“Believe in God not your pastors” — Reno Omokri warns as he calls out Pastor Tunde Bakare over failed prophecy
Social media commentator, Reno Omokri has called out Pastor Tunde Bakare after his prophecy of becoming the next President of Nigeria fell to the ground following his loss at the APC Presidential primary.
An old video of the clergyman and politician, who failed to secure a single vote in the primary election, telling his congregation that he will succeed President Buhari as the number one citizen in the country surfaced online after his loss.
In the video, Pastor Tunde said,
”Take it to the mountain top. If you have never heard it before I am saying it to you, in the scheme of things, as far as the politics of Nigeria is concerned, President Buhari is number 15 and yours truly is number 16.
I have never said that to you before. I make it plain this morning. I let you know it this morning, nothing can change it in the name of Jesus”
Reacting, Reno Omokri took to his Instagram page to slam the clergyman for making a ‘false’ prophecy and labelled him a master manipulator.
Sharing a picture of Pastor Tunde, he wrote,
“To all those who allow their pastors tell them who God says they should marry or not marry: Can you see how what Pastor Tunde Bakare claimed God told him panned out? Some of these pastors manipulate your belief in them. Believe in God not your pastors!
Tunde Bakare is a well known manipulator. He has lied in God’s Name not once or thrice. Please research these by yourself: In 1999, he claimed God told him Obasanjo would die and not be sworn in. In 2006, he claimed Buhari was part of Nigeria’s decaying past. In 2018, he said God told him he would be our 16th President!
Why am I calling him out? Because if we do not, he will explain this away and fool people with more lies in future.
Pentecostal and evangelical pastors are some of the most unsupervised people. In denominations, like the Catholic Church, they have a structure that helps a priest separate his delusions from the word of God. But with these churches, there are no such demarcations!”
Woman reveals she has a rare condition that makes her smell like fish; says she takes her bath four times a day
A 41-year-old woman, Kelly Fidoe-White, has revealed that she has a rare medical condition which makes her smell like fish.
Kelly, from Oldham, Manchester, said she noticed the offensive odour when she was six-years old but didn’t know the cause until she turned 34.
She said she had to shower at least four times a day, change her uniform twice, and use whole cans of deodorant to mask the smell.
According to her, she has been mocked, taunted, and called names by people due to the smell.
“People call it a curse, and I can see why,” she said.
She recounted a time when a mom had to bring fresh pair of clothes to her office after someone complained to management about her smell.
The medical condition has been identified as trimethylaminuria (TMAU) commonly known as “fish-odour syndrome” and it currently has no cure.
Kelly was diagnosed in 2015 and has undergone series of therapy and counselling for the decades of bullying she experienced.
Speaking with The Sun, Kelly said,
“As a healthcare professional, to be asked if you know you should be using soap when you wash, is really upsetting.”
“It has absolutely nothing to do with personal hygiene.
“I could wash every hour of every day and it would only be a short term fix.
“In fact, it is common for sufferers to smell worse after a shower because the pores open more due to the warm water.
“Your first thought is that it is BO [body odour]. So you wash more, use stronger soaps, wash your clothes using soda crystals, apply more perfume and body spray – all of which makes it worse.
“I ultimately learned that the skin needs to remain at its natural pH of 5.5 as acid breaks down TMAU as it comes through the skin – soaps, bleach and soda crystals are generally alkali.”
She added,
“It has nothing to do with weight, which was thrown at me a lot.
“In fact, my smell was worst when I was at my lightest.
“Currently I believe I am relatively symptom-free.

Nigerian singer, Daddy Showkey has reacted to reports of a new presidential candidate being chosen by a faction of Labour Party.
This comes after the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi emerged as the party’s presidential candidate after Pat Utomi stepped down for him at the primary election held recently.
Reacting to the emergence of another candidate said to be Peter Obi’s former aide, Chief Digar Ezenwafor, Daddy Showkey speaking in a video shared on his social media page, asserted that “they” are trying to use an Igbo man to fight another Igbo man.
He then called on Igbos to unite and not allow themselves be used to scuttle the chances of a credible candidate in the 2023 election.
The ‘galala’ crooner further advised Ezenwafor to abort his presidential ambition if he is a true Igbo man.

