Nollywood actress, Sonia Ogiri has opined that popular singer, Davido, and his estranged fiancée, Chioma a.k.a Chef Chi, would have gotten married if she didn’t get pregnant for him.

It would be recalled that in September 2019, Davido proposed to Chioma during a dinner date in a restaurant in London.

He also publicly showered her with gifts, love and attention, and many Nigerians thought the singer would finally settle down with her.

Sadly, they never got married for reasons best known to them but maintained a cordial relationship because of their son, Ifeanyi.

Just recently, it was confirmed that Davido, who already has three babymamas, has a fourth child with a UK-based makeup artist, Larissa London.

Reacting to this, Sonia took to her Instastory to share her thoughts on the new development, stating that Davido would have gone ahead to marry Chioma if she didn’t get pregnant.

She wrote,

“Who else is thinking what I’m thinking? After seeing Davido’ 4th child, is high time we pray for his marriage. My love for him is incomparable to another hence I tag him my best artist in the world.

Police arrest lesbian who allegedly stabbed her partner’s husband to death in Anambra

The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a woman who allegedly stabbed her lesbian partner’s husband to death in Onitsha, Anambra State.

The deceased, identified as Ikechukwu Onuma, who was a staff member of the College of Health, Onitsha, is said to have walked in on his wife making out with her female lover in their residence along Ogboli road, Onitsha, on Tuesday, August 9.

Onuma reportedly came home unannounced on Tuesday night to find his wife in bed with another woman. Unknown to him, his wife, Nkemdilim, whom he has married since 2019, is a lesbian and had been keeping a female sex partner.

The suspect is said to have quickly attacked the man with a kitchen knife, stabbing him to death in a bid to silence him.

Confirming the incident to reporters, the spokesperson of the Anambra state Police command, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, revealed that the suspect has been arrested.

“We have a suspect in custody and the Commissioner of Police, CP Echeng Echeng, has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the State CID for proper investigation. Preliminary information shows that the suspect stabbed the victim in the chest. He was rushed to the hospital before he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.” He said.

Precious, the estranged wife of former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode, is celebrating what she calls her “scarniversary”.

According to the mother-of-four, the anniversary is to celebrate the scars that made her evolve.

Sharing photos of herself in a beautifully decorated room, Precious wrote,

This comes after Precious reunited with her children after a two-year separation.

The former beauty queen, whose 6-year marriage to the politician hit the rock in 2020, claimed FFK denied her access to see her children ever since. She has taken to social media several times, most of the time in tears, to beg to see her children.

Since their marriage ended in 2020, Fani Kayode and Precious Chikwendu have been locked in a legal battle over custody of their four children.

However, in a recent development, it appears the pair have settled their differences regarding co-parenting.

Man allegedly stabbed to death by his wife’s lesbian lover in Anambra

A Nigerian man identified as Ikechukwu Onuma, popularly known as Ayaaya, has been allegedly stabbed to death by his wife’s lesbian lover in Onitsha, Anambra State.

It was gathered that Ikechukwu was attacked by his wife’s female lover after he walked in on them making out in his house on Monday, July 8.

Details of the incident are still sketchy. However, viral reports claimed that Ikechukwu arrived home unexpectedly and saw his wife having sex with her lesbian girlfriend. In the midst of the altercation, the suspect fatally stabbed him.

The deceased’s relatives and friends have turned to social media to lament his untimely passing and demand that justice be served.

Sharing a photo of the deceased’s wife, Nkemdili, and her alleged lover, one TR Hon. Charles Anwah wrote, “She must pay for it.”

A friend of the deceased, Ifeoma Maria Ikpeazu Ekwuno wrote,

Alleged Rape: Friends celebrate as court grants actor Moses Armstrong bail

Embattled Nollywood actor, Moses Armstrong, has been granted bail by a High Court sitting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Moses, who was arrested on June 16 for allegedly raping a teenage girl, was granted bail on Wednesday, August 10.

Recall that the Akwa Ibom State Police Command arrested popular the actor for allegedly raping the minor, said to be a 16-year-old girl.

The national president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, had confirmed Armstrong’s arrest when he described the case as “a very serious one”.

In a chat with Qed.ng, he said the case is being handled by the First Lady of the state, Martha Udom Emmanuel, through her Family Empowerment and Youth Re-Orientation Path Initiative.

Some of his friends and colleagues were in court to celebrate with him.

Family announces burial arrangements for late actress, Ada Ameh

The family of late Nollywood star, Ada Ameh, has released her funeral arrangements.

Ada Ameh passed away on Sunday, July 17, in Warri, Delta state.

According to the obituary released, the burial activities will begin with a novelty match and a candlelight service on August 19 in Lagos, where the actress lived most of her life.

On Thursday, August 25, there will be a candlelight service at Saint Mary’s Primary School, Ogobia, in Benue State. The funeral service and interment will follow at her father’s compound in the Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.

