The billionaire wife, who welcomed her second child with her husband, Ned Nwoko in June, took to her Instagram page on Wednesday afternoon, August 10, to share moments from the naming ceremony and unveiled her son’s name as Prince Khalifa Chimka Nwaorah Ned Nwoko.
The event was attended by close friends and family members.
Sharing the video with her over 12 million Instagram followers, Regina wrote,

She popped the question beside the lovely black SUV which was decorated with balloons, indicating that it was a gift.

A Nigerian lady has shared how she was broke-shamed by a group of guys in a Benz for boarding an Okada (commercial motorcycle) after refusing to give them her number.
The young men had earlier asked the lady for her phone number at a joint where they had first met, but she refused them and left the location.
However, moments later, they spotted her on a commercial motorcycle, popularly known as Okada, and decided to make fun of her.
The boys were heard shouting “how e be now, see who dey form,” repeatedly as they followed her okada in the video she posted online.
She claimed the boy made a video of her on the Okada and shared it on their Instagram pages.

The daring lady recorded herself pretending to be on a call with her mother-in-law as she saw her husband approach their car and when he entered, she started making the pretentious conversation heated.
Seeing that she kept addressing the person at the receiving end of the call with “Ma”, her husband asked who it was she was talking to and later realized it was his mother, given how the conversation was going.

Filmmaker, Otu Njama dies hours after mourning his colleague Biyi Bandele
Nollywood has been thrown into mourning yet again as filmmaker, Otu Njama, has passed away in the late hours of Tuesday, August 9.
Otu, who was in his thirties, was found dead in his house located in First Unity estate in Badore, Ajah area of Lagos state, around 9pm.
He reportedly went to the hospital for medical checkup and was told that his blood pressure was high – about 200 – and was advised to rest but he couldn’t because he had a show on Thursday, August 11.
He was said to have visited a bar he owns in the area. After seeing his employees and having dinner, he went home and said no one should disturb him.
Sadly, his lifeless body was found in his apartment hours later.
His sister, Judith, who confirmed the sad incident, said a drug for blood pressure was found in his apartment but she was not aware of his health issues.
Otu’s death comes barely 24 hours after he joined his colleagues in the Nollywood industry to mourn their colleague, popular movie director, Biyi Bandele, on social media.
Bandele died in Lagos on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at the age of 54, the family said in a statement on Tuesday morning, August 9.
The news of Bandele’s death also confirmed by his colleagues, who expressed shock and sorrow as they put up his picture to mourn him.

Following Beauty Tukura’s disqualification from the reality show on Sunday, a purported old tweet by the disqualified housemate mocking BBNaija season 5 star, Erica, when she suffered the same fate, made the rounds online.
Recall that lockdown housemate, Erica, was disqualified from the show for flouting multiple house rules. In the same vein, Beauty, who received her first strike on her first week in the house, was disqualified after receiving two more strikes following an altercation with fellow housemate, Groovy.

Disqualified Big Brother Naija season 7 housemate, Beauty Tukura, has said she would have been more attracted to Hermes than Groovy if they were in the same house.
It is common knowledge that this year’s show is distinct from previous years’ as the house is divided into two namely “Level one house “and “Level two house”.
Beauty and her love interest, Groovy, were in the level two house which made it easier for them to build a close bond and become a couple in quite a short time. Hermes, on the other hand, is in the level one house.
The 43rd Miss Queen, who was disqualified on Sunday for fighting with Groovy because he danced with another lady during the Saturday night party, has now said she would have preferred Hermes to Groovy.
She made this revelation during her post-disqualification interview with Victoria Eze, popularly known as Miz Vick on the Unlocked show.
“If Hermes was in my house, I probably would have been more attracted to him than Groovy. And that is what’s so crazy,” she said.
In the interview, Beauty, a 24-year-old beauty queen, also maintained her stance that Groovy should not have danced with Chomzy at the party.

Man shares impressive WAEC result of orphan whose education he promised to sponsor
An orphaned Nigerian boy has been celebrated on social media for his impressive result in the 2022 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
A Nigerian man simply identified as Jibola, who shared the result online, revealed he would be sponsoring the boy’s university education.
According to Jibola, when he met the orphaned boy last year, he was carrying dirt for the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) to survive.
Jibola revealed that the boy also scored 277 in JAMB.

Controversial Nigerian singer, Temmie Ovwasa, has said she’s glad she cut ties with her mother.
The 25-year-old stated this in a question and answer session on her Instagram story, while speaking on her strained relationship with her mother.
Responding to a question on how it felt to cut ties with her mum, Temmie, who disclosed that she had a traumatizing childhood, said it was difficult to break ties with her mother, but she is glad she did.
According to her, her mum like many other women, is ”caught up in the lies, toxicity and abusive cycles”.
“I’m glad she’s no longer in my life, but I mourn the person I would have been if she didn’t traumatize me so much. It took me years to finally cut her off, a very difficult process, but I’m healing and mothering myself like I deserve to be mothered”, she wrote in part.

