil has an expiry date.” He said in part.

Court grants Portable N300,000 bail; case adjourned till April 26

Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable has been granted bail by a Magistrate Court sitting in Ifo, Ifo local government area of Ogun State.

The Zazu singer was arraigned in court this morning, April 3, on a three-count charge bordering on assault and theft of musical equipment.

The court granted him bail to the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in the same amount. The court ruled that both sureties must have landed properties near the court.

The judge ruled that Portable is to remain at the Ilaro correctional center until he meets the bail condition, and adjourned the case to April 26.

Recall that the singer resisted arrest after some men of the police command stormed his bar to arrest him for failing to honor several invitations sent to him on Tuesday.

Reacting to the standoff going on between the police and the singer, and his revelation that he purposely ignored the request to come in, the lawyer took to his Facebook page to claim that the singer is the kind of client who will act and speak in a way that is contrary to a lawyer’s plan of action.

22-year-old woman found dɘad in her room in Ogun state; boyfriend arrested

A 22-year-old woman, Kabirat Sobola, was reportedly murdered in cold blood in her room on Friday, February 4, 2023, in Abeokuta, Ogun state.

Kabirat, a Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta alumna, was found dead in her room with a deep cut on her neck and chest and a knife beside her.

When the deceased, a National Diploma holder, couldn’t be reached for several hours, her boyfriend went to the police station to report her missing, but he was arrested.

However, the girl’s family are saying there was no reason to indict her boyfriend, who is currently detained in connection with the case.

A family member, who gave her name as Mrs Sobola told Punch:

“Kabirat was found dead on her bed with a knife beside her, having a deep cut on her neck and her chest.

“Her phone was missing; the police have neglected these parts without mentioning them in their report.

“When she was declared missing for days, her boyfriend went to make a complaint at the police station on Friday, March 3

“According to the DPO, the boyfriend met him at the counter, saying he was looking for his girlfriend, the DPO suspected him because it was not up to 24 hours.

“He asked him (boyfriend) when last he saw her, and he replied that he still talked with her around 10am on Friday, then, the police said it was just around 1pm, and he was reporting the incident.

“So the DPO detained him. The following day, the parents were also called because everyone had tried calling her but her phone wasn’t reachable.”

Sobola said they all went to Kabirat’s house to look for her, and discovered that her room was locked while the police tracker indicated that her phone was inside.

She added,

“When they opened the door, they saw a key on the ground, and they entered and saw the girl’s corpse lying on the bed and a knife was placed beside her.

“She had a deep cut on her neck, and on her left chest, her phone was missing. The police didn’t bother looking for it.

“From their findings about the guy, there is nothing that indicts the guy. They didn’t talk about the phone, knife, or anything.

“The guy is presently at Oba Prison and there would be another proceeding on April 27. We want justice for the girl, justice must be done.”

The spokesperson of the Ogun state police command, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirming the incident, said the matter has been transferred to the command’s Homicide Section.

Oyeyemi said: “From the investigation conducted, it was discovered that it was the boy that killed the girl, it seems they had fought before so, it seems he went to the girl’s house and killed her and he was arrested by the police and the case was transferred to the Homicide Section.”

Popular Nigerian rapper, Emeka Ahamefule, better known as Blaqbonez, has shared his chat with controversial singer Portable before his arrest on Friday.

Recall that the Zazu Zeh star, who previously resisted arrest when men of the Ogun State Police command stormed his bar on Thursday, was taken into custody on Friday, March 31.

Portable’s arrest was confirmed in a statement, which stated that he would be detained until today, Monday, April 3, when he would be arraigned in court.

While fans, colleagues, and netizens await the court’s judgment on Portable’s case, Blaqbonez took to social media to share a chat he had with Portable just last week before the whole police saga.

Portable in the chat had sent a voice note to Blaqbonez asking for them to do a piece together which he agreed.

Sharing screenshot of the chat on Twitter, Blaqbonez wrote,

NDLEA declares celebrity couple and popular prophetess wanted for alleged drug trafficking (video)

The National Drug Law Enforcement, NDLEA, has declared a Port Harcourt-based prophetess and founder of Christ Power Adoration Ministries, Faith Ugochi, and a popular Instagram couple, Igho Ubiribo and Danielle Simba Allen, wanted for alleged drug trafficking.

The trio have been accused of recruiting underage girls for their drug trafficking ring while serving as the arrowheads of an international syndicate based in Los Angeles, California.

The suspects were exposed when the NDLEA intercepted a consignment of 32.70 kilograms of Loud, a strong variant of cannabis concealed in cartons of used wears, at the NAHCO import shed of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja Lagos, on Wednesday 16th November 2022.

Spokesperson of the anti-drug agency, Femi Babafemi, who confirmed this in a statement released on Sunday, April 2, 2023, said further investigations led to the arrest of four more suspects: Chikodi Favour; Obiyom Shalom Chiamaka; Nnochiri Chidinma Promise and Edward Omatseye (aka Montana).

Favour, 15, led the operatives to a duplex accommodation in the Ikate area of Lekki, which was later discovered to be a rented apartment by the criminal group specifically for four young girls who the syndicate uses for drug marketing and distribution.