In other news, Nollywood actress, Etinosa Idemudia has revealed why she called out her colleague, Real Warri Pikin, and others over their clout-chasing condolence visit to the family of late actress, Ada Ameh.

The Tanzania-based show promoter for Kizz Daniel’s concert has admitted to lying about the singer refusing to perform because he didn’t have his gold chain.

Steven Uwa who sat for an interview with Daddy Freeze with Kizz Daniel’s brother, Tolu, revealed how pressing technical issues was what stopped the Nigerian singer from performing.

When asked by the media personality why he claimed Kizz Daniel insisted that he won’t perform because he didn’t have his gold chain, he said “emotions were high that night”.

When Kizz Daniel’s brother shared that he was not paid in full, Steven said that the $60,000 he said earlier was paid, was not paid to Kizz Daniel directly but to an agency managed by music executive, Paul Okoye.

Steven then admitted that the singer tried to salvage the situation and also meet with fans to apologize and postpone the show after arriving for the event 1 hour to his performance, following an 8-hour flight delay in Kenya. According to him, the show promoters told him there’s no need for that as they will take care of it, but never did.

Tolu who revealed that the contract for the show allowed for it to be postponed, also added that Kizz Daniel also offered to pay for a hall and for other things to ensure that the show was successful if postponed, which the show promoters agreed to but reneged after things took a negative turn.

He also stated that the singer was not arrested but taken in for questioning to know what really happened.

Steven admitted that all these happened, but said they were only trying not to have issues with authorities because they are new in business in the country and also didn’t know how to tell the concert-goers that it has been postponed.

A 25-year-old OnlyFans and Instagram model, Courtney Clenney is facing a murder charge in the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend at their Miami high-rise back in April.

Clenney who got apprehended in Hawaii on Wednesday August 10, is currently awaiting extradition to Florida, where she’ll face a second-degree murder charge for allegedly killing 27-year-old Christian Obumseli in April.

The model who has 2 million followers on Instagram, allegedly stabbed Obumseil in the chest on April 3 following a fight at their luxury apartment building in Miami’s ritzy Edgewater neighborhood.

A video obtained by TMZ at the time showed a woman covered in blood and surrounded by police officers in the building.

It was also gathered that the model had been at a rehab facility in Hawaii for substance abuse and post traumatic disorder when she was picked up by police, her attorney said.

Her defense attorney, Frank Prieto told Miami Herald;

“I’m completely shocked, especially since we were cooperating with the investigation and offered to voluntarily surrender her if she were charged.

“We look forward to clearing her name in court.”

Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle and Miami Police Chief Manuel Morales are expected to announce the charges at a news conference Thursday afternoon, August 11.

Friends said Obumseli and Clenney had moved into a unit in the luxury building after moving to South Florida from Texas in the past couple years.

In a statement shortly after Obumseli’s killing, Prieto said the two had a “tumultuous relationship” and that Clenney was a “victim of physical, emotional, and mental abuse at the hands of Obumseli.”

The attorney claimed that Clenney acted in self-defense when Obumseil attacked her after stalking her for several weeks. According to him, the Instagram star was forced to stab Obumseli after he grabbed her by the throat.

According to the Herald, the pair had been living together for a few months at the apartment building, where staff noted multiple domestic incidents and even tried to evict them.

Lawyer Larry Handfield, who represents Obumseli’s family, pushed police to reopen the investigation. He said that cops visited the couple on at least four occasions for domestic calls and noted Obumseli was never taken into custody or charged.

Handfield also emphasized that Clenney wasn’t taken into custody despite allegedly having an open warrant for a 2015 public intoxication case from California. Clenney also was reportedly due in a Texas court on a 2020 DUI charge at the time of the killing.

The model claimed to be suicidal after the killing of Obumseli and spent time in a mental institution, officials said.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said some people mocked him when he lost his son, Dare, in 2021.

He made this disclosure during the ongoing 70th Annual Convention of the church while preaching a sermon titled ‘Born Free’ on Tuesday, August 9.

The 80-year-old clergyman said losing his 42-year-old son was the darkest period of his life yet some people still made a mockery of him.

He said,

“Some of you have heard this before: when I was in the saddest period of my life, with so many questions and I know that even in my deep sorrow some people were still laughing at me, I got a text from one of my daughters.

“All she said was: ‘Daddy, let God carry you’. And that put an end to any problem; it ended my sorrows. It renewed my faith.”

Pastor Adeboye’s third child, Dare Adeboye, passed away on May 4, 2021, in Akwa Ibom State where he was based with his family.

He was married to his beautiful wife, Temiloluwa, and had three lovely daughters.

A young man suspected to be a vandal has been electrocuted in the Osiri area of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.

