Pastor Adeboye shares an interesting story from 1956, when he was poor.

Popular Nigerian clergyman, Pastor Adeboye recently took to his social media page to reminisce on the days when he was poor.

The RCCG General Overseer revealed that he was living with his uncle in 1956 and it was a time when they had to share everything together because there was barely enough to go round.

Years ago, I think it was in 1956, I was living with my uncle who was poor but I was poorer. If he had anything, we shared and when there is nothing, there is nothing. There was this day we were very hungry and there was no way food could come at all. Suddenly, a young girl came and said, “My sister said I should give you this pounded yam, vegetable and chicken.” My uncle said “I don’t know your sister. Are you sure”? The girl insisted so we took the food and my uncle said he would look for a gift to give her some other time and she left.

As soon as she left, we descended on the pounded yam and as soon as we finished it, the girl came back and said the food was not for him. I decree to you today, the miracle you don’t deserve, the Lord will send it to you this week.

There have been several reports of women finding out about their husband’s sexuality after they have tied the knot.

Addressing the situation, Adaeze advised such men to desist from marrying innocent women and making their lives miserable in marriage.

Lekki Shooting: Man offers N1.2m reward to anyone with evidence of casualties

A Nigerian man, identified as Bayo Adedosu has promised a reward of N1.2m to anyone who can provide an evidence of causality from the gun fire incident at Lekki Tollgate.

Bayo who is based in Canada offered the sum of N50K to anyone with proof of the shooting, which was later raised to the tune of N1.2m by random donors.

Recall that on the 20th of October, 2020, men of the Nigerian military shot at peaceful protesters at the Lekki Tollgate, which was a major protest venue during the EndSARS campaign against police brutality.

However, Bayo has now called on Nigerians to bring forward their evidence of causality, and promises to reward anyone with concrete evidence the sum of N1.2m.

His Tweet reads,

“Good morning fellow Nigerians. In the spirit of truth & justice, I am putting down 50k as a reward for anyone who can come forward with VERIFIABLE pictures of dead pple from the Lekki Toll Gate “shooting”. Pls note that sending fake pictures comes with dire consequences.

“You must be ready to prove that you took the pictures, the pictures must have timestamp and be assured that you’re safe. The money has increased to 150k naira with 2 pple adding 50k each.

“This is not a joke. Let’s put a closure to this debacle today. It will also help if you can send pictures of where DJ Switch was dropping the bodies of the dead at the feet of the Army Commandant or her blood stained outfit from lifting dead bodies drenched in blood.”

A pastor’s wife identified as Grace Ugonna Eze allegedly attacked her 14 year-old step son with a machete, leaving him brutally injured.

According to a source who wrote to us of the unfortunate incident, the boy’s biological mother died in 2015 and her husband, who is a pastor and moderator in a chosen church branch at Elejigbo, Ota, Ogun state, remarried after 3 months of her death.

According to our source, the boy’s life has reportedly been a living hell under the roof of his stepmother, since his mother’s demise.

It was reported that last Wednesday, November 11, his stepmother “Mrs Grace” was infuriated because he doesn’t stay at home and in a bid to punish him, slashed his arm with a machete and broke a bottle on his head.

However, neighbors said the boy is always going out to beg for food because his stepmother hardly feeds him.

In the photos and video, the 14 year-old was soaked in his own blood as his arm and head was bleeding profusely.

As at the time of this report, the step mother is yet to be arrested for the alleged crime.

From the chat he shared on Instagram, his mother sent the picture of a lady and inquired if he is interested in collecting her contact details. She further added that there is someone else she would like him to meet, if he doesn’t mind.

Williams Uchemba’s wife, Brunella Oscar has shared their unique love story, as she revealed she was the first to send him a DM on Facebook.

According to Oscar, she was randomly scrolling through Facebook on November 22nd, 2016 when she stumbled on Williams video and started watching it, and afterwards sent him a message as she was convinced she has found her husband.

Oscar who shared their love story with Wedding Digest Naija, said,

“It was the evening of 22nd November 2016 when I was scrolling down on Facebook and randomly came across a video of a guy (Williams) preaching the gospel and advising the young people on the path to follow in life .

