The Lagos state police command has released six and detained two of singer Davido’s eight domestic staff that were initially invited for questioning over the singer’s 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi’s death.

YabaleftOnline reported yesterday that eight domestic staff working as minders to Davido’s son, Ifeanyi, were invited to the station to give their own account of what happened. Read here.

The command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed this to newsmen, said,

“Domestic staff at Davido’a home have been taken to the station to give their own account of what happened. I wouldn’t call that arrest yet. If after they all give their own account of what happened and after preliminary investigations, if anyone of them is found culpable, the person will now be placed under arrest”.

In an updated development, a source revealed that following serious interrogation, six of the domestic staff have been released while the chef and the nanny have been detained.

“Nanny was with Ifeanyi and the Chef came to join them. The Nanny was said to have moved slightly away to receive a call.

When she returned, she couldn’t find Ifeanyi and assumed he was with the Chef but the Chef said he had left Ifeanyi with her. They began to frantically look for Ifeanyi all over the house for close to 20 mins until a security guard spotted him in the pool.” The source said.

Davido’s son with his fiancée, Chioma, Ifeanyi died on Monday night, October 31st after he drowned in a swimming pool in the singer’s home.

Popular Nigerian-American singer, Olurotimi Akinosho better known as Rotimi, and his partner, Tanzanian singer, Vanessa Mdee, are expecting baby number two.

The Power actor took to his Instagram page to announce the good news with a lovely gender reveal video where they discovered that they are expecting a girl.

The couple are already parents to son, Seven, whom they welcomed in September 2021.

A young Nigerian man identified as Josh has raised alarm on the tragic event that happened to him in Warri, Delta state.

He took to the micro-blogging platform to share how he lost a lot of money in a bizarre robbery experience immediately after he left the bank.

According to him, the armed thieves came with a Pos machine, after robbing him of the cash he carried, they used his ATM card to collect more money from his account.

In his words;

“Just got robbed at gunpoint minutes ago after leaving the bank, they literally emptied me. They had a POS with them that they used after collecting the cash I had on me. Y’all be safe out there.”

Delta State, Police PRO, Bright Edafe advised the victim to visit a police station and report the incident and contact him when he got there to help speed up the process, but he said he has already filed a report.

Popular investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has claimed that social media big boy, Ramos Abbas Igbalode also known as Hushpuppi has been sentenced to prison.

Although the United States District Court hasn’t confirmed his sentence for the Central District of California which had slated the sentence for 3rd November, Kemi has however given an update.

The controversial journalist, took to twitter to announce Hushpuppi was sentenced to 11 years imprisonment in a federal prison in the United States.

In her words;

”UPDATE Just like I predicted 10-15yrs, Hushpuppi is sentenced to 11 yrs in US federal prison. He will spend 9 yrs less the two years spent. Once released he will be deported to Nigeria or file asylum in as he claims DCP Kyari will harm him and his family.”

In related news, Hushpuppy’s verified Instagram account with 2.8 million followers has been deactivated amidst his ongoing trial in the United States.

Recall that the famous yahoo boy was extradited from Dubai in 2020 and his trial had since been postponed for the final hearing more than twice.

The sentencing was initially moved by Judge Wright from February 14 to July 11, 2022, before shifting it to September 21 and now November 7.

In a recent development, the 2.8 million followers page of Hushpuppi has, however, disappeared from the image-sharing platform.
It’s uncertain if this was officially taken down by Instagram or if the page is temporarily disabled by someone with access to the page.

A 42-year-old mother took to social media to show her quite glaring transformation after she got divorced.

Emma Sheppard, 42, from Blackpool, England, ended things with her husband of 18 years in 2020. According to Emma, her busy life as a wife had left her unhappy.

Two years later, Emma says she has turned her life around. The mum-of-two joined a gym and ditched junk food, instead eating healthy meals she cooks at home.

She also started going out again and set up an account on Tinder. Emma revealed she has since received loads of attention from men.

She said: “I looked old empty and drained, but now I’m living my best life. I’m happy and I look completely different.”

Emma, who tied the knot in 2000 at aged 22, said: “I’d married for life. It was him, the girls and work. I felt I’d got it all sorted.”

But the relationship started to dwindle several years ago and her husband then moved out in January 2021, and the divorce was finalised in October of that year.

“It was really bad after he left, it really broke me. I felt worthless – I was having panic attacks,” she admitted.

“I had no confidence in myself and was so isolated. I was just existing, working to pay the bills and just getting through.

