A young Nigerian lady is lucky to be alive after she was allegedly bathed with acid by her best friend over a man.
The victim, who shared a video of her partly burnt face, alleged that her best friend attacked and scalded her face with acid because her boyfriend was asking her out.
According to her, when her mother confronted the jealous friend to find out what substance she drenched her daughter with, she revealed that it was a mixture of bleach, bleaching oil, and petrol.
“My mum went to her place to as what she poured on my face, she said it is hypo, caro white oil with fuel mixed together,” she said.
Sharing the video, she captioned it, “My friend poured me an acid because her boyfriend was toasting me”.

The heartbroken woman could be seen in a video shedding tears while calling out the bestie whom she identified as Mercy.

In the viral video, the man claimed he picked up a commercial sex worker who charged him N40,000 and that he paid her N50,000 out of his benevolence. He added that he was shocked when in the morning after they had finished playing that he couldn’t find his items(red passport, diamond earrings and gold chain). The lady initially denied but after much interrogation, she surrendered his items which she had hidden.

Veteran actress Joke Silva has taken to her social media page to debunk rumors of her Husband, Olu Jacobs.
This is the second time in months she is debunking the false report.

A video of a little boy being interrogated with his hands tied over claims that he’s a wizard in Rumuokoro, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has been shared online.
A Twitter user, @BrotgerTucky, who shared the video of the little boy being interrogated, alleged that the boy “turned from a rat into a human being.”
In the clip, the little boy, who hails from Akwa Ibom state, claims that he is a wizard and has killed three people.
Sharing the video @BrotgerTucky wrote,
“The Boy who turned from Rat to human being in Rumuokoro today confessions”.
Reacting, the spokesperson of the Rivers State Police command, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed that the little boy is now in police custody.

Two widows accused of being witches in Cross River beaten to death
Two widows, identified as Mrs. Martina Osom and Mrs. Rose Akom, have reportedly been beaten to death after they were accused of being witches by the youths of Ebbaken community in Boje, Boki local government area of Cross River State.
The incident reportedly took place in the wee hours of Saturday, August 27, according to Vanguard.
An eyewitness and a son-in-law to one of the victims, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said both women, devoted Catholics, were returning from early morning prayers when the youths accused them of initiating a member of the community into witchcraft.
“They met my mother-in-law within the Church environment. As it was her tradition to weed and clean up the Church vicinity every Saturday immediately after the Morning Mass. The youths accused her of initiating a member of the community into witchcraft and she denied the allegation.
“But they went ahead and beat her severely, ordering her to confess that she is a witch. But her passionate appeal to them that she was innocent fell on deaf ears.” He said.
He added that the other woman, Mrs Rose Akom, was also dragged to join his mother-in-law and inflicted with same torture, ordering her to confess to allegations that she is a witch.
“They were both tied with strong ropes and beaten in the rain all through the day until they died”, he said.
He further added that no arrest had been made and the culprits are walking free in the community.
The state police command is, however, yet to react to this development.

Lady and her father banished from Anambra community for engaging in an incestuous affair that produced two children (video)
A father and his daughter have been reportedly banished from Nnobi town, Anambra State, for engaging in an incestuous affair that produced two children.
In a video currently making the rounds on social media, the elders of the community exiled the family for committing such an abominable act.
The lady, who gave her name as Queen Bassey, alleged that she was deflowered by her father. She claimed her father made her become his wife by placing her on an oath after his wives left him.
When asked if the act was demonic possession and why she consented to the affiar, Queen Bassey said, “I don’t know.”

