Reality TV star, Queen Mercy Atang has called out veteran actress, Uche Ebere, for constantly criticizing female Big Brother Naija stars.

Mercy took to her Instagram page to share her grievance after the 51-year-old actress slammed disqualified BBNaija level-up housemate, Beauty Tukura, for saying N100 million is small change. ICYMI

Queen, reacting to her comment, slammed Uche Ebere for her incessant attacks and told her to leave BBNaija products alone and focus on her acting career.

She also recounted how she cried her eyes out after the actress lambasted her following her participation in the BBNaija ‘shine ya eye’ edition in 2021.

Speaking further, the former beauty queen told Uche Ebere to correct them privately if she genuinely cares instead of trolling them online.

Two men have been arrested for possessing a woman’s severed head in Abuja.

Peter Ochigbo, 42 and Samuel Bachu, 35, a married father-of-five, were arrested this week by police in Abuja.

When the siuspects were interrogated, questioned, Peter Ochigbo said he was set up by his friend named Peter Etuma and it was this Etuma that took him to Abuja and provided him with the head.

He claimed Peter Etuma called him to meet him somewhere and he did, not knowing he had called the police, and when the police arrived they found him with the human head and arrested him.

A Nigerian woman has reportedly filed for a divorce because she doesn’t want to be controlled by a man who’s below her educationally.

According to Twitter user @Abdullahiabba_ who relayed the incident, his cousin – the woman’s husband – dropped out of school to support his wife’s education and saw her through to the highest level of education, PhD.

However, after she bagged her doctoral degree, she said she can’t continue with the marriage because she can’t submit to a man with his level of education.

Instagram comedian and actress, Nons Miraj popularly known as Ada Jesus, has revealed the reason she ditched Nollywood for skit-making.

Speaking in an interview with Saturday Beats, Nons Miraj said she earns more money from skit-making and possesses more creative freedom than when she was acting in movies.

According to her, she used to be paid as low as N30,000 per movie and would spend days on set whereas with content creation, she has freedom to do as she pleases and dictate her price.

“Content creation has changed my life in a very big way. I remember when I used to act in Nollywood films, I would be paid as little as N30,000, and they would keep me on set for one week. Sometimes, one would get stressed. They won’t even give one preferential treatment. But, with skits, one does things on one’s accord.

One is not working under anybody. One dictates the amount one wants to be paid based on the services one is rendering to the people that are paying for adverts. The life is just soft and sweet. Content creation is beautiful, as long as one is doing the right thing.”

She further stated that she would never act nude for a comedy skit regardless of the amount she’s offered.

“I cannot go nude in a skit because things on social media will always backfire. People feel that Nollywood is different from skit making. When they see one do things in films, they could say one was following the instruction of the director or producer. But for skits, the buck stops on one’s table as the owner of the page.

If the story is bad, one would be blamed. If the acting is bad, one would be blamed as well. I would never go nude in a skit because social media never forgets. There are other jobs that can pay me enough money without me exposing my body,” Nons added.

The ace music producer passed away on Friday, November 25, after battling with an undisclosed ailment in the hospital.

RMD also went online to relay how heartbroken he is by the news, and disclosed that he spent two weeks with Sammie Okposo in America last month.

2022 FIFA World Cup host, Qatar became the first host country of the tournament to get eliminated after its first two games following a loss to Senegal on Friday November 25.

Qatar plunged into a second successive defeat in Group A on Friday, losing 3-1 to Senegal. Their loss came after they were defeated by Ecuador 2-0 in their group opener on Sunday and leaves them with zero chance of qualifying for the knockout phase after Ecuador and the Netherlands played out a 1-1 draw.

The host country still have one final game against the Netherlands on Tuesday, and should they manage to pull off a shock win, they can only finish on a total of three points, which is not enough to catch their group rivals.

A Nigerian man has been in pain after taking his metal piggy box to a bank in the hopes of depositing his savings, only to discover that the money had gone bad.

He had obviously been stashing cash for a while inside the box and would have anticipated seeing a sizable amount of cash when he eventually opened it.

He recently brought the box to a bank and opened it there, but regrettably, all the money inside had rotted away.

A video currently making the rounds shows the rusty piggy bank and the wads of decayed naira notes that have been transferred into a bag. Bank employees can be seen examining the bad notes and feeling sorry for the man.

A Twitter user has narrated how a couple’s wedding which was slated for this December got called off after the groom discovered that his bride-to-be recently paid her ex a visit.

The user with the handle, @jojonitq, in their tweet, revealed that the groom discovered that his woman paid her ex-boyfriend a visit after their engagement and after the bride was confronted about it, her defense was that the visit was a friendly one.

The user wrote,

“My Friends wedding that was supposed to take place by december was called off today, her Fiancé discovered she visited her ex boyfriend after their engagement, she said it was just a friendly visitation”

In other news, Nollywood actress, Etinosa Idemudia has reacted to a list of things to check in your girlfriend before you marry her and slammed a troll that insulted her for her opinion.

The list was posted by a man identified as Emmanuel, who outlined all the criteria a girlfriend has to meet before her status could be upgraded.

He wrote;

Netizens have reacted to the sad video of a man who lost all his savings because the notes decayed in the box he saved them in.

The man took the box to his bank to lay a complaint but the naira notes were damaged beyond repair after being kept in a metal container that seemed to have rusted.
People who were at the scene expressed their shock and pain with the situation and recommended people always store their money in banks to avoid depressing tales.

Nollywood actresses, Uche Ogbodo and Uche Ebere, have knocked disqualified Big Brother Naija housemate, Beauty Tukura, for saying N100 million is a ‘small change’.

Beauty had stated this during an Instagram live session. According to her, N100 million, which was the grand prize for the BBNaija level-up season, is a small sum of money and she cannot be found struggling for it.