The video was about 15 mins long but 30 seconds into the video I heard a voice saying “This is my husband!” I had no idea who this guy was, never even heard of his name before but I felt the urge to message him on FB messenger just to encourage him to do more and never give up on his passion I immediately clicked on his name, noticed it was a “fan page” but didn’t think too much of it because I thought that maybe he was a motivational speaker of some sorts. So I messaged him but I was not expecting a reply.

At the time I had just started my MSc. Degree 2 months ago and I vividly remember going to uni the next day all happy and smiling, telling all my friends that I had met my husband the night before. My friends can bear me witness because they thought I was crazy when I narrated the circumstance surrounding my statement s (bearing in mind I hadn’t got a reply yet!)

That afternoon , 23rd November I surprisingly got a reply from him but all he said was: “Thanks! Where are you from?” 1 To me that was a very blunt answer but I replied by saying where I was from, and then asked him the same question.

“His reply; ” I am from that state your mother doesn’t want you to marry from” . As I didn’t know what he meant I told him so and eventually he told me where he was from.

He then asked me for my age which I told him to guess, and he guessed right. He then gave me his number and asked me to message him on WhatsApp since there was a lot of traffic on his Messenger. That same night he video called me and we spoke for hours, and every subsequent night after that too.

“We video called each other a lot, we got to know each other more and more which was fun and easy because we felt like we’ve known each other for 10 years or more. We clicked instantly and I didn’t want to scare him off by saying “oh by the way the Holy Spirit told me you’re my husband” -* . I just let the friendship grow naturally and patiently waited for God to reveal that to him Himself.

“He told me a bit more about his work and passion for the less privilege and invited me to attend the next Winter edition of the Youth Assembly conference at the UN Headquarters in New York. We felt that would be a good platform to meet in person and hopefully see if we liked each other as much as we did over the phone. So 2 months after we started talking, now January 2017 , I went to NY and met him for the very first time.

“It’s fair to say that we connected instantly and it was clear to us that we were each other’s missing piece in our lives. We only spent 1 week in NY but, it sure felt like we’ve known each other all our lives and, 4 years later….well the rest is history.”

The love birds, who had their traditional wedding yesterday, November 15th, have their white wedding ceremony slated for November, 21st, 2020.

It can be recalled that in a recent interview with Sunday Scoop, Paschaline Alex said stardom had taught her not to say too much because there was a tendency for people to misconstrue her words.

She said;

“Stardom has cautioned me not to say too much because people could change my words. I still do the things I like to do and go to places I delight in. I have tried not to let fame take my best moments away from me.”

On some of the challenges she experienced before stardom, the actress said, “Having to wait after auditions was one of the challenges I faced when I started out. One had to wait to hear if one got a call back. The worst part was that if one didn’t get the role, one would probably never be informed.”

Former BBNaija housemate, Victoria Adeyele otherwise known as Vee recently celebrated as she hit 1m followers on photo sharing platform, Instagram.

The reality star, who had been anticipating the milestone couldn’t hide her excitement as she took to Twitter to express her love and gratitude to her loyal fans and followers.

She also threw a subtle shade at those who mocked her for garnering 1% of the total final votes. According to her, her 1% got her to 1 million followers.

Recall that the singer, who made it to the show’s finale but was the first to be evicted, got 1% of the entire votes casted by viewera and was trolled for days by social media users.

She tweeted,

Award-winning Nigerian artiste, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has opened up on the reason he was actively involved in the #EndSARS Protest.

Recall that there was a major youth uprising across the country against police brutality and extra-judicial killing. Many celebrities joined the movement and “Star Boy” also lent his voice and joined the protest in London.

Speaking in an interview on Capital Xtra’s The Norte Show, the pop singer revealed that he had been a victim of police brutality before fame and stated that it needs to end.

He further added that he would have been a coward, if he didn’t speak up.

In his words,

“Police brutality is a serious situation back home in Nigeria. It has been 60 years of political injustice, nepotism, madness and corruption at the highest level.

It is sad that my son is about to be 10 years old and Nigeria is still going through all these madness. If I didn’t speak up or use my voice, then I would be a coward. I will continue to speak about things that affect people in their daily lives.

I had been a victim of police brutality before I became popular and I know it still goes on. That needs to end. We deserve good governance in Nigeria.”
