Mercy Aigbe’s husband, Kazim Adeoti has broken his silence following his first wife, Funsho Adeoti’s recent outburst on social media.

It can be recalled that Funsho took to her social media page to publicly warn her husband and Mercy Aigbe over the home they currently live in.

The drama started after Mercy shared photos and videos of herself in her husband, Kazim’s house on Sunday. However, this didn’t sit well with Funsho who warned the thespian to take the posts down within 12 hours.

Mercy didn’t listen, but instead posted another video of herself in the house. This infuriated Funsho who then went online to reveal that she furnished the house with her hard-earned money and threatened to take brutal action against her husband and Mercy. Read here

Adeoti has now responded to her claims and threats in a statement shared on his Instagram page.

He disclosed that he built the house himself and his ex-wife only bought some furnishing for the house, to which he refunded part of the money to her.

He added that his first wife forced him to marry a second wife when she permanently relocated to the U.S, adding that there’s nothing wrong with his action because his religion, Islam, permits him to marry more than one wife as long as he can take care of them.

According to the mother of four, men also suffer domestic abuse but it is not really talked about.

Korra Obidi’s elder sister, Nancy Umeh, has taken to Facebook to read a cease and desist letter her sister’s estranged husband, Justin Dean sent to her through his lawyers to warn her to stop defending her sister online.

According to Nancy, she encouraged the dancer to stay in an “abusive” marriage with Justin Dean and she has now apologised for this.

She also accused her sister’s estranged husband trying to shut her up for defending her family.

Nancy further revealed that that when she travelled abroad to do Omugwo after Korra welcomed her first child, she observed that Korra’s money went into a joint account she has with Justin and it did not seem right

Nancy warned that this is usually the beginning of financial abuse for women.

She accused Justin of being abusive and she then opened up on how she encouraged her younger sister to stay in the abusive marriage.

She said Justin has been spoiling her family’s name and accused her sister of being a cheat, despite the fact that he never caught his sister with a man yet her family kept quiet. She said that now she’s speaking to defend her sister, he’s trying to silence her.

She also claimed that Justin broke Korra’s phone multiple times because he wasn’t happy about her doing videos on social media.

However, when the money started coming from her videos, she said Justin allegedly used it to pay his students loans.

Taking to Twitter to narrate the funny incident on Sunday, May 9, Made, one of the grandsons of legendary musician, Fela Kuti, disclosed that the man recruited a lady who pretended to be a hairstylist looking for clients, to collect his woman’s phone number in his presence.

Veteran actor, Adebayo Salami was moved to tears on his 70th birthday when his children presented him with a brand new SUV.

The thespian turned 70 today, Monday, May 9, and his children surprised him with the brand new luxury whip as a birthday gift.

Adebayo Salami’s son, actor Femi Adebayo, took to his Instagram page to share the video that captured the heartwarming moment the car was presented to his father.

In the video, the septuagenarian who couldn’t hold his emotions as he received the gift shed tears of joy.

Sharing the video, Femi wrote,

Funsho Adeoti, the first wife of Mercy Aigbe’s new husband, Kazim Adeoti, has continued to drag the actress and her husband online.

The drama started after Mercy Aigbe shared a video of herself at her husband, Kazim,’s house on Sunday.

In an apparent reaction to the post, Funsho, via her Insta-stories, gave the actress a 12 hour ultimatum to take down the post.

“@Realmercyaigbe @adekazproduction for the last and final time stop pushing me. Kazim do the needful, pull it down You’ve been warned 12 hours only”. She wrote. ICYMI.

However, rather than take down the post, an unbothered Mercy shared yet another video of herself in the house on Monday.

Triggered, Funsho then took to her Instagram page to share a chat with her husband, Kazim, where she warned him to tell his new wife to stop making and posting videos in the home “she furnished with her hard-earned money”.

She further stated that her husband never told her about marrying a second wife. She found out he had married the actress online, like everyone else.

“The next time Mercy makes another post in that house that I furnished with my hard earned money and post on social media, my next move will be brutal on this social media towards both of you…100% of everything in that house was furnished by me, the bed you fck her on was purchase by me, Darm you have zero shame”.

Police arrest man for alleged rape and blackmail of 16-year-old girl he met on Facebook

The Ogun state police command has arrested one 25-year-old Ebenezer Adeshina for the alleged rape and blackmail of a 16-year-old girl he met on Facebook.

Adeshina was arrested following a report lodged at Owode Egbado divisional headquarters by the victim, who stated that she met the suspect on Facebook sometime in 2021, and they began chatting.

The teenage girl told the police that at some point they stopped chatting because her fan was faulty. She did, however, mention that the suspect called her in March of this year and asked why she didn’t talk to him anymore, so she told him about her faulty phone.

