A Nigerian man has been arrested again just weeks after he was rescued from jungle justice on his last attempt to steal a phone.

The man identified as Chinedu was first lynched at Iyanaoworo while trying to steal a phone and was beaten to a coma by a mob.

Barely three months later, he made another attempt to steal and was caught and arrested by the authorities this time.

According to reports by Lagospedia, he was arrested by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) and has been sentenced for his crimes.

“Chinedu Ike, 25, was rescued from jungle justice by @rrslagos767 Patrol team sometimes in September, 2022 in Iyana Oworo over the theft of a mobile phone.

He was beaten to a coma by eyewitnesses before he was rushed to the hospital by the team. He was discharged after some days

On Monday, adopting his usual style, he sneaked into a parked car to steal the driver’s mobile phone in Iyana Oworo.
He was arrested by @rrslagos767 officers when those who knew Chinedu hinted the driver to check his phone.
Our officers recovered the driver’s Infinix Note 10 from Chinedu’s bag.”
