Popular business mogul, Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu better known as Cubana Chief Priest, has bragged about being too expensive for Nollywood movie producers as he features in his first Nollywood movie.

The celebrity barman and nightlife king, who runs a chain of nightclubs, took to his Instagram page to share the trailer of his debut movie and hailed himself for being an amazing actor.

He stated that he is undoubtedly a good actor but sadly, no producer in the Nigerian movie industry can afford his fee for a feature.

Sharing the video, Chief Priest wrote,

A while ago, Chief Priest was forced to end his vacation in the UK because of the high naira to pounds exchange rate.
Taking to his Instastory to complain bitterly as pounds hits #830 in the black market, Cubana Chief Priest said he was coming back to where “things are easy”.

The celebrity barman had travelled to the UK with his wife, Angel, on Tuesday, August 16, and went shopping with her at different designer stores.

He shared a video of his wife trying on a sneakers and wrote, “She don start. If the world is for sale, I go buy am for you”.

The couple then spent the night at a luxury hotel in London which Cubana said was very expensive.

He said he didn’t let his wife sleep all night because he couldn’t sleep while thinking about the amount he spent on the room for one night.

“Exchange rate na die, I no gree @deangels sleep this night. We go do night vigil. If you convert this suite money to naira, sleep no fit catch you. Naija is gone,” he wrote.

In a follow-up post, the business mogul disclosed that he was returning back to Nigeria because the exchange rate is not favorable.

“This pounds rate no be here. We don jakpa to where e go dey easy”, he wrote.

Man arrested for impregnating his 14-year-old daughter and inviting five other men to sleep with her in Ogun

The Ogun state police command has arrested a 49-year-old man, Amoda Bola, for allegedly impregnating his 14-year-old daughter and forcing her into prostitution.

The suspect, a resident of Idi Oro street, Ode Remo, was arrested on August 17 following a complaint received from the victim. The teenager had reported at Ode Remo divisional headquarters that her father, with whom she has been living with for some years now, has been having carnal knowledge of her.

She stated further that her father has also been inviting men to the house to sleep with her, after which the men will pay him money.

Following the complaint, the suspect, Amoda Bola, was arrested at his residence.

On interrogation, the suspect, who first denied the allegations, later confessed when the victim confronted him. His confession led to the arrest of five others who had slept with the victim at different times on the invitation of the father.

The other suspects are: Ahmed Ogunkoya, 30yrs, Muyiwa Adeoye, 48yrs, David Sunday Solaja, 69yrs, Emmanuel Olusanya, 50yrs, and Joshua Olaniran, 50yrs.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said all the suspects have confessed to having carnal knowledge of the 14-year-old girl and have paid money to the father.

Oyeyemi said the victim, whose mother had separated from the father years back, said she was practically turned into a prostitute by her father.

“She has been taken to state hospital Isara Remo where it was confirmed that she is pregnant. The victim has insisted that it was her father who is responsible for the pregnancy been the only person who slept with her within the period she got pregnant.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to anti humans trafficking and child labour unit of the state Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation and possible prosecution.” Oyeymi said

Nigerian IG comedienne, Nons Miraj in a recent video shared on social media, advised Nigerians to waive the idea of moving to London, United Kingdom, because of the country’s basic living costs.

Sharing her experience when she boarded a ride in London, Nons revealed she was charged over a hundred pound for an 80-mile trip.

According to her, she pays less for such rides like that in Nigeria. Miraj went on to add that she always complains that the fare is too much in Lagos despite the meagre amount she pays.

Nollywood actress, Helen Paul cautioned her colleague Yomi Fabiyi after the actor shared a video of his child’s mother at a vulnerable stage just to prove a point following a dramatic social media fight they had recently.

Oba Oloyede Adeyeoba Akinghare ll, the Arujale Ojima of Okeluse, in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State has avowed that he will marry more than one wife as tradition demands.

The 19-year-old monarch who recently graduated from secondary school, disclosed this in an interview with Sunday Vanguard.

He is quoted as saying,

“Yes it is compulsory I will marry more than one wife. In our tradition here, it is compulsory for a king to have more than one wife because the first wife, if she has a male child, the male child will become the next king and the second wife’s first male child will become what we call Eleki and, if the first wife does not have a male child and the second wife has, it is the first male child of the second wife that will become the next king. The Eleki is the second in command to the king; if the king is not around, the Eleki will be in charge.” he said.

Akinghare, who is the youngest ruling Yoruba monarch in Nigeria, also shared that he has female friends but he is too shy to talk to girls.

