Woman falls 100 feet to her death after posing for selfie on a cliff
A Belgian woman, Zoe Snoeks, has fallen 100 feet to her death after posing for a selfie on the edge of a cliff during a road trip with her husband.
In the incident that occurred on Tuesday, Nov. 2, the 33-year-old woman slipped off the cliff near Nadrin village in the province of Luxembourg and landed in the Ourthe River, Newsflash reported.
Her body was later recovered by a rescue team that included firefighters, scuba divers and members of the Groupe de Recherche et d’Intervention en Milieu Perilleux, or Perilous Environment Reconnaissance and Intervention Group.
The deceased’s husband of nine years, Joeri Janssen said they went to the scenic location on Sunday, October 31, in their camper van.
“Since the pandemic, it was our little thing to drive across Europe in our van and take beautiful photos,” he said.
According to him, they always travelled with their dogs Joy and Ivy and had planned to return to their home in Limburg on the day of the incident.
Speaking with Newsflash, he said, “We got up very early to take pictures of the Herou. There is almost always mist there. It’s great for photos. We arrived before 9 a.m.”
He said his wife took pictures on the edge of the cliff when “she told me to look out for the dogs.”
He continued: “I turned to the dogs and told them to wait. When I turned back to Zoe, she was no longer there. She had just vanished. It must have happened in less than five seconds.
“I didn’t see or hear anything. No rustling, no screams or shouts. I looked up and saw only dust.
“I called her even though I knew it was hopeless. The chasm was several tens of meters deep.
“I immediately called the emergency services, but had almost no network. They didn’t understand me, even though I speak a little French.”
He said he then rushed to a nearby hotel to get help.
“The rescue team could not find Zoe immediately, they said in French. Then they told me that unfortunately Zoe was dead, also in French, but I immediately understood what they meant.
“Taking photos was her passion. I immediately unlocked her phone and saw that she had taken a photo on the cliff edge. Her very last selfie.
“Zoe is looking straight ahead. You can also see the mist and the river where they finally found her body.”

Nigerian comedian, Ayo Ajewole popularly known as Woli Agba, has reacted after being dragged for paying a courtesy visit to Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo.
The ‘prophet’, alongside other comedians including Taooma and Josh2funny, went to the Presidential villa on Thursday, November 4, under the aegis of the Nigeria Skits Industry Awards (NSIA).
After the visit, Woli Agba took to his Instagram page to share photos from the visit, but the post was not well received by his followers and some threatened to ‘cancel’ him.
Reacting to the heavy backlash, Woli Agba fired back at Nigerians and questioned their method of reasoning.
According to him, this experience has opened his eyes to one of the problems Nigeria is currently facing. He also insinuated that netizens have been reading ‘lies’ on social media.
He wrote:
“Na ordinary picture una see and you guys had all of these conclusions. Ask whoever cooked the story evidence of his or her presence at the meeting now? Which way Nigerians? Ask now? The reality star in a post she shared on her Insta-stories noted that has learnt to stop ‘overdoing’ good, but instead reciprocate whatever energy she receives from people.
According to her, the world is so full of evil that people naturally starts suspecting people that do good, thinking they have an ulterior motive.

Reality star, Yousef pens emotional tribute to his late brother
Big Brother Naija star, Yusuf Garba better known as Yousef, has penned an emotional tribute to his elder brother who died days ago.
Recall that Yousef announced he lost his elder brother to the cold hands of death on Tuesday, October 26th and revealed he would be taking some time off social media to mourn his brother’s demise.
The reality star in the emotional note posted on his Instagram page, described his deceased brother, Jamal as his first guardian, extremely generous and humble.
He wrote,

Controversial Nigerian sex therapist, Jaruma is not done proving how actress, Regina Daniels violated their N10M contract as she has released an old voice note to give more evidence about the breach.
She makes a video of a WhatsApp conversation she had in May of 2021 where she’s heard complaining bitterly about Daniels’ refusal to post her products and videos on her page after being the large sum of money.
According to the sex therapist, she started laying complaints from November 2020 up till June of 2021.

