The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, says he wonders how the colonialists were able to convince Africans that polygamy is a sin while glorifying homosexuality.

Taking to his Instagram page to publicly share his thoughts, the Osun Monarch questioned how Africans were gullible enough to believe the teachings of the whites, and discard their age-long culture.

According to him, he doesn’t understand how the whites successfully convinced our forefathers that marrying multiple wives is wrong, whilst claiming that homosexuality is a human right.

He added that it’s even more bemusing that polygamy is a legal offense in America, but homosexuality is not.

The monarch wrote,

“I wonder how the whites successfully convinced Africans that polygamy is a sin but homosexuality is a human right.

Polygamy is even a crime in America….What a big joke this world is !!!”

A while back, Oluwo of Iwo stated that vote buying cannot be stopped in Nigerian democracy because of the way politicians run the system.

The monarch stated this on Saturday, July 16, shortly after casting his vote at Unit 1 Ward 2, in Iwo town Iwo Local Government.

According to him, vote buying will only stop when government start doing what is right, and allow citizens to enjoy the dividends of democracy.

Popular Nollywood actor, Alex Ekubo has finally returned to social media with a message for his fans and followers following the saga with his estranged fiancée, Fancy Acholonu.

Recall that 2023 began on a messy note for the actor after his ex-fiancee made some damning allegations against him which further fueled speculations about his sexuality.

Fancy had publicly apologized for the way things ended between them in 2021. However, due to his failure to properly acknowledge her apology, she granted an exclusive interview where she made disparaging claims against the actor.

She had accused Alex of cheating on her despite refusing to sleep with her throughout their 5-year relationship. She also accused him of manipulating and gaslighting her among other allegations.

Despite all the ruckus, Alexx refused to confirm or deny the allegations as he kept mute and stayed off social media until he made his first post today, January 30.

In the post, the 36-year-old actor shared a handsome photo of himself and ushered his followers into the new year.

He said normally he would have shared a motivational message for his fans like he does at the beginning of every year, but he won’t be able to do that this year for obvious reasons..

He then urged his followers to refer to the pep talks he shared in previous years.

The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of popular Kano TikTok skit maker, Murja Ibrahim Kunya.

Murja was arrested at the Tahir Hotel in Kano while trying to book rooms for her guests, who came from distant places to attend her much-publicized birthday bash.

The spokesperson of the command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed Murja’s arrest in a statement on Sunday night, January 29, 2023, said she was arrested following complaints from clerics that she uses vulgar language and corrupts the morals of society in her videos.

Her arrest followed a request from a Shari’ah Court in Bichi to the state’s commissioner of police to arrest and investigate her alongside other TikTok users.

The other TikTok users included in the request letter were Mr. 442, Safara’u, Dan Maraya, Amude Booth, Kawu Dan Sarki, Ado Gwanja, Ummi Shakira, Samha Inuwa, and Babiana.

“Sequel to the complaint lodged by Muhd Ali Hamza Esq, Abba Mahmud, Esq, Sunusi I. Umar Esq, Abba, A.T Bebeji Esq, B.I Usman Esq, Muhd Nasir Esq, L.T Dayi Esq, G.A Badawi & Badamasi Suleiman Gandu Esq, I am directed by the presiding Upper Sharia Court Judge, Bichi Division Kano to write and kindly request you to conduct investigation against the above mentioned suspects for proper action.” The letter read in part.

Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Mamman Dauda, has ordered that the suspect undergo psychiatric evaluation.

People living with OCD typically experience obsessions, or repetitive unwanted thoughts that prompt an extreme urge to repeat a specific behavior.

One characteristic of OCD patients is their inability to tolerate a messy environment or their fixation with maintaining order.

Nengi’s tweet triggered a flurry of reactions from netizens, who pointed out that the reality star probably thought OCD was a fancy word when she claimed to have it.

Kano TikTok star, Murja Kunya arrested while booking hotel rooms for her birthday party guests

A Nigerian TikTok star, identified as Murja Ibrahim Kuya, has been arrested by Operatives of the Kano State Police Command.

Kunya was picked up by the police while she was trying to book hotel rooms for guests who came from distant places to attend her much-publicized birthday bash, Daily Nigerian reports.

The TikTok skit maker was reportedly arrested for using vulgar words in her videos, and by implication corrupting the morals of people in the society.

The spokesperson of the command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the arrest, said the State Commissioner of Police, CP Mamman Dauda, has ordered that she undergoes psychiatric evaluation.

Murja’s arrest comes after a Shari’ah Court in Bichi petitioned the state commissioner of police to arrest and investigate her and other TikTok users.

In other news, a young man and his sister have been banished from their community in Lude, Mbaise, Imo state, for allegedly committing incest.

