An old video of embattled businessman, Ikechukwu Darry Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, begging his wife, Bimbo, not to leave him has surfaced online.
Bimbo, a mother of five and wife of the Lagos businessman, died from severe burn injuries she sustained after being incinerated during a fight with her husband in their Lagos home.
Following Bimbo’s death, different stories about her over 20-year relationship with IVD have been shared online. While Bimbo’s family accused her husband, IVD, of killing her and subjecting her to domestic violence all through their years of marriage, relationship expert, Blessing Okoro, opined that IVD was the victim of domestic violence in the marriage and shared alleged evidence to back up her claim.
Meanwhile, Bimbo, prior to her death, had called her husband out on social media, narrating how she had been a victim of domestic abuse in their marriage. They, however, reconciled afterwards, and everyone believed all was now well in their home.

As netizens query why she stayed in the marriage and endured domestic violence for over two decades, an old video of IVD begging his wife not to leave him after one of their fights has surfaced online.
Instagram blogger, Gistlover, shared the video on the platform with the caption,

An Enugu State High Court has discharged one of the two siblings accused of gruesomely murdering a makeup artist, Ijeoma Nneke.
The siblings, Chiamaka Ifezue and Chukwuemeka Ifezue, were arrested in February 2021 in connection with the alleged murder of the Enugu-based makeup artist, Ijeoma.
They were subsequently arraigned in court for allegedly forcing the deceased to drink a poisonous substance that caused her death. Read here.
It was alleged that Chiamaka allegedly lured Ijeoma to her home by inviting her for a makeup job. She thereafter allegedly conspired with her brother, Chukwuemeka, to kill Ijeoma for having an affair with her boyfriend.
However, the trial judge, Justice K.I. Okpe, in his ruling, discharged Chukwuemeka of the charges against him. The judge held that there was no evidence that he actually participated in the commission of the crime.
A court document sighted on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, showed that Chukwuemeka Ifezue was discharged from the crime on July 28, 2022, SaharaReporters reports.
At the resumed trial on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, the case could not go on as the defense counsel, Mr. Chuma Oguejiofor, informed the court that he had filed an appeal against the continued trial of the case.
The prosecution counsel, Mrs. C. C. Chigbo, however, told the court that she had not been served the notice of the appeal.
Consequently, Justice Okpe adjourned the case till November 30, 2022, for the defense to open their case.
The court in the last two sittings had admitted into evidence police exhibits in the case of the alleged murder of the makeup artist.
Chigbo led the Prosecution Witness 7 (PW7), Sgt. Udeze Oguguo, a police officer, in evidence to tender the exhibits.
Oguguo, who was attached to the Independence Layout Police Division, Enugu, said that the exhibits were recovered at the scene of the alleged crime.
The exhibits included five pieces of 20 British pounds, an iPhone 7plus with MTN SIM card, another iPhone device, and a blackberry phone.
Others are a broken 9Mobile SIM card, an itel phone, another black phone (no brand name), an MTN SIM pack, and makeup tools belonging to the deceased.
A Nigerian man has gone online to question God after a van he saved up money to buy to start up a logistics business went up in flames.
The man with Twitter handle @Damzi__ took to the platform to share his misfortune in the early hours of Wednesday, October 19.
He had early taken to Twitter on Monday, October 17, to announce the purchase of the bus which he claimed he bought after saving consistently for three years.
Sharing photos of the van, he wrote,

Barely 48 hours after sharing the news, Damzi disclosed that the bus caught fire and was completely burnt in the inferno.
The distraught man posted photos of the burning bus and wrote,
“Does God really exit?? My car got burnt without no single help, who have I offend? For years I have been struggling with life, why didn’t God take my life while i was working hard to safe this money? Why now that I think things are better for me?
Will I survive this? 💔💔😭

