“Femi truly loves her” – Dele Momodu speaks on FFK’s reconciliation with ex-wife, Precious
Popular media personality, Dele Momodu, has revealed that there are reconciliation moves between former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, and his estranged wife, Precious.
It would be recalled that Femi Fani-Kayode recently reunited with his estranged wife, Precious Chikwendu, after months of a tempestuous custody battle for their four sons.
Precious had severally accused the former Aviation Minister of keeping their children away from her and threatening her with his power and influence.
Meanwhile, in February 2022, she was reportedly arraigned at the Federal High Court, Abuja, before Justice Inyang Ekwo over an allegation of attempting to kill FFK with a kitchen knife on November 24, 2018. Read here.
Well, it appears FFK and precious are finally willing to let bygones be bygones and let peace reign, as revealed by Dele Momomodu in an Instagram post on Sunday, July 3.
Sharing photos of the pair on his Instagram page, Momodu revealed that FFK loves his ex-wife, Precious and there are now reconciliation moves between them.
“BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS… I just got off the phone with my dear friend and Brother CHIEF FEMI FANI-KAYODE and was happy to learn of reconciliation moves between him and his enstranged wife PRECIOUS. Indeed there’s nothing GOD cannot do… I had tried so much to intervene after PRECIOUS contacted me about a year ago but both parties refused to back down… I pray for the sake of their lovely children, they will allow peace to reign permanently… FEMI truly loves her”.
“My greatest regret is not signing Teni and Patoranking when I had the chance to” – Music executive, Soso Soberekon
Nigerian music executive, Soso Soberekon has disclosed that he regrets not signing popular singers, Teni Makanaki and Patoranking, when he had the chance to.
He made this disclosure during an interactive session with his followers on Instagram when a follower asked for his greatest regret in life.
“What is your greatest regret or decision you didn’t take?” he asked.
In response, the record label owner revealed that he regrets not signing Teni and Patoranking when the opportunity arose.
According to him, Patoranking went the extra mile to get his attention when he was a struggling artiste but he flouted the opportunity and signed another artiste who isn’t doing so well now.
He wrote,
“Why I didn’t sign Patoranking & Teni when I had the chance to, especially Patoranking. He was taking Okada from Ikorodu/Ebute Meta to meet me several times with his demo CD. Begging me to sign him but I couldn’t sign him then, but later signed someone else that Patoranking is 100 times bigger than today.”
In response to another question, Soberokon disclosed that his greatest desire in life is to be married and have kids.

A female fan went wild with excitement after she received a whopping sum of N2 million and a pair of sneakers from superstar singer Davido on stage.
During his performance at an event last night, July 3, the 30BG boss invited the lucky fan on stage to perform his hit track “Stand Strong” with him.

The actor, according to a well-meaning Nigerian who posted the pictures online, is currently homeless and without a place to stay.

A young man was left heartbroken after discovering that his only child is not biologically his.
A video serving the rounds online showed the moment the heartbroken man confronted his wife about the paternity of the child.
From the exchange in the viral clip, it is gathered that the man had sponsored the woman’s education before they were married, and made several other sacrifices for her happiness.
He queried why she had an affair with another man and yet claimed made him believe he fathered the child.

British-Nigerian pastor, Jide Macaulay, has kicked against the death sentence handed to three men found guilty of homosexuality in Bauchi, Nigeria.
The three men including a 70-year-old, were sentenced to death by stoning by an Islamic Sharia Court in Ningi, Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
Rev. Macaulay, who is openly Gay and was recently appointed the Chaplain at St. Peter’s House, the chaplaincy of Manchester’s Universities, described the verdict as barbaric and an abuse of human rights.
In his words;
“This is heartbreaking and the very reason that Pride is a Protest. Killing gay people because of who they love is barbaric and an abuse of human rights. Nigeria allows the Northern states to execute gays under sharia law,” he wrote.
“We need a new voice of reason to protect the lives of lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender citizens in Nigeria. We must seek justice for the lives of these men.”

Abdulmuhyi Bagel Garba, a young Nigerian man who lost his fiancée in a fatal accident one month to their wedding in Bauchi, has penned an emotional tribute to her, six months after her death.
Garba’s fiancée, Hauwa Abdullahi Shehu, a 300 level student of Bauchi State University, was killed in the fatal crash which occurred on her way back to school in Gadau on Sunday December 2nd, 2021. Read here.

Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele is thrilled to have received an invitation to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Class of 2022.
The thespian, who was nominated alongside well-known international talents like Caitriona Balfe, Jessie Buckley, and Reed Birney, shared the good news on her Instagram page.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences was founded in 1927 and is the world’s preeminent movie-related organization. The Academy is known around the world for its annual Academy Awards, popularly known as “The Oscars.”