A video shared online shows community members leading the disgraced siblings out of the community with what little properties they owned.

A viral video has captured an angry wife assaulting a call girl in a brothel after she found out she slept with her husband.

The wife is said to have followed her husband after she discovered photos of him and the call girl on his phone on Wednesday, January 25.

The enraged wife arrived at the massage parlor in Phuket, Thailand, after her husband had left, but discovered the hooker sitting in a chair.

When she met the lady, whom she claimed was intimate with her husband, the wife ripped a towel off her, leaving her naked.

Not stopping there, she landed several slaps and punches on the young woman, who pleaded for forgiveness as she struggled to free herself.

“I didn’t know he had a wife.” She said

Footage of the attack showed the woman standing over the terrified lady as she tried to grab her phone from her.

The police have now launched an investigation into the incident. It is reported that an hour with one of the women who work at the parlor costs around £49 per hour.

Reacting to the viral video, the Mueang Phuket Provincial Police Station’s, Colonel Sarawut Chuprasit said in a statement,

“Officers are checking where the incident occurred. Nobody recognizes that massage place. There have been no complaints from any of the people involved, but I encourage the victim to report the incident to police. We will investigate it urgently for them.”

Popular media personality, Toke Makinwa has shared her thoughts on how people treat abuse victims.

In a series of tweets shared on her official Twitter page, Toke tackled society for trying to police how victims should act and share their stories after reassuring and encouraging them to speak up in the first place.

According to her, women who are supposed to encourage other women for speaking up are the ones who shut them down instead.

She wrote;

“I’ll rather use the $50k to buy land in my hometown” – Portable resumes rants about TG Omori

Controversial street-hop singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has resumed his criticism of video director, TG Omori regarding the fee he charges.

Recall that a few days ago Portable called out the ace director for charging $50,000 (N37 million) when he reached out for a video for one of his songs.

The Zazuu star took to his Instagram story to rant aggressively about the fee and query why the director was charging that much.

He shared screenshots of their chats in a video, where he also replied to Omori with voice notes lamenting about the money being too high. See here.

In a new video with some friends, Portable revealed he will use the money to buy acres of land in his community than pay TG.

The “Ika of Africa” star reiterated that was impossible for him to pay N37 million for a music video when members of his family are looking up to him for their daily feeding.

He claimed that he is not insane enough to make such a horrible mistake.

“The Senate is only speaking up for the masses because it affects them” – Paul Okoye blasts Nigerian Senate for requesting more time to swap naira notes

Singer, Paul Okoye aka Rudeboy has tackled the Nigerian Senate for calling for the extension of the deadline of the swapping of the redesigned Naira notes.

The Senate recently called for the extension of the deadline for the swapping of the Naira notes to June 2023 for fear of the scarcity of the newly redesigned notes to common Nigerians.

Taking to his Instagram story, Paul accused the lawmakers of speaking up only because this particular policy affects them and the election.

According to him, the lawmakers didn’t speak when the masses were hungry during the pandemic and palliatives because they were not affected.

He wrote;

“During pandemic, people were hungry, where was the senate when the palliative were discovered?
Same government were hiding food for their citizens, they were silent and dumb because it doesn’t affect them.
Now with the CBN naira redesign they became spokemen for the poor 🤮 cos it affects them.

Woman makes a scene after catching husband with side chick in their home (Video)

A married woman has gone viral after arriving home to see her husband with his side chick in a towel.

The woman had tried to enter her house but was locked out by the husband who attempted to sneak the mistress through the balcony on the first floor.

The enraged wife threatened to hurt both parties and also broke a bottle to prove her point causing both the mistress and the husband to be confused about their next cause of action.

Iyanya explains why he pushed a fan off stage

Popular Nigerian singer, Iyanya has taken to Twitter to explain himself after fans accused him of pushing a baller off the stage.

In the video shared on the microblogging app by a user with the handle @Pettyrebel, the “Kukure” crooner was recorded shoving a fan that was spraying money.

She wrote;

“So iyanya came to Awka yesterday, na our pablo dem push like that”

Explaining his side of things, Iyanya claimed the fan was slapping him with the money and he tried to get him to stop but the guy refused.

According to him, it was very dissrespectul to slap people while spraying them money.

“The guy kept slapping my face with the money and I tried to hold his hand and he continued.
First no matter how much you are spraying, don’t slap someone with it, that’s disrespectful.
“Where are you? I need to slap your face with naira notes and let’s see how you will feel after 3 slaps,” he added when another fan told him he should not have reacted.

Big Brother Naija reality TV Star, Ka3na is currently rejoicing as she recently birthed her second child.

Recall that last week, the reality star shared the announcement that she is pregnant.

