Big Brother Naija star, Adekunle Olopade, has taken to social media to throw a jab at fellow former level-up housemates.

The BBNaija season 7 finalist who poured out his heart in a lengthy social media post bragged about being better than his colleagues while noting that some of them are living fake lives to impress their fans.

He recalled his time in the house, how he got commendations from Big Brother for his skills and abilities, and how the housemates wanted him on their teams during group tasks.

“A few things I need to clear up.
For those who feel I ruined someone’s mental health, I’m envious of someone, I desperately want to be in someone’s shadow, or I’m intimidated by someone, the many more ridiculous narratives you have come up with to make yourselves feel better,

Please note, There is nothing your fave can do, that I, Adekunle cannot do. There are so many things that I, Adekunle can do, that your faves cannot do. I won the most cash this season. Let’s end this poor person narrative. I am TASKUNLE. Even your faves either wanted me on their team, looked around for me during a task, were afraid of me during a task, or just strongly believed in me to carry the team on its back.

I got personal commendations from Big Brother one too many times. Even for skills and abilities some of your faves said they have/do.
There is nothing I did in that house, that wasn’t a reflection of love. Even when those who were actively against me kept their energy 100, it still didn’t matter. Even when they kept on putting me up for eviction, it still didn’t matter. I always repaid wickedness with kindness, until I couldn’t take it anymore. And even then, I didn’t see any wicked act through. I just talked and moved on.

There is nothing negative I did to any housemate, that wasn’t done to me first. I do not hate or bear any ill will toward anyone. Up until this very moment. I genuinely believe that we cannot all, and we shouldn’t all be friends. Hence, I am making a conscious and deliberate effort to avoid people that I know do not like me, or feel a certain type of way about me. Up until this moment, I still wish everyone the best. I really do wish everyone wins.

If you are faceless on the internet and you say rubbish on my page or post, I will block you. I don’t have the time for nonsense like your faves. I am not claiming to be right about everything or not having my downsides, or not recognizing my wrongs. For areas where I have fallen short, really and truly, I apologize to everyone I have hurt. I am only human and I am prone to making mistakes.

Popular Afrobeat singer, Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has shared his unreserved opinion about rap music.

The ‘Bad To Me’ crooner, speaking in a recent interview with 10 magazine, said he doesn’t listen to rap because the genre is ‘dead, boring and tired’.

He said rappers recycle the same beat, sound and rhythm, all the time and it’s out of style. The superstar singer added that Afrobeat has taken over and is currently the trending genre of music.

His words,

“Afrobeats is the new pop. I sold two million copies in America off of one song! Even some American artists don’t have a diamond record.

If I’m being honest, I don’t listen to any other genre of music anymore.”

“I don’t listen to rap – that shit is boring to me. It’s dead now, it’s tired. These guys do the same shit, rap on the same beats and the same flows,” he added.

“No disrespect to nobody. I don’t have anything against rap or any other type of music. I have a lot of rappers as friends, like a lot. So I’m probably the wrong person to say this.”

Popular Nigerian singer, Naira Marley has caused a buzz online after he was captured feeding his dogs with full chicken each.

The ‘Soapy’ crooner posted the video on his official Instagram page and it has sparked massive reactions from his fans and followers.

In the video, the singer who was surrounded by six dogs of different breeds, was seen handing out full chicken from a big bowl held by his help to the dogs.

It’s been discovered that Aminu Adamu Mohammed, the undergraduate student of Federal University, Dutse, who made a derogatory tweet about First Lady, Aisha Buhari, had threatened to deal with those who mourned Deborah Samuel Yakubu months ago.

Recall that Deborah, a 21-year-old student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, was stoned to death and set ablaze by her fellow students over alleged blasphemy in May 2022.

At the time, Aminu posted a photo of a T-shirt with Deborah’s face and the inscription, “Murdered For Peace”, and threatened to harm anyone who wears it in Bauchi State.

He wrote in the caption, “Duk Wanda yasa wannan rigar ah Bauchi sai munchi uwarsa” which translates to “whosoever wears this shirt in bauchi will be dealt with….. SEVERELY!!!”

Ghanaian music producer, Breggle Acha Derrick, has averred that dating a Nigerian woman is like taking care of an orphan.

Recall that veteran Nollywood star Rita Dominic and her husband, Fidelis Anosike, tied the knot on Saturday, November 26, in a 900-year-old abbey with a distinctive past in North Yorkshire, England.

Almost a week after the grand ceremony, a never-before-seen video of the bride with her friends moments before the wedding has surfaced online.

In the now-viral clip, Rita, while being prepped for her wedding, broke down in silent tears of gratitude while her maid of honour, Michelle Dede, tried to comfort her.

Popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson has shed more light on her experience working with actress turned politician, Funke Akindele.

Mercy, who starred in Funke’s upcoming movie ‘Battle on Buka Street’ along with other A-list actors, shared her experience on the set of the movie.

According to her, Funke Akindele, who doubled as an actress and director for the movie, is a dexterous actress who combines her different entertainment skills to produce superb movies.

The mother of four added that it’s always an amazing experience working with Funke because she is multi-talented and creative.

