Crossdresser, James Brown, has taken to social media to show off the bouquet of flowers he received from a male admirer.

In the video he shared on his official Instagram page, the drag queen who couldn’t hide his excitement about the gift beamed with smile.

According to him, he recently met the guy and he asked him out, but he never took him seriously until he received the flowers, which came with a romantic note.

A while ago, James Brown recounted how a male inmate fell in love with him while he was in prison some years back.

Opening up on his experience in Ikoyi Prison, James claimed one of the guys in the cell with him fell head over heels for him by the third day.

“I went to prison for two months. They put me in a prison for only guys and it was pretty intense. When I got there, they gave me welcome beating. They beat me till my wrist started shifting. And funny enough on the second or third day, a guy fell in love with me. I am still in contact with him in a way but I don’t have plans of going back there. Holy ghost fire.” He said.

Noting that he has no gender preference when it comes to dating, he urged men and women who are interested in him to shoot their shots.

Filmmaker and Pastor Laju Iren, warns Nigerians against catching cruise with “Mummy GO”

Nigerian filmmaker and pastor, Laju Iren, has warned Nigerians, especially those on social media, against using the name “Mummy G.O” to catch cruise online.

Educating people on how the term came to be, she issues a caution against the comical use of the term, given the recent viral memes instigated by evangelist Olufunmilayo Adebayo who is popularly referred to as Mummy GO herself.

On her page, Laju shares the photo of the wife of RCCG senior pastor, EA Adeboye’s wife, Foluke Adeboye, stating she is the actual Mummy GO.

She wrote,

Woke up feeling strongly impressed to remind us that this is the actual Mummy G.O. Our generation has the tendency to be mesmerized by what is new and entertaining even when it’s wrong, untrue and misleading. May a true legacy not be tainted by the words of another who doesn’t speak the truth of God’s word. If you’re a believer, please remember that our goal is to make viral the actual message of the gospel, that Jesus died, was buried and rose again according to the scriptures and that by faith in his name, we have eternal life. Let no memes, jokes or videos with no basis in the word of God tame that. Happy Sunday.

Edit: Some people keep asking me if it means that no one else should be called Mummy G.O. That’s obviously not what I’m saying. But this is a phrase that was developed in the church given specifically to the Wife of the General Overseer of one of the largest churches in Nigeria. Many other churches have adopted this for their pastor’s wife and rightly so. But as the body of Christ we won’t let the legacy of this great woman of God or a phrase that is supposed to invoke honour to be used for someone who is preaching a different gospel of false doctrine.

Horrifying moment an 18-year-old mum tosses her newborn baby into dustbin (WATCH)

A surveillance video captured the moment a teenage mother, Alexis Avila tossed a black trash bag containing her new born baby into a dustbin in Hobbs, New Mexico, US.

The shocking incident occurred around 2:00pm on January 7th but gracefully the baby was discovered alive and crying in garbage bag six hours later after some good Samaritans rescued it.

Quite incredibly, the newborn is now in a stable condition in the hospital. Police have charged Alexis Avila, 18 from Hobbs with attempted murder and felony child abuse for the abandonment. Police officers reveal that she has confessed to the crime.

The footage shows a woman, Alexis driving into the parking lot in a white sedan and put a black garbage bag containing her newborn in it before driving off and abandoning the baby.

More footage show the moment the child was rescued after people apparently heard the newborn’s cries.

EFCC re-arrests Mompha for ‘money laundering’

Popular Nigerian businessman, Ismailia Mustapha, otherwise known as Mompha has been arrested by Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Lagos state command, for allegedly laundering funds obtained through unlawful activities and retention of alleged proceeds of crime.

Mompha, who was arrested on Monday January 10, is currently standing trial alongside his company, Ismalob Global Investment Limited, on an amended 22-count charge bordering on cyber fraud and money laundering to the tune of N32.9 billion brought against him by the EFCC.

EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, who confirmed his arrest to the press in a statement, titled, ‘EFCC re-arrests Mompha for alleged money laundering.’ said Mompha will be charged to court soon.

The statement reads

”The account of one of his companies, Ismalob Global Investment Limited Bank, a Bureau de Change company, domiciled in Zenith Bank Plc, was allegedly used to launder funds derived from unlawful activities.

“Investigation has revealed a fraudulent transfer slip of $92, 412, 75 found in the suspect’s iPhone 8 device. He will soon be charged to court.”

Ghanaian actor cum evangelist, Majid Michel, has revealed he experimented with drugs and engaged in street fights before he became born again.

Majid Michel, who made this disclosure in an interview on Joy FM while speaking about his life before he met Jesus, stated that he consumed narcotics until he became born-again.

According to him, although he knew God, there were times he did not understand the sermons and the teachings he heard from the pastors.

“I used to go out to drink, go and booze, we go and smoke, get into fights on the streets. So I did some drugs; we tried something to see how it goes. We get into fights at Members next to Glenz at Osu.” He said.

The actor also noted that despite being an evangelist he does not like going to church.

In his words,

“I’ve never enjoyed going to church. I don’t go to church because I despise getting out of bed in the morning. My siblings have teased me about it since I was a child. [While] in church, I said to my mother, ‘Mum, I want to eat bread and eggs.’ It’s too early for me, and I’ve never enjoyed church in my life, and I still don’t. My problem was that I never understood what they were teaching, and this was the source of my hunger as I grew older.”