“One day I woke up and thought, ‘You come from a family of strong women, you are free and you can make a difference in your life’.

“I realised I can be so much more. It was like a force from somebody watching over me.”

First, she gave her wardrobe an overhaul. She also started wearing makeup and cut her 20-a-day smoking habit to just four.

She started going to the gym for weights and cardio five times a week.

Emma says she also switched up her eating habits, replacing egg and chips and bacon sandwiches with chicken pasta and homemade bolognaise.

She said: “Everything about me is completely different now.

“People say I look incredible compared to before, and I think it’s because I’m so happy inside.

“The oddest thing is that I really believed I was happy when we were married.

“I realise now I was emotionally detached then because I was so worried about looking after everyone.

“Now I just smile all the time. And this is just the beginning.”

Emma does not have a new partner yet, but is looking for love on Tinder.

She said: “It was funny to get hit on by that Love Island guy. I didn’t recognise him at first but I thought, ‘My type on paper’.

“I worked it out when we talked over Snapchat and I saw videos of him. He was messaging saying how pretty I was and that I don’t look like 42.

“It was very flattering, and a shock, and quite funny.”

A Nigerian chef and restaurant consultant, Ladipo Ayodeji, has revealed that he hurriedly married his wife in court before the Ooni of Ife will have his eyes on her.

Sharing photos from his court wedding which was held in Lagos on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, Adedeji, who goes by the nickname Chefdeee on Instagram, wrote;

“Bcos the fear of Ooni is the beginning of wisdom. I sharply go marry my wife before the guy go see her for road.”

The revered monarch recently revealed why he decided to marry multiple wives in quick succession at his 48th birthday celebration and seventh coronation anniversary.

He explained that he tried to switch things up with his style of ruling the people of Ife, but it didn’t work.

Pastor Tobi Adegboyega of Salvation Proclaimer Ministries Church, (SPAC Nation), has canceled his birthday bash in London.

He said he is doing this in solidarity with the Adelekes following the passing of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi Adeleke Jnr on Monday night.

The pastor’s birthday party is an annual event he holds in the United Kingdom and is usually strictly by invitation.

Adegboyega said that the party would no longer take place on the 11th of November 2022 as scheduled and gave details on how people who had bought tickets for the forthcoming worship program can retrieve their money.

The UK-based clergyman took to Instagram to share a video of himself making the announcement as he also sent out his prayers to the Adelekes and families who are mourning worldwide.

”It’s a sad time, very sad, but we must stand in faith and hope for the sake of the bereaved.

The death of the young child brought out sympathy for the parents from a lot of Nigerians and many have been sending prayers to them, Afeez however did not agree with this show of support.

Following the death of Davido and his fiancée, Chioma’s son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, the presidential aspirants of the three major political parties in Nigeria have taken to social media to sympathize with the couple.

Recall that the three-year-old passed away on Monday, October 31, after drowning in a swimming pool in the singer’s Banana Island home in Lagos.

Reacting to the tragic news, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu took to Twitter to send his condolences to the celebrity couple on behalf of himself and his wife, Remi Tinubi.

He wrote, “Oluremi and I send our heartfelt and deepest condolences to David, Chioma, and the entire Adeleke family over the tragic loss of their son, Ifeanyi. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. May the Lord grant them the fortitude and strength to deal with this painful tragedy.”

Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra state and the Presidential Aspirant of Labour Party, on his part wrote,

“I send my sincere condolences to Davido and Chioma, over the death of their son Ifeanyi. I cannot begin to imagine the pains they are going through at the moment. May God grant them healing, strength and comfort in this trying time. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.-PO”

Photos showing Migos rapper Takeoff’s last moments before he was shot dead in Houston are making the rounds online.

It was earlier reported that the 28-year-old rapper was gunned down in the Texas city on Tuesday, November 1.

Takeoff is said to have been playing a dice game with his bandmate Quavo when a fight broke out at the bowling alley, 810 Billiards & Bowling, at 2.30am on Tuesday. Read here.

Photos and videos shared online show the rapper laying in a pool of his own blood as people surround him in confusion and distortion.

Meanwhile, the last photo Takeoff posted on his Instagram Stories before his death was shared with the audio to the song titled “Stop Breathing” by Playboi Carti.

Other photos showing the singer’s last moments before the incident that has now gone viral showed him smoking outside the venue; another showed him (in a white t-shirt) playing dice with Quavo (red t-shirt), and others said to be family and friends.