Popular media personality, Toke Makinwa has revealed she was robbed off her valuables in London.

The lifestyle vlogger, who was among those who attended actress Rita Dominic and her husband, Fidelis Anosike’s white wedding in North Yorkshire, England, last weekend, made this revelation on Snapchat on Wednesday night.

According to Toke, the experience left her speechless.

Fast-rising Nigerian skit maker, Funny Si Moni, has called out his senior colleague, Oluwadolarz, for snubbing his greeting at a nightclub.

He shared a video proof of the incident and also went live on his Instagram page to air his grievance with Oluwadolarz for ignoring his existence.

In the video, Si Moni and Oluwadolarz were chilling at different tables in the club with their respective friends when the latter stood up to leave his circle.

Si Moni, who wanted to grab the opportunity to talk to Oluwadolarz, stood up from his table and approached him to greet him. However, he received a rude shock when Dolarz simply walked past him and acted like he doesn’t exist.

Infuriated by the embarrassing experience, Si Moni took to his Instagarm page to call out the content creator for his ‘uncalled’ behavior, and described him as a proud person who is pompous because he’s richer than him.

A man has ended his relationship with his girlfriend after she served him stew made from spoiled tomatoes.

A WhatsApp conversation between the man and his girlfriend that is currently going viral shows him venting to the lady.

The girlfriend had asked him why he had been acting coldly toward her and demanded to know what she had done wrong.

Replying, the man narrated how he watched her add bad tomatoes to a meal she prepared for him and how she refused to eat the food, admitting that she couldn’t have a taste of what she cooked because of the bad tomatoes.

This, according to the guy, is a major turn-off because he can’t be with someone who only cares about herself. He queried why she cooked with bad tomatoes when she knew they were bad for consumption.

“To me it was never a big deal to add one bad tomato to many others, since everything will still be fried. But then, you went ahead to fry it and made the stew. You now dished out food for only me… I persuaded you to at least get a spoon n take a little from my own since you haven’t eaten anything since morning…that was when you pocked up the courage to tell me that you wont eat because of the bad tomato”.

Fuel attendant dies in a car accident while trying to chase a customer who bought fuel without paying.

A fuel attendant has sadly lost his life in a tragic accident while trying to stop a customer from absconding.

According to a Twitter user identified as Alamin, the reckless driver rammed into another car while running from the petrol station where he bought N3000 fuel and refused to pay.

He shared the story on the microblogging platform with a video of the crash.

Alamin wrote;

“A driver bought fuel of 3k yesterday night and zoomed off at high speed without paying, he later lost control and rammed into other cars resulting to the death of someone sadly. Allah ya jikan shi”

A netizen confirmed only the attendant trying to stop the driver from running away died in the terrible accident.

“The seller climbed on top of the bonnet and tried to snatch the steer wheel away from the driver resulting to the accident. You can sight the man hanging out in the first few seconds of the video. PS: he lost his life while the driver survived.” he wrote.

Young man arrested for stealing just weeks after surviving being mobbed at his last attempt.

A Nigerian man has been arrested again just weeks after he was rescued from jungle justice on his last attempt to steal a phone.

The man identified as Chinedu was first lynched at Iyanaoworo while trying to steal a phone and was beaten to a coma by a mob.

Barely three months later, he made another attempt to steal and was caught and arrested by the authorities this time.

According to reports by Lagospedia, he was arrested by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) and has been sentenced for his crimes.

27-year-old suspected Yahoo boy arrested for beating his undergraduate girlfriend to death in Ogun

Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested a 27-year-old suspected internet fraudster, “Yahoo Boy,” for beating his undergraduate girlfriend to death.

The suspect, identified as Obeta John, who resides in the Ishara area of Ogun, is said to have locked his girlfriend, Idowu Buhari, in his room and brutally assaulted her till she gave up the ghost.

Obeta, who confessed to the crime following his arrest on Tuesday, November 29, said a certain amount of money from one of his clients was paid into the account of his deceased girlfriend, which she refused to hand over to him.

He said the money led to a scuffle between them that eventually led to the death of the girl. Until her death, the deceased was a HND1 Mass Communication student at Gateway Polytechnic in Saapade.

Concerned neighbors who tried their best to persuade Obeta to open the door to stop him from attacking his girlfriend called the police to the scene of the incident.

Upon the arrival of the police, the victim was rushed to the hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival by the doctor on duty.

The spokesperson of the state police command, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the arrest, said the suspect was picked up following a distress call received at Ode-Remo divisional headquarters.

“Upon the distress call, the DPO Ode-remo division, CSP Fasogbon Olayemi quickly led his men to the scene where they met the victim in the pool of her blood after forcing the door opened. The victim was quickly rushed to State Hospital Ishara,but was pronounced dead by doctor on duty.” Oyeyemi said.

“On interrogation, the suspect, Obeta John, informed the police that he is an internet fraudster, and that certain amount of money from one of his clients was paid into the account of his deceased girlfriend which she refused to relinquish to him.

He stated further that it was the argument over the said money that led to scuffle between them which eventually led to the death of the girl.” He added.

Speaking further, Oyeyemi revealed that the state commissioner of police, CP Lanre Bankole, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
