Nigerian singer, Seyi Shay has revealed that she stopped taking pictures with random male fans or famous male figures to curb dating rumours.

Nigerian actress and former reality TV star, Erica Nlewedim has responded to a Twitter user who quoted one of her tweets when she went on a rant.
So what caused the actress to go on a bout on the social networking app, was cause some of her followers had been comparing her to other female housemates and telling her that she’s not giving them the kind of hot photos they want to see.

Controversial Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu has again taken to social media to reveal he’s gay barely a month after denouncing his sexuality as a gay man.
Recall that in January, Uche via his Instagram page announced he is gay and proud of his sexuality and three months after, he came out again to announce he isn’t gay.
In April, he denounced his sexuality as a gay and claimed he was only using his celebrity status to fight for the rights of LGBT in Nigeria.
However, weeks after the controversial gay actor in a post shared on his official Instagram page moment ago made a dramatic u-turn and again claimed he’s a proud member of the LGBT community.
Speaking about why he denounced his sexuality in April, he claimed he was arrested along lekki axis by armed security men, and was forced to deny being gay.

The young Ivorian lady who tattooed Nigerian crossdresser, Bobrisky, has called him out for allegedly assaulting her.

The general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor EA Adeboye, has made his first public appearance following the death of his son, Pastor Dare Adeboye.
The clergy man who lost his 42-year-old son on Tuesday, May 4th hosted the May edition of the monthly holy ghost communion service.
The bereaved father regardless of the incident preached the word of God at the holy ghost communion service.
He spoke on the importance of the bread and wine of the holy communion but kept mute on the passing of his son.
However the officiating pastor gave an hint after the sermon. According to him, the man of God who joined the program from the studio of the church’s station, DOVE Media, couldn’t join physically due to circumstances beyond his control.
He said,
“Tonight, daddy has prayed for us. He has also prayed on all the elements that we are going to use… He could have been here physically as he used to but due to circumstances beyond control, he was not able to be here but to the Glory of God, he has said to us, Jesus is here and he is also there praying for us.”

Nigerian rapper, Michael Ozumba Uchemba, popularly known as Zumzy Brown, has died after suffering an asthmatic attack.
Zumzy was said to have died moments after posting, “Had too much potential. Good night world“, on his WhatsApp status.
The deceased a 300 level student of Political Science at the Veritas University, Abuja, was rushed to Wuse General Hospital on Tuesday, May 4th, after the attack but didn’t survive it.
There are also screenshots of messages purported to be from him to his girlfriend. In the alleged chat, Zumzy declared his love for her and asking her to forgive him if he’s ever worried her.
Family and friends have since taken to social media to mourn his demise.
A friend of the deceased, @Chizobam Anaele wrote,

Kenyan YouTuber, Peter Kabi popularly known as Kabi WaJesus, has finally admitted to fathering a child with a lady alleged to be his cousin.
Kabi confirmed he had an affair with the mother of the child before he was born again, he revealed DNA results indicate that he is the father of the child who he simply identified as Abby.
According to him, he will now discharge his parental responsibility fully, and discuss the way forward with the mother of the child who is believed to be his cousin and only identified as Shiko.
He pleaded for forgiveness with his fans and stated that he now regrets his earlier comments where he disowned the child.

A cement-laden truck reportedly crushed two final year students of the Delta State University (DELSU) Abraka, to death.
The victims identified as Emmanuel Maduka and Timeyin Okoromadu, were crushed to death by the truck on Tuesday, May 4th.
According to viral reports, the deceased were best friends and met their death when the driver tried to avoid a motorcyclist and another vehicle plying the ever-busy Police station road in Abraka.
The truck skidded off the road and fell on the side where it crushed the victims. It was learnt that the two students were supposed to graduate in few months time.
Videos of the scene shows Maduka’s body partly trapped under the trailer, and Timeyin lying on a side of the road while sympathizers made frantic efforts to rescue any other victim by unloading the cement truck.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has released an official statement confirming the death of Pastor Dare Adeboye, son of its General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
According to the statement, Pastor Dare died on Tuesday, May 4th.
The statement reads,
“It is with a deep and heartfelt sense of loss, we announce the departure of our beloved son, brother, husband and father, Oluwadamilare Temitayo Adeboye. Who went to be with the Lord on the 4th of May, 2021.
His life was well lived as he served the Lord without reserve, giving effortlessly and leading fearlessly. He was crowned by the Lord with blessings of 3 seeds and a beautiful wife.