In a sad turn out of events, married Big Brother housemate, Kess has been announced as the latest housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother Naija house.

Kess was among six other housemates who were up for eviction at the start of the week and sadly, his time in the Big Brother house has come to an end following his eviction.

When Ebuka asked how he feels about his eviction, he said he felt disappointed as he felt he could have stayed back longer in the house.

The family asked for support and prayers as he continues his quest in the Big Brother house.

“The past weeks have been most trying for the family of Adjepkovu. We are saddened by the loss of Kess’s son through a miscarriage but we are comforted by the well wishes and kind thoughts of friends around. Special regards to the wife for being strong and courageous through the whole experience.

A man has been hospitalized after he accidentally cut off his own testicles while sleeping.

47-year-old Ghanian Farmer, Kofi Atta, dozed off in an armchair and said he managed to pick up a knife while sleeping and he had a dream about cutting meat.

In his sleep, he said he mistakenly cut his testicle.

Still in a dream-like state, the farmer from Assin Akomfede called for two neighbours who rushed to his house and found him alone, covered in blood.

“I was sitting in my chair when I dozed off. In my sleep, I dreamt that I was cutting some meat in front of me.

“I don’t remember how I picked up the knife, even I am confused.”

Popular philanthropist and ‘Chess in Slum’ convener, Tunde Onakoya, has shared the transformation of a young fish hawker he rescued from a slum in Ikorodu, Lagos state, and enrolled in school.

Taking to Twitter, Tunde narrated how he met the young girl having fish on the streets two years ago and decided to give her a chance at a better life.

He said he adopted her as his child, put her through three months therapy because she had been sexually abused by a 40-year-old man, and enrolled her in a school.

Tunde shared pictures of the young girl whom he identified as Odunayo and wrote,

“Today makes it exactly two years since I met Odunayo hawking fish on the streets of majidun Ikorodu with her little brother.

A lot has happened since then, but two weeks ago, she completed her first year of school and passed her examinations😊

This was the first time Shedrach brought both of them to my house😊.
God bless you Shedrach, a lot of this would have been impossible without your kind efforts.

I remember how I would always go to their house for the first few weeks to teach them chess and basic literacy. She had been a victim of sexual abuse from a 40year old pedophile in that community.

It was on this day I swore to be a part of lives and keep them safe forever.

Odunayo had been through such a turbulent childhood that we had to put her through 3 months of therapy and counseling before she could trust/talk to anyone again.

Odunayo and her brother lived with me for the first one year since I adopted both of them, but after sometime I realized she needed motherly care that I couldn’t give. My Mum took on that responsibility and she has lived with my parents in Ibadan ever since then.

Back in January, she was involved in a terrible Car accident on her way back from school and was in ICU for weeks.

This moment broke me and my parents.

It was a scary time for all of us,as an act of kindness could have easily become a dark story of regret if she had lost her life”

A touching farewell moment between a Nigerian lady and her partner, who was departing for another country, is captured in a viral video.

In the trending clip, the young lady tries hard to fight back her tears as her man leaves for Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

They had a very emotional farewell as she accompanied him to the airport to catch his flight.

She gave him a very tight hug, as if to last them until they saw each other again.

The young man consoled his crying girlfriend while assuring her that they would meet up again because he planned to return soon.

“I will be back soon, baby,” he told her.

In other news, a UK-based Nigerian lady has shared a video which captures the heartwarming moment she reunited with her boyfriend after one year apart.

The lady revealed she went to the United Kingdom for her Masters program one year ago, right after he proposed to her, and they haven’t seen each other since.

According to her, after she told her man that she doesn’t want to return to Nigeria, he decided to relocate to the United Kingdom to be with her.

Terrorists who attacked an AK-9 Abuja-Kaduna train passengers on March 28 have released four more hostages in their custody.

The released hostages include Mohammed Sani Abdulmaji (M.S. Ustaz), an 85-year-old woman, Hajiya Halimatu Atta, and her 53-year-old daughter, Adama Aliyu.

Tukur Mamu, Publisher of the Kaduna-based Desert Herald and Media Consultant to controversial Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, who withdrew as one of the negotiators, confirmed the release of the four hostages to newsmen in Kaduna.

“I can confirm that earlier on Friday, four additional victims of the train attack were released by their abductors. The four released victims just left my office.

“They said they came collectively to thank me for the past efforts I made to mediate on their behalf and for convincing their abductors to drop the threats of executing them and to plead for all stakeholders especially the federal government to intensify efforts as the condition of the remaining 23 victims they left at the forest is pathetic.