Korra Obidi and American doctor Justin Dean recently divorced after four years of marriage and two beautiful daughters together.
In the now viral clip, Korra took her daughter to see her father, but instead of going inside with the child, she sat outside and waited for her daughter to have a good time with her father.

Workers escape death as 5-storey building collapses in Ebonyi (photos)
A five-story structure under construction in Ngbabor, near Ebonyi State University’s Presco campus in Abakaliki, has collapsed.
The construction workers reportedly raced out of the building seconds before it collapsed on Tuesday, June 7 at around 2 p.m.
According to a local, the workers at the construction site raced out of it as soon as the building began to vibrate before it eventually collapsed.
Chris Anyanwu, the State Police Command’s spokesperson, verified the event during a press conference on Wednesday, June 8, saying “no casualty was recorded.”
Meanwhile, experts from the government have visited the collapsed structure to determine the cause of the tragedy. There was also a team of police officers and Ebubeagu operatives on the scene.
Government officials cautioned residents in the area not to approach the unfinished construction any closer for their own safety.

This comes barely a months after a three-story building in Ebute Meta, Lagos, collapsed.
The building located on Ibadan Street, Ebute Metta, collapsed around 9pm on Sunday, May 1, trapping many tenants. According to reports, the building was dilapidated and distressed before it eventually gave way.
Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the Director General of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, said the building had been sealed for demolition due to it’s dilapidated state but the occupants refused to move.

South African boxer dies in hospital two days after he became completely disoriented during a fight (video)
South African boxer, Simiso Buthelezi, has passed away two days after he became completely disoriented and started boxing the air during a fight on Sunday, June 5.
The deceased was on the verge of winning the fight against his opponent, Siphesihle Mntungwa, when he suddenly loosed focused in the final seconds of the last round.
A video shared online shows him swinging into thin air like he had lost understanding of his environment, and the referee had to end the fight after noticing that something was wrong.
Buthelezi was reportedly rushed to a hospital in Durban for quick medical intervention but sadly passed away on Tuesday night, June 7.
It was gathered that he was in coma and couldn’t talk, move or do anything, and it was believed that there was a blood clot in his brain due to a blow he received on the head.
A statement released by Boxing South Africa reads,
“It is with great sadness for Boxing South Africa and the Buthelezi family to announce the passing away of Mr. Simiso Buthelezi who passed away last night, June 7, 2022 at hospital in Durban.
On June 5, 2022, Mr Buthelezi participated in a boxing tournament hosted by Starline Boxing Promotions at Greyville, Durban.
Towards the end of his bout, Mr Buthelezi collapsed and was taken to hospital and it was discovered at the hospital that he suffered a brain injury which resulted in internal bleeding.
At the hospital Mr. Buthelezi was given the best care possible but he however succumbed to the injury last night as aforesaid. Boxing South Africa will conduct an independent medical review of the injury and will then make public the results of that medical review.
The Buthelezi family and Boxing South Africa acknowledges warm words of condolences of the Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture. The Buthelezi family and Boxing South Africa will in due course make announcement on funeral arrangements.”

