Mavins Records finally drops fantastic video thriller for the smash hit single titled “Won Da Mo”.
The music features; Rema, LadiPoe, Crayon, Bayanni, Boy Spyce, Magixx, Ayra Starr, and Johnny Drille.
The new visual is entertaining and the song is taken from the music label’s latest album “Chapter X”.
The music video was shot and directed by Earthboi.
Nollywood actor, Charles Awurum has said some veteran thespians like him stopped featuring in every movie due to the low quality of the ones being produced nowadays.
Charles stated this in a recent interview with Punch while speaking on the minimal effort and resources movie producers invest in their movies.
According to him, some filmmakers start shooting a movie with a budget as low as N200,000 which isn’t meant to be.
He also claimed that some actors and actresses pay filmmakers in exchange for a role in their movies because they want to be famous.
Awurum said; ”People just shoot movies anyhow these days. If you do not have enough money to shoot a movie, you stop. You don’t just shoot any movie. This is why most of us, the oldies, no longer partake in every film. With N200,000, some people will move to shoot a film. Actors now pay to partake in movies just for popularity, instead of them to be paid. And where there are no producers or directors that are professionally trained, they just take a space somewhere and they shoot a film.”
He further said he is very picky about the type of movies he acts in which explains why people hardly see him in films.
”I have been shooting but I am not in every film because so many things are happening now. People are just shooting anything, any type of script that comes up. So, I choose what I do”, he said.
Awurum added; ”The industry is growing, most movies we shoot now can stand the test of time. You can match them with that of the white men. We are moving higher and as an actor, if you allow the train to leave you, you should not blame anyone or say you are being segregated. What we are shooting now is no longer what we used to shoot before; if you check the locations of the movies that we are shooting now, you will know that we have gone far. Everything seems to be like that of the western world. So, when you act in movies that will not go anywhere, you do not expect to be applauded. These people eager to be on the screen are not trained, paid, they do everything by themselves and they still pay for it.”
Addressing claims that ailing actors hardly get support from their colleagues in the movie industry, Charles said,
”I do not think the industry is not doing enough to help people. You see, when you are told to be a part of an association, belong to that association. Most of these people you see that are sick and are seeking public funds are not even part of the Actors Guild of Nigeria. We sometimes know of their illnesses very late for those of them that are part of us and we even go about to help them. The AGN is doing very well, there is nobody that is sick now that it does not help. The association even goes out of its way to help people that are not members to ensure that they are treated. They only go to the public when it goes out of what they can afford.”
Reality TV star, Nini Singh has said that she would rather be wealthy and unhappy than happy and poor.
The Big Brother Naija star and brand influencer stated this in a post on her official Instagram page when asked to choose between having riches and being sad or being happy and living like a pauper.
In response, Nini went for the “rich and sad” option and went ahead to depict scenes of her being sad and enjoying luxury.

A young man was left heartbroken and devastated after discovering that his girlfriend was impregnated by another man and planned to pin it on him.
The man, who took to a social platform to share his story, said he and his girlfriend had been struggling to conceive for a while and all of a sudden, she fell pregnant easily.
However, when she was six months pregnant, a man claiming to be his girlfriend’s lover, paid him a visit at work and told him that he had been having an affair with his girlfriend for a year and the pregnancy is his.
He said they wanted to pin the pregnancy on him because the lady didn’t want to lose her ‘perfect life’ and he also wasn’t ready to become a father.
Following the startling revelation, the heartbroken man said he pretended not to be aware of the malicious act and stayed with his girlfriend till she welcomed the child, then he dumped her in the labour room. According to him, he was planning to propose to her after delivering the baby.

She asked where I was going and I just told her.

She’s been calling my phone over and over (even sending texts as I type this) and has even gotten her sister to call me a few times.