“Amongst those that were released on Friday includes the oldest victim, a grandmother, Mama Halimatu Atta. She is 90 years old. Also released is her daughter, a 53-year-old married woman, Adama Atta Aliyu, (the woman that was bravely shown in the last video protesting and challenging her captors and lamenting failure to secure their release). The victim that first suggested my name to the abductors, as one of those to be contacted to mediate between them and the federal government, Mohammed Sani Abdulmaji (M.S Ustaz) and a Sokoto indigene, Alhaji Modin Modi Bodinga were also released on Friday”. He said.

A businessman, Aita Joel, has undergone a vasectomy after five kids.

Vasectomy is an elective surgical procedure for male sterilisation or permanent contraception. During the procedure, the tubes that carry a man’s sperm are cut or sealed to permanently prevent pregnancy. Wikipedia

The father of five who took to Twitter to document the procedure said he chose to have a vasectomy so that he could stop having more kids and focus on caring for the ones he already has.

“After birth of kid 5, I decided to end the journey and concentrate on giving them quality life. At times the man has to take responsibility of the birth control and besides a good quality life for the children can only be given to a number you can manage. It’s simple.

If you want real good education for your children, you have to pay a very good school. Definitely when a primary school charges you over 20m per term per kid. Then you need to have a number you can manage. In my case I can manage 5. Someone else can manage ten. Another less.” He tweeted.

Veteran Nigerian singer, Ikechukwu Onunaku has taken a trip down memory lane as he shares old tweets Wizkid posted about him in 2010.

Ikechukwu, who made waves in the music industry years ago and released several hit songs, took to his Instagram page to share screenshots of his exchange with Wizkid 12 years ago.

Wizkid, a multi-award winning singer who is still a force in the industry, had subtly hinted at wanting to be featured on Ikechukwu’s song.

“I wonder what an Ikechukwu feat Wizkid song will sound like… hmmmm.. lol.. wadddup boss? Chilling lil pimpin Wuddddupp”, he wrote.

In another tweet, Wizkid said he has been listening to Ikechukwu’s album and it has been on repeat.

“Am good o.. jst der on dat hustle tip boss!!.. BTW my copy of ur promo CD don skip tire o.. hehe” he wrote.

Reminiscing on the old days, Ikechukwu, who didn’t end up collaborating with Wizkid on any music project, seemingly expressed regret at his inaction at the time.

During a conversation with her colleagues, Sheggz, Chichi and Chomzy on Friday night, Bella shared her thoughts on Hermes and why she believes he may not go far on the show.

According to her, Hermes who won the Head of House game in their second week on the show is overconfident and thinks he has a strong fanbase outside the house.

She noted that it’s high time Hermes brought down his confidence as smartness or winning tasks doesn’t determine he would win the show.

“Hermes is winning in the house and he thinks he has won in the outside world. He better bring his confidence down a little bit. If he wants to go to Level 2, let him go”, she said in part.

Bella’s remark sparked reactions from internet users, many of whom accused her of underestimating Hermes.

Nigerian man gets into trouble in Australia for dumping a white woman he slept with after promising to date her

A Nigerian man has landed into serious trouble in Australia for dumping a white woman he had sex with after promising to date her.

An Australian-based Nigerian lecturer, Daniel Chukwuemeka, took to Facebook to narrate the predicament of the man.

According to Daniel, after the man dumped the white woman, she reported him to the police and accused him of breach of partnership agreement.

The police have now threatened to charge him to court unless he brings at least two residents to vouch for his good will.

He promised to date an oyibo lady whereas the only thing he wanted was knacks. So, after a few days of talking and meeting, brother knacked twice (only) within a day and decided to clean mouth.

But the lady reported him to the police and accused him of breach of partnership agreement.

Police don invite brother to tell his own side of the story and brother cannot say much because the evidence is there in the chats between him and the lady.

Brother now began to look for fellow Nigerians to put in some good word for him because the police say he should get at least two residents to vouch for his goodwill.

Failure to do so, the case will be taken to court.

No fellow Nigerian wants to go to the police and vouch for brother because no one wants a dent on their hustle for Australian permanent residency and subsequent citizenship.

Nigerian police would have probably laughed at the lady’s case, especially since they are not married. Brother forgot he is not in Nigeria. He was probably thinking with his D.

He forgot he lives in a country where marriage is not a big deal, where two people living together over a certain period of time and sharing bills would even be recognised by the state as (de facto) partners without them needing to be legally married.”