Damzi’s post has been met with mixed reactions, as netizens opined that he is a fraud, lying about the incident to gain public sympathy and donations from unsuspecting people.
Reacting to the negative comments, Damzi maintained that he was not lying. He wrote,
“Why the insults? Where have I gone wrong? Things have been happening to me and I decided to speak up probably I get help, I just lost a property I starved and denied myself pleasure to get. And all i get is insult? You want me dead? The comments are breaking me 😭💔”
A office custodian working at a medical office in Houston has been arrested for allegedly urinating in the water bottle of a co-worker, infecting her with an STD.
The victim, who spoke anonymously, said she starting taking her own water to work after noticing that water from the office dispenser smelled and tasted funny. On days she didn’t finish the water, she would leave the bottle in the office to drink the next day.
She however noticed that the water she brings from home starting smelling and tasting bad as well, but didn’t know the cause.
One fateful day in September, when a colleague offered to make coffee for her, she asked them to use water from her bottle instead of the office dispenser because of the foul smell.
Her co-worker looked at the bottle and pointed out that the water looked yellow, which prompted her to smell it.
“I raised it to my face, smelled it, and it smelled like urine,” the victim said.
A doctor at the hospital conducted a urinalysis on the water, which confirmed that it was indeed contaminated with urine.
The victim then set up a spy camera in the office to catch the culprit. She discovered that the office custodian, whose name was given as Lucio Catarino Diaz, has been rubbing his penis on her water bottle and peeing in it.
She reported the case to the police, gave them the video footage and two water bottles as evidence, leading to the arrest of Diaz.
Lab tests further confirmed that the victim, a married mother of two, had contracted an STD that she did not have before. The suspect also tested positive to the same disease.
“It’s really just disgusting and my client will suffer the consequences of this man’s action for the rest of her life,” the victim’s attorney, Kim Spurlock said.
11 other victims have also come forward and are being tested for STDs.
Meanwhile, Diaz has been charged with aggravated assault and is being held on immigration hold.

A woman has taken to social media to call out her bestfriend seven years after she watched her boyfriend-now-husband rape her.
The victim, identified simply as Berniee, went online to express her grievance with her bestfriend after she got engaged and married her abuser over the weekend.
According to her, she was raped by her bestfriend’s boyfriend, Carlos, in the presence of her bestfriend seven years ago and she did nothing to help her, instead proceeded to have sex with him that same night and still continued the relationship.
After they got hitched over the weekend, the aggrieved lady took to her Facebook and Twitter page to call them out with “proof”.
She shared a purported chat she had with Kayla after the incident, and in it, Kayla is seen apologizing for the rape and begged her to become her bestfriend again.
However, Berniee rejected her apology and said she was only apologizing and want to be friends again because she was having issues with Carlos.

Popular Nollywood stars, Nkechi Blessing and Anita Joseph, have tackled self-styled relationship expert, Blessing Okoro, over her involvement in the Bimbo and IVD family saga.
Following Bimbo’s death, Blessing Okoro took to social media to throw her weight behind businessman, IVD, who has been accused by the family of his late wife, Bimbo, of killing her.
In a series of posts, Blessing declared that contrary to the narrative being sold by Bimbo’s family, IVD was the victim of domestic violence in his marriage to Bimbo.
She alleged that Bimbo physically abused her husband several times before her demise and had always threatened to end their lives.
Reacting to Blessing Okoro’s claim, Nkechi Blessing asked the relationship coach what she stood to gain from making such allegations against the late woman.

Chidinma Ojukwu, the prime suspect in the murder of Super TV CEO, Michael Ataga, has denied killing the deceased in a confessional video that was played before a Lagos State High Court sitting at Tafawa Balewa Square on Tuesday, October 18.
In the video that was played before Justice Yetunde Adesanya, Ojukwu backtracked on her previous confession of killing Ataga.
According to her, she didn’t know who killed the deceased as she stepped out on the day of the incident and by the time she got back, she saw Ataga on the floor.
She claimed she quickly left the scene because she was scared. “I don’t know who entered. I just picked my things and left because I was scared,” she said.
This was contrary to her confession at the last proceeding, on October 11, 2022, when the video recording showing Ataga’s lifeless body was first played.
She had said in the video that she killed the deceased on her own.
Her words, “There was nobody that assisted me; I did it alone.”
When a member of the team that interrogated her asked why she said the blood stains on her clothes were her period, she insisted that she didn’t kill Ataga.
“I don’t know who came in after I left the room, when I came back I saw him bleeding, I had to leave because I was scared, I did not kill him, I don’t know who killed him.” She said.
When asked why she ordered for Loud and Rophynol, the defendant responded that it was the deceased that ordered them and that she doesn’t know where he ordered them from.
The defendant was also asked why she took the deceased’s two iPhones and Mac Laptop, and she replied claiming they were her belongings so she picked them and left because she was scared.