The Australian woman who has amassed millions of views on social media after she shared the heartbreaking experience revealed she went into a coma after a horrific accident she had last August.
She stated that she came to Canada to work in her dream job and that she had been in a wonderful relationship with her boyfriend for four years, even getting engaged.She did, however, suffer a horrible fall from a car park on August 29, 2021.
One of the walls was under construction, and Brie hadn’t seen the large drop to the concrete pavement beneath in the dark, as there were no signs or tape.
She fell headfirst over the edge and had to be airlifted to the University of Alberta Hospital where she was placed on life support in the ICU.
She had multiple fractured bones and a brain injury, and she spent four weeks in a coma. Meanwhile, doctors had told her mother that she had only a 10% chance of surviving the accident.
Fortunately, she began to show indications of healing and eventually awoke. Although she awoke with amnesia, she began to piece together the events of the evening.
When her phone was returned to her, she discovered that her fiancé, with whom she had been living, had allegedly blocked her on social media and had entirely abandoned her.
Brie also found a text from his new girlfriend, informing her that he had moved in with her and her son and that she should not contact him.
“I have not heard from him since I have been in the hospital. He’s completely and utterly left me in the dust. So I don’t even have closure as to why this happened.” She told the mirror
Brie, who suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) in the accident, was allowed to return to Australia five months later to be with her family.
Owo church massacre: Killers won’t escape judgement – Bishop David Oyedepo
Bishop David Oyedepo, the Head Pastor of the Living Faith Church, has declared that the attackers of the St. Francis Church in Owo, Ondo State, will face consequences for their crimes.
On Sunday, June 5, gunmen invaded the church during worship, killing several worshippers while scores were severely injured.
Reacting to the tragic incident during a sermon at the church’s headquarters, Ota in Ogun State on Wednesday, the clergyman expressed outrage at the level of insecurity ravaging the country.
He pronounced immediate judgment on the killers, declaring that they would perish alongside their sponsors.
“The devil is very scared of the church because that is where God empowers his people to rule in the midst of the enemies. That is why those vagabonds were out there in Ondo State to kill.
I can tell you this, if they escape death, God has not sent me. Their generation will smell, and the people who sent them will smell. They shall be forgotten. The back of their camel is already broken. Everybody living is created by God. All the gang-up from hell against the well-being of this nation has come under a curse. Curse be to all those causing attacks in this country.” He said.
Owo women gather to summon ‘Ogun’ (god of iron and war) to get justice for worshippers killed by gunmen in a Catholic church (video)
Some women in Owo community have gathered to summon the god of iron and war ‘Ogun’ to avenge the worshippers killed in a church in Ogun state.
It would be recalled that June 6 was a black Sunday for Nigerians after gunmen invaded a Catholic church in Owo, Ondo state, and shot sporadically at worshippers.
The State Government claim 22 persons were killed in the horrific attack while 52 survivors who were shot are currently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Center, Owo; St Louis Hospital, Owo; and the Owo General Hospital as well as some private hospitals.
However, the Bishop of Ondo Diocese, Jude Arogundade, insisted that over 38 worshippers were killed in the massacre.
Well, some aggrieved women in the community have decided to take matters into their own hands and called on “Ogun” to get justice for the victims.
In a video shared online, metals are seen on the floor while a woman poured dry gin on it and invited the god of iron to fight for them.
The other women shouted “Ase” in unison in response to the prayers.

Malawi Govt denies South African dancer Zodwa Wabantu entry into the country, says she “built her career and fame around morally degrading stage acts”
The Malawi government has ordered security agencies to stop controversial South African dancer, Zodwa Wabantu, from entering Malawi.
The dancer who is billed to perform at the amapiano festival in Blantyre, Malawi, set to take place on June 10 and 11, has been banned from entering the country.
The Malawi Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Wildlife had previously barred the stage artist from performing at the show; however, in response to the ban, Zodwa stated that she would travel to Malawi to participate in the event but would not perform.
In light of this, the ministry took a further step in making sure that Zodwa is stopped from entering Malawi by informing the Ministry of Homeland Security to enforce the relevant immigration laws.
In a letter dated June 6 and addressed to the Secretary for Homeland Security from the Secretary for Tourism, Culture and Wildlife, the Ministry made it clear that it has not cleared Zodwa Wabantu to perform in Malawi or be part of an event in any other capacity and that the application for the entertainment permit has been turned down as guided by the provisions of the Censorship and Control of Entertainment Act.
The letter read,
“The Censorship Board reviewed the application in the context of the concerns regarding her controversial stage acts, and most important Zodwa as a stage artist. In processing the application, the Censorship Board had to review the picture and the video clips that are in circulation depicting Zodwa on stage and the Ministry has noted that Zodwa has built her career and fame around morally degrading stage acts which include flaunting her nudity to audience.
“In view of the above, we are requesting your Ministry to enforce the relevant immigration laws so that the artist is prohibited from entering Malawi at the time the event is being hosted.”