A fan also took a photo with Takeoff and shared it on Instagram during the night out – that is believed to be the last photo he posed for.

The couple had traveled for a family gathering to Ibadan yesterday and had left Ifeanyi with his minders who can’t explain how he entered the pool without being noticed and drowned.

We gathered that quite a number of people at Davido’s House when the incident happened have been arrested.

A distraught and inconsolable Davido was removed from Evercare Hospital and taken to his father’s house where he remains as at press time.

DMW boss, Davido, and his family are currently in mourning following the death of their son, Ifeanyi, who just turned three a few days ago. Little Ifeanyi died late Monday, October 31st after he drowned in a swimming pool in his father’s Banana Island home.

Taking to his Instagram story moments ago, YBNL boss, Olamide, sympathized with the bereaved singer.

Olamide prayed for divine strength for Davido to pull through this very dark time.

British-Nigerian professional boxer, Anthony Joshua has said he will be taking a short-hiatus from boxing so that he can rest mentally.

Popular Nigerian comedienne, Damilola Adekoya, popularly known as Princess, has reacted after receiving heavy backlash online for not condoling with singer, Davido, on the death of his son, Ifeanyi.

Recall that the 3-year-old died on Monday, October 31, after drowning in a swimming pool in his father’s home in Banana Island, Lagos.

News of his death shook the Nigerian cyberspace to its core and netizens trooped to social media in their numbers to mourn his sudden passing.

However, Princess took to her Instagram page on Tuesday morning, November 1, to share a casual post and failed to acknowledge the young lad’s death.

This did not sit well with a lot of people who flooded her comment section with criticisms, insults and curses for not sympathizing with Davido.

Reacting to the negative comments, Princess, in a video shared on her page, fired back at those dragging and laying curses on her for keeping mute about Ifeanyi’s death.

She said she was not aware of the drowning incident and didn’t know Ifeanyi was dead, and innocently shared the post online.

According to Princess, she was very busy with personal activities and didn’t hear the news until people started insulting her for posting online.

Following Ifeanyi’s death, Davido’s foster brother revealed in a post on his Insta-stories that the family had earlier received a prophecy about the incident, but it was taken for granted.

Amid this, a post that was shared on Facebook in January by Prophet Samuel warning about the impending danger on Ifeanyi started making the rounds online.

In the post, he had asked the singer to pray against the arrow of death, especially against his son.

“PRAY FOR DAVID ADELEKE aka Davido . In a vision I saw 2022 with so many opportunities for him, reward and awards! This is the biggest year for him even until 2023! But let’s pray Against any arrow of death ESPECIALLY against his son! Any any close loved ones. God revealed this to me That it will happen if prayers are not MADE. I see T and Y as a very significant clue to this prophecy as well. THINGS ARE HAPPENING!” The post read.

However, the clergyman, has now spoken out about the prophecy in an updated post that he titled “GLOBAL ACCURATE PROPHECY CONFIRMED.”

Prophet Samuel, who claimed that the prophecy was in two parts, asked Davido to reach out to him to avert a mirror of this tragic incident in 2023.

Davido‘s Son has died , fulfilling the prophecy given in 7th of JANUARY 2022 by the PROPHET ,with a call of warning to pray for his son! A South African man has narrated how he was set up by a thief who stole his laptop after meeting up with him to buy it back.

The man had earlier taken to Twitter to reveal that he received an email from the thief, who was ‘kind enough’ to attach a copy of the project he was working on. He also told him to reach out if he needs any other documents from the laptop before he sells it to an available buyer.

He wrote, “They stole my laptop last night and they sent me an email using my email, I have mixed emotions now.”

After sharing the email online, it quickly went viral and netizens advised him to contact the thief and offer to buy the laptop back, instead of selling it off to another buyer.

He took the advise and sent an email to the robber, offering to purchase the laptop from him. They then agreed on a price, and a date and time was set for the exchange.

The man however received a rude shock when he was jumped by the thief at their meetup point and was robbed again. He said his phone and money was taken from him.

According to him, he will never take advice from strangers on the internet again.

“Back and safe but not okay. It was a trap they gave me a beating and took the R5k and my phone. If it wasn’t the taxi driver that decided to stop when he saw the situation it would have been worse than this. NEVER take advice on the internet. ”

A fire outbreak on Adeola Odeku Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Tuesday morning, November 1, has reportedly left many dead and others critically injured.

The fire was said to have been caused by a generator explosion that occurred in the area this morning.

Eyewitnesses disclosed that a car belonging to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), which was parked outside the building, also caught fire.