Men of the Bauchi State Police Command have arrested a 35-year-old man, Haruna Ezekiel for allegedly killing his 80-year-old paternal uncle over witchcraft allegation.
Spokesperson of the command, SP Ahmed Wakil, who disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, December 8, said the suspect had confronted the deceased, Sunday Saleh, accusing him of initiating his son into witchcraft.
Ezekiel reportedly hit the victim, who is an octogenarian, with a stick on the head, dragged the body into his house, and then set the entire house ablaze.
As a result, the victim’s body was burnt beyond recognition. The suspect therefore packed the burnt body and buried it in a shallow grave.
“On the 06th December 2022, Information received by Tafawa Balewa Divisional Police headquarters revealed that on the 05th December 2022 complainant (name withheld) ‘m’ aged 44yrs of Gongo village while returning from market, he saw flame coming out from the house of one Sunday Saleh (Deceased) ‘m’ aged 80yrs old of the same address.
“He rushed to the scene to ascertain what was happening. On arrival, he met one Haruna Ezekiel (suspect) ‘m’ aged 35yrs of the same address at the scene and discovered that he killed and burnt the said Sunday Saleh inside the house. He (the suspect) later, dug a shallow grave and buried the body behind the burnt house.
“Preliminary investing revealed that the victim is a paternal uncle to the suspect, who alleged to have initiated the suspect’s son “Chomwanda” into witchcraft. On investigation, it was revealed that the suspect discovered that the victim who is now deceased initiated his son into witchcraft unknowingly.
“The suspect was told by his son that the victim gave him a piece of meat to eat some days ago. Later, the victim met the son and told him that the meat he ate was an initiation into witchcraft and that requires his father (the suspect) must be sacrificed in the process. On hearing this, the suspect was furious and confronted the victim about the matter, as the victim has long been suspected to be notorious for witchcraft.
“The victim (Sunday Sale) apologized to the suspect on the matter but the suspect was short-tempered and hit the victim with a stick on the head and fainted unconsciously. He dragged the victim’s body into his house and set the entire house ablaze. As a result, the victim’s body was burnt beyond recognition.
“The suspect, therefore swiftly packed the burnt body and buried it in a shallow grave behind the house. While reacting to the ugly incident, the Commissioner of Police CP Aminu Alhassan psc (+) frowned at the action of the suspect, who instead of reporting the to Police for proper investigation and prosecution, he took the law into his own hands, by gruesomely murdered the person he was suspecting without any recourse of the law.” The statement read.

A Nigerian man identified as Inyene Dominic Akpan has been called to Bar despite all the hurdles he overcame to get there.

A Nigerian man has shared the testimony of how God saved him from suspected kidnappers in Benin City, Edo state, back in 2006.
Speaking in a video shared on social media, the man, who was joyful to recount how his life was spared, said he was on his way to church when an elderly man approached him and asked for help to cross the road.
He said he willingly assisted the man and that was the last thing he could remember before waking up to find himself in a kidnapper’s den.
He said when he regained consciousness, he saw himself tied up with other victims, and heard his abductors discussing how to sell him for N30,000.
The young man said suddenly he could subconsciously hear his mum praying and he said “Amen” out loud, prompting a woman who is part of the syndicate, to ask for his identity and where he’s from.
When he mentioned that his mother is a pastor, the woman asked her men to untie him and gave him some onions to peel. According to him, when no one was looking, he grabbed the opportunity and ran for his life.

Following the birth of her first child in November, Jane has taken to her Instagram page to share a video of the moment she opened the piggy box on Wednesday, December 7.
In the video, Jane Mena, who is seen bringing out the huge piggy box from her room, opened it with the aid of a hammer before pouring out the content.
The 29-year-old mother of one was able to save different currencies, including naira and dollars, which amounted to over 4 bundles. However, she didn’t disclose the total amount saved.

Garba in a post on his Twitter page on Tuesday morning, December 7, disclosed that he is married to a woman who is his first cousin from both his mother’s and father’s sides.

