Nigerian music artist manager, Ubi Franklin has taken to social media to educate Nigerians on Father’s Day and how it should be celebrated.
According to the popular music executive, the day is set aside to celebrate fathers and not a day for women to drag or insult their ex-husbands or baby daddies.
Speaking further, the father of four with four baby mamas revealed he’s at peace with all the mothers of his kids except for one who keeps dragging him.
In his words,
“Father’s day is not for women to be abusing their ex-husbands or Baby daddies. If you cannot wish him happy father’s day, just let the day pass in peace. I’m at peace with all the mothers of my kids except one, she drags me at will, lol.
But life is beautiful I believe time will only reveal and heal. Constantly calling our ex’s out on social media defeats the learning curve experience. Do have a great day”.
Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus has taken to social media to raise alarm after receiving multiple death threats from an Instagram follower.
According to her, she has received several messages from the anonymous follower so she decided to call him out on social media.
She shared screenshots of the troll’s messages and appealed to members of the public to come to her aid.
The troll threatened to shoot her dead when they meet in real life. He also used cursive and demeaning words on the 43-year-old actress.
Sharing the screenshots, Eniola Badmus wrote,

Popular Nigerian comedy group, Mark Angel Comedy drops a brand new comedy from the “Caretaker Series”, and they tagged this one “Twitter Ban”.
Baze 10 is greatly disappointed by his own personal lawyer (The law) who happens to fall for the new Caretaker’s sweet words after winning the caretaker election. Baze 10’s former lawyer was appointed as Mr Azu’s lawyer.
Mr. Azu called for a quick meeting to appoint new people into his cabinet where Nwanyiocha, Mimi and Baze10 are among.

Popular Nigerian singer, Esegine Allen otherwise known as Orezi, has shared a video of his mum fervently praying for him to marry this year.
Apparently the single status of the 35-year-old singer has got his mum worried and she decided to take her worries to God in prayer.
The video which was recorded during the family morning devotion, the concerned mum is seen passionately praying about her son’s relationship status.
Orezi’s mum prayed for him to get married before the end of the year, 2021 to a wife who will build his life.
Sharing the video on his Insta-stories, the Delta-state born musical artiste wrote, “Prayer Topic, Orezi must marry this year… My mother praying for a good wife for me Amen ooo.”
Recall that in an interview with Sunday Scoop a few years back, Orezi claimed he was single and abstaining from sex and doesn’t even plan to do so anytime soon.

Nigeria’s Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Farouq, has said the Federal Government spent over $5bn since 2016 to fight poverty in the country.
Sadiya Farouq said this during the presentation of letters of engagement and electronic tablets to 248 monitors of the National Social Investment Programme NSIP programme in Adamawa state over the weekend.
The Minister who was represented at the event by the National Coordinator of NSIP, Dr Umar Bindir, said President Buhari has since 2016 backed his pledge to pull out 100 million Nigerians out of poverty by committing $1bn through the National Social Investment Programme to reduce poverty and inequality.
“I am happy to report to you that every year since 2016, when NSIP was flagged off, Mr President has approved that $1bn be invested into that sector every year (which aggregated is over $5bn).” she said

On Sunday, June 20th 2021, the world celebrated Father’s Day with a lot of people paying tributes to their fathers, however, a Nigerian chef, Effizy Code took to his page to dedicate the special day to his mother.
The young man used the opportunity to call out African fathers who have shunned their responsibilities and left the task of catering for their families on the women.

A quite serious brawl between a man and a lady ensued at a Ghanaian bar known as Bloom Bar, which is located in the heart of Accra over the weekend.
The moment of the duo exchanging fisticuffs was captured on camera and reports that followed were that the man locked horns with a lady touted as Yaa Asantewa on social media over a seat at the cocktail bar.
Eyewitnesses reveal that the man had prior to their brawl, left his seat to meet someone outside the venue and upon getting back, the lady had already taken occupancy of his seat.
It’s reported that after the man asked the lady to vacate the seat, it led to a heated exchange of unpleasant words which evolved into a fight at the bar. Eyewitnesses say the lady’s boyfriend intervened in the fight and took it to another level.
It was the intervention of bouncers that led to the break up of the two men before they were escorted out of the premises. Some bystanders got hurt while others fled the venue without paying for their drinks.

An heartbroken Nigerian man has narrated how he discovered that his fiancée in the UK is pregnant for another man.
According to a close friend of the man who shared that heartbroken story on Twitter, the man sent his fiancée to the UK for an undergraduate programme and has been footing all the expenses for the past 2 years.
They reportedly had their traditional introduction before she travelled, however, the lady has been living with another man in the house he rented for her and now pregnant for the other man.
Upon this discovery three months ago, the young man who is in Nigeria has slipped into depression.

Nigerian Reality TV star, Tboss has written on life as a single mother as she joined the league of women who have also wished themselves a happy Father’s day.
In a post shared on Instagram, the mother of one disclosed that she never envisioned being a mother without being a wife because those were her dreams.

My body’s changed tremendously, I’m loosing hair, my eyes are puffy and Black and sunken. I can’t afford to have off-days because my mood would affect hers. Days when she’s under the weather- I loose sleep so badly that I break down as soon as she gets better. Pampers, wipes, baby food, clothes, cosmetics ain’t cheap. Constantly wondering if I’m doing the right thing? Constantly thinking about her future.
Constantly looking out for opportunities to invest for her, loosing money- Last week I lost so much money I’m yet to break down from that one and yet Every single day I get up- Grumpily sometimes but I show up for my Daughter. I do it for her regardless of my emotions. You know why? Because she didn’t ask to be here. I made the decision to have her and I’m gonna see this journey blossom till I draw my last breath.

Actress, Mercy Aigbe has tagged her former husband, Lanre Gentry, a shameless man after he threw a direct shade at her over her father’s day post.
On Sunday which was Father’s day, , Mercy had in the post celebrated herself for being a wonderful dad to her kids by paying up for their school fees.

Olympic sprint legend, Usain Bolt and his partner, Kasi Benneth have welcomed a set of twin boys and they gave their bundles of Joy a very interesting name.
The twins were named Saint Leo Bolt and Thunder Bolt.
The retired athlete shared the exciting news on Sunday June 20, to mark Father’s Day, releasing a photo shoot of his expanded family.
In the lovely shoot, Usain and Kasi are seen dressed up in white and cream outfits with their newborn boys on either side of them.
The Actress appears to have been blessed with a wonderful family and she is loving every bit of it.