12-year-old Boy admits to accidentally shooting his Nigerian mom dead in Alabama, US.
A 12-year-old boy has confessed to accidentally shooting his mother, a Nigerian woman known as Ayobiyi Cook.
The 29-year-old registered nurse who friends called ‘Yo-Yo’, was found dead in the family’s Forestdale, Alabama home, on the 2400 block of Freemont Avenue after midnight on August 6.
The boy had initially told police that an intruder had entered their house, shot his mother and then ran away.
Deputy Chief, David Agee said ;
“The child originally fabricated a story that detectives determined was not possible,”
“After investigation, Sheriff’s Detectives were able to determine that the victim’s 12-year-old son unintentionally discharged a firearm striking his mother causing her death.
“After more probing, the boy finally changed his story.
“The child eventually gave a true account of what happened,”
“Evidence on the scene supports that the shooting was unintentional and the offense will be addressed through the Family Court system. The family has been cooperative throughout the process and the child will remain with them.”
The funeral for the slain mom will be held on August 12 at the Faith Memorial Chapel in Bessmer, Alabama.
Singer Kizz Daniel breaks silence on arrest, apologises, announces free show in Tanzania (Video)
Popular Nigerian singer, Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, better known as Kizz Daniel, has apologized to his fans for failing to perform at a show in Tanzania on Sunday.
This comes after the Buga hitmaker was arrested by the Tanzanian police in Dar es Salaam on Monday, August 8 for failing to perform at the show after being paid.
The show promoter claimed in an interview that the singer refused to perform because the airline failed to bring his bag containing his gold chains and insisted he would not perform without wearing all his gold chains.
Well, at a press conference on Tuesday night, Kizz Daniel shared his side of the story, apologized to his fans, and promised a free show on Friday.
“The people were already going wild; the fans were going wild, which I know was out of love. So no disrespect to the fans… I was asked to stay back. ‘You can’t go’, ‘It’s not safe’. So I said ok. I sat down with the team, the organisers, the promoters; let’s come up with a way to make it up to the Tanzanian fans and we decided to do a makeup show for free. I even agreed to partner with them this time around.
“This Friday, a free show; I will be partnering with Straight Up Vibes to make that happen. I must apologize to the fans. None of this was intentional.” He said.

Jealous husband who strangled his wife and drank poisonous substance dies in Suleja hospital
A husband who strangled his wife in Suleja, Niger state, has died from complications after he consumed a poisonous substance.
Mr Adeniyi Jose, from Akure, Ondo State is reported to have strangled his wife-of-eight years, Chidinma Gloria Ibeh, from Imo state, with a rope and also suffocated her with a pillow.
He afterwards consumed a poisonous substance said to be sniper. He was then rushed to Suleja General Hospital.
An insider who spoke with LIB gave an update that the man is now dead.
The insider also revealed Mr Adeniyi Jose’s suspicion that his wife was unfaithful had no basis.
“Gloria never cheated on her husband. People should stop saying what they don’t know,” the source said to LIB.
They added that Mr Adeniyi has always been a jealous husband and picked fights with his wife whenever he saw her talking to any man.

Robbers invade actor Hafiz Oyetoro ‘Saka’s’ home
Nollywood comic actor, Hafiz Oyetoro, popularly known as Saka, was attacked by robbers at his residence in the wee hours of Monday, August 8.
It was gathered the robbers broke into the actor’s home in Abeokuta, Ogun state, around 2am after disarming and tying down his security guards.
The actor’s friend, Kayode Soaga, who confirmed the incident in a statement, said,
“The Robbers broke into his Home at about 2:00 am. Heavily Armed with Pump action Guns, Matchetes, Breaking in Tools. His security Guards were tied down and demobilized.
“Three other houses on the street were robbed with more devastating effect. They broke the burglary proof and went straight to him demanding #20 million or his life. Threatening to kill and destroy.
“He begged and pleaded. They later came down to #3 million naira which he said he doesn’t have. They dazed him with a resounding slap etc. The armed robbers packed all android phones, iPhones, laptops, and all available cash in the home. Also collected all ATM cards. The robbers came with POS to empty money in accounts.
Saka’s security guards were demobilized while the guards of his neighbours were not too lucky as they were shot several times in the arms. We thank almighty GOD for Saka’s Life as he’s doing fine”.
The actor is said to be doing fine with his family after the horrific incident.

Pyrates confraternity reacts to viral video of its members mocking Bola Tinubu’s health (watch)
The National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity) has reacted to the trending video of its members mocking the presidential flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Over the weekend, a video surfaced online showing members of the Confraternity holding a procession in which they were gyrating to a song that says;
“Hand dey shake, leg dey shake, Baba wey no well, e de shout emi lo kan (Hands are shaking, legs are shaking. A sick old man is shouting ‘it’s my turn’).