In other news, a Nigerian man, simply identified as Kris, has taken to social media to celebrate his wife after she bought food items for Christmas with money she saved up.
Taking to his Facebook page, he shared the photos of the items his wife bought, which included a bag of rice, groundnut oil, and crates of eggs, to name a few.
The husband, who is astonished by his wife’s thoughtfulness, said that she had been putting money aside since January and decided to use it to do their Christmas shopping early.
“I dey parlour dey watch tv, I hear keke sound for our domot, my mind think say them bring cement for my Landlord wey dey build house. Next thing I hear na my wife voice, calling me. People of God!! Canadian singer, Celine Dion, has been diagnosed with an incurable neurological condition.
The 54-year-old singer revealed in an emotional video on her Instagram page on Thursday morning, December 8, that she’s suffering from Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS), which causes her muscles to tense uncontrollably.
The condition leaves sufferers as “human statues” as it progressively locks the body into rigid positions, ultimately leaving them unable to walk or talk.
Dion explained that the rare condition, which affects around one in a million people, affects her ability to carry out normal activities.
While there is no cure for the condition, there are treatments to slow down its progression, with Celine revealing she is doing all she can to minimize symptoms.
Speaking further, she revealed that she’s had to cancel her European tour.

He stated this in a post shared via his Twitter handle on Thursday, December 9.
“Marriage is a scam!” he tweeted.
However, many disagreed with him and asserted that marriage is not a scam as there are many couples in happy marriages.
Reacting to such comments, Pere maintained that marriage is a scam though it’s possible to find a partner that you are compatible with.

Popular Nollywood actress, Chioma Okoye, has called out her colleague, Oma Nnadi, over an alleged unpaid debt.
Chioma Okoye, in a post on her Instagram page, alleged that she had obtained a loan for Oma since last year, and when it was time to repay, Oma broke their arrangement.
She threatened to open more can of worms in a live video if Oma doesn’t reach out to her to pay up.

Nigerian skit maker and actor, Debo Adedayo better known as Mr Macaroni, has clapped back at a Twitter user who imagined that he was the one arrested over fraud allegations, instead of D’banj.
Recall that D’banj was in the news on Wednesday, December 7, after he was reportedly arrested and detained by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) over allegations of fraudulently diverting funds earmarked by the Federal Government for N-Power project.
Reacting to the news, a female Twitter user opined that assuming it was Mr Macaroni that was arrested, people would have said that the government is after “opposing voices” as the comedian is popularly known as a political activist.
“Imagine it was @mrmacaronii that was arrested for alleged N-Power fraud not D’banj .
People could have said the government are after the opposing voices,” she tweeted.
Responding to the ‘imagination’, Macaroni gave a savage response to the lady, asking her to imagine that it was her father that was arrested instead.

Former President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ayo Oritsejafor, has reportedly divorced his wife, Helen, after 25 years of marriage.
It was gathered that the clergyman and founder of Word of Life Bible Church parted ways with his wife over a longstanding and bitter issue.
Although there are discrepancies in the reason behind their split, Mama Helen, as she is fondly called by members of the church, had earlier in the year accused her husband of wanting her dead.
However, some church members, who pleaded anonymity, claimed Mama Helen is physically abusive towards Papa and attacks him at the slightest opportunity.
“She has been attacking Papa Ayo each time he came back home from Church and it’s no longer funny.
“Papa had to move out of their matrimonial home and camped in an unknown location for fear of his life because she has made some threats too”.
“Helen reportedly moved out of the matrimonial home and relocated to Britain with the kids and Pastor Oritsejafor has moved back to the house after abandoning it for almost a year,” they said.
Mama Helen, who was formerly in charge of administrative duties in the church and reigned supreme as the wife of the Church’s founder, also allegedly stopped attending church services.
Pastor Ayo Oritsejaor got married to Helen in 1997, exactly 13 months after his first wife, Stella’s demise. Together with Stella, he founded the Word of Life Church on November 15, 1987.