The suspect then asked her to come to his house to collect the sum of three thousand naira for the repair of the phone. On getting there, she said the suspect offered her a drink, which she took, unaware that the drink had been laced with a sedative drug.

She said immediately after she took the drink, she became unconscious and the suspect used the opportunity to have unlawful carnal knowledge of her against her wish. After he had his way with her in a state of unconsciousness, she said the suspect took her nude pictures and started threatening to upload the pictures on social media if she didn’t pay him the sum of fifty thousand naira.

The police spokesperson, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said upon the report, the DPO Owode Egbado division, CSP Muhammad S Baba, detailed his detectives to go after the suspect. He said the suspect was eventually apprehended and he has confessed to crime.

A Nigerian lady, identified as Ndiana Utuk, has been thrown into mourning after losing her sister, Nsisong Utuk, to the cold hands of death.

It was gathered that Nsisong was one of those who perished in a ghastly motor accident that occurred last month while travelling to Uyo from Aba.

Friends and family of the deceased have gone online to mourn her untimely demise as they paid tribute to her.

A young Nigerian medical doctor who recently returned to Nigeria from Asia for an exchange program was reportedly shot dead in Enugu over the weekend.

The young man, identified as Evarastus, was shot dead by unknown gunmen and his car taken away in an area known as Four Corners in Enugu state.

It was gathered that the deceased was driving in his Lexus 350 when he was attacked by the gunmen, who shot him twice in his chest and fled the scene in his car.

In related news, a Nigerian couple were slain on their way to their wedding in Imo state, turning what was supposed to be a joyous day into a tragic one.

According to viral reports, the couple, both military personnel, were attacked by unknown gunmen on the way to the venue for their wedding.

It was gathered that the groom , a warrant officer was compulsorily retired ahead of his wedding to the female junior officer.

A military source disclosed that the couple were beheaded and their private parts mutilated.

The Nigeria Customs Service has reacted to a viral video of one of its officers assaulting an aide to the Delta state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa.

In the clip that sparked outrage online, Samson Nwachukwu, a Special Assistant to Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, was slapped and attacked by an officer of the Nigeria Customs Service in presence of his colleague and a military officer.

The officer can be heard angrily asking who Mr. Samson Nwachukwu is after he had told him he is a Special Assistant to Delta State Governor before slapping him. The video ended with the military officer telling the customs officer to “get this man down.” ICYMI.

The agency’s spokesperson, DC Timi Bomodi, in a statement disclosed that the officer in the viral video and other members of that team from FOU Zone ‘C’ have since been withdrawn from patrol duties and are currently under administrative investigation at the NCS Zonal Headquarters Zone ‘C’ Port Harcourt.

“Officers of the Nigeria Customs Service have been trained to carry out their duties with dignity and respect, and are expected to display decorum in all their conduct at all times. Where they fail to carry out their brief as assigned, appropriate sanctions are applied to enforce discipline. The NCS would like to reassure the general public of its commitment to the welfare and safety of all citizens and frowns seriously at any act by its personnel capable of misrepresenting its corporate image.

A Nigerian man has taken to social media to commend his friend who married a second wife with the approval of his first wife.

Human rights activist, Kola Edokpayi, who shared photos from the wedding, which was held on Sunday May 8, on Facebook, said the man made made sure he had his first wife’s agreement before proceeding with the ceremony.

Speaking further, Edokpayi called on churches to approve polygamy.

The brand influencer who couldn’t hold his excitement rushed to microblogging platform, Twitter, to announce the good news on Sunday, May 8, and glorified God for the testimony.

Although he didn’t disclose if the twins are his sister’s first children at 50, his excitement and joy shows that the bundles of joy are a special addition to the family.

He tweeted,

“My sister who turns 50yrs next week just gave birth to TWINS last night! I can’t hold my excitement! God finally did it for us. I’m the newest Uncle on the block.

I guess if we knew His plans, He wouldn’t be God! He truly is God!”

In other news, Reality TV star Vee has seemingly hinted at why she and her ex-boyfriend, fellow reality star Neo Akpofure, parted ways.

Vee had taken to Twitter on Friday to tweet lyrics from her newly released track “Let them say“, but many assumed that the post was a dig at her estranged lover, Neo.

In the tweet, she spoke about choosing peace and gladly going her way. She added that other girls can have “him” now.

“I chose peace and gladly went my way. Other gyals can have you now.” The tweet read.

BBNaija season 6 finalist and model, Emmanuel Umoh, has threatened to sue a controversial blogger over an alleged report that he is bisexual.

The blogger, Cutie Juls, had taken to Instagram to reveal the alleged reason why Emmanuel’s relationship with his co-star, Liquorose, with whom he had an amorous relationship while in the house, crashed.

According to the report, Liquorose reportedly caught the former Mr Africa cheating on her with a man in Dubai which informed her decision to end their relationship.

“So let me go straight cuz this ship got me emotional.