Videos from the scene of the incident, which is said to have left scores of people dead and others severely injured, showed people being pulled out of the fire.

However, confirming the incident, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said nine people, all male adults, suffered burns and injuries in the fire and were taken to an unnamed hospital.

“Investigation gathered at the scene revealed the fire emanated from the generator house,” LASEMA said.

“You’ve done more harm than good to me” – BBNaija star, Phyna lashes out at her fans (Video)

Big Brother Naija level-up winner, Phyna, has lashed out at her fans as she warns them to stay off her business.

The hype lady turned reality TV star, who broke down in a video she shared on Snapchat, said her fans, popularly known as Phynation, have caused her more harm than good.

Phyna, who noted that she’s been going through a lot lately, asked fans of other former housemates to stop comparing her to her colleagues and to allow her to live her life as she pleases.

She bemoaned the level of dragging she’s had to face since the end of the show and said she’s not cut for that.

“I want everyone out of my business, I love you guys, I love you Phynation but it seems you guys have caused more ham than Good to me. Ive been going though a lot lately I really wish everybody should just stay off my business, and let me be. I don’t know if you guys want me to fall into depression, but I’m not giving room for that.

Nigerian singer, Oluwafemi Oladapo better known as Slimcase, has berated his colleagues in the entertainment industry for moving on so quickly from the death of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi.

He went live on his Instagram to express his grievance with his colleagues after seeing that some had resumed posting normal contents on their social media pages barely 12 hours after Ifeanyi’s death.

According to the 40-year-old singer, he finds it appalling that people don’t take time to grieve over the dead and simply move on with their daily lives.

He referenced the recent death of reality TV star, Rico Swavey, and pointed out how his co-stars and friends moved on so fast.

Slim Case further declared that no celebrity should post a content unrelated to Davido and his late son today to show respect for the grieving singer. He said Davido is a legend and the least they can do is condole with him as he mourns his son.

Ifeanyi Adeleke died on Monday, October 31, after drowning in a swimming pool in the singer’s Banana Island home in Lagos.

Popular actor and comedian, AY Makun has written an open letter to God over the tragic demise of singer, Davido and his fiancée, Chioma’s son, Ifeanyi, who died at the tender age of 3.

Taking to his Instagram page to speak to God, AY said humans will never understand why He will give them a blessing and allow the devil to take it so quickly.

He said no parent desires to live longer than their children and it’s not fair for someone like Davido who helps people a lot to suffer such a devastating loss.

The father of two went on to pray for strength for Davido and Chioma as they continue to mourn the sudden death of their little boy.

Nigerian businessman, Wale Jana, has advised people against posting everything on social media, as he declares that the social space is now toxic.

Wale Jana, who gave the warning in a post on his Instagram page, said there are evil eyes on social media monitoring people’s progress and casting spells and incantations on their pictures.

According to him, putting one’s personal life out there is like sleeping in a house with no gate and no windows.

He further revealed that he’s going private on Instagram to limit the people who can see his posts.

“There are evil eyes on social media monitoring your progress and casting spells and incantations on your pictures, If it’s special to you don’t post it!! I’m going private on Instagram, I’m limiting my battles, no more feast for witches and envious people.

This comes after singer Davido’s son with fiancée, Chioma, Ifeanyi, died a few days after his third birthday.

The 3-year-old died on Monday night, October 31st, after he drowned in his father’s residence in Lagos. He was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead on arrival.

A yet-to-be identified man has been rescued from jumping off a bridge in an apparent suicide attempt in Lagos.

A viral video making rounds online captures the moment passersby employed tactical efforts to save the middle-aged men who was trying to end his own life.

In the trending clip, the man could be seen sitting on a bridge with the intention to jump down and end it all, but people underneath the bridge swung into a rescue mission to save him.

They started throwing stones at the man to distract him from jumping off the bridge before a man clung to him and pulled him off the concrete, forcing him to abort his suicide mission.

The suspect, a senior member of the Democratic Party (DP) and a former National Secretary for the DP Women’s League, presented herself to the Lacor police post in Bardege-Layibi division, Gulu city, after she allegedly stabbed her husband, a medical doctor, to death.

The couple reportedly had a heated argument at their home in Keyi ‘’A’’ Cell in Kabedpong Ward, Gulu City on Friday, October 28, at around 11 p.m.

Amony allegedly picked up a knife and stabbed her husband, who died on the way to Gulu Regional Referral Hospital. After the incident, she reported herself to the police for alleged murder.