It was gathered that the suspect met his end on Tuesday night, August 9, while trying to steal from a transformer in the area.

The victim was reportedly stealing from the transformer when power was suddenly restored and he was trapped.

A source, who pleaded anonymity, said residents woke on Wednesday morning to see the dead body of the victim lying in the gutter.

“We woke up today to see the dead body of a young man on the transformer around Osiri road transformer. He has succeeded in cutting two out of the cables but unexpected met his untimely death when light suddenly came to the area.” The source said.

In other news, men of the Adamawa State Police Command have arrested a 58-year-old housewife, Hajaratu Sini, for allegedly beating her husband’s mistress to death.

It was gathered that Hajaratu, who hails from Wumbirmi Tilli, in Michika Local Government Area of the state, attacked the deceased with a stick after she caught her in bed with her husband of over 40 years.

The deceased, a widow, and Hajaratu’s husband have been having an illicit relationship, however, on Sunday, July 31, Hajaratu caught them in a compromising position at about 9p.m. when she stormed the widow’s house.

The cheating husband reportedly took to his heels on sighting his wife. She was said to have ran after him and in the heat of the moment, and in the heat of the rage, Hajaratu hit the deceased on her head leading to her death.

The mother of two was among the 38 suspects paraded at the police command in Yola, on Tuesday, August 9.

Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Charles Chibueze Chukwu, better known as Crayon, has revealed that he has not gone to visit his parents since 2017.

Crayon, who got signed to Mavin Record in 2019, took to Twitter to make this disclosure on Tuesday, August 9.

He said he left his parent’s house to chase his musical career five years ago and has not returned since then, even though their home is barely two hours away from his current location.

According to the 22-year-old ‘Ijo’ crooner, this is one of the sacrifices he has to make for his career.

He tweeted,

“Left my parents house back in 2017 since then I haven’t gone back! It’s not something I’m proud of especially because, it’s just an hour 30mins drive to my parents house! But as a dream chaser wey I be I gat make sacrifices! It’s not easy on me though I miss em so much !😭❤️

The couple had their court wedding at a Lagos registry a few days ago and their church wedding is scheduled to take place in a few days.

A Nigerian mother has reacted to a viral tweet that says a career woman can’t make a good wife and mother.

One @Galadima_Samaru from the Northern part of Nigeria, had taken to Twitter to make this statement, while asserting that it’s not possible for a career woman to keep a home.

He wrote in part,

“There’s just no way a career orientated woman would be a good wife and a mother. It’s not possible.
So many homes have been broken because women due to western advanced individualist notions believe they have a right to have a career & the same time manage a home and be a mother.

Nothing could be further from the truth.
Take a cursory look at western nations today, it’s a broken wreckage all because women have abandoned their natural responsibility to chase after worldly glory.”

Reacting, a Nigerian mom, who is also from the North, told men with the same mindset to stay away from her two daughters.

According to her, she is a former banker who now owns a school, and she wants one of her daughters to be a doctor while the second one, a lawyer, and she doesn’t want men with such a mentality around them.

A self-styled clergyman, identified as Pastor Igomowe, has told Christians to increase the offering they give in church in light of the ongoing global inflation.

The man, speaking in a video shared online, said the price of almost everything, including food and house rent, has increased sporadically in recent times yet some Christians are still giving the same offering in church.

Lamenting over how the situation is affecting pastors who are dependent on the offerings, tithes and freewill offering they receive from their congregants, Pastor Igomowe told Christians to increase their offerings.

The man of God also pointed out that his neck are sunken because he’s not receiving enough money from his church members.

However, moments later, they spotted her on a commercial motorcycle, popularly known as Okada, and decided to make fun of her.

In related news, a husband who strangled his wife in Suleja, Niger state, has died from complications after he consumed a poisonous substance.

Mr Adeniyi Jose, from Akure, Ondo State is reported to have strangled his wife-of-eight years, Chidinma Gloria Ibeh, from Imo state, with a rope and also suffocated her with a pillow.

He afterwards consumed a poisonous substance said to be sniper. He was then rushed to Suleja General Hospital.

An insider who spoke with LIB gave an update that the man is now dead.

US-based Nigerian businessman, Francis Van-Lare, has dished out a piece of advise to people planning to start off a new relationship.

Francis, who has been married and divorced five times, gave this advice in response to a question posed by American TV personality, Steve Harvey, on Facebook.

Harvey has gone online to solicit for ingenious advice from netizens for people who are about to start dating a new partner.

“What advice would you give to a person who is about to get into a new relationship?” he asked.

In response, Francis took to the comment section to advise such persons to sleep with each other before making a serious commitment so they would know if what they feel for each other is true love or lust.

“Go straight to the bedroom and have sex first. After the sex you both can determine if it’s going to be love or your lust has been satisfied.” Francis replied.

According to him, his advice is the best one that can be given to intending couples.