Recall that Pastor Adeboye’s 42 year old son, Pastor Dare Adeboye died in his sleep on Wednesday in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where he was based with his family.
Leke Adeboye in his reaction to his brothers sudden death, took to his official Instagram page to share a scripture from the bible on the death of the righteous.
The scripture reads,
“The righteous man perishes(at the hand of evil), and no one takes it to heart, Faithful and devout men are taken away, while no one understands. That the righteous person is taken away(to be spared) from evil and disaster”.
Leke also shared throwback photos of himself and his late brother with their other siblings. Meanwhile, no official statement has been released by the family to announce Dare’s demise.

However, on the same day, she was nabbed by the EFCC as one of the members of a syndicate of internet fraudsters in Makurdi Benue state.
Giving the update on their website, EFCC shared that Sassie (Deborah) and her clan were nabbed following an intelligence report on their alleged criminal activities in the state.
They gave the update as thus,
The Makurdi Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Saturday May 1, 2021 arrested four members of a syndicate of internet fraudsters in Makurdi, Benue State.
The suspects, Gideon Damisa, Sunday James, Friday Ebosele and Okiemute Deborah, were rounded up by operatives of the Commission following intelligence report on their alleged criminal activities in and around Makurdi metropolis.
At the point of arrest, the principal suspect Gideon Damisa was in possession of a Mercedes Benz GLK 350 2010 Model, 1 iPhone, 2 Pro Max, 2 Infinix phone and ATM cards, among others.
A Kenyan man identified as Stanley Owini, reportedly slashed his ex-girlfriend, Jacqueline Karima’s face with a sword.
It was gathered that Owini who has now been arrested following the attack, had repeatedly attacked and threatened Jacqueline since their eight years relationship ended in 2020 due to his numerous affairs.
Sharing the sad incident on Facebook, a women-led community organization alleged that Jacqueline had gone to buy soda at a nearby shop when Owini allegedly broke into her fifth floor apartment and hid in her bedroom.
When she returned, he ambushed her with a Masai sword which he used to slash her face as well as other parts of her body.
The NGO wrote,

Jacky was living with her boyfriend of eight years Stanley Owino until sometime last year when they parted ways , he had been having numerous affairs , and had even moved in with a lady who they got a baby with.
She moved out and her ordeal started there, Stanley threatening her that her would never let her go. The first time her followed her and stabbed her was in November. She reported and went to hospital, he disappeared and wasn’t arrested.
On January 5th this year , Stanley attacked her again and stabbed her in the back amongst other places , his claim was if he couldn’t have her no one would. Jacky was admitted to Hospital fighting for her life. Upon release she opted to move out of the estate, change her number and start afresh in a completely new environment. This matter was still reported, and he fled once again.
Yesterday Jacky who lives on fifth floor went to buy soda at the shop, she didn’t lock her door, however in returning, she was filled with trepidation, and as she used to she checked everywhere, the last place was her bedroom, where Stanley was waiting to ambush her with a Masai sword which he used to slash her face as well as her body.
We found out that Stanley had been tracking Jacky and had moved to the flat where she was staying and had been monitoring her movements. The police are currently in the house.
Stanley had finally been arrested and will be taking plea in court tomorrow and I don’t have enough thanks for Cynthia Njoroge for agreeing immediately to hold brief for this matter”.
Music producer, Don Jazzy has advised female singers to call out any producer who tries to take advantage of them in the music industry.
The Mavin boss who gave this advise in a recent interview with BBC, revealed that sex is often demanded from many female singers by music producers and TV personalities.
According to the music executive, he’s aware of this because he has a record label dominated by both male and female artists.
He stated that,
“In the past, maybe I had the opportunity to go through a female artiste’s phone and read conversations that the female artists had had with a bunch of producers, TV people, people in the industry.. everybody just wants s.e.x. It’s tiring. I feel sorry for them”.
According to him, the system is flawed and needs to be fixed, hence, parents should do better raising the male child.
He said, “We need to fix the system in general. We need to train the male child better.”
Speaking further, Don Jazzy advised female artists to publicly expose any music producer and media personalities who demand sex in exchange for a favor.
In his words, “If these young ladies start calling them out, that’s a start. If a producer says he wants to sleep with you, call him out!”