So we have confirmed the reason why this ship stopped sailing was that Rose caught Emma red handed cheating on her.

This happened in Dubai. Rose cause Emma cheating with a male partner.

As in, Emma does both. He is Bisexual. Rose was very hurt and she called off the relationship.

Honestly we wish her strength. Catching your partner cheating on you can be very traumatising.

This one really hit cuz it was with a male partner. We respect people’s sexual orientation choices but honey, don’t lie about it.

Let your partner know the deal. If he or she is game, bingo.
We wish both of them best.”

Reacting, a lot of people dragged Emmanuel for allegedly being bisexual and asserted that that explains why he wasn’t fully interested in Liquorose in the BBNaija house.

The 24-year-old model has now debunked the report in a post shared on his Instagram story, as he threatened to sue the blogger for character defamation.

BREAKING: ASUU extends strike by three months

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has extended its ongoing strike by 12 weeks.

The decision came following a meeting of the union’s national executive council (NEC) on Sunday at its University of Abuja secretariat.

In a statement issued after the meeting, Emmanuel Osodeke, ASUU president, stated that the extension takes effect from Monday, May 9, 2022. He said the extension is aimed at giving the government more time to satisfactorily resolve the issues.

“NEC was shocked that public universities have remained closed for about three months while members of the political class were busy purchasing expression of interest and nomination forms worth several millions of Naira in preparations for 2023 elections! Those in power turned their back on our degraded universities as they shuttle between Europe and America to celebrate the graduation of their children and wards from world class universities.

This speaks volumes on the level of depravity, insensitivity, and irresponsibility of Nigeria’s opportunistic and p@rasitic political class. NEC condemned Federal Government’s cavalier attitude towards the strike action in the last twelve weeks. Government’s resort to the use of starvation as a we@pon for breaking the collective resolve of ASUU members and undermine our patriotic struggle to reposition public universities in Nigeria is ill-advised and may prove counterproductive.

“After extensive deliberations, noting Government’s failure to live up to its responsibilities and speedily address all the issues raised in the 2020 FGN/ASUU Memorandum of Action (MoA) within the additional eight-week roll–over strike period declared on 14th March 2022, NEC resolved that the strike be rolled over for twelve weeks to give Government more time to satisfactorily resolve all the outstanding issues. The roll-over strike action is with effect from 12.01a.m. on Monday, 9th May, 2022,” the statement read.

Man plays cheating prank on girlfriend only to discover she cheated

A man was left heartbroken after he played a cheating prank on his girlfriend.

The young man revealed that he decided to play a cheating prank on his woman just for fun, but the result left him shattered.

According to him, he texted his girlfriend, telling her he knew she had cheated on him and she admitted to cheating. Unknown to her, it was just a prank.

Heartbroken, he shared screenshots of the conversation on Twitter and recounted how he did his best in the relationship.

“Played a prank on my gf and yes it turned out to be true I’ve always done my best even with it’s not convenient on my side. She doesn’t add anything to the relationship but yet, she cheats. Liability isonu”, his tweet read.

In other news, a 44-year-old woman has been charged with murdering her partner of 10 years after allegedly cutting off his genitals and stabbing him and his friend to death.

Jasmine Everleigh was charged with two counts of murder, after her partner Samir Esbeck, 59, and his friend Sarkis Abboud, 61, were stabbed in the early hours of Thursday, May 5.

According to Australia’s 7NEWS, the couple were together for 10 years and Everleigh attacked her partner before cutting off his genitals.

Her partner, Esbeck, died at the scene in an apartment in Brunswick, Melbourne, Australia while his friend Abboud died tragically on the way to hospital, reports the Mirror.

The woman was later arrested on a nearby tram in Calton and was found to have suffered cuts to her arms.

Acting Assistant Commissioner Mick Frewen told reporters: “She was bleeding and had a fair bit of blood on her.”

She was taken to hospital before being interviewed and charged with two counts of murder by police on Friday, May 6.

Mr Abboud’s daughter, Christine Abboud wrote on social media: “No one deserves this kind of pain left with them. My father was my hero, a loving husband and brother to his family. My heart feels empty knowing I won’t ever see him again … Dad, I love you.”

Lady appreciates boyfriend for changing her life within six months of meeting him as they move into new house

The lady identified as Rosie on Twitter, stated that she met and began dating her sweetheart in November 2021, and that he has completely transformed her life since then.

The excited lady who professed her love for her spouse also stated that they had both recently moved into a new apartment.

Taking to the micro-blogging platform, she shared a snapshot of the two of them clutching the keys to their new house, and captioned it,

”We met in November now we got our crib in May.. I love my boyfriend so much he literally changed my life around for the better Cheers to starting our life together.”

Reacting to Rosie’s post, another lady shared the interesting story of how she and her man started living together from the first day they met and have been together for three years now.