The video was said to be an attack on Tinubu and the confraternity was accused of making fun of the presidential candidate because the slang ’emi lo kan’ became popular after he said it during a speech in June, where he said he wants to succeed President Buhari because it’s his turn.
Professor Wole Soyinka, who is one of the founding members of the confraternity, also condemned the video and said the lyrics is ‘distasteful and frankly appalling’.
Well, the NAS Capoon, Abiola Owoaje, has now released a statement titled “Setting the Records Straight” to address the controversial video.
He said the video was filmed during the procession held to round up its 46th Annual General Meeting, and that it was not political but has now been used by some people for political gains.
He noted that the confraternity is apolitical and are not supporting any political candidate in the forthcoming 2023 general election and beyond.
The statement reads in part,
“We must stress that we are apolitical. As an organisation, we have never had a preferred candidate in any political elections including the upcoming 2023 general elections. We have members who belong to different political parties and are absolutely free to support any candidate of their choice.
It is most unfortunate that political capital is being made of this with interpretations that are totally at variance with the philosophy of the Pyrates Confraternity. Unequivocally, we condemn this in very strong terms.
We understand that political merchants desperately seeking media mileage are all over the place misinforming and twisting events to suit their political agenda. However, we wish to re -emphasise that the National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity) are not supporting or backing any candidate for the office of the President or any other office in the 2023 general elections and beyond.
As an organisation in tune with disadvantaged and voiceless people, we are committed to the enthronement of a just society in which no one is discriminated against based on tribe, religion, gender or disability. We are against conventions that are moribund. We have always stood for Humanistic ideals, comradeship and chivalry. Nothing that has happened can and will change that posture.
We are determined to continue to use our social programmes, intellectual platforms and our compelling songs to advocate for good governance and accountability!”

American professional tennis player, Serena Williams, has announced that she is retiring from tennis.
The 40-year-old announced her retirement in the latest issue of Vogue, published on Tuesday, August 9.
The legendary tennis player who welcomed her first child, Olympia, in 2017, said her decision was influenced by the desire to expand her family and spend more time with her husband, Alexis,
Her retirement is, however, not immediate, as she revealed in her Vogue piece that she is still hopeful she can play at the US Open in New York later this month.
“I have never liked the word retirement. Maybe the best word to describe what I’m up to is evolution. I’m here to tell you that I’m evolving away from tennis, toward other things that are important to me.”
“I never wanted to have to choose between tennis and a family. I don’t think it’s fair,” Williams wrote. “If I were a guy, I wouldn’t be writing this because I’d be out there playing and winning while my wife was doing the physical labor of expanding our family.”

Akintola, in an interview with Vanguard, reacting to Khalid’s actions in the house, said he cannot make any Shari’a pronouncement on Khalid.
Akintola, who described the reality show as satanic, said MURIC has repeatedly called on the federal government to ban the show.
“I have no comment concerning Khalid. Whatever anybody is doing in BBNaija is haram, BBNaija itself; the whole of it. So, it’s not about the aspect of alcohol or whatever. I was part of a group that went to court to stop BBNaija, but the system continues to encourage BBNaija, some of our people in the media, and journalists continue to encourage them because there’s money there.
“Nigeria worships money and then we are destroying our youths, who are watching this show and there are some irresponsible parents, too, who are watching and encouraging their children to watch it. The youth, whether a young man or an old man who goes to participate in BBNaija should be condemned. I will not pick any individual for particular criticism.
“Why will I pronounce a Shariah judgment on them? If it is in Oyo, Lagos or Enugu, they are not Shari’a compliant states. I can not make a Shari’a pronouncement on them. We can not bring Shari’a into BBNaija. I can not make any Shari’a pronouncement in a non-Shari’a issue, in a non-Shari’a state.
“Whatever is built on nothing is nothing. Whatever is built of haram is haram. We condemn BBNaija and whatever it produces, whatever is the product that comes out of it remains condemnable whether they are Muslims or Christians, we condemn every action that takes place in BBNaija and the government should ban it, but the government is not listening to what we are saying”. A video of former president Olusegun Obasanjo giving his grandson culture lessons has gone viral and stirred heartwarming reactions.
The little boy visited his grandfather in his home and casually welcomed him. However, the proud Yoruba man, who apparently wasn’t pleased with his grandson’s method of greeting, decided to teach him how to do it properly.

During a recent conversation with Daniella, Amaka, who has severally spotted the season 7 lovebirds making out, shared what she thinks might become of her (Daniella’s) relationship with Khalid outside the house.
A concerned Amaka opened up to Daniella about a conversation she previously had with Khalid in which he made it clear that it was impossible for him to settle down with a Christian.
According to Amaka, the Muslim housemate had told her that he could only settle down with a Muslim woman.
Amaka asked Daniella if she was willing to enjoy a 72-day relationship with Khalid in the house but suffer heartbreak after the house.

According to the 26-year-old, her mother only asked if she was ready to be deflowered and advised her to use protection to prevent unwanted pregnancy or a sexually transmitted disease.
Her revelation came as a shock to her fellow housemates who asked if her mother is a Nigerian, because most Nigerian mums are very strict and not open to talk about sex with their children.
In response to the questions from her awestruck co-stars, Doyin said her mother is a full-bred Nigerian who prefers that she talks to her about anything, including sex, than talk to an outsider.
