Popular Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo, has taken to social media to give an important advice to people who are just starting their careers.
He urged beginners to give themselves time to grow while reiterating that nobody was really good at the beginning.
According to him, most people learn on the job, and it’s normal to make mistakes and flunk on the first try, but it will only get better with time and consistency.
In his words,
“Just so you know, nobody started really really good. We learnt on the job .Your beginnings shouldn’t be compared to someone’s 10 years of experience. That’s so unfair to what you are building. Give yourself time to grow.
“The truth is that, you are going to mess up a lot at the beginning. Flunk at your first try. Your first work will look like nothing you have in mind. That’s ok.
“We all didn’t get it right at first, it is possible the people you admire now were worse than you at the beginning. That part wasn’t just shown to you. So it’s ok if you are struggling at first, it’s part of the process. Nobody was really good at the beginning.”

The videos documented how she changed the woman’s clothing and appearance, took her to a hospital for medical checkup and got her a fully furnished apartment.
The TikTok user identified as @Nabih97 on the platform, has received praises from netizens for being selfless and liberal.

Papaya threw a grand party to celebrate turning a new age and invited some Nigerian celebrities including James Brown to come celebrate with her.
Interestingly, the controversial transvestite who donned an oxblood ball gown with gloves, showed up at the party with two “traditionalists”.

Young Ahmed has cried out for help after he claimed Nigerian superstar singer Wizkid, who promised him a record deal and N10 million in 2017, didn’t fulfill his promise to him.
It can be recalled that on 2017 Christmas Eve, Wizkid, during his homecoming concert, wowed his audience when he brought out 12-year-old Ahmed from the crowd to rap.
Following Ahmed’s mind blowing performance the Grammy award winner reportedly blessed him with 10million naira and a record deal.
However, in a recent development, the young boy in a video serving rounds online begged Nigerians to help him, while alleging that Wizkid didn’t fulfill his promise to him.
According to Ahmed, he now sings for people on the street to make ends meet.
“If Wizkid really gave me N10 million my life wouldn’t still be like this, I would not be going around begging for money on the streets, Please Nigerians help me beg Wizkid to come and help me.” He said.

A 32-year-old graphics designer, Nonts Kongchaw, and his partner have caused a stir after they shared photos from their funeral-themed prewedding shoot online.
In the photos the young couple posed in coffins and various scenes in a graveyard. One of the images also showed them leaning against a column tombstone behind a sign that reads, “Marry Me.”
Another photo shows the couple laying down inside a coffin while the bride who donned a long white wedding dress draws a silk covering over the groom who is clutching a bouquet.
The photos stirred tons of reactions from social media users and has been shared over ten thousand times on Facebook.
Reacting to the photos, netizens opine that the concept might have spiritual implications and can probably lead to a curse being placed upon their marital bond.
“Seriously… Things like this have a curse.. If you know how to do it, you have to know how to fix it. Playing with invisible things like this.. It’s not a toy and it’s not a joke .. Otherwise, disaster occurs..”, a Facebook user wrote.

Sensational Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, has recounted an unpleasant experience she had at a beach in Lagos.
The 41-year-old singer, who performed at an event on the beach on Sunday, January 9th, shared this experience on her Instagram story.
According to Tiwa, on that fateful day, she ‘mistakenly’ went to the beach without security escorts and took small amount of money along.
The mum-of-one said she was almost slapped by people presumed to be thugs at the beach.

A Nigerian writer on Twitter took to the microblogging platform to recount the experience she had when she visited the church of viral Nigerian female evangelist, Olufunmilayo Adebayo popularly known as Mummy GO.
The lady Simi, with handle @burnt__dodo on Twitter, shared in details how the urge to “catch cruise” took her all the way to the church of the viral evangelist in Lagos, just so she could hear her teachings live.
While her visit didn’t live up to her expectations, she however had an interesting experience when she got to the church, with the name, Rapture Proclaimer Evangelical Church of God. In a series of tweets, she highlights interesting moments of her visit; how she had to take off her jewelries before entering the church, switch off her phone during the service among others.
She then revealed that in course of the service, she got to discover that Mummy GO wouldn’t be able to preach in her own church at the time because she had been receiving death threats.. which was rather disappointing.
She wrote in part,

Unfortunately, he learned from a mutual friend that the lady had been murdered and her body parts removed by her boyfriend, who wanted to use her for ritual.

Former medical student turned truck pusher castrates himself to “serve God better”
A former medical student who became a truck pusher has reportedly castrated himself in a bid to “serve God better”.
Terhemen Anongo, who is a 44-year-old resident of Gboko in Benue State removed one of the testicles himself in 2021 and almost lost his life in the process.
The gentleman made headlines in March of 2021 after he personally undertook the surgery, which resulted in lots of bleeding.
Terhemen was however given a second chance at life after being taken for medical attention by those around him.
The man who reportedly dropped out University of Ibadan medical school over alleged ill health, told pressmen that hiscastration was based on his religious belief that since he was not married, he needed to serve God faithfully.
He told newsmen on Sunday, January 9th,
“I went to remove the second testicle based on religious belief. I removed it on Monday. The first one had little hitches but this one having learnt from that experience, I did (remove) it very well. Somebody is always coming to dress it for me.
“I’m fine. There is no problem, I’m only waiting for when the wound will heal so I can remove the stitches.”

According to Evangelist Olufunmilayo Adebayo who is popularly referred to as Mummy GO on social media, the videos of her making controversial statements during her teachings, are edited videos and unreal.
She recently sat with BBC News Pidgin where she spoke about the controversy surrounding her, her mandate and all. According to her, most of the videos of her saying ridiculous things were edited from time to time.