In related news, A man was rescued alive three days after floods reportedly carried him away along the East-West Road in Bayelsa state.
The man was discovered alive in the same location, according to community manager Akpos Malafakumo Best, who posted photos of the man on social media.
Akpos said the man was in the water for three days, holding onto a stick for three days and three nights before he was discovered.
The photos Akpos shared showed rescuers evacuating the stranded man to safety with the use of a canoe.
“This young man was swept away by the water current at this very spot East-West Road 3days ago. He had been in the water holding onto a stick for 3 days and night, only to be rescued today alive. Please, don’t travel East-West & Ugheli-Bayelsa roads for now.” Akpo’s wrote on Twitter.

Popular Cameroonian singer, AmbeDiSing has condemned his countrymen for playing more of Nigerian music in their clubs.
Ambe took to his Facebook to say that he observed that a lot Nigerian clubs in the US play 95 per cent of Nigerian music but when he returns to Cameroon, he discovers that his people also play majorly Nigerian music in their clubs.
He questioned this and called on the DJs to play songs by Cameroonian artistes in their clubs, not Nigerian songs.

In other news, a married man made a scene after he caught his wife in a car with a popular Cameroonian singer, Longue Longue.
It was gathered that the wife had left the house a day prior after telling her husband that she was traveling to another town.
The husband, who was left with the kids, went to the market to buy foodstuffs to cook for them when he spotted his wife with the singer, a source claims.
A video from the scene, currently making the rounds online, shows the husband attempting to drag his wife out of the singer’s red car.

A visually impaired Nigerian man, Demola Adeleke has written touching words to his new wife, Temmy.
The lovely couple held their traditional wedding on October 8 and their court wedding a couple of days back, after dating for close to two years.
Demola who is a Mass Communications graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) was 16 when he lost his sight.
Taking to Facebook page on October 16, 2022, the 29-year-old Oyo-born Literature-in-English teacher, revealed that his wife is very courageous as it takes courage to date a blind man.
Contrary to insinuations on social media that his wife married him for money, Demola said he is not rich.

She had posted earlier that Bimbo’s family was after IVd’s property and that Bimbo killed herself because she had always been suicidal. Nkechi Blessing and Anita Joseph commented on her post urging her to stop dragging the dead and put the issue to rest but the relationship expert refused to heed the warning.

A Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) officer has posted a video of a rat high on cannabis.
According to Mr. Femi Babafemi, the rat got into the showroom where cannabis is held at one of the NDLEA Commands.
Babafemi’s video shows that the rat began to be affected by the drug after swallowing some of it. He believes the rat’s actions should serve as a warning to others who use mind-altering substances.

A young man who won 38 million naira from sports betting with an investment of just eight hundred naira has come under fire for his choice to go pray immediately after his win was confirmed.
The young man was seen performing ablution in a video posted online before heading into the mosque to pray. He was escorted by well-wishers singing his praises and congratulating him on his success.