”I woke up pregnant like the Virgin Mary” – American singer, Amara La Negra announces she’s pregnant with twins
Popular American singer, actress and dancer, Amara La Negra has revealed that she is pregnant and expecting twins.
The expectant mother shared a photo of herself holding the pregnancy test along with the ultrasound described the pregnancy as a blessing, while disclosing that she’s scared and nervous because she had a miscarriage in July.
However, in an interview with PEOPLE, La Negra said she noticed something different in August while filming the VH1 show.
“I felt so nauseous that I thought the food was making me sick,” she said, adding she didn’t panic but chose to follow a hunch. “My woman’s intuition told me: ‘Do a pregnancy test’. I did the test, and it came back positive.
“I was nervous. The first thing I thought about was in my work and my projects, having to tell my mom: ‘My life is going to change!” She said.
According to her, she traveled to the Dominican Republic to oversee real estate investments and to visit a gynecologist.
“I had only done a urine [home pregnancy] test. When the [nurse] does the sonogram, she says: ‘Wow, there are two gestational sacs.’ I was happy, surprised, but I couldn’t process what she was telling me.”
“In my case, I woke up pregnant like the Virgin Mary. I woke up pregnant and that’s all I remember. I will be a single mother. I know my babies will depend on me.” She added.
Police officer stabs his colleague to death over a ‘minor misunderstanding’ in Bayelsa
A police officer has allegedly stabbed his colleague, Sergeant Yerin Sapele, to death over a minor misunderstanding in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state.
According to reports, the officers who were good friends were at a wedding reception on Thursday, November 4, when an argument ensued between them over an undisclosed issue.
“We tried to separate them during the argument, to prevent them from fighting, but they refused. I and my friends took the deceased in our car to his house just to stop them from fighting. We were called less than 30 minutes after dropping him off that he has been stabbed to death,” a source said.
It was gathered that the deceased was rushed to the hospital but was confirmed dead on arrival. His corpse was thereafter deposited in a morgue in the state.
Confirming the incident, a media aide to Bayelsa state Governor, Bodmas Kemepadei, said they clashed over a minor misunderstanding.
“Two friends, they are both police officers, they eat, play and work together, they are Ijaws, from the same area,”
“But yesterday, owing to a minor misunderstanding they had at a wedding, one (the accused in the photo) reportedly stabbed the other (victim in the photo) to death.
“Very sad story. Who now caters for the kids of the deceased, his young wife is now a widow Let’s stop killing breadwinner’s, let’s stop killing ourselves” , he wrote.

Nigerian television presenter, Stephanie Coker has stated that more value needs to be placed on people’s lives in Nigeria.
The media personality stated this in a post via her Insta-stories in reaction to the 21-storey building that collapsed in Ikoyi on Monday, November 1st.
Stephanie who took to social media to lament, noted that people are living haphazardly in Nigeria and constantly subjected to emotional trauma.
According to her, citizens are now desensitized to some of the most horrific accidents, seeing it as normal.

“We are living haphazardly in Nigeria and subjected to so much emotional trauma. We have to pray about everything because bare minimum standards are nonexistence in most sectors in Nigeria. Suspected killer of Iniubong Umoren, Uduak Akpan, makes a U-turn, pleads not guilty
Uduak Akpan, the suspected killer of 20-year-old undergraduate, Iniubong Umoren, has made a u-turn on his earlier confession as he pleads not guilty to the two-count charge of murder and rape levied against him.
It can be recalled that in May of 2021, Akpan while speaking to newsmen, confessed to luring, killing and burying the deceased in a shallow grave in Akwa Ibom state. He was subsequently arrested and reportedly taken into police custody.
The suspect appeared in court on Thursday, November 4, and changed his plea to “not guilty” after the prosecuting witnesses, Chairman of Uruan Local Government of the state, Surveyor Iniobong Ekpeyong and his cousin, Kufre Effiong, gave evidence in court.
Uduak’s father and second accused person, Frank Akpan, and his sister and third accused, Bassey Anwan Akpan, have also pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of sheltering Uduak despite knowing he murdered Iniubong Umoren.
Meanwhile, the case has been adjourned to Monday, November 15, 2021, and the presiding judge, Justice Bassey Nkanang, promised to accelerate the court hearing with a view to pass judgement before Easter, 2022.

The man said he was in the building on that fateful day to interview for a role with the developer of the building, Femi Osibona.
He however claimed that Mr Femi who was one of the casualties in the unfortunate incident rejected him for being a Muslim.
According to him, Mr Femi said he can’t work with a Muslim and made jokes about it in the presence of his colleagues and other workers.
He said he was downtrodden after the interview and was on his way home when his friend called him to inquire about where he was and relayed the information about the building collapse to him.

