A Nigerian clergywoman based in the United Kingdom, Reverend Esther Ajayi, has addressed married Nigerian couples planning to relocate abroad.
The General Overseer of the Love of Christ Generation (C & S) Church, London, spoke about the current rave among Nigerians to ‘japa’ while preaching in her church recently.
She questioned if married couples are ready to face the reality of living in a foreign clime, and if their marriage can stand the test of time abroad.
According to her, there is a wide difference between the way things work in Nigeria and abroad, so they should think properly before making the decision.
She further stated that some people live better lives in Nigeria but because of the obsession to ‘japa’, they leave Nigeria and end up living average lives abroad.
She further advised them to reconsider moving abroad if God is not leading them to migrate from Nigeria.
In light of this, she urged Nigerian women to find a husband or, even better, get married before proceeding with their relocation plans.
“There’s no husband here abroad. If you have someone you want to get married to , marry that person and bring him here. If you’re thing you will find him here, its not possible, he’s not here”.
Nollywood actress and presenter, Michelle Dede has taken to social media to express her desire to have everything her friend, Rita Dominic, prayed for when she gave her the bouquet at her white wedding in London.
Rita Dominic and her husband Fidelis Anosike had their white wedding at a manor in North Yorkshire, England, on Saturday, November 26, and Michelle was her maid of honor.

Popular Afrobeat singer, Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has replied all the Nigerian rappers that have come for him since he shared his opinion about rap music.
The ‘Bad To Me’ crooner, speaking in a recent interview with 10 magazine, said he doesn’t listen to rap because the genre is ‘dead, boring and tired’. He rated Afrobeats over other music genres and declared it the new pop.
Nigerian rappers who did not appreciate this review from Wizkid have taken to social media to voice their displeasure.
Indigenous Nigerian rapper, Oladips, who was also offended by the comment, released a diss track to lampoon Wizkid.
Taking to Snapchat, Wizkid replied to the rappers calling them broke and boldly stating that he did not recognize them as artistes when he was speaking.
According to him, there were only three rappers in Africa and none of them were Nigerians.
His words;

A young man has been nabbed for stealing N6.6 million from his friend’s bank account and using it to bet in the Badagry area of Lagos.
A video that captures the moment the culprit was confronted by his friends for committing the dastardly act has been shared online, stirring mixed reactions.
It was learnt that the victim gave his friend his ATM card to get food for him, however, he absconded with the card and linked it to a sport betting app.
He then started funding his betting account with the ATM card in small payments, totaling N6.6 million. A glimpse at his transaction history showed that he made multiple payments of 130,000 to his betting account.
Unfortunately for him, he was tracked down to Badagry, Lagos state, where he was arrested and disgraced for alleged theft.
The jeweler, identified as Hollyghost Nicki, took to her Instagram page to call out the alleged thief and shared a CCTV footage that captures the whole incident.
According to her, the young man ordered for a Moissanite diamond necklace and pendant, and requested for payment on delivery which is against her company policy, but she obliged and sent a dispatch rider to deliver the jewelry.
However, the young man played a smart move on the dispatch rider and absconded with the jewelry which costs N920k. Following the unpleasant experience, the vendor vowed not to do payment on delivery again.
Popular Nigerian singer, Portable, is in the news again for the wrong reason.
The Zazu Zeh Star, who recently released his debut album “Ika of Africa,” is alleged to have knocked a woman down with his car.
According to eyewitnesses, Portable was driving recklessly when he hit the woman in the Ipaja area of Lagos on Friday.
A video making the rounds online showed the singer profusely begging a woman who’s alleged to be the victim as he led her away from the scene where onlookers had gathered.

This comes only a few months after Portable’s driver allegedly killed a commercial motorcyclist in an accident that occurred in Ogun state.
The Ogun State Police command Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident in a chat with newsmen, said the driver was with the singer’s Range Rover jeep.
According to information obtained, the fatal incident occurred when the car’s driver was running errands for Portable.
Reacting to the incident, Portable cleared the air that he wasn’t the one driving the car, as he was at his son’s home when the accident occurred.
He added that the victim was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately passed away. Speaking further, Portable disclosed that he paid a visit to the hospital to foot the bills before the victim died and promised to bless the family of the deceased. Read here.

Speaking in an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Bisola admitted that even though it’s almost impossible to believe that she dropped out of university, she still feels like she missed out on a major part of life.

“No disrespect to nobody. I don’t have anything against rap or any other type of music. I have a lot of rappers as friends, like a lot. So, I’m probably the wrong person to say this.”
His statement, however, did not go down well with many lovers of rap music.
Oladips, who was also offended by the comment, has now released a diss track on Twitter to lampoon Wizkid.
He described the Grammy award winner as ‘Mr she tell me say’, mocking his choice of lyrics, and asked him to clean his ears so he can listen clearly.