A Nigerian man has dragged his former fiancée to court over her refusal to pay rent for his house which she lived in for years.
A video making rounds online shows the court hearing presided over by Justice Olusola Williams of Judging Matters, with the help of media personality and lawyer, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
Narrating what transpired, the disgruntled man said he and his ex-fiancee decided to move in together in 2019, and the house rent was N300,000 per annum. He said they agreed that he will pay N200,000 while she pays the remaining N100,000.
He said she paid her part in 2019/20 but refused to fulfil her end of the bargain in 2020/21, claiming that she lost her job.
Following his investigation, he discovered that she did not lose her job as claimed, and secretly secured her own apartment.
She then broke off their engagement and said she wanted to move out, but he insisted that she must pay the outstanding payment of N100k.
The young lady, in her defense, said they did not have an agreement and she was only supporting him with the rent payment.
According to her, she decided to break up with him because he started treating her like trash after they started cohabiting, and stopped doing the things that made her fall in love with him at the onset of their relationship.
In his response, the man said they had a verbal agreement, and he did not expressly tell her to live in his house for free. However, the lady maintained that she did not agree to pay rent.
Following the back and forth between the estranged couple, Justice Williams, in her judgement, ordered the lady to pay the N100k because the benefits she enjoyed as his fiancée was annulled after she broke up with him.
A Nigerian lady’s reaction to the news that all seven members of South Korean pop band, BTS, have been enlisted into the country’s military has caused a stir.
The group’s management company, Big Hit Music, had revealed in a Twitter post on Monday, October 17, that the group will perform military service in their native country.
Under South Korean law, able-bodied men, upon reaching age 28, are required to perform military service for at least two years.
While many fans of the K-pop stars were hoping the band members would be exempted due to their contribution to the country’s economy and global prestige, the band announced plans to fulfill their military service on Monday.
The oldest member of the group, Jin, who is 29, will be the first to enlist in the army while other members, RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, will follow suit.
Reacting to the news, a Nigerian lady, who’s an ardent fan of the group, broke down in tears.
The female fan expressed her anguish at the news, stating that she has never attended any of their concerts, visited South Korea, nor has the band ever come to Nigeria.
She said what saddened her the most is that she may have to wait till 2025 or longer before she can ever get a chance to attend their concert or hear any new music from them.
Controversial Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has taken to social media to hail himself as a man after God’s heart.
This comes after he was called out for allegedly snatching his second wife, Judy Austin, from her alleged first husband, Obasi.
Judy’s alleged first husband, Obasi, who resulted to social media to plead with Nigerians to help him get custody of his children with Judy, had claimed that the Nollywood actress had been in a relationship with Yul since 2012, while she was still married to him.
He said that in 2012, he discovered that Judy was having an affair with Yul Edochie, after which he noticed a change in her attitude towards him, forcing him to report her to her kinsmen, who resolved their issue.

Amid this report, Yul, who’s yet to confirm or debunk the claim, shared a photo of himself and dubbed himself a man after God’s heart.

This tag, however, didn’t sit well with the majority of his Instagram followers, who trooped to the comments to lambast him.

Chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has said she is not a public figure that cowers to cyber-bullying.
She stated this after receiving heavy backlash on social media for calling a Twitter user “ode” which means “fool”.
The drama started when Abike Dabiri took to Twitter to respond to the fracas between some Indians and Nigerians at a university in Delhi on Monday.
A Twitter user who was dissatisfied with her response called her a “mumu woman” and an hypocrite supporting the Nigerian government.
“She should go to Indonesia and see how Nigerians are treated. Mumu woman supporting a failed government. She’s equally part of the failure. Eye service!” the troll wrote.
Abike did not take the comment lightly and fired back at the troll.
“Ode! You go to Indonesia, carry drugs, do cultism and come begging to be rescued from death sentence . Thank God for @ndlea_nigeria now saving people like you from death row”, she wrote.
Her response stirred an outrage on Twitter as netizens said it was unbecoming of a political appointee to make such comment on social media.
Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili also cautioned her, saying “Dear Abike @abikedabiri, What is this? . Kai. This is messy. Please clean it up. Quickly. Please”.
However, the former lawmaker did not back down despite the backlash, and said she is not one to take nonsense from people.
“I’m done on this . But out of respect for you , will ask, Clean what up? It’s okay for some untrained, uncouth guy to refer to me as “ mumu”, and I can’t call him “ ode”I’m not a public official that cows to bullying pls,” she responded.
What was supposed to be a day of joy and celebration turned chaotic after a groom discovered on his wedding day that his bride already had four children with another man.
In a now-trending TikTok video, the bride can be seen looking disturbed and crying profusely as she follows her groom, who had stormed out of their wedding venue angrily after the shocking discovery.
Although the social media user who shared the story online omitted the specifics of how the groom learned that his bride was a mother of four, the visibly enraged man was heard telling guests who tried to pacify him, “She didn’t tell me, she already has four kids.”
The panic-stricken bride, not sure what her husband’s final decision would be, was on her knees the entire time, pleading with her husband for forgiveness.
“I’m finished, oh, forgive me,” she said, her voice breaking.