Amotekun operatives intercept truck with ammunition hidden under grass in Ekiti (video)
Operatives of Ekiti State Amotekun Corps have arrested some men after they were caught transporting ammunition hidden under grass sheets in two trucks.
Video shared online shows a Amotekun officer searching the truck laden with grass sheets only to discover weapons and ammunition hidden behind the sheets.
The suspects are seen lying facedown in the middle of the road after they were apprehended.
They were intercepted in Ikere Ekiti, Ekiti state.

In other news, the men of the Amotekun Corps in Ondo state have arrested 19 suspected criminals in the state.
Among the suspects are 12-year-old Timilehin, alias Anini; Sunday, 16, aka Oyenusi; and Odeyemi Ayodele, 20, aka Osumbo.
The young robbers adopted the names of hardened criminals killed by firing squad during the military era, Anini, Oyenusi, and Osumbo.
Parading the suspects on Thursday, April 14, at the command headquarters in Akure, the state capital, the commander of the corps, Adetunji Adeyeye, said the three boys specialised in armed robbery.
He added that, apart from the trio, 16 other suspects were apprehended for various criminal activities such as kidnapping, rape, stealing, and open grazing, among others.
“One of the three juveniles (Oyenusi) was arrested last year, taken to a rehabilitation center and was later released because of his age. His mother was arrested too because ‘Oyenusi’ confessed to us that his mother was the one preparing charms for him to prevent his downfall and arrest by security agents and his mother has been a beneficiary of the crime proceeds.
“This time around, we will write to the state Ministry of Justice for possible advice on what to do about them. But for their mothers, who have been aiding them, they will be charged to court.” Adeyeye said.
Adeyeye added that the suspects had confessed to the crime and would be charged in court.
MC Oluomo, others dance ecstatically as Tinubu wins APC Presidential primary (Video)
A viral video has shown former NURTW chieftain MC Oluomo and his supporters rejoicing as presidential hopeful, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, defeated other aspirants and emerged as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 presidential election.
The former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu, was announced the winner of the All Progressives Congress, APC, primary elections that were held at the Eagle Square in Abuja on Wednesday, June 8.
About 2,322 delegates of the party voted to elect the flagbearer of the party ahead of the 2023 general elections, and Tinubu emerged as the winner with a total of 1,299 votes.
However, shortly before the final results were announced, a video showing Olumomo and his supporters dancing ecstatically as Tinubu took an early lead in the presidential primary was shared online.
Pleased with the results of the election, Oluomo displayed stallon dance moves as he showed his excitement.

In other news, a rather interesting drama ensued between Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Yemi Osinbajo at the APC Presidential primary in Abuja today, June 8.
Tinubu left his seat to greet President Muhammadu Buhari who had just arrived the Eagle Square to witness the vote collation of aspirants.
However, he passed Osinbajo who was seated inches away from the president and greeted him, his wife, and other party members, but completely ignored the Vice President who also stood up to greet him.

Prostitutes in Zimbabwe now using bread packets as condom prices rises; also accepting vegetables, tomato, maize or beans as payment
Reports have it that some sex workers in Zimbabwe are now using bread packets as contraception following the increase in price of condoms and basic essentials.
According to a 21-year-old call girl from Mutare who disclosed that she started sex work at 16, they have resorted to using bread packaging as a substitute for condoms when they face shortages.
A medical practitioner, Dr Tendai Zuze, also confirmed the report in an interview with Manica Post.
He said it’s very risky because bread packets are not strong enough to withstand friction during sex, and can easily break and expose the user to sexually transmitted diseases or pregnancy.
Another local news outlet, iHarare, also reported that some sex workers are now accepting buckets of maize and cups of beans as payment from clients.
One sex worker who simply identified herself as Alice said,
“Gone are the days when we used to charge US$5 for the whole night. These days even one dollar is accepted, so that you are able to buy vegetables and tomatoes and cook something for your starving children.”
She said she has three children – one in Form 4, another in Grade 7 and the last in Grade 1 – and needs money to cater for them.
“I now even accept a bucket of maize or cups of dried beans as payment for sex services. At least I am assured that my kids will have porridge,” she added.
Sex workers at Dema have now appealed to the government and other organizations for low-interest loans to start businesses to provide for their families.