The former American actress made this known in the latest episode of her podcast, Archetypes, where she opened up about her genetic heritage and expressed a desire to know more about her roots.
Speaking with Senegalese-American actress and comedian Issa Rae, Nigerian-American comedian and writer Ziwe Fumudoh, and professor Emily Bernards, Meghnan said she took a genealogy test which revealed that she is 43% Nigerian.
“I just had my genealogy done a couple years ago. I’m 43% Nigerian, “she said.
Reacting to the revelation, Ziwe replied, “No way!”

A Twitter user has narrated how the marriage of a couple who had been close childhood friends for fifteen years crashed only five months into the marriage.
According to the Twitter user, who claimed to be the friend of the couple, the pair were inseparable as friends, to the point where it looked like one couldn’t live without the other.
Sadly, barely four months into their marriage, things went south, and they finally got a divorce a month later.
sharing the tale online, their friend wrote,
“A friend of mine married her childhood boyfriend of 15yrs, had a child together who later died, they were inseparable. They got married and dint last for 5mnths. Infact, na abeg we do wey e pass 4months 😅💔.
“Na so 😂 I still can’t comprehend the problem allah. If you see them then enn, Chunduna can’t breath without Elizabeth and vice versa, the parents got tired and let it happen. Today, all of them can breath without each other 😭making love look like a scam.”
In related news, a young Nigerian lady, identified simply as Bola, has taken to TikTok to advise ladies against marrying a man because he impregnated them.
Bola, who gave this advise from her personal experience, disclosed that her marriage crashed barely three months after it was contracted.
She accused her husband of physically assault, and claimed he stabbed her while she was pregnant with their child. She said she had to leave the marriage because she couldn’t continue anymore even though she’s heartbroken.
She further advised ladies not to get married to a man solely because they fell pregnant for him.
Sharing a video montage consisting of her court and traditional wedding pictures, she wrote, “It hurts my marriage doesn’t last three months Pregnancy doesn’t mean you two should marry”.
American rapper, Kanye West, also known as Ye, has disclosed that pornography destroyed his family.
Taking to Twitter on Friday morning, December 2, West asked Twitter and other social media platforms to take down all obscene content.
“The use of Porn destroyed my family but Jesus will heal everything. Remove any and all forms of pornography from Twitter and every platform Pornography is the product of pedophilia When grown men look at porn they are watching someone’s daughter relive trauma for money”. He tweeted.

In other news, Kanye West and his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, have officially ended their marriage.
The former couple finalized their divorce and came to an agreement about child custody and property.
According to divorce documents obtained by TMZ, Kanye and Kim will have joint physical and legal custody of their four children, and neither will pay the other spousal support.
However, Kanye will be required to pay Kardashian $200,000 a month in child support. He will also be responsible for half of the children’s medical, educational, and security expenses.
He also relinquished the $4.5 million home he bought across from Kim’s house last year after Kim filed for divorce, saying he bought the house to be close to his children. Kim will be responsible for all expenses related to the 5-bedroom home.
The settlement also states that he gets to keep his $60 million Malibu home, two ranches in Wyoming, 300 acres in Calabasas, a home in Belgium, and his childhood home, which he bought in Chicago. Read here.
A young Nigerian man has been left completely heartbroken after catching his girlfriend cheating.
The heartbroken man, identified as @drpenking on Twitter, said he caught the girlfriend in bed with his friend.
It appears she was having an affair with his friend while in a relationship with him, and he only just found out when he caught them together.
Meanwhile, the doctor had taken to Twitter a few months ago to praise the girlfriend and how he doesn’t deserve her after she surprised him with a gift after he finished his housemanship.

Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, Mrs. Zainab Ahmed, has revealed that Nigeria is not broke and can pay its debts in the short, medium, and long terms.
Ahmed reported on her ministry’s performance over the last seven years on Thursday, December 1 in Abuja.
“Nigeria isn’t broke. We continue to generate revenue on a monthly basis and these revenues are distributed at FAAC. We also disclose how much is distributed monthly to the three tiers of government.” she said.
The Minister added that although the nation does not make enough money, its revenue is increasing and oil thefts are decreasing as well. She also disclosed that NNPC currently produces roughly 1.3 million barrels daily, up from about 800,000 earlier.
In her words;
“We have also witnessed a significant increase in non-oil revenue. Unfortunately, oil revenue has underperformed because of criminality but recently the NNPC has reported that it has been curtailed and we are beginning to see a pick-up in the production levels. This means more revenue will come to the government. What we have isn’t enough to cover what we need hence the borrowings.
There is a debt management board chaired by the Vice President. The debt management strategies are being followed judiciously. At 33 percent to GDP, we are still the lowest within countries that are our comparatives.
But again, I still say we have a revenue problem in spite of the increase in non-oil revenue because our performance 8-9 percent of GDP, and the revenue is not enough. We are a population of about 200 million who deserve service. Our consumption level is low. So we need to keep looking for ways to incentivize the business so MSMEs who are the largest contribution to labor and the economy continue to grow.
A total of N5.03 trillion plus an additional US$3.4 billion has been released to states by the Federal Government over the life of this administration. The support covers the 13% Derivation Refund to Oil Producing States, a refund for the Construction of Federal Roads, Ecological Support, Support from the Development of Natural Resources Fund, Paris Club refunds, Support from the Stabilization Fund, COVID-19 intervention, amongst others.”
Popular Nollywood actress, Damilola Adegbite has revealed that she was a victim of a robbery attack in London.
Taking to her Instagram page on Thursday, December 1, Damilola stated that her handbag containing her phone and all her money was stolen, and she was almost left stranded in the UK save for the help of a good Samaritan.
According to her, the incident happened like a movie as she had to involve the Metropolitan Police but unfortunately, she was unable to retrieve the stolen items.
Interestingly, she said she got a notification from Apple that her iPhone is now in China.
Recounting the incident, Damilola wrote,
“Regardless of where you are or where you plan to go, the most important thing is for God to be with you. My handbag was stolen some weeks ago in London. My phone and all my money for the trip gone in a second, literally. MET police had to get involved. It was like a movie. Thank God for a helper. I would have been stranded in a foreign land. A Nigerian businesswoman has narrated how a man stole a piece of jewelry worth N920,000 from a dispatch rider she sent to deliver the item.
The jeweler, identified as Hollyghost Nicki, took to her Instagram page to call out the alleged thief and shared a CCTV footage that captures the whole incident.
According to her, the young man ordered for a Moissanite diamond necklace and pendant, and requested for payment on delivery which is against her company policy, but she obliged and sent a dispatch rider to deliver the jewelry.
However, the young man played a smart move on the dispatch rider and absconded with the jewelry which costs N920k. Following the unpleasant experience, the vendor vowed not to do payment on delivery again.

“PAYMENT ON DELIVERY SCAM ALERT 🚨
On Monday 28/11/22, i got scammed of N920,000 by a supposed customer. Our transaction went thus:
I received a WhatsApp message from this person named “Ola Nelson”. He said he wanted to purchase a moissanite diamond necklace and pendant. And proceeded to select from the available options. After negotiations he agreed to pay 920k for the selected goods but insisted on payment on delivery. Usually this mode of payment is not acceptable but due to the way our conversation went I agreed and sent one of my dispatch riders to handle the delivery.
The rider set off and soon got to Lekki to make the delivery, he called Ola to confirm his location which was suppose to be an office address but he was redirected to meet up with him at The Place restaurant along admiralty way, Lekki. The rider thought this was suspicious but followed through as it’s not uncommon for customers to change delivery address. It was at this new address the “Ola Genius” managed to scam my rider and made away with the jewelries without paying for it.
HOW DID HE PART AWAY WITH THE JEWERIES?
He asked the Rider to unbox the package so that he could test the authenticity of the jewelry, which the rider agreed to after this test, Ola was expected to make payment for the goods immediately but instead, he messaged me asking that I confirm the account he was to make payment to. I confirmed it was the correct account details but at this point I started to get impatient Next thing, he asked the rider to wear him the jewelry on his neck so that he could check the fitting I guess and the rider “foolishly” did that even after my strict warnings. Few minutes later, the guy told the rider that he had made the transfer, so the rider in turn called me for confirmation which I was yet to confirm. Then the “Ola genius” told my rider he wanted to quickly step out to get something while the jewelry was still on his neck. The rider actually forgot to remove the jewelry from his neck because he believed the Ola genius had intentions of buying it already and so the guy stepped out and never returned and till date, I have not received any payment from him.
When I texted him to notify him that my rider was still waiting for him and I had not received the money he said he did not collect anything and he BLOCKED my number right away.
It was at this point I confirmed that all details he gave to me during the purchase process were fake but I’m yet to get a hold of him.
What a huge Loss of N920,000 In this hard Nigerian economy that is not smiling at all 😭
I have attached the CCTV video I was able to get from the restaurant which revealed that he went away through the back gate of the restaurant and never returned. Also, I attached screenshot of our transactions.