In other news, a Nigerian woman has ended her one-month marriage after she stumbled on videos of her husband sodomising underaged boys.
The marriage of the couple, who are said to have tied the knot in a grand ceremony in September 2022, hit rock bottom barely a month later, after the wife saw multiple disturbing videos of her husband having sex with underaged boys.
A Twitter user who shared the story on the micro-blogging platform said the husband is currently on the run, while the community head has launched a search for him.
A report shared online by Instagram blogger, Cutie Juls, alleges that popular actor, Yul Edochie’s second wife, Judy Austin, was once married with two children.
In the report making rounds on social media, Judy Austin’s alleged first husband, Obasi, claimed Judy got pregnant with their first child at age 19 and moved in with him. They then welcomed their second child in 2009.
Speaking further, Mr Obasi claimed he sponsored Judy’s tertiary education after she said she wanted to further her studies.
In 2012, he discovered that Judy was having an affair with Yul Edochie, after which he noticed a change in her attitude towards him, forcing him to report her to her kinsmen who resolved their issue.
Judy then demanded that they should relocate to Enugu state from Onitsha for reasons best known to her. However, he refused because he had already settled down in Onitsha.
Shortly after, Judy allegedly moved out of their matrimonial home with their two children and left with Yul Edochie.
Fast forward to recent events, after Yul Edochie took Judy as his second wife following the birth of their son, he claimed she cut off communication with him and refused him access to their children.
Mr Obasi has now appealed to Nigerians to help him get his children back.

