A Nigerian lady has narrated how her cleaner told her she can’t come to work because she was under the influence of a drug or alcohol.

The lady, identified as Grace Chibueze-Okere, took to Facebook to reveal that her cleaner didn’t show up to work so she called her phone repeatedly to ask for the reason behind her absence but she didn’t pick up.

Much later, the cleaner sent her a text message saying she was still hungover from the drug or alcohol she took the previous night and needs time to fully recover.

Grace who seemed dazed by the cleaner’s response, pointed out that the cleaner gets paid for her job and questioned if she’s supposed to make provisions for when she’s high.

She wrote;

“Not my cleaner sending me a message that she can’t come to work after I called severally, that she got high the previous day and still down, it’s not free o, I pay her salary, so I should make provisions for her high days. Interesting times!”

A Nigerian lady has narrated how she and other passengers were attacked by bandits while travelling in Okene, Kogi state.

In a video she filmed after the attack, the young lady said they were attacked at gunpoint by some unknown assailants who abducted the driver of the commercial vehicle and three other passengers.

The lady who looked petrified said they were now stuck in Okene and one of the passengers had to take the wheels. However, she didn’t disclose the date of the attack or their destination.

Her words,

“We just got attacked by bandits at gunpoint. I dey hear news, I dey see news. Today I saw it life. This is why people do not go by road. They took our driver…It is another passenger that is driving. They took the driver, the guy who was sitting at the front, three other persons. We are stuck here in Okene. Nigeria is finished.”

A Ugandan man, simply identified as Ssalongo, has abandoned his wife and children after they welcomed a set of twins for the fifth time in a row.

His wife, Nalongo Gloria, speaking in an interview with NTV Mwasuze Mutya said her husband dumped her because he felt the series of twin births are not ‘normal’.

According to her, when they discovered she was expecting twins, he started complaining and told her to return to her parent’s house.

Her words,

“When I got pregnant with twins, the man said this is too much for him and told me to go home.

“Where he was sending me, I didn’t have their numbers anymore because I came to Kampala to work as a house girl.”

She said she had nowhere to go to and remained in their matrimonial home which caused him to move out of the house, abandoning her and their children.

She further revealed that some of her older children have left home to an unknown destination and she doesn’t know their whereabouts.

To make matters worse, her landlord has given her an eviction notice because he said he does not want “her or her luggage”.

Speaking on her current state of mind following the series of unfortunate events, Gloria said,

“I don’t regret giving birth to all these children. I know their father doesn’t like them, and I can’t drop them at his place. Despite the challenges, I will never abandon my kids. I know God will provide.

“I handed my things to the Lord. I have suffered but God knows best.”

The overjoyed husband took to Instagram moments ago to congratulate his wife, Mercy Stacy Ebere, on her graduation from the prestigious Coventry University in the United Kingdom.

Sharing beautiful photos from the event showing his wife in a graduation robe, he recounted some of the struggles she went through, including losing a 5 month pregnancy and deferring for a whole year before she finally graduated.

He commended her resilience and declared that she weathered the storm and survived.

A 19-year-old girl identified as Precious Agbokhade, has been rapped and stabbed to death by yet-to-be identified persons in her home in Edo state.

It was gathered that the young lady was the only one home when she was attacked, as her family had left for church.

A close source who confirmed Precious’s death said the incident happened on Sunday, July 17, at her residence in Agenebode, Edo State.

She had been stabbed multiple times in various parts of her body when her family found her after they got home from church on Sunday.

They also noted that blood stains were found all around her room.

Friends have trooped to social media to mourn the demise of the 19-year-old. A Facebook user, Jospeh Daniel, wrote, “Can’t believe you are no more dear. RIP. “

A heartbreaking video making the rounds online showed the mother of the deceased crying profusely as she sat on the floor by her daughter’s corpse.

A UK-based woman has left netizens stunned after she revealed she fried an egg using only the heat from the sun.

The 62-year-old woman, Jill Hembury, brought her pot outdoors, set it on her car’s dashboard, added a cracked egg, and boom! the egg cooked.

