“Y’all saying bleaching in the comment sound so stup!d 😂, you are comparing someone who use to walk home under the sun everyday; 11 years ago, to someone who is almost never under the sun 😂 just dey play”.

A while back, gormer Big Brother Naija housemate, Ese Eriata took to social media to issue a stern warning to online fashion vendors.

Ese, in a post shared on Snapchat, said she finds it annoying when an online vendor who sells fake designer outfits uses a picture of someone wearing the original and expensive version of the cloth to advertise their wares.

According to her, such vendors should stop that ‘nonsense’ immediately and instead, get someone to model their replica items rather than misleading their customers.

She wrote,

“Fashion vendors should stop that nonsense. Nothing annoys me more than seeing someone rocking an expensive outfit worth millions, then you now see the picture on a vendor’s page for 20k or 55k without acknowledging that the picture is the original and what they are selling is the replica.

That’s highly insulting and downgrading to the person in the picture, you fashion vendors should stop that nonsense. Post your actual picture or look for someone to model your replica for you.”

Singer, Kwam 1 breaks silence after being dragged for refusing to kiss his wife in public

Veteran Fuji maestro, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as Kwam 1, has finally reacted after being dragged for refusing a public display of affection from his wife, Emmanuella.

According to Kwam 1 in the statement signed on his behalf by one of his band members, Kunle Rasheed, rumors of problems in his home were fabricated by haters.

The statement reads;

“Our attention has been drawn yet again to another rounds of unofficial and unreliable piece of information that the Mayegun of Yorubaland, K1 de Ultimate is not in love with his darling wife hence the rejection of her kiss at his surprise birthday gig held at Radisson Blu over the weekend.

“These rumour mongers have turned what ordinary was inconsequential to something they feel in their delusion, they should celebrate and spread for a gain we do not understand.

“It is rather unfortunate that these rumour spinners who thrive only in negativity should be able to see through their hate that love indeed has found a place to stay permanently in the couple’s hearts.

“Rasheed said K1 and Emmanuella love each other dearly and this should be understood by those who are waiting to rejoice at any bad news about the couple.

“Many of these gossips believe that the union will not work are in perpetual agony when they see the marriage flourishing. It engulfs them with sadness and pain so much that their daily activities is to shop endlessly for ways to transfer their unhappy mode to a couple who is constantly enjoying the bliss of their union.

“Men go through a lot” – Man makes case for husband who strangled his pregnant wife to death for opening gate late in Anambra

Man makes

A married man has sparked mixed reactions on Facebook after he made a case for the man who strangled his pregnant wife to death in Anambra.

Ikechukwu Obiora made the news yesterday after he killed his wife because she delayed in opening the gate for him when he returned home.

The man got married to his wife, Ebere Uzuegbunam, in August last year and strangled her to death on March 2, 2023, barely seven months after their wedding.

Man makes

He confessed to the crime after he was summoned by his in-laws to explain what killed their daughter.

“I returned home in the morning of March 2, 2023, and was knocking at the gate, but my wife did not open the gate immediately. In that anger, I started shouting at her. I first slapped and hit her from the gate to the house before angrily grabbing her by the neck and strangling her,” the suspect said.

Man makes

Reacting to the news, a Facebook user with name Ikpeazu Chinedu Bright said the husband probably didn’t know that grabbing his wife’s neck would kill her.

Chinedu added that women need to be counselled to stay focused in their marriages so as not to push their husbands to physically assault them out of anger.

Using his own marriage as an example, he explained that his wife spends a lot of time on her phone and doesn’t cook on time which annoys him sometimes.

He said if he one day loses his temper and beats her up, he would be labelled a beast without them knowing his wife incited the attack.

He concluded by saying, “Men go through a lot”.

“Your wives are in my DMs” – US-based Nigerian professor, Uju Anya replies Nigerian men castigating her for being a lesbian

Uju Anya replies

US-based Nigerian professor, Uju Anya, has responded to Nigerian men who criticize her for being a lesbian and claim that homosexuality is not African.

She revealed on Twitter that many of the women who slide into her direct messages to confess to being closeted lesbians are married women who are forced to stay in their marriages due to the society they live in.

She further revealed that some of these women, who are living in major African cities like Lagos, Port Harcourt and Nairobi, sometimes request to be hooked up with a gay partner online.

 Uju Anya replies

According to Uju, this negates the claim that homosexuality is not African because there are many gays who are hiding their sexuality in Africa.

She added that if Africans continue criticizing homosexuality, they will end up building societies filled with lies and misery.

Read her full post below,

“These men who attack me for being gay, saying it’s not part of African culture, lemme tell you 3 things:

1. Your wives lying in bed next to you in Africa enter my DMs EVERY DAY saying they’re gay and trapped in marriage with you, because family and society gave them no choice.

2. Your African wives say they (and many others they know like them especially in Port Harcourt, Lagos, Nairobi) don’t miss a thing I say on Twitter, but can’t openly follow me or like my tweets, because you their African husbands follow me, and they’re afraid you’ll see them.

3. When I do matchmaking threads, gay women married to African men are the LARGEST group asking for anonymous posts not to identify themselves publicly. They even beg me to create threads just for them to find each other.

**2nd largest group is married men seeking side chicks.

When I tell homophobic African men their wife is in my DMs, I’m not joking. I hear from enough African wives *DAILY* to know y’all should stop this “homosexuality is not African” BS and build societies where your own hatred and violence don’t force you to live in lies and misery.”

The Lagos state Ministry of Justice has stated that it will oppose any plans to exhume the late Whitney’s corpse in a statement issued on March 4.

The statement read;

“The Lagos State Ministry of Justice is aware of the current ongoing dialogue about the alleged plans to exhume the body of the late Whitney Omodesola Adeniran, a student of Chrisland Schools whose death as revealed by the autopsy, conducted by Lagos State University Teaching Hospital was as a result of asphyxia and electrocution.
Whilst we have not received any such official communication requesting for exhumation, however if and when we do receive such a request, we shall be opposed to it.
In any event, the circumstances for exhumation under the Coroners’ Systems Law, 2015 do not arise in this
case.
Additionally, it is not our intention to further traumatize the deceased’s family.
We are working closely with the police who have given their reassurance that the duplicate case file would be forwarded on Monday, 6th of March, 2023 to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions to aid the speedy issuance of Legal Advice.”

According to The Nation, Baddo said it happened when he was working with his supervisor and director, ID Cabasa, many years ago.

In his words;

“I was in the studio when this senior artist came in to record a song, and he said he was hungry. Who else will he send to buy food if not me, who was the youngest in the studio? The money he gave me was not enough for his meal, so I decided to add my own money. I even used my money to pay for transportation. When I got back to the studio with the food, guess what this guy said to me?
Cabasa, tell this your boy to give me my change. If he wants money, he should tell me, and I will give it to him. He should not use a trick to steal my money. I almost got angry, but one look from ID Cabasa calmed me down. Today, the guy is one of my biggest fans, and he is planning to do a song with me.”

According to him, women benefitted more from marriage but always talk down on men.

“Few years from now Nigeria will have one of the most largest numbers of unmarried women roaming the streets. This is not a joke or a swift attack to the ladies, it’s just based on statistics. Niqqas on this side of the world can’t really pinpoint the importance nowadays.

Nigerian Women benefit more from marriage & relationships yet whenever u hear them talk they always talking down on the men. Firstly you’re a nobody in the society if u ain’t married as a woman, so better shut up & pray for a man to deem u worthy to be wifed if not U go suffer o.”