Veteran Nigerian singer, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has said he will leave Nigeria for Ghana if Tinubu or Atiku Abubakar wins the 2023 Presidential election.
The self-styled number one Area father stated this on Twitter after the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was announced as the winner of the APC Presidential Primaries.
While a couple of aspirants bowed out and stepped down for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos state amassed half of the total votes to beat his major opponents, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi.
Tinubu got a total of 1,299 votes while his major opponents, Amaechi and Osinbajo, got 316 and 235 votes respectively, making him the flagbearer.
Meanwhile, former vice president, Atiku Abubukar is also vying for presidency on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

A while ago, Boma Akpore stated that Nigerians owe him an apology for falsely accusing him.
This comes after Tega, his in-house lover, confessed that her marriage ended in 2020, before she took part in the Big Brother Naija reality show.
Recall that Nigerians on social media chastised Boma for his amorous relationship with fellow housemate Tega, who claimed to be married on the show.
However, in a question and answer session with her fans on Friday, March 25, the mother of one revealed her marriage to her husband, Ajeboh Lawrence, ended two years ago.
She added that claiming she was married on the show was a move that went wrong.
“Lol, no I am not, ended since 2020. All you know was a move that went wrong. Actually, it ended in 2020. Now y’all can get off my back.” She wrote.
In an apparent reaction to the revelation, Boma noted that everyone who lambasted him for being intimate with another man’s wife should tender their apologies.

First monkeypox patient to go public is a gay man from London who had 10 partners in two weeks and was deported from Dubai for testing positive to HIV
The first person to go public with having monkey pox is a 35-year-old British man identified as James M.
The HR manager who withheld his surname, said he caught the virus after he was deported from Dubai for testing positive for HIV.
James, who is gay, said he initially thought he had a sexually transmitted infection as he had slept with around 10 partners before developing symptoms.
“I’m a gay man, and having just come back to the UK, I was having a good time,” he told MailOnline.
However, when he visited a local clinic in West London, he was referred to a specialist centre in Soho and was told to avoid public transport or close contact with others.
He said,
When I got to the clinic I was told to go and wait outside the main door and call them, they said they were going to put on PPE and they told me not to touch door handles.
‘The whole experience kind of heightens your sense of, “oh this must be really serious”. I remember going to Covid centres and it wasn’t as daunting or overwhelming as this.”
After the test, the medics told him to go home and wait for the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) to contact him.
However, James said no one has contacted him till date and slammed the UKHSA for not being proactive in their attempt to stop the virus which is spreading fast in the UK.
He also accused the UK of a lack of awareness about monkeypox’s lesser-known symptoms, and says the careless attitude of the UK is responsible for the country having more cases than African countries.
“It’s no wonder now we’re getting so many more infections if no contact tracing or awareness about you not needing the spots to have the virus being told to people.
No-one’s asked me who I’ve been in contact with. I was told that within 24 hours of my diagnosis someone from UKHSA would call me.
I’ve called the clinic every day, asking “why aren’t they calling me, I’m not allowed outside and not allowed to go work. The UKHSA is not calling me, someone needs to document this,” he added.
James says he doesn’t know he caught the virus but suspects that he got it from one of his partners who had a spot on his chest.
As at the time of filing this report, the UK has logged 302 monkey pox cases – the highest number in Europe, followed by Spain (190), Portugal (143), Canada (80) and Germany (66).
