The management of the Deeper Life High School in Akwa Ibom state has reacted to the viral report of abuse suffered by one of it’s student, Don Davis.
The management vowed not to cover up any immoral act perpetrated in the school even as it investigates the alleged sexual abuse of Don Davis Achibong.
Deborah Okezie, mother of Don Davis has been calling on Nigerians to help her get justice for her son. She said that there is a plan to coverup the story by the authorities of the school and the state government.
However, the Education Secretary of the school, Thelma Malaka, said the alleged act of sexual abuse is currently being investigated by the state government and the police.
In her words ;
”Permit me to remind you that the office of the governor of Akwa Ibom state has taken over the investigation of the matter to ensure neutrality and a dispassionate outcome. We appreciate the concerned effort of everyone who has shown support in the investigation thus far.
We reiterate that we will be transparent and that justice will not only be served, it will be seen by all that it has been served.
Recall that we had earlier suspended the principal of the affected campus and initiated an investigation into the matter. We decided to restrain ourselves after the first update because we thought it is subjudice to comment on a matter that is currently under investigation.
However, considering the potential impact of this issue, especially on what we stand for, we are compelled to provide an early update before the final report is released by the government.
The panel has sat and we have presented staff members and students of our school who have been mentioned in this particular case all through the period of the investigation.
We have unflinching confidence in our God to resolve the issue such that at the end, the truth will ultimately prevail.
The police is also currently investigating this matter and we have been invited to share our own side of the story.

A Nigerian pastor has reportedly condemned his congregation for gifting him only eight hundred thousand naira (N800,000) as send forth gift.
A Twitter user, @Pipeloluwa_ who claimed to be a member of the church revealed that the said pastor was an outgoing pastor of a popular church in Lagos, and the congregation was able to raise N800,000 for him as send forth gift.
The outgoing pastor who was not pleased at the amount of the cash gift, allegedly slammed the current pastor and church members for not raising up to N1 million naira for him.
Narrating the event, Pipe wrote,

36-year-old lecturer, Major Walter Anma Isa, was reportedly shot dead by gunmen in Benue, on Christmas Eve.
Isa, until his death was a lecturer at the College of Education Katsina-Ala and PhD student of the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
He was among five persons killed by unknown gunmen who attacked the residence of Katsina-Ala Local Government chairman, Alfred Avalumun Atera on motorbikes a day before Christmas.
Isa has been laid to rest in his hometown today, December 29th. Friends and family have since taken to social media to mourn his demise.

The Lagos State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN has instructed all churches in the state to endeavour to end their cross-over services by 11 pm on December 31, 2020.
The directive is contained in a statement signed by the Lagos State CAN chairman, Bishop Steven Adegbite.
It would be recalled that the Lagos State Government had ordered all worship centres in the state to suspend night services, vigils and cross-over events.
The state also announced a 12am to 4am curfew as part of measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
Reacting to the order, CAN in its statement said, “As part of our responsibility as a law-abiding organisation and in response to the appeal made to us by the State Government, we hereby direct that all churches should ensure their services on 31st of December, 2020 end at 11:00 pm so as to allow attendees get to their respective homes and places of rest on or before 12:00 midnight when the curfew will start.”
CAN assured the government that “Christians will continue to be a strong partner in the quest to see that the spread of COVID-19 does not happen and that it becomes a thing of the past within the shortest time possible.”

Kemi Olunloyo in a recent Instagram post revealed that she has never been married because she cant submit to a man, noting that only weak women are submissive to men.

A Nigerian lady has left social media users stunned and filled with questions after showing off her engagement ring that has an ancient idol cresting.
The lady identified as Adejumo Abiola had taken to Twitter to share the controversial photo of her engagement ring and announced that she said “Yes, I’ll marry you” to her man.

A medical doctor has narrated his desperate attempt to save a woman and her child after she rejected CS because her church made her believe it’s demonic.
The medical personnel with twitter handle @Sports_Doctor2, explained that the woman had been in labour for two days but still refused to undergo cesarean section.
According to him, she was taken to her church where she was prayed for but had to be rushed back to the hospital at the point to death.
An emergency cesarean section had to be conducted and prior examination revealed that the woman had Cephalon Pelvic Disproportion and no amount of prayers or anointing oil could have helped the woman deliver the baby.
The doctor said the baby was ‘almost’ dead when it was brought out, but the nurse on duty refused to give up and employed every means to resuscitate the baby, who eventually gave a loud cry after 45 minutes.
Fortunately, the mother and her baby survived the terrible ordeal. The doctor went on to advise intending mothers to rebuke the counsel of any pastor that tells them C/S is demonic.

An Eyewitness at the scene of the fight between Nigerian super stars, Davido and Burna Boy has given details of what transpired between the singers.
The eye witness identified as Steven Mingle, in an interview with The PUNCH gave detailed account of the scuffle between Davido and Burna at Twist Club and Lounge in Ghana.
According to Mingle who claimed to be present at the scene, Burna Boy was the first to attack Davido.

Popular YouTuber, Grace victory has been placed in a medically induced coma one day after giving birth to a baby boy.
The YouTube star reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 two weeks ago, while in the third trimester of her pregnancy. Her condition worsened and made doctors induce the birth of her son on Christmas Eve, December 24th.
According to a message posted on the vlogger’s Instagram page on Monday, December 28th, the birth of her baby was not due until February 2021, but was induced because of her condition.
The 30-year-old new mum entered the ICU the day after giving birth and is currently in a medically induced coma.

“As you guys know, Grace gave birth on Christmas Eve to a beautiful baby boy, who is currently doing so well, he’s incredible.
“We Love him so much. Grace developed Covid-19 two weeks ago and although her symptoms were mild at first, they worsened as the days went on. Which meant they had [to] deliver the baby as soon as possible, as she was just too unwell to carry on with the pregnancy.