Woman sent out of a restaurant in Abuja for wearing hijab
A woman, identified as Azeezat Yishawu, has called out a restaurant in Gwarimpa, Abuja, for sending her out because she was wearing hijab.
She took to Twitter to narrate the incident that occured on Thursday, November 4.
According to her, the security personnel said she should leave because they serve alcoholic beverage in the cafe and alcohol is prohibited in Islam.
However, the person who had invited her to the cafe said she was sent out because her outfit was making the other customers uncomfortable due to the fact that there was a recent communal clash with shite in the community.
Her words,
“Good evening twitter fam. I was asked to leave a restaurant @CrushCafe_Abj at Gwarinpa because of the way I dressed. The security person in grey top and black trousers. Had searched my bag earlier before I went in.
I had used the rest home soon after I went in, sat down ordered for mock tail and waited to my acquaintance who had suggested the place. A few minutes after, the same young man who had searched my bag. Approached me to tell I wasn’t allowed sit.
He said People who dressed the way I do weren’t allowed here. I asked if this was a club and he said no! That because they sell alcohol. I do not understand this. One bit.
I was later informed by the person who had invited me, that my dressing was offending some of the customers. He said that there was a recent communal clash with shite in the community and my dressing was representative of that. I felt very embarrassed and confused.
I could have been asked to sit somewhere else, and told what the problem was, rather than saying my dressing was not welcomed. I had to take my things and wait on the road side for my acquaintance to come get me.”
The lady said the CEO of the restaurant, who is a Muslim, has reached out to her to apologize for the way she was treated in his cafe.
The CEO has also tendered an apology on social media, noting that the staff responsible for the mistreatment would be dealt with.
Man crushed to death while attempting to ‘collect’ money from truck driver in Kwara
A young man identified as Usman Salakani, has lost his life after he was crushed by a heavy-duty truck in Ilorin, Kwara state.
It was alleged that the deceased was attempting to collect money from the truck driver, when his foot accidentally slipped off from the truck tyres causing him to fall and crushed to death.
Spokesperson of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kwara Command, Babawale Afolabi, who confirmed the incident, revealed that the unfortunate incident happened on Thursday morning at the popular Post Office roundabout in the state.
“The incident occurred at around 1015 hours on Thursday when the victim was trying to collect money from the truck’s driver when his foot slipped off and was subsequently fell down by the truck tyres and crushed to death by the rear tyre of the truck”. He said.
A newspaper vendor at the Post Office junction, Mr Yusuf Idris, who was present at the accident scene said, the victim had been discussing politics with him prior to the accident.
“The deceased ran after a moving trailer but, unfortunately, his hands slipped and fell under the truck tyres,” the vendor said.
TV presenter apologizes after being called out over a comment she claimed BBNaija’s Queen made about Whitemoney
A TV Presenter, Kachi Offiah, has apologized after being called out over an erroneous comment she claimed former BBNaija housemate, Queen, said about her co-reality star, Whitemoney.
During an interview with Whitemoney after he won the show, Kachi had said Queen referred to him as ‘Daddy’ and said she was very happy about him winning the show because he would share the prize money with her.
However, Whitemoney found it hard to believe that Queen would say such a thing and stated that it was most likely Nini that made the statement.
Reacting to the interview, Queen took to her Instastory to reprimand the TV presenter, saying she does not like people lying against her or trying to pin things on her.
The Akwa-born beauty queen also claimed she was dragged and called names by netizens over the false comment.

Nollywood actress and film maker, Uche Elendu has raised an alarm to the public after a stranger claimed to be the mother of her child, Osinachi on social media.
A Facebook user identified as Dan Ni Ella, had shared photos of the actress’ daughter on a public group on the platform, alleging that she’s her mother and it’s her birthday.
A concerned fan who saw the post alerted the actress about it. In reaction, Uche Elendu immediately took to her page to address the issue.
The mother of two who expressed shock over the incident, appealed to fans to report the page before they scam people using her daughter’s photos.

Majority of the guests in attendace were spotted clad in numbered outfits and were challenged to some games that were played in the TV series.
Dorathy, who clearly had loads of fun on her special day is seen dancing and partying hard with her guests which included former BBNaija housemates, comedians, and many others.
Guests like, WhiteMoney, Alex Unusual, Mercy Eke were part of those in attendace for the birthday party.