“Adultery is a crime liable to 3 years imprisonment” – Police warns
Popular police officer, Aliyu Giwa, has warned that adultery is a criminal offence and attracts a punishment of 2 years’ imprisonment.
The former Lagos State Police PRO made this disclosure via his Twitter handle. According to him, when tried, anyone found culpable of adultery would face a 2-year jail term or pay a fine.
“Do you know? Adultery is a crime liable to 2 years imprisonment! The ‘PENAL CODE LAW’ section 387 & 388 state: 387. Adultery by a man 388.
“Adultery by a Woman Whoever, being a man/woman subject to any customary law in which extra-marital sexual inter-course is recognized as a criminal offence, has sexual intercourse with a person who is not and whom he knows or has reason to believe is not his wife/husband, such sexual intercourse not amounting to the offence of rape, is guilty of the offence of adultery and shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years or with a fine or with both.” He wrote on Twitter.
A while ago, Giwa warned that any woman who attempts to procure an abortion is guilty of a felony and liable to a prison sentence of up to seven years.
The former Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command confirmed this on Twitter on Tuesday, June 21.
He added that anyone who attempts to cause a woman to miscarry her baby is liable to imprisonment for 14 years.
He further added that supplying medications or devices to facilitate abortion is a crime punishable by up to three years in prison.

It was gathered that the children, who were reportedly kept in the underground apartment of the church for trafficking, were discovered and rescued on Friday evening, July 2.
The pastor of the church and other accomplices have been arrested by the state police command.
The rescued children were seen in a viral video being driven to the police station by security operatives in a patrol van.
In the now viral clip, a voice could be heard saying, “They are kidnapped children recovered in the underground cell of a church in the Valentino Area of Ondo.” The pastor and some members of the church have been arrested and were also in the patrol van of the police. “
The command’s public relations officer, SP Funmilayo Odunlami, who confirmed the incident, disclosed that the victims have been taken to the police headquarters in Akure.
“They are transporting the casualties to the headquarters, but I’m still unsure of the specifics. I will provide you with the information as soon as I receive it from the DPO.” She said.

Veteran Nollywood actor, Jide Kosoko, has given reasons for supporting the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The thespian stirred reactions a few days ago after he and some other actors in the Yoruba movie industry, the likes of Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello), Yinka Quadri, and Funke Daramola-Salako, openly declared their support for Tinubu.
He also appealed to Nigerians to give the former Lagos state governor a chance to become president because the country needs him.
Speaking on his support for Tinubu in an interview with Punch’s Saturday Beat, the actor noted that he and other Nollywood stars have benefitted from Tinubu’s benevolence in the past.
“I have benefited from him and his wife. As a matter of fact, I have had a relationship with his family for a long time. He is a focused leader; a leader of all leaders.
“He has personally developed many people in our industry, especially those that had health challenges. For example, when actress, Moji Olaiya, died in Canada, he was responsible for everything that had to with transporting her body back home.
“If you observe his wife, you will see that she is a very quiet woman that does a lot for people. I know the number of sick people (in the industry) that she has also sent money to.
“The film industry has enjoyed Tinubu, as he was the first person to give us several hectares of land in Badagry to construct a film village.
The succeeding administration gave us reasons the place was not conducive enough, and immediately, an effort was made to give us another place in Epe.” He said

Bose Ogulu, the mother of Nigerian superstar singer Burna Boy, penned quite an interesting note to her son on his 31st birthday.
The Grammy award winner turned 31 today, July 2, and his mum took to her Instagram page to celebrate him.
Bose, who doubles as her son’s manager, noted that she is proud of all of her son’s accomplishments and the man he is growing into.
She, however, urged him to “tone down the madness” in this new year.