NURTW leader, Suleman Lawal alias ‘Ariku’ killed in broad daylight as cultists clash in Lagos (video)
The Mile 12 branch chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Suleman Lawal better known as Ariku, has been lynched to death by suspected cult members.
He was murdered after violence broke out on Sunday, August 28, amid the lingering rivalry between cult groups – Aiye and Eiye.
According to a source who pleaded anonymity, Ariku was returning to Mile 12 from his home in Ikorodu area of the state when he was shot and beaten to death by cultists.
“He was from Mile 12. He was born and bred there. He was killed at Owode Elede. He was on a bike when he was killed.
“He had two houses. One in Mile 12 and another one in Ikorodu. He was on a bike coming from Ikorodu to Mile12 when the boys attacked him,” the source said.
A video circulating on social media captures the moment the deceased was being lynched by a mob, said to be cult members.
Police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the incident said;
“The command is aware of the violent clash going on at Owode-Elede area of the state. DPO Owode-Onirin is handling the situation. Reinforcement has been readied. We are monitoring the situation.”

The governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has congratulated eight-year-old badminton star, Adeela Adedeji, after she called him out for ignoring her win at the African Gymnastics Clubs Championships.
The 8-year-old Kwara-born athlete who represented her state at the competition in Pretoria, South Africa, won a silver medal.

She made this assertion during a casual chat with her love interest, Sheggz Olu, and other housemates, Chomzy, Deji and Giddyfia on Monday afternoon, August 29.
During the conversation, Chomzy said she had a dream where she wanted to check Sheggz’s follower count on Instagram because he’s obsessed with the platform.
Weighing into the topic, Bella averred that it’s possible for some of their Instagram accounts to have reached 1 million.
“It’s possible that you are here and already have 1 million followers”, she said.
However, her fellow housemates begged to differ and said it’s not possible for an housemate who’s still in the house to have 1 million followers.
Sheggz however pointed out that BBNaija lockdown housemate, Kiddwaya, had about 1.1 million followers before he was evicted from the show.
All the while, Bella was of the opinion that her colleagues are small-minded people and can’t believe they can get 1 million followers.

Big Brother Naija housemate, Phyna has revealed why she dissuaded her co-star, Beauty, from dating Groovy while she was in the house.
Recall that Beauty and Groovy were an item on the show and shared kisses before she was disqualified during the second week for violating the house rule.
Days after her disqualification, Groovy and Phyna started dating and publicly displayed their love and affection for each other.
Well, during the live eviction show on Sunday night, the show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, put Phyna on the hot seat and asked why she told Beauty that Groovy was not worth it yet she moved to him days after her disqualification.
In response, the Edo-born housemate disclosed that she gave the advice based on what Beauty told her about her relationship with Groovy.
She said she didn’t known Groovy personally at the time, and advised Beauty to let him go because she was always crying over him. According to her, no man is not worth her tears.
Ebuka also asked about her failed romance with her co-star, Eloswag, at the beginning of the show and asked if Groovy was her second choice.
Responding, the 25-year-old housemate said what she had with Eloswag was merely vibes and cruise, and that her relationship with Groovy kicked off on a mutual ground.

Months after online feud, Shatta Wale hails Burna Boy for doing global exploits
Popular Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artist, Shatta Wale, has set his beef with his Nigerian counterpart, Burna Boy, aside to acknowledge his ‘doings’ both home and abroad.
Recall that the two musicians had a full-blown feud on social media in December 2021, with both singers downplaying the other’s achievements and accusing each other of unprintable crimes.
The fight went on for days and Burna Boy challenged Shatta Wale to a one-on-one boxing match which never took place.
Shatta Wale has now put his pride aside to praise the Grammy award winner for making waves in the global scene. This comes on the heels of the self-acclaimed African Giant’s concert in different continents of the world.
Taking to his Snapchat, Shatta Wale stated that though he is not on talking terms with Burna Boy, he’s very happy to see him succeed and make global impact musically.

Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Charles Chukwu, popularly known as Crayon, has revealed that he wrote the Joint Admission and Matriculation (JAMB) exam five times.
The Mavin star, in a recent interview on Channels Television’s Rubbin’ Minds, said he struggled with gaining admission into a tertiary institution before he was fortunate enough to land a spot in the music industry.
According to the 21-year-old singer, he sat for JAMB five times – failed on his first two attempts and passed the following three attempts however he still failed to secure admission into any institution.
Speaking in the interview, the ‘Ijo’ crooner said,
“It has been amazing and beautiful to see because I have been working over the years and now, I am now finally getting the recognition that I deserve.
“So, it (recognition) is beautiful to see – among my fans, team, and everybody that knows me personally.
“I started making music like 2016 officially. I wasn’t in school then but trying to get into the university. I wrote JAMB five times.
“For the first two times, I failed; the rest three times, I passed. I kept going to the school to lay complaints and ask: ‘What’s up?’ It (gaining admission) wasn’t just happening for me,” he noted during the show. “I feel like it was God’s way of redirecting me.”

Big Brother Naija level-up housemate, Sheggz, has complained to his lover, Bella, about their relationship being one-sided and she not reciprocating his love.
A visibly enraged Sheggz complained about Bella’s attitude during a conversation after the live eviction show on Sunday night, August 28.
He recounted how he had pleaded with Bella earlier because he wasn’t feeling too good, but she refused, insisting that she had to go monitor the food sharing so she wouldn’t miss out.
He accused her of not being emotionally intelligent, only caring about herself and never making sacrifices in the relationship.
“I still have emotions and I still have feelings…You don’t do shit for me, you don’t hold me down. You’re not there for me when I need you, but I’m there for you all the time, I hold you down all the time. I don’t talk too much.. Our relationship feels like its Bella’s relationship, it doesn’t feel like its Bella and Sheggz relationship. A Nigerian businesswoman, identified simply as Adeola, has taken to Twitter to berate her boyfriend over his ‘poor’ cooking skills.
The young lady said her boyfriend told her he wants to prepare a sumptuous meal for her so she sat back and relaxed, while snacking on ice cream and cheese balls.
When he finished cooking and served the meal, Adeola said she was utterly disappointed in him for breaking the spaghetti into small pieces.

Controversial media personality, Daddy Freeze has tackled popular clergyman, Mike Bamiloye, over his savage response to a Facebook user who inquired about heaven.
The drama evangelist had taken to his Facebook page to share an unconfirmed report about the kingdom of heaven.
He wrote, “The most common words in heaven are: HALLELUYAH! and AMEN!”
An inquisitive Facebook user then asked to know if heaven truly exists and where it’s located.
“Where is Heaven?? Has anyone been there”, he wrote.
In response, the 62-year-old actor threw a jab at the Facebook user, saying that his post is only directed at Christians going to heaven.

The clergyman’s response didn’t sit well with Daddy Freeze and he chided him for being unruly towards the curious Facebook user.
He stated that he should have responded with kindness and buttress his claim with scriptural backing instead of being savage.
He further added that the Facebook user has a higher chance of making heaven than the drama minister.

Although Rev 19:4 does say the 24 elders and the creatures all shouted Amen, Hallelujah, It however does not categorically state that those are the most common word in heaven. So it’s either you have been to heaven (like the guy asked) or have a scriptural backing to prove your proposition; savage does not cut it doctrinally. 🙄

Nigerian soldier reunites with his mother after one year on frontline (video)
A viral video has captured the emotional moment a Nigerian soldier reunited with his mother after one year on the frontline.
In the clip, the soldier, who had been away for one year fighting insurgents, marched towards his mother upon their reunion, saluted her, and then gave her a heartfelt embrace.
The mother was beaming from ear to ear, clearly overjoyed to see her son.
The soldier shared the video on social media with the caption, “Seeing my mum again after 1 year on the frontline.”

In other news, a female corps member, Esther Chidimma Oyekwe, has celebrated her older brother who dropped out of school for his siblings.
According to Esther, her brother dropped out of school to become a trader so that he could raise funds to send his siblings to school.
In appreciation the young lady who is now a graduate and serving her fatherland visited her brother in the market wearing her NYSC uniform.
She marched towards him, saluted him and afterwards hugged him tightly while praising him for his sacrifice of love.
Sharing the video which captured the emotional moment, Esther wrote,