This reportedly happened during yesterday’s heatwave, July 18, when the temperature peaked at 38.1C in Suffolk.

Sharing photos of the egg before and after, Jill Hembury said, “Walking out of the front door is like walking out of an airplane in Spain.”The egg only took 20 minutes to cook – it was hilarious!”

Actress and influencer, Susan Pwajok otherwise known as Blessing on ‘The Johnsons’ show, has taken to social media to mourn the sad demise of her screen mom, Ada Ameh.

The deceased actress who slumped and died on Sunday, July 17, in Delta state, played the role of ‘Emu’ on the popular TV sitcom and was a mom to four children, including Susan.

Susan who was distraught by the news of Ada’s death, took to her Instagram page to disclose that she was a motherly figure to her in reality and not only in the movie.

She shared screenshots of their conversations to show that the late actress cared and loved her liked she was her biological daughter.

Ada Ameh would check on her occasionally, shower prayers on her and reprimand her whenever she errs.

She added that the late actress was very present in her life and never missed any milestone in her life since she was in primary school.

Nigerian singer, Efe Ejeba, who emerged winner of Big Brother Naija season 2 in 2017, has for the first time reacted to rumours that he squandered his winnings.

The Delta State-born rapper won the second season of the continent’s biggest reality show and walked away with a N25 million grand prize. However, shortly after rumors circulated that Efe had squandered the prize money.

In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Efe dispelled the reports as false.

According to him, contrary to viral reports, he did not squander the money, but invested it.

He noted that, contrary to speculations, he invested the entire N25 million (twenty-five million naira), although he did not give further details.

“I invested the whole money I did not even buy one shirt with that money”, he said in part.

A while ago, Efe denied claims of being blacklisted by Big Brother Naija organizers after he won the reality show.

News made rounds recently that the BBNaija season 2 winner was blacklisted by Multichoice because he allegedly disrespected their head. According to Nigerian media personality, Noble Igwe, Efe sat in his car and asked for the head of Multichoice to meet him before he comes out.

The iconic actress passed away on Sunday, July 17, in Delta state after a long battle with depression at age 48.

Reacting to the circumstances surrounding her sudden death, actress Uche urged people to start showing love to people and not wait until they are battling with a life threatening illness.

According to her, people should extend love and support to their loved ones even when they seem fine and everything is working out for them.

Singer, Portable, has cleared the air on his support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the just concluded Osun gubernatorial election.

It would be recalled that the singer had, in a series of social media posts, declared his support for Governor Oyetola of the APC and urged his fans and followers to vote for him.

Portable was also at the APC mega rally that was held in Osogbo and even came under fire from netizens for his conduct during the rally.

To set the record straight, Portable claimed in a video he posted online that he never intended to campaign for the APC. According to him, he was invited to perform at a show and subsequently found himself in the APC office.

Speaking further, he accused the party of taking advantage of him and failing to pay his balance.

Nollywood actress, Eucharia Anunobi has retracted her earlier statement in support of premarital sex.

The self-styled evangelist had in a video shared on her Instagram page said people who advise engaged couples against having sex before marriage are out of their minds.

According to her, it’s pure wickedness to tell single folks not to engage in premarital sex as they would not be able to test their sexual compatibility with their intended spouse. ICYMI

The video was met with mixed reactions from social media users who disagreed with her stance while others opined that she was being sarcastic.

Well, the thespian has now shared a follow-up post where she made a U-turn on her previous statement.

She said dating is not a time for sexual intercourse, but a time to get to know your intended partner.

The 57-year-old actress wrote,

“Dating/courting period is a time for interview to know each other better: With respect to getting basic information such as visions, values, beliefs, family, etc.

So that if you find them unworthy and unqualified you cut them off easily. It’s not a time for sexual intercourse. 2 Timothy 2:22.

Truth be told how many people are you going to have sex with just because you are dating or in courtship towards getting married ? Okay you had indulged in sex in the past all because you had been proposed to or you have proposed , but now that you are wiser : DO YOU STILL KEEP JUMPING IN THE BED AND ARMS OF EVERYONE?”