“Anybody who blasphemes Jesus will taste the wrath of God” – Pastor Adeboye
Revered clergyman, Enoch Adeboye, has seemingly reacted to media personality, Daddy Freeze’s comment on the Owo massacre.
It would be recalled that following the terrorist attack on worshippers at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, in Owo, Ondo state, residents summoned Ogun, the god of iron, to bring justice to those killed in the attack.
Reacting to the event, Daddy Freeze, who supported the act, said the women turned to the god of Iron because Jesus refused to answer them.
“When dem call bros J and he nor answer dem nko? We abandoned African paganism to adopt European pagan ideologies. Until we start telling ourselves the truth and take our security issues more seriously this won’t end. Christ’s message is love and that’s the first thing so glaringly missing in Nigeria.” Daddy Freeze had written.
In what seemed like a reaction to Daddy Freeze’s comment, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, in a sermon in his church, said,
“I understand that one funny fellow said that some people were calling on Ogun because Jesus didn’t answer them. Well, the one who said that there’s a Yoruba proverb, it said, the mouth that the snail uses to blasphemy God, that mouth would kiss the ground. From now on, anybody who dares blaspheme Jesus Christ, they will taste the fire of the Almighty God.”
Speaking further, Pastor Adeboye added,
“I don’t want to say much, because I know whatever I say, some people may want to twist it. But I’ve searched the Bible from cover to cover and there is nowhere in the Bible where God said a child of God cannot defend himself.
“If you find the place, let me know. He said, if they slap you on the right cheek, turn the left. If they now slap the left, what did he say? When God is silent, do you know the meaning of that, it simply means, over to you.
“Every enemy of the church, as long as my Father is still on the throne, as long as Jesus lives, as long as His name is the consuming fire, if they don’t repent, the fire of God will consume them. I’m not talking to everybody o, I’m only talking to my children.”

A Canada-based Nigerian lady has taken to social media to share a piece of advice with her countrymen who are considering moving to Canada.
The Nigerian lady in a video currently making the rounds online told Nigerians looking to relocate to the North American country to be prepared for the hustle and bustle.
In the video documenting a typical day in her life as a factory worker, she revealed that as early as 4:50 am, she is already on her way to work to resume at 5am.
She noted that waking up that early was a major strain for her, so anybody that is making plans to relocate there should prepare their minds.
“It’s is about 10 minutes to 5 and I am heading to work. It was a struggle waking up this morning, a huge struggle. This is part of the things we go through, so be ready in case your journey is like mine.” She said in part

Meanwhile, reality TV star and entrepreneur, Nina Ivy, has rebuked migrants, discouraging others from relocating abroad in search of greener pastures.
Taking to her Insta-stories, the mother of one noted that some migrants complain about heavy taxes and snow, making it look like it is a struggle to live abroad.
Nina then stated that if they don’t like it there, they should go back to their countries so that others who would appreciate the opportunity can come in.

Alaafin of Oyo’s wife, Olori Kafayat, dies in US months after his death
Olori Kafayat Adeyemi, one of the wives of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, is dead.
The queen, who is one of the monarch’s oldest queens, passed away on Friday night, July 1, in the US, barely two months after Oba Lamidi Adeyemi’s death.
Olori Kafayat is the mother of Prince Adebayo Adeyemi, popularly known as D’Guv, the Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Pensions Board.
Mr. Bode Durojaye, the Director of Media and Publicity at the Alaafin Palace, confirmed her death to Punch on Saturday morning.
He said, “She died in the United States of America. I will give you the details later.”
The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi died in April 2022 at the age of 83.
The top Yoruba traditional ruler died in the late hours of Friday, April 22, 2022 at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, PremiumTimes reports.
According to the report, the remains of Alaafin Adeyemi, the third from the Alowodu Ruling House, were brought to Oyo in the early hours of Saturday, April 23 and traditional rites began.
Alaafin Adeyemi, the third from the Alowodu Ruling House, ruled for 52 years.
The traditional ruler had been sick and a plan had been made to fly him abroad before he passed on late Friday night.
A source familiar with the medical travel plan said his tickets and those of a few wives were already procured.

It would be recalled that during the Big Brother Naija reunion that was aired recently, the former housemate came into the bad book of netizens, especially the EmmaRose shippers, after his in-house lover, Liquorose, recalled how she caught him with a lady in Dubai, which led to their split.
However, in his defense, the former Mr. Nigeria claimed that he never asked Liquorose to be his girlfriend, so they were technically not in a relationship.
The revelation sparked outrage from fans, who took to social media to air their displeasure with his attitude on the show.
Well, Emmanuel, via his official Twitter handle, has now apologized to his fans and everyone who was disappointed with his actions. He stated that he has learned his lessons and is trying to be a better man.

“Real men don’t hit women. It’s a sign of weakness” – Actor, Yul Edochie tells men (video)
Popular Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has taken to his social media page to advise men against physically assaulting their women.
Speaking in a video shared on his Instagram page, Yul stated that real men don’t hit women and any man who assaults his women is weak.
According to him, it’s normal for couples to have misunderstandings because they can’t always see eye to eye on issues but a man must never beat his woman no matter how angry he is.

A while ago, Yul Edochie revealed that some people are wishing death on his family.
This comes after the 40-year-old actor came under heavy fire for taking Judy as a second wife and betraying his wife of seventeen years.
On Tuesday, June 28, Yul took to his Instagram page to disclose that people are wishing his family death.
However, he didn’t take the bitter comments lightly and returned the curses back to the senders in multiple folds.
