A differently-abled man has gone viral online after he recently dedicated his newborn baby in a Church in Delta State, Nigeria.

As the man dance-crawled down the aisle with his wife, the congregants cheered him on as it was a rare sight, and it warranted a joyous celebration.

Meanwhile, the wife has been praised by social media users. They praised her for sticking by her husband despite his condition, and they said their love is powerful and can withstand anything.

A Nigerian Man has taken to Facebook to share an experience he had with a lady who recently offered him a ride.

According to Babatunde Fagbemi, he got into the car, and few minutes later, the Tyre went flat. Babatunde revealed that to his utmost surprise, the lady asked him to get down, and help change the Tyre. He said he quietly walked away. LOL

A former member of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Olushola Wazzi Popoola who sought asylum in Canada has been denied over some activities he engaged in as a member of the controversial disbanded Nigerian police unit.

According to court documents, Popoola completed his training and became a member of the Nigerian Police Force in 2002. From 2002 to 2005, he was a member of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad [SARS] in Abuja. He was then transferred to the anti-robbery unit (not to be confused with the SARS) in Lagos until 2009. From 2009 to 2011, he returned to the SARS, this time in Lagos. His resignation was accepted by the Nigerian Police Force in 2015 after the death of his father.

The documents also revealed that “Popoola was found to be inadmissible to Canada because there are reasonable grounds to believe that he engaged in crimes against humanity while serving as a police officer in Nigeria.”

Gbolahan Ajibola, the Thirteen-year-old boy who was abducted by unidentified gunmen in Obada-Odo, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, on Saturday, April 10, has regained his freedom.

Few days back, it was reported that the gunmen invaded Destiny Estate Community Association in Obada-Oko around 9:15 pm, shot sporadically in the air before whisking the boy away.

On Tuesday evening, April 12, he was released and has since reunited with his family members.

Former Imo state governor cum Senator, Rochas Okorocha, has reportedly been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC.

Officials of the Commission laid siege to the former Governor’s private office at Nkwerre Street in Garki area of Abuja and picked him up shortly after he returned from a trip today April 13.

The arrest was confirmed by EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, but he however did not give reasons for the action.

A rabbit, believed to be the world’s largest, has gone missing after it was stolen from its owner’s home.

The Continental Giant rabbit known as ‘Darius the rabbit’ holds the Guinness world record for being the biggest rabbit in the world at 4 feet and 3 inches long (129 centimeters). The rabbit went missing from its owner’s home in Stoulton, Worcestershire, on Saturday night, April 10.

Annette Edwards, the owner of the giant rabbit, said she discovered Darius was missing on Sunday morning, April 11, and contacted the police, who have issued an urgent appeal for the return of the prize-winning bunny.

She has also offered a £1,000 reward for its return and took to Twitter to plead to those who took Darius to “please bring him back.”

“It is believed the Continental Giant rabbit was stolen from its enclosure in the garden of the property of its owners overnight on Saturday (10 April – 11 April),” the West Mercia Police in western England said in a statement.

“The rabbit is quite unique in the fact it is 4ft in size and has been awarded a Guinness Record for being the biggest rabbit in the world.”

Prolific Nigerian Writer, Solomon Buchi, recently took to his social media page to share his thoughts about a controversial aspect of getting married.

Solomon frowned at the idea that an Adult needs to seek his/her parents’ permission to marry someone, and he said if that is the case, the person is probably not old enough for marriage.

A 41-year-old man identified as Sthembiso Lamula has been accused of killing a woman and her daughter and stuffing their bodies into a suitcase.

Lamula made his first appearance in the Pinetown magistrate’s court on April 9, 2021, where he faced two counts of murder and kidnapping. He was remanded in police custody and will appear in court again on Friday, April 16.

According to SAPS spokesperson Col Thembeka Mbele, on October 6 last year the police in KwaDabeka, west of Durban, were alerted to a harrowing scene near the Umgeni River.

“On arrival the police found the bodies of two female victims packed in a big suitcase and dumped. The bodies were later identified as 36-year-old mother Simangele Simamane and her daughter, Sbongakonke Mthembu, 13. The victims had multiple injuries on their bodies and their necks were tied with a rope,” said Mbele.

She said Simamane had open wounds on the back of her head, multiple injuries on the face, bruises on her neck and burn wounds on the left leg and body.

“Her daughter had bruises on the neck and a stab wound on the left hip. It is alleged that the victims were kidnapped before they were killed”.

Almost six month later, on April 7, police officers were told that the suspect in the case, Lamula, was “back from hiding and was roaming the streets of KwaMashu”.

“They proceeded to his place of residence in KwaMashu and he was arrested. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are imminent” he added.