Speaking further, Majid Michel urged youths to be careful of people they associate with as they could influence them negatively.

“Friends are critical. Be careful in choosing them because those you associate with play a role in how your life turns out. if you are listening to me out there and you are a young guy be careful who you associate with as it has a serious consequence on your future”. He added.

According to the lawyer and author, some people would gladly accept money to betray their colleagues so it’s better to focus squarely on work, instead of making friends.

A young man’s unexcited reaction to the romantic birthday surprise his girlfriend organized for him has stirred mixed reactions from netizens.

The young lady went all out to make her lover feel loved and special on his birthday but the way he reacted got people talking.

The thoughtful lady hired a trumpeter, bought her man loads of gifts and carefully arranged them on a table in their sitting room.

A video she shared on social media which captured the moment the young man walked into the room showed him looking unexcited and seemingly unhappy.

Two siblings crushed to death by reckless driver in Ogun (video)

A 15-year-old girl, Olamide, and her 11-year-old brother, Damilola, have died after they were allegedly crushed to death by a reckless driver in Ogun state.

According to their uncle, Yomi Opayemi, who took to Facebook to demand justice for the deaths of his niece and nephew, the unfortunate incident happened on Friday, January 7th in the Ilisan-Remo area of Ogun state.

He revealed that the erring driver, Moshudi Badmus Al-hassan, was leaving the police station with his car that was earlier ceased for reckless driving when he rammed into the two children.

Speaking further, Opayemi claimed the driver killed a third person, and the deceased’s older sibling narrowly escaped being crushed by him.

A video making the rounds online has captured a group of strippers praying to God to bless the work of their hands as they step out to work.

In the viral video which has stirred reactions on social media the ladies are seen holding hands and praying to God to drive up patronage for the day, before starting the day’s business.

In their prayer points, the lady who led her colleagues in prayer asked that God softens the hearts of men to spray them their salaries and hard earned money.

She also noted that their prayers would be answered because their hearts are clean, as God doesn’t judge based on dressing or appearance.

Princess Dorathy Osaronu, daughter of the King of Onne in Eleme, Rivers State, has seemingly thrown a shade at reality show star, Ifu Ennada.

This comes after the Big Brother Naija star and entrepreneur said people shouldn’t get married and have children if they are broke. Read here.

In what seems like a reaction to Ifu’s post, the monarch’s daughter took to Facebook to state that those saying people shouldn’t have children if they are broke wouldn’t have been born if their parents did same.

According to the differently-abled lady, she would rather advise people to limit the number of children they have.

Dorathy wrote,

“Some of you motivational speakers saying don’t have children if you are broke would not have been born if your parents did same.

How many of your fathers had money in their days? Some of u are from the poorest background and today have made it.

A child is a gift from God, It is Children that change the narrative of their family sef.

I would never advice anyone not to have children no matter their financial state, no be all poor men children Dey turn criminal, some poor men children today have elevated their Generation.

I can only say limit the number of kids you have but to say don’t have kids because you are broke I won’t support that.”

Nigerian journalist, Agba Jalingo, has revealed the response he allegedly received from a lady he secured a N35k/month job for.

The publisher of Cross River Watch took to Facebook to share this on Saturday, January 8th.

According to him, the lady told him not to worry because she can make that amount in two days and still wine and dine in an air-conditioned locations.

He wrote,

“I got a 35k a month job for a lady who has been saying she needs a job and she told me boldly not to worry. That she can get that money in one or two days and still eat pepper soup, drink wine and sleep inside AC”.

In other news, a former medical student who became a truck pusher has reportedly castrated himself in a bid to “serve God better”.

Terhemen Anongo, who is a 44-year-old resident of Gboko in Benue State removed one of the testicles himself in 2021 and almost lost his life in the process.

The gentleman made headlines in March of 2021 after he personally undertook the surgery, which resulted in lots of bleeding.

Terhemen was however given a second chance at life after being taken for medical attention by those around him.

The man who reportedly dropped out University of Ibadan medical school over alleged ill health, told pressmen that hiscastration was based on his religious belief that since he was not married, he needed to serve God faithfully.

He told newsmen on Sunday, January 9th,

“I went to remove the second testicle based on religious belief. I removed it on Monday. The first one had little hitches but this one having learnt from that experience, I did (remove) it very well. Somebody is always coming to dress it for me.

“I’m fine. There is no problem, I’m only waiting for when the wound will heal so I can remove the stitches.”

Popular Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo, has taken to social media to give an important advice to people who are just starting their careers.

He urged beginners to give themselves time to grow while reiterating that nobody was really good at the beginning.

According to him, most people learn on the job, and it’s normal to make mistakes and flunk on the first try, but it will only get better with time and consistency.

In his words,

“Just so you know, nobody started really really good. We learnt on the job .Your beginnings shouldn’t be compared to someone’s 10 years of experience. That’s so unfair to what you are building. Give yourself time to grow.

“The truth is that, you are going to mess up a lot at the beginning. Flunk at your first try. Your first work will look like nothing you have in mind. That’s ok.

“We all didn’t get it right at first, it is possible the people you admire now were worse than you at the beginning. That part wasn’t just shown to you. So it’s ok if you are struggling at first, it’s part of the process. Nobody was really good at the beginning.”