However, it is obvious she made the announcement close to her delivery date because she took to her social media page today to share that she’s now a mother-of-two.

“Hey Everyone! Here to let everyone know Ka3na has given birth to a bouncing new baby. Thanks for all your lovely messages,” she wrote on her IG Story.

Ka3na already shares one daughter with her Caucasian husband, Mr Jones. She’d announced in March 2022 that their marriage was over.

Ned Nwoko celebrates his estranged wife Laila, as she turns a new Age

Regina Daniel’s husband, Senator Ned Nwoko has taken to his social media page to his estranged Moroccan wife, Laila Charani, as she clocks a new age today.

The Polygamous politician, thank God for the life of his Laila and estranged Wife and added that his family loves her.

Sharing a beautiful photo of Laila, he wrote: “My dear laila. As you know, I believe that we should celebrate life every day. As we wake up, we should be grateful to God for his mercies. I thank God for your life and wish you the very best today and always. On behalf of the family I say welcome to a new age. We love you. @Mnslailacharani”.

Laila, has three children with Ned Nwoko, so it came as a shocker when she announced on social media in October 2021 that she was separating from him.

She later returned to the public eye in 2022 to apologise to Ned and his family for leaving her marriage as she did.

In her words; “I have realised that I made mistakes, and they were not intentional. I listened too much to outsiders and decided to apologise to my husband and other family members. I want peace and progress in the family.”

Usain Bolt fires business manager after $12.7 million went missing in massive fraud case

Jamaican sprinter, Usain Bolt has expressed shock over how $12.7 million of his money went missing from a local private investment firm, that authorities are investigating as part of a massive fraud.

Speaking to reporters on January 27, Bolt said that he had sacked his business manager and added that the split was not amicable.

According to Bolt’s attorneys, his account with Kingston-based Stocks and Securities Limited dropped from around $12.8 million to just under $12,000. The corporation had been given until Friday to repay the funds, failing which they would take legal and criminal action.

The public should prepare for both the “expected and the unexpected” in this case, according to attorney Linton P. Gordon, who spoke to the Jamaica Observer newspaper.

“There is nothing to say at this stage, given what is happening, we have met with persons, and we are dealing with certain matters,” he was quoted as saying.

Earlier this week, Jamaican Finance Minister Nigel Clarke announced that the director of the Financial Services Commission was stepping down and that the Bank of Jamaica would now be in charge of regulating the island’s financial system.

He said that in addition to several government organizations, the suspected scam also impacted senior citizens.

The FBI and other unnamed foreign specialists have been asked for assistance by Jamaican officials, who have also claimed that consumers were provided incorrect information about their balances as part of the suspected scam. Officials have not yet disclosed the exact number of clients impacted or the amount of money lost.

Bolt mentioned the suspected scam while speaking at a luncheon sponsored for an upcoming relay.

“As you all know. I’ve been going through a tough week, a few tough weeks. No matter what’s going on right now, Jamaica is my country. That will never change. I’m just trying to focus on my family and trying not to think too much about it because it’s a difficult situation,”he said

Super Eagles and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen has been listed as one of the fastest Serie A strikers.

The 24-year-old, who is in the best shape of his life right now, is one of Luciano Spalletti’s main motivators.

One of Osimhen’s traits that makes him a successful striker and sets him apart from others is speed. With 13 league goals, he now leads the Serie A scoring rankings.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the former Lille star is one of the fastest and runs like nobody else, breaking his previous mark in the derby against Salernitana.

The Super Eagles striker contributed one assist and two goals to Naples’ 5-1 victory over Juventus last weekend in Serie A matchday 18.

The Italian paper wrote;

“From the Olimpico to Maradona on the wings of Osimhen. The league’s top scorer with 13 goals in 15 games and then the son of the wind who on the Saturday gusts and storm of the Salerno derby adapted perfectly to the weather parading away at 35.5 kilometres per hour. Hypeman and influencer, Idowu Adeyemi, widely known as YhemoLee has recently disclosed that nightclubs are the new spots for hookups in Lagos.

YhemoLee made this revelation about nightclubs, while speaking as a guest in an episode of Taymesan’s podcast, TeawithTay.

According to YhemooLee, nightclubs are the new places to pick up a category of women he identified as ‘surgery preferable’, and these ladies charge at least $5,000.

They either make their clients pay in cash or have them clear their shopping carts, consisting of bags and other luxury materials.

In related news, Yhemolee has replied to skit maker, Carter Efe after the latter called him out for disrespecting skit makers.

Recall that during a recent Instagram live session, Carter Efe aired his grievance with Yhemo Lee for claiming that he earns the amount skit makers make for shooting seven videos in one night.

According to him, the fee he would charge per night, Carter would charge the same to work for 6 months so they were not mates.

He wrote;