During their preliminary interviews, it was discovered that the syndicate rented another building inside Richmond Estate, Lekki, which was used as a drug warehouse. However, when operatives arrived at the house, they discovered that other members of the syndicate had broken into the store and carted away bags of illegal drugs.

The anti-drug agency has declared wanted Prophetess Faith Ugochi, who used her church platform to recruit teenage girls to work as sales girls for the business’s owners, Igho Ubiribo (aka Tiny) and Danielle Simba Allen (aka Dani).

Meanwhile, efforts to get the trio to surrender themselves to the agency for questioning have proved abortive.

Popular Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, professionally known as Portable, has been arraigned before the Ifo High Court in Ogun State.

The controversial singer, who was taken into custody on Friday, March 31, days after he caused a scene and resisted arrest when men of the Ogun State Police command stormed his bar, was arraigned on Monday morning, April 3 on six counts charge bordering on assault.

Recall that the singer resisted arrest after some men of the police command stormed his bar to arrest him for failing to honor several invitations sent to him on Tuesday.

Reacting to the standoff going on between the police and the singer, and his revelation that he purposely ignored the request to come in, the lawyer took to his Facebook page to claim that the singer is the kind of client who will act and speak in a way that is contrary to a lawyer’s plan of action.

He wrote;

A Nigerian lady who recently relocated to the United Kingdom for greener pastures has lamented her inability to get a job.

In a viral video, the lady expressed regrets about leaving her country for the UK in the hopes of making a better life for herself.

She noted that she doubts the veracity of reports that the United Kingdom has a thriving economy and a diverse job market, as she has been unable to get herself a job since she moved there.

In the video, she spoke of her initial excitement at the prospect of moving to the UK. She had heard that there were many job opportunities available in the country, and she was eager to take advantage of them. However, upon arriving in the UK, she soon discovered that things were not as easy as she had anticipated.

She said since she arrived in the UK, she has sent out countless job applications, yet she still hasn’t gotten a job.

Apparelly frustrated by her predicament, the lady blamed those who had deceived her into coming to the UK.

Tech entrepreneur, Osaretin Victor Asemota, has narrated how an intending bride cheated on her husband-to-be before their wedding.

Taking to Twitter over the weekend, Asemota disclosed that the Nigerian bride-to-be visited her married boyfriend for one last ‘mekewe’ before her traditional and white wedding.

Asemota, who described the incident as his weirdest experience in Nigeria, claimed that the bride-to-be slept with her side nigga in exchange for a monetary wedding gift.

To make matters worse, he claimed that the lady’s sister-in-law was aware of the exchange, and even escorted her to visit the side-nigga.

In a series of tweets, he wrote,

Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, has opened up about the tragic death of his 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi.

Recall that Ifeanyi died on October 31st 2022 after drowning in a swimming pool at his father’s residence in the Banana Island area of Lagos State.

Davido, who recently released his long-awaited album ‘Timeless,’ said in an exclusive interview with CNN that the loss of his son had an impact on the project.

“Before my son passed, we had finished the album. But it was a tragic situation and I really had to calm myself down and take a step back,” he explained.

He added that he and his wife, Chioma, didn’t deserve to lose their son, and that no one in the world deserves to lose a child.

“Nobody would want that,” Davido said, referring to the death of his son. “And everybody knows that I and Chioma didn’t deserve that.”

The 30-year-old singer further attributed his comeback to the overwhelming support he received from his family, friends, and fans.

“At some point I couldn’t open my Instagram for weeks. One day, I just checked it and I saw messages from every kind of person in the world. I was like ‘you’re fine, you see everybody is rooting for you.’ That was one thing that really made me strong enough to stand up again, get back in the studio and do what I love.” He told CNN.

“I came back from the jaws of death” – Charly Boy recounts battle with prostate cancer (Video)

Veteran Nigerian singer, Charles Oputa, professionally known as Charly Boy, has opened up about his battle with prostate cancer.

Taking to his Instagram page, Charly Boy revealed that he had been battling the illness that, according to him, almost took his life for the past 10 days.

He shared a video of himself being wheeled out of the theater and thanked God for another chance at life.

According to Charly Boy, he has fought and won many battle in his life, but being a survivor is the greatest favor God has done for him.

“Today I am being discharged from the hospital. In my life, I am happy doing this video. I have fought so many battles. And I have won so many battles. But for the past ten days, I have been battling with something very huge.

“But as God would have it, he saved my life and I beat that sucker. I have been fighting my prostrate issues. It’s not a small thing. Not as you are seeing me shining. You will see videos and know I came from the jaws of death. That thing that has killed many people did not kill me.” He said.

Speaking further, he thanked his family members and the Nigerian doctors who were in charge of his treatment.

“I want to thank God for sparing my life. I want to thank my cousins who gave me great support and love. You guys are the best. I want to thank my friends and well-wishers for standing by me. This is the biggest fight ever that I have had in my life.

“Above all, I want to thank the doctor who saw to it. He did a fantastic job. His name is Kingsley Ekwueme. He was the doctor who took care of me and who saw my problem. I want to thank you. You are a great guy.

“As you can see I didn’t travel to London or America. I had my treatment in Nigeria. I am back. Charly Boy no dey finish na. I am not going anywhere soon.” He added.