“Long story short, When Judy was 19 and Mr Obasi was 29, Judy moved in with him cuz she got pregnant. Gave birth to their first child [girl] on 20 April 2007. Had their 2nd child on 18 January 2009. Mr Obasi suggested Judy should learn a trade but Judy said she wanted to go back to school. So Mr Obasi paid for Judy to write JAMB. Judy did not make good grades. Mr Obasi spent 500 to get IMT, Judy stoped, spent another 100k and 300k all Judy did not want. She wanted to go to Uni. Finally, she got into Uni after another bribe. That was when trouble started.
In Uni, Judy who was then married to Mr Obasi met Yul in 2012. They started dating. Her husband reported to family, had meetings but Judy denied. Until one day he caught them. Still forgave cuz they already had 2 children. Then boom Judy told the husband she wants him to rent her a place in Enugu. They were living in Onitsha. The husband said why do you want to move to Enugu when we have have established here? You want to go to school, I have done that. Paying your fees, books even bribe etc. You are now in your 2nd year in Uni, I’m still paying fees. Now you want to me to rent you a place in Enugu, why? Judy said he either rent her a place in Enugu or she will leave him. On 27 Dec 2012 the man asked his wife to follow him to an Xmas event, she refused.
He retuned and discovered his wife, Judy had emptied their home and taken the kids. Got info that Yul brought car, parked close to the house and Judy and the kids drove in the car with Yul while the truck that had their belongings follow. He said he reported the incident to Judy’s parents but the parents sef get their own for body. Judy is a boss. Like a family of children are not told what to do. He said he only thank God for his life. Fast forward, he has been taking care of his children.
But the very day Yul went to pay Judy’s bride price, Judy cut him off from communicating or seeing his children. He said the Friday before Yul paid Judy’s bride on Sunday, elders in Judy’s community called him to a meeting and told him about Yul’s intention since Judy’s family had not returned his bride price then.
So after the elders in Judy’s community called Mr Obasi about Yul’s intention to marry Judy. They asked him that they know Judy is his wife but Yul has come to inform them that he will be coming with his people on Sunday to pay Judy’s bride price so they want to know if he returned Judy’s bride price without the elders knowing. Mr Obasi says he told them about the incident that happened on 27th December 2012 and how Judy and Yul has been together since. He also used the opportunity to officially inform that about the fact that Judy has moved on with Yul since and they even have a child so this call they are calling him is not needed and all he is wants is to have a good relationship with his kids.
Fast forward, Judy’s husband says he has taken issue about having contacts and custody with his children to Onitsha Human rights, ni better results. He has been to Ogidi Welfare still no avail.
Yul has more influence and connection than him. So he wants to plead with Nigerians to help him tell Judy to allow him access to his kids. He is not comfortable with Judy raising these kids alone especially regarding so many things he saw during their marriage and the fact that Judy comfortably moved on with Yul without first divorcing him.”
Hollywood actor, Kaalan Walker was on Monday, October 17, sentenced to 50 years to life in prison for the rape of multiple women.
The 27-year-old rapper was convicted on charges brought by three teenage girls and four women dating back to 2013.
According to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office, Walker had three counts of forcible rape, two counts of statutory rape and two counts of rape by intoxication.
He was also instructed by the Superior Court Judge, Joseph Brandolino, to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. The Superfly actor was first arrested in 2018 on these charges but was released on bail.
It was gathered that he used his Instagram and Twitter account to contact women – including aspiring models – promising them opportunities and connections with people that could help their modelling career.
He would lure the women to his location in the guise of featuring them in a music video, get them alone and then sexually assault them.
Walker’s defense lawyer, Andrew Flier, speaking on the case said,
“The pattern of Mr. Walker is to make false promises and they bought it. … Each one of these women voluntarily made their own decisions. “He didn’t force them. … It’s payback to Mr. Walker and we’re not going to let that happen.”
Walker debuted his acting career in “Kings”, starring Halle Berry and Daniel Craig, before landing a two-episode arc on the drama television series “In Contempt” and a role in the remake of the 1970s thriller SuperFly.
A young lady on Twitter with the handle @koladewilliams has raised an alarm on social media following the rate of domestic abuse her mother has been enduring at the hands of her father.
She narrated how her father who is a pharmacist treats her mother like trash and regularly beats her up at the slightest provocation.
The lady also shared a video of her father beating her mother and it caused an uproar on Twitter.

Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has thrown a subtle jab at internet fraudster, Hushpuppi, who’s awaiting sentencing.
Portable is currently in France and from videos he’s shared on social media so far, one can tell he’s having a great time away from home.
He shared a video of himself in a luxury clothes store in France, where he had gone to get a new set of designer outfits for himself.
In the clip, as he brought out cash from his bag to pay the attendant, the Zazu Zeh, who bragged that he frequents the store, threw shade at Hushpuppi.
Portable declared that he’s bigger than Husppuppi and reiterated that he isn’t into fraud like the embattled socialite who, before his arrest, was using proceeds from fraud to fund his lifestyle.
“I don’t use fraud to buy clothes. Legit money. I fine pass Hushpuppi. Na everyday I dey come Zara. Zara is my own Katangua. You dey wine Jesus”, he explained in Yoruba to the person filming him.

A while ago, Portable reacted after a man claimed he bought a cloth from a roadside stall just days after boasting about spending N50 million on designer clothing.
It would be recalled that the singer made headlines a few days ago after he bragged about owning more designer outfits than embattled Nigerian socialite, Hushpuppi.
Speaking in an interview with Factory 78, ‘Zazu Zeh’ star, Portable, disclosed that he spends as much as 50 million naira on just clothes.
However, to apparently counter Portable’s claim, a social media user claimed the celebrity bought one of his outfits, a brown winter jacket, from a hand-me-down roadside stall.
To support his allegation, the man posted a video of a jacket similar to the one Portable was recently seen wearing during a video shoot, hanging from a rack inside the stall.
Well, Portable has now reacted, stating that he didn’t buy the jacket as it was given to him by a stylist during the video shoot. Watch video here.
