A final year student of the Federal University Otuoke (FUO), Bright, has been shot dead by suspected armed robbers in Bayelsa state.
According to viral reports, the young man was robbed and murdered at his home along Block Industry, Imiringi Road in Yenagoa in the early hours of Wednesday morning, June 1.

American singer, Keke Wyatt has announced the birth of her 11th child, a baby boy, which is her second with her husband, Zackariah Darring.
The 40-year-old singer took to her Instagram page to share the good news with her followers on Thursday, June 2, and disclosed that he has been named Ke’Zyah Jean Darring.
She said she was advised by doctors to abort the pregnancy due to a medical complication, but she and her husband held on to their faith in God and thankfully, she carried the pregnancy to full term and delivered a healthy baby.

In other news, a 38-year-old man, Ebuka Enuma, was arraigned before a Yaba magistrate court in Lagos on Tuesday, May 31 for allegedly being in possession of a human skull.
It’s gathered that suspect who lives in the Bariga area of Lagos, stole the skull after he broke into Amukoko Cemetery and excavated an old grave on May 13.
Prosecution Counsel, ASP Rita Momah said Enuma was nabbed while trying to leave the cemetery.
The offence, she said, contravenes the provisions of Section 238 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 (Revised).
A father of seven, Azeez Balogun, has been arrested for allegedly beating his wife, Tawa, to death in the Itire area of Ajangbadi, Lagos State.
The deceased was said to be his second wife and they have three children together while his first wife bore four children for him.
According to neighbors of the couple, Balogun physically assaults Tawa at the slightest provocation and this has been going on for years so it was considered to be a normal occurrence.
On the tragic day of the incident on Monday, May 31, Balogun was said to have beaten his wife mercilessly and she was heard crying out for help from people around.
She reportedly collapsed from the beating and passed away, after which Balogun ran away from their house in Lagos to Ogun state where he turned himself into the police.
The spokesperson of the Ogun state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident, said the suspect denied beating his wife to death and claimed to have knocked her down with his car.
His words,
“According to the testimony of the husband of the victim, he mistakenly knocked down the wife with his car when she helped him to open the gate while he was driving out of the compound.
We have yet to ascertain if the suspect lost control or mistakenly hit the wife as a result of brake failure or had other ulterior motives, but investigation is still ongoing to uncover the true cause of the incident that led to the death of his wife.”
Veteran Nollywood actor, John Okafor, otherwise known as Mr. Ibu, has finally nabbed the individual who hacked his social media pages.
Mr. Ibu had earlier raised the alarm that his social media pages and bank account were hacked and that the culprit was impersonating him and asking for donations from Nigerians.
However, after several months of trying to get his pages back, the culprit has now been caught and identified as a Nollywood actor.
Mr. Ibu’s daughter, Chioma Jasmine, made this disclosure in a post shared on Mr. Ibu’s Instagram page on Thursday, June 2.
According to her, the culprit, who also happens to be a Nollywood actor, is appealing for his identity to be kept hidden because revealing his true identity will ruin his career.
“This is to let everyone know that we have cat fished the person that hacked MR Ibu’s verified Instagram account! He was arrested yesterday and the case is in the police station! He confessed to the crime and investigation is still on going, it’s so saddening to know that it was one of the colleagues in the Nollywood industry.”
“His motives are still yet to be known. Revealing his identity depends on how far the extent of the damages that he was using the account to do was ! Please help us let the general public know that they can stop reporting the account now as it had been restored to us! Thanks. A question on whether to reveal the identity of the actor or not was also thrown at social media users.

Nigerian rapper and actor, Ikechukwu Onunaku has taken to social media to seek justice for his wife’s 14-year-old cousin who was found dead in the boarding house of his school in Imo state.
According to Ikechukwu, the deceased, Obinna Obiefuleh, was a student of Queen of the Holy Innocent Secondary School, Ogwume in Ideato Local Government Area of the state and was in SS2.
He said he was found dead with bruises on his body and it’s believed that he was physically assaulted.
However, Ikechukwu claims the school is not giving a valid explanation for the tragic incident.

Nollywood actor, James Ikechukwu Esomugha, popularly known as Jim Iyke, has responded to rumors that he converted to Islam.
Social media got buzzing some days ago after a Twitter user and some blogs reported that the 45-year-old actor converted to Islam.
“I heard that the popular Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has revert to Islam. Alhamdulillah! Welcome to Islam, religion of peace. We welcome you wholeheartedly,” the tweep wrote.
Jim Iyke, in response, dismissed the claims as rumors. He noted that the photo of him that sparked the runours was from a movie scene.
He declared that he has no intention of converting his faith. “It will never happen”, he said in part.