A man on social media simply identified as Jesse Thomas has become and Internet Sensation after he wore a skirt to work because the company he works for banned men from wearing shorts despite the summer heat.

In some parts of the world, a phenomenom which meterologists call an “apocaplypse” has seen the UK encountering one of the hottest summers ever.

The extreme summer heat wave also caused a runway to “melt” at Royal Air Force Airport.

Due to the heat, Brists have been trying to deal with the heat wave by wearing less as they dumped their suits for shorts.

However, Thomas’ company decided to ban shorts and a he found a way to protest against the ban by wearing a skirt to work.

He shared a photo of himself in a shirt tucked into a skirt on Twitter

Sharing the photo, he wrote ; “Work dress code states no shorts.”

For the first time, the Met Office issued a “Red warning” in response to the extraordinary heat.

Paul Gundersen who is the Met Office Chief Meteorologist said in a statement: “It is important people plan for the heat and consider changing their routines. This level of heat can have adverse health effects.”

Nigerian singer and billionaire daughter, Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, has admitted that she needs more friends following a recent event.

The Disc Jockey, who just finished a Masters program at Oxford University, had taken to her social media pages to share a video of herself flying solo on a private jet.

Sharing the video, Cuppy noted that she needs more friends to join her in enjoying the good life, adding that travelling alone is not good for the environment.

“I clearly need MORE friends because a WHOLE jet just for me is SO bad for the environment.” She wrote.

Meanwhile, people have been urged to travel in groups by environmental and climate change campaigners in order to limit the number of aircraft in the sky and, consequently, carbon footprints.

In other news, DJ Cuppy has responded to a man who left a sexually perverse comment on her post.

The singer had taken to micro-blogging platform, Twitter, to share a light-hearted post about Insomnia which is a sleeping disorder that makes it difficult for people to sleep.

According to Cuppy, Insomia turns one into a mathematician as you would lie awake at night calculating the number of hours you would get to sleep when you eventually fall asleep.

However, a perverted Twitter user seized the opportunity to tell Cuppy what he would do to her body if he gets the chance to have sex with her.

Popular media personality, Dotun, has tackled Nigerians blaming music executive, Olamide, for bringing singer, Portable, to the limelight.

Controversial singer, Portable made headlines on Monday, July 18, after claiming to be the founder of two notorious cult groups, One Million Boys and Ajah Boys.

The groups are notorious for their violent activities and have terrorized Lagos and parts of Ogun state, but their members and sponsors were unknown until yesterday, when Portable identified himself as their founder.

This claim by Portable sparked outrage from Nigerians online, with many blaming Olamide for pushing bringing him to limelight.

Recall that Portable came to spotlight in December 2021 after Olamide jumped on his “Zazu Zeh” track.

Well, addressing those berating Olamide, OAP Dotun, who had earlier called for Portable to be taken to rehab in a series of tweets, stated that no one should blame Olamide for Portable’s actions.

Popular Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade, has shared her thoughts on the lack of value for human lives in the country.

Taking to her verified Twitter handle on Tuesday morning, July 19, Yemi Alade noted that her country, Nigeria, has zero value for the lives of its citizens.

She bemoaned the lack of good and affordable medical care. According to her, many Nigerians are walking around with underlying diseases and conditions that eventually manifest under stress.

Nigerian singer, Omah Lay has opened up on his battle with depression and how it became worse after he slept with his therapist.

The 25-year-old singer who recently released his debut album ‘Boy Alone’ where he poured out his heart took to Twitter to share his ordeal.

According to him, he was sad, depressed, insecure and battled suicidal thoughts because his close pals abandoned and lost hope in him at the time he was recording the tracks in the album.

However, when he finished recording, he realized that he had created a masterpiece.

Boy Alone might be the last time y’all will hear me cry on a song, On G I was dead ass down, insecure, scared, depressed, loosing my mind like I was literally gonna kill myself.

My depression became worse after I knack my therapist.
